Bousou Kareshi is a collection of oneshots all smut filled. There is a short, couple of chapters with a couple who appear in a couple of Sakira’s other one shot mangas, Sailor Danshi being one of them, but again, it’s not something that takes itself seriously at all. In fact, the entirety of the manga is a smut filled PWP (Plot What Plot) series of stories that don’t take themselves seriously, and it for the pure sake of hardcore sex. The other thing that makes this whole manga entertaining, is the fact that the relationships are turned around and upside down. Those you think would be the seme or uke aren’t always so, and even the relationships themselves are anything but typical.
The manga is also rampant with dubious consent that one could argue isn’t really consent at all, so if that is something that you have a problem with, then this will not be for you. Also, this is borderline Bara which again, is not to everyone’s taste (I am definitely not a fan), but the thing that makes this style different is that, while the men in this manga are quite buff, they are still attractive/pretty which makes the manga pleasing to read. The artwork is pleasing though there are “artistic liberties” taken when it comes to the anatomy but if you can look past all the ridiculousness of it, then it’s not so bad. The expressions are great and the characters are rather nice to look at even though it borders on Bara. The sex scenes are quite graphic, so if it’s details you are interested in this will appeal to you.
Do not go looking to this if you are looking for something even remotely meaningful or deep because this is a manga that is for those who just want a lot of sex and don’t want to worry about anything beyond that. This will not be for everyone but if you are looking for a good smutty read to pass the time or just out of boredom then give this one a shot.
