If someone is gay or loves someone of the same sex there's really nothing you can do about it. People love who they love and there is nothing you can do about it. If my boyfriend told me he was gay I would probably be upset but then try to except and maybe even try to be happy for him and support him because being gay it changes the way people view you at least where I live. I don't know about your friend but I wouldn't want to be with someone who didn't love me the same way I loved them.
