A pair of high school students, Kei Kurono and Masaru Kato, are hit by a subway train, after saving the life of a homeless drunk who had fallen onto the tracks. Following their deaths, Kurono and Kato find themselves transported —alive and well— along with a number of people who have also just died, to the interior of a Tokyo condominium. They are unable to leave, as the outside door and all the windows can not be opened, and cell phones do not work. At one end of the room is a featureless black sphere known as "Gantz". The series regularly introduces new characters. Most of them are killed off almost as quickly as they appear, though after a time, a stable cast of veterans forms. After some time in the room, music is played, and the Gantz sphere opens up, revealing a bald naked man with a breathing mask and wires attached to his head, and three racks protruding from it, that offer various items for them to use. These include the custom fitting black suits Gantz makes for each of them, giving them great strength, speed, jumping ability, and some level of protection from harm, a controller which act as a radar and stealth unit, and three types of guns. When the Gantz sphere opens, green text appears on the surface of the sphere, informing those present that their lives have ended. The following words appear on the black sphere's surface: "Your lives have ended. What you do with your new lives is entirely up to me. That's the theory, anyway." (The ADV translations have it as "Your lives are over, you bastards. What you do with your new lives is for me to decide. So there you have it.") A picture and brief information is shown of some of the Gantz Targets, Gantz ordering them to go and kill them. All but one target shown thus far, have been aliens living on Earth, which take on a wide variety of forms(dinosaurs, robots, statues, etc.) After a period of time which varies between missions, everyone except Gantz are transported to the location of the mission. Those sent cannot return from the mission until all enemies have been killed, or the time limit has run out. If they survive a successful mission, each individual is awarded points for the aliens they have killed. They are then allowed to leave, and live their lives as they see fit until Gantz summons them back again for the next mission. When someone gets a hundred points, they are presented with the hundred point menu and given the option of being set free and forget about this, get an extremely powerful new weapon, or revive someone from the databanks who has died.

KYAAAAAAAAAAAAA~~~!!! first and foremost, thank you so much Hama-san for sharing these amazing information with us. for your generous efforts to translate this for us so we can understand it more and appreciate and fall in love with. i've been going through some tough time these past few days and i've missed out on my reactions to the two previous posts so i'm gonna have to make up for it right now. heheh! Day 7. oh wow! even the weather cooperated with filming so it would give more of that heartbreaking atmosphere necessary for Shingyouji to run and that scene has really been one of the most dramatic indeed. having read the manga version of the dressing room scene, i am so glad that the director took it to another direction because the movie version is more effective...and can i say SEXIER? HOTTER? MORE PASSIONATE? hehehe! i mean we've all watched it in action but just looking at the screen captures...we still could feel how good it was. makes me wanna watch Pure again. the nearness of Misu to Shingyouji is so good to watch. *bites pillow* OMG!! DAY 8!! *meltiiiiiiiiiiiiiing* i am looking at the screen capture images...that longing look of Taiki to Baba-chan you can see the anticipation in his eyes. OMG! and the kiss..their eyes closed like that. i mean...gosh...these are just screen capture images...usually they're the most revealing because when things are in motion, you can overlook certain facial emotions but when it's freezed like this...oh wow... and i could really, really say after having seen a lot of these dressing room kiss scenes from Pure. Baba-chan and Taiki REALLY were so into the kiss. it's so amazing! it's sooooooooooo HOT! and i'm looking at it and here i am pulling my hair again over my face and chewing my hair. i'm so weird like that. i am SO TURNED ON!! WAAAAAAAH!!! it's everything. from the way they looked at each other intently. their lips about to touch. and the kissing itself and their mouths open with their eyes closed all that passion right there. Taiki's grip on Baba-chan's neck and Baba-chan holding him close kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! oh my heart! i am pinching my cheeks. my face is so warm right now. i like the fact that Baba-chan takes the lead in kissing Taiki and then Taiki responding and taking over as well so....i'm shaking...so we get to see that they poured a lot into that kiss and we get to see how deep the relationship Misu and Shingyouji has between them. that they're really crazy about each other. i'm shaking again...waaah!! it's so wonderful to know that Baba-chan really helped Taiki feel comfortable and you know making him feel like they're dating and stuff 'cause they realize how important chemistry should be for their characters to be effective and convincing. the fact that they like each other's company really shows and we get to see all that onscreen. they're so perfect for each other. sleeping Shingyouji while Misu smiles is also one of my favorite Pure scenes. it's so touching and i love the fact that they used that scene for Misu to reflect upon when he looks at a sad Shingyouji before he holds his hand. waaaah! can i just say I LOVE EVERY MISUSHIN scene in Pure? so in love yo! KIMOCHII~~~♥ ♥ ♥ so when people say that it's fishkiss...what the hell? i agree with June-chan that it's such a hateful comment. and yes like Tat-chan...I am still steamed over that person who said this. i also think it's cruel and stupid and i am sure that person does not know what a hot kiss is supposed to look like. i wanna slap that person with a fish and say.. It's always good to do a scene like that you're comfortable with. Although Taiki and Baba didn't know one another very well they did develop quite a bond and I'd say that did help with the scene. I also have to say again that Baba-chan does NOT kiss like a fish. *still steamed over the person who said he did* Now that I got that out of my system. "However, the rest of shot was left for Misu and Shingyouji’s love to do it, so the interfere was useless in here." in the beggining misu is the one who set the kissing pace...and they stop kissin for a sec to take a breath... and after that shingyouji start more active with the kiss.. omg..i wud never get tired for this scene. x3~ babachan and taiki saiko!!

"10 days of Pure" Day 8 Hello Continue from yesterday, day 5 of shooting "Pure" around 3:00a.m. "I came out with better sex appeal." Naitou-kun said. For "the dressing room scene" they used corner of the cafeteria(or kitchen) they were stay in(quarters) We requires two-way of cut from left and right toward the mirror. So they took the love flowing scene twice. For this scene director particularly focus on the “shape”(look) like, "Misu buttons up from behind Shingyouji" and "the way hand move to face before the kiss" etc. So they took the shot with aware of those two’s appearance. However, the rest of shot was left for Misu and Shingyouji’s love to do it, so the interfere was useless in here. For this dressing room scene, most of decision was been shelved by director and after that around to attack(?!?!) the Shingyouji was a flow of feeling. Unfortunately, they had a little "difficult" on appearance around (laughs) After the kiss and beautifully fade out. After the shot they take a narrated until around 5:00a.m. Right after they finish they leave there to the town. Again, we try to make it but often we get confused the date. We arrived in town around 8:00a.m in the day sixth of shooting. Now the scene of “the clothing store before Misu and Shingyouji entering the fitting room" The shop they borrowed for the shooting they also borrow the clothes Shingyouji will try on in the dressing room. The finish shot at the clothing store, the Takumi-kun series "Pure" movie shooting is All Up! Director said, "The last day (day 6) of shooting we didn’t struggle, but all the hardship come after shooting for us." They really did struggle a lot but the finishing come out very good so they are happy. Questions Q, Which of the scene is the ideal caught for the director Yokoi in this movie? A, The last scene of "Misu and Shingyouji", when they finished editing it come out as what he had in his mind. This scene has taken on the second day not too long after the shooting start. Around this time, Naitou-kun was still not used to shooting and had to fighting hard every night with script. Also, Baba-kun had to make it feel more like dating each other, and the partnerships between two of them growing stronger day by day when the shooting progress. Q, How did you come up with the scene Misu looking at sleeping Shingyouin in the student’s councilor room and smiling at him? A, When director reading the original story the sensed he feeling of Misu in the original story and just tried to visualize straight in the film. If you notice, tomorrow is the day 9 of "10 days of Pure" We are looking for "Your favorite scene in the Pure" until tomorrow. Well they didn't tell much as I thought about... --;;; But, from day 5 night to day 6 last scene... they didn't sleep at all... --;;; They said of the shoot they did narrated and they go after that to shot the last scene... May be they sleep during moving to town... but stilll not much... I think I know why they all got struggle after finish... --;;; Any way... I have to go now... So enjoy this... See you later!! ^^

oh man I gotta catch up again! Sometimes I love my job sometimes I hate it! Oh well. Each time I see the kisses between all the pairing it just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. And I don't know I just *fangirl squeals* I think the eye contact between Misu and Shingyoshi is a perfect example of 'love at first sight' at least for Shingyoshi lol. As for the chocolate exchange I'm not surprised they had to do more than one take. It would be extremely difficulty to shoot all the angle with just one take and think of it this way they each get to have chocolate lol.

Either a shark or a black panther, I guess. A shark because I lovelovelove to swim (if I could I would be inside water all the time), I'm independent and bloodthirsty. Also it's been scientifically proved that sharks aren't merely driven by instinct but also by actual logical deductions. And they love to bite. *grins* A black panther because firstly: felines are one of the most -if not the most- independent creatures walking upon the Earth (yeah, I actually could have said any large cat species -lions, tigers, pumas, jaguars, leopards, chitas. 'cos i love them all- but I worship black-colored animals *drools* and the term 'panther' includes practically all of them). Stealth and mysterious, either lazing around looking bored or murderously hunting a prey -sort of lame metaphor for: a) fighting for a goal and/or b) plain and simply torturing someone for the pleasure of it. Maa~, all in all I'm a predator and that's about it. (:

the denial it's pretty annoying too. it's okay at first. you can understand, especially because most of these smex scenes happens by surprise. like.. they are having a conversation and then, sunddenly, the seme just jumps over the uke and basically "attack" him. so i can understand the surprise and the first denial. but when they keep doing it.. afff... come on! you want it too! stop making a scene! and well, for me, it's really uncomfortable when the uke looks like a children. it's okay if it is someone younger, but come on! at least some legal age... i know i know, some people likes that, but everytime i see that, i feel like a pedhophily. i *know it is not the same thing*, but ican't stop feeling like that, and then i just jump out of it.
