Chapter 04 Friday, December 18 Dear Diary, I took a cab today, so I didn’t get to see him. I can’t believe that I took a cab to avoid him?! The fare seriously cost me a bomb; I haven’t taken one for a very long time. Is this what they call, “spend a little money, block a bigger disaster”? Frankly speaking, why do I need to avoid him? Why should I be angry? Why is everything about him filling up my whole diary? It’s too strange! In fact, I have a sudden urge to ask him if he was waiting for me when I saw him yesterday! End up I didn’t of course!... I was afraid, afraid that it was only my unrequited love… No wait, that’s not it. It should be said that I didn’t want him to misunderstand me. I miss him when he came into the cabin and sat beside me, ha… sometimes I’ll glance at him a few times. Of course, he wouldn’t know that! Tomorrow… If he’ll appear tomorrow… I promise! Chapter 03 Monday, December 14 Dear Diary, I’m in a bad mood now, and I didn’t intend to write anything today… But in the end, I still wrote. I had intended to apologize to him today. I was a little happy yet a little embarrassed when I saw him on the platform. When I finally gathered my courage, decided to approach him, a lady appeared! She ran towards him, and… and… and hugged him! Damn! The train came, just in time, so I halted my steps towards him and dashed into train… And to think he had some nerves to take the seats directly opposite me. Of course, the one sitting beside him was ‘THAT’ lady! And sh… she’s holding his hands too! Argh… Fortunately, they got off one stop earlier then usual, otherwise, I might… Forget it! I’m not writing tomorrow! Never am I going to write again! Tuesday, December 15 Dear Diary, I had said that I wouldn’t write anymore, but habit is a very terrifying thing. Just like getting used to seeing him every day, getting used to him sitting next to me. I was still a little happy when I saw him today. But when I saw the lady next to him, I really wanted to turn around and walk away, but my feet were like nailed to the ground, and I couldn’t move… Watching them board the train, watching the train leaves the station slowly, watching the train disappeared completely from my eye… I leaned helplessly by the pillar behind me. The funny thing is, just when the door closes, he noticed that I did not board the train and had this… surprised expression on his face. Ha… was that even necessary? Habit is really a very terrifying thing. It seems that I have to start quitting such bad habit. Wednesday, December 16 [Online] [Daichi: Hey, you alright? Got to get used, got to get used to it! Just when I was trying to move a little bit more into the train, someone rushed into the train. The train is already so packed, yet this moron still dares to try squeezing in, fighting the spaces with me?! I would of course need to take a good look at this moron! But the next moment, I regretted. I shouldn’t have looked!! The moment I see who that person is, I was like… OH MY GOD… It’s Him! God! I’ve already taken the second train but why would I still see him?! Damn! I couldn’t even get down the train even if I wanted to now. I decided that I’m not going to care about his presence, but why does this damn train have to be so shaky, and this makes the commuters shaky of course! I would rather bang on the train door than touch him! Hitting on the train door isn’t enjoyable! I bet I’m sulking by now. Just when I have the preparation of kissing the train door again, I didn’t felt any pain at all. ?_? That’s because the egghead blocked me away from the door! Grateful?! NO WAY!! He used his hand to protect my head from the door, and I could feel his breathe just by my ears… If possible, I would really wish to jump off the train! Of course, I didn’t! Fortunately, I’ll be getting off at the next station. I rushed out the door just before it was about to close, so I don’t know how he reacted to it. I think it would be better for me to not take the train tomorrow, such surprises isn’t very good for the heart. To be Continued...

Chapter 09 [FINALE] It feels… Just like my diary… But [Daichi] he… Rui, he’s much more direct then I am. Si thought, after reading, and while the ice cream on the Tiramisu melts. “Let’s go!” Rui said as he asked for the bill. “To where?” Si gently keeping his gift back into the box as he said. “For the countdown!” Wow! It’s already 11:40pm! Time flies! With this, Si followed Rui to a corner just around the Christmas Tree, waiting for the arrival of Christmas. “We’ve known each other for 2 years…” Rui suddenly spoke. “I still remember how we met on XXX’s web forum. You and I really hit off very well and chatting with you is really enjoyable. My original workplace was nowhere near yours, but, I requested for a transfer in order to get close to you, to meet you. But I didn’t have the courage to. I didn’t have the courage to face you.” “Why?” Am I so scary?! "Because I’m a homo." Rui said frankly. "I'm afraid... I am afraid you would discriminate against me." "Is this how you look at me? That I would discriminate you?!” Si was angry. "I'm afraid you will be like most of the people, thinking that I’m heterogeneous..." You mean... I... I have the chance!?!" Rui momentary excitement has led him to inadvertently loosen the clutching of Si’s hand. "I... I was drooling?!?! I felt so ashamed!!! But he didn’t have much reaction… I guess I better move on to another cabin from tomorrow onwards! That was so embarrassing!!! Friday, December 11 Dear Diary, I wanted to go to the other cabins today. Unpredictably, I met him as early as on the platform! He didn’t seem to mind what has happened yesterday. And since I’ve been spotted, I don’t think there’s a need to avoid him… do I? If he really mind what happened yesterday, he could go ahead to have his seat somewhere else… However, he still sat right by my side. Oh god!!! What’s happening to me!?!? I’m actually… I’m actually… I’m actually glad that he is not avoiding me! I think I’m ill, seriously ill… Maybe I should ask [Daichi] what wrong with me tomorrow! Saturday, December 12 [Online] [sora: I think I’m sick.] [Daichi: 0_0 sick?! Have you visit a doctor yet? Is there any where that’s having pain or discomfort? .V. Tsk, you should be visiting a doctor if you’re not feeling well! Why are you coming online instead?!] [sora: Oh please~~~! Let me finish my sentence would you? It’s not THAT kind of illness that any doctors could cure. It’s not exactly very serious… just that there is this person who keeps floating in my mind. And when I see that person, I feel embarrassed. [sora] bowed his head down in depress, thinking, it’s been 6 days…… Suddenly, a pair of black leather shoes appear in front of [sora]’s eye. Who could this be? Standing in front of someone so abruptly, [sora] thought. He wasn’t in a good mood, hence he start cursing in his heart. Next moment, the owner of the black leather shoes spoke. “You are [sora] right?” [Daichi]? [sora] slowly raised his head, from the black shoes, to the black pants, his eye then remained on the XXX’s book. It really is [Daichi]! “Not looking at me?” It can’t be that he’s shy, is he?! [Daichi] smiled toward [sora]. As though he had gathered all his determination, [sora] finally looked up. “You… You…” As expected! Just as what he has imagined, [sora] – tried – to turn and ran away the minutes he sees him. Since [Daichi] had expected this, he managed to reach out and grabbed him. “Let go of me!” Back facing [Daichi], [sora] spoke unfeelingly. “I’ll let you go if you listen to my explanations!” [Daichi] knows it, if he let’s go of [sora], he might never be able to see him again! “Explanations of what?! The fact that you played me around like a puppet?!” [sora] said agitatedly. “No I didn’t! Ever since the very first time we’ve met, I had always wanted to tell you that I’m [Daichi]!! But I was in a horrible state, remember, how could I admit it to you?! I was embarrassed because you were staring at me bluntly!” I admit... I had originally intended to play a joke on you… “Since… Since when did I?! With someone all drenched up seated beside you, which retarded person wouldn’t stare at him?” [sora] blushed unknowingly. “But you looked at me as though you were in love with me!” [sora] felt the instant gush in embarrassment in him and said, “Try saying it one more time, and I’ll kill you!” [Daichi] looked at [sora] and smiled. He said gently, “Nope, you wouldn’t.” [sora] stood in astonishment. Once again, he stared at him bluntly. His eyes are beautiful! “Look, I’ve charmed you once again didn’t I? Which is why I believe you wouldn’t kill me. Haha… Now this reminds me of the first time we met.” [Daichi] spoke, still smiling. Hmm? This scenario… seems so familiar… Wh…what was I doing?! Why was I staring at him unconsciously again?! [sora] snapped back to reality. Seems to know his thought by heart, [Daichi] was first to speak. "On the first day that we met on train, you were staring at me with those glances as well. Do you know what it means?" “What does it means?” [sora] ask innocently. “It means, your glance, is filled with admiration!” [Daichi] said proudly. Idiot… [sora] thought. “It’s getting late, I need to get home.” “Late? Now? It’s only 8pm...” “I have the habit of going to bed early.” “Oh… Let’s go for supper, I’m hungry!” “Supper? Now? It’s only 8pm...” “I have the habit of eating supper early.” [Daichi] smiled brightly as he grab on to [sora]’s hand, leading him towards TM Shopping Mall. He’s definitely the idiot of the idiots… [sora] thought, and – for a second – smiled. In order to not create a scene in front of the crowd, and feeling a little hungry at the same time, [sora] hence did not mind – just for a while - [Daichi] holding on to his hand. It’s only his facial expression that shows obvious reluctance. The crowd in front of TM Shopping Mall must be wondering, why the guy in front seems to be so full of joy, yet, the one behind seems to be rather discontented. To be Continued...

Chapter 01 Thursday, December 3 Dear Diary, it has been 3 days since the rain stopped. Things still went the same way as before... He was able to rush into the cabin just before the door closed... and sat beside me. It was 3 days ago when I first met him, the weather was pouring, which makes the train cabin looks exceptionally deserted. Feeling all emotional, I looked out towards the pouring sky. Pondering. This is how a day ended. I guess it would be the same tomorrow as well? Then, it happened. He ran into the cabin, all wet. No umbrella huh... I guess. There was this awkward phenomenon generated, so I decided to glance away from the origin. Unexpectedly, I felt a new presence beside me. Tozouku didn’t bother to turn around as he headed for the staircase. “Yes?” “About that big mission mentioned last night, do you know anything about it? Any details?” Tozouku did stop at that but didn’t turn around. “No. But I have a meeting with the Chief today. He and I are to discuss the details of it then.” He glanced over his shoulder. “Why do you ask?” Kaisuke folded his hand behind his back. “No reason.” Tozouku wasn’t buying it. “Don’t give me that Kaisuke.” He turned around his emerald eyes glowing. “You know better than to keep secrets from me.” Kaisuke looked away not wanting to confirm the location of the other vampire’s gaze. “’Well Miakatsu seemed pretty upset about it. I was just wondering if you knew why.” Tozouku continued to look at Kaisuke for several more seconds before allowing his eyes to return to normal. “I’m not sure about that myself. As far as I know Miakatsu has never once had a complaint about a mission. You all three know if you aren’t up to it for good reason you don’t have to go.” Kaisuke shrugged. “Maybe he wants one Friday night back.” Tozouku eyed the other vampire quizzically. “What do you mean by that?” “Well Haiake and Miakatsu are high school students; seniors to be exact.” Kaisuke pointed out. “Most high school students often enjoy parties and hanging out with friends on Friday nights.” “But Miakatsu doesn’t have many friends.” Tozouku protested. “At least not to my knowledge.” “It’s true my list of friends is smaller than Haiake’s intelligence level.” Miakatsu said as he climbed down the ladder. “But trust me Kaisuke that’s not the reason I’m not looking forward to the big mission.” Kaisuke folded his arms in front of chest. “Enlighten us then, Miakatsu.” Miakatsu glared at the older vampire as he walked passed him. “I have my reasons and not one of them I consider any of your business.” Not waiting for a response he headed down the stairs leaving the other two with questioning looks. I only wish I knew what was bothering him.” Recovered, Kaisuke placed a reassuring hand on the older vampire’s shoulder. “He’ll talk to you when the time is right; he always does.” Seconds later he let out a yawn. “I think I’ll go take a nap before class.” Tozouku chuckled before leading Kaisuke down the stairs. “I’m going to check on Haiake then start on breakfast. I’m guessing you’ll pass?” Kaisuke covered his mouth to mask his next yawn. “Save me a plate if you can.” Tozouku only chuckled more in return as he made his way towards Haiake’s and Miakatsu’s shared room. He hesitated before entering hoping that Miakatsu would have decided to avoid the other vampire this morning. The room appeared to be void of any presence of the dark blonde vampire so he quietly shut the door and approached Haiake’s bed. He reached to feel the youngest vampire’s forehead to check for fever. Before he could reach it he was greeted with a hand grasping his wrist. “Don’t even think about-“ Haiake started cutting himself off when he realized whose wrist he was holding. “Oh Tozouku, what are you doing here? I thought you were Miakatsu.” Tozouku cleared his throat and looked at Haiake’s hand. “Are you going to let me go?” Haiake looked at his hand as well before letting go of the older vampire’s wrist and looking away. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean I-“ he bit his lip. Tozouku gripped Haiake’s chin and gently pulled down. “You need to stop that.” He released his grip seconds later. Haiake nodded in return. “I’m sorry.” Several moments of silenced followed before the youngest vampire grew curious. “You never answered my question Tozouku. ‘What are you doing here?” Tozouku took a seat on the edge of the bed. “Considering you were pretty weak last night from lack of blood I figured I should check up on you first thing in the morning before I made breakfast. Are you feeling all right?” Haiake thought back to the previous evening and remembered how he had collapsed right after his mock mission and fallen asleep on Tozouku’s back. “Yes I think I am.” “You collapsed because you haven’t been feeding properly.” Tozouku pointed out. “Care to share your reason?” Haiake looked away for several moments before sighing. “You said our supply was low. I figured I should take only what I deserve. I haven’t done any of the missions so I consider the amount I should fed on to be lower then the others.” Tozouku looked down at Haiake for several moments before busting out laughing. After a few moments he recovered. “What could have possibly put an idea like that in your head? You deserve the same amount of blood as all of us. You don’t have to earn your keep Haiake, I told you that before.” Haiake sighed. “But I-“ “Haiake trust me, all I want is to protect other vampires like me.” Tozouku said. “I’m glad I found you and I don’t want you to think otherwise.” Haiake’s head perked up. “How did you know I-“ Tozouku put an arm around the younger vampire and pulled him close planting a gentle kiss on top of his head. “You’re really easy for me to read.” He stood up and stretched glancing over his shoulder. “Now do you think you’re up to going to school today then the recon mission with Kaisuke tonight?” Haiake stood up as well taking it slow. “Yeah as long as I feed a little I’m pretty sure I can pull through for the day.” He walked over to his wardrobe. “Where’s Miakatsu?” Tozouku was on his way out the door. “I’m not sure myself but if you two want to avoid confrontation I suggest you get dressed in a hurry. He still needs to get dressed himself.” He opened the door and looked behind him. “Don’t worry this is your last week of punishment. You can return to your own room on Friday.” Haiake nodded in response watching the older vampire leave before reaching into his wardrobe and pulling out his robe. He shut the door hard with a bang since the latch was being a pain again then headed to his own room to change for the day. Miakatsu watched from around the corner as Haiake left their temporary shared room. Once the coast was clear he headed into the room and shut it, locking it securely. “Finally I thought he would never leave.” Heading to his wardrobe the blonde vampire selected his clothing attire for the day and gathered the items before heading into the shower. Tozouku finished setting the table and went into the fridge to get their ‘beverage’ before heading up the stairs to check up on Miakatsu and Haiake. Stopping in front their door he knocked before entering. “Are you two ready yet?” Miakatsu looked up from his bed. His attire that day certainly suited his earlier mood, a pair of dark jeans and a crimson turtleneck shirt. “Oh Tozouku, is breakfast ready?” “Yes.” Tozouku answered. “I assume Haiake is still in his room?” Miakatsu shrugged as he leaned back against his bed allowing is head to land right smack on the pillow. “Beats me. I’m not that idiot’s babysitter so I’m not sure where he is.” Tozouku rolled his eyes in response. “Just get downstairs before the food gets cold. I made pancakes this time with plenty of strawberries and cream. Just the way you like them.” Miakatsu’s head shot up and a smile suddenly appeared on his face. “That’s what I’m talking about!” without warning he rushed out of the room and headed down the stairs taking them two at a time. Tozouku only smiled as he watched the younger vampire leave. “One down, one to go.” He left the room closing the door behind him and walked across the hall and two doors down. He knocked before slowly opening the door. “Haiake?” He was answered by the sound of the shower running from the bathroom. Tozouku walked over. “Haiake breakfast is ready. Feel free to come down and join us when you’re finished.” Haiake peaked his head out from behind the shower curtain his hair filled with suds. “Okay what did you make?” “Pancakes with strawberries and cream or syrup; your choice plus a glass of blood for the day.” Tozouku answered. “Be careful you’ll get soap in your eyes.” Haiake smiled before stepping back into the shower and underneath the running water. Shutting his eyes and allowing the water to cascade down his body, the young vampire felt the soap and suds wash off. “I’ll be done in a few minutes Tozouku. Can you make sure Miakatsu doesn’t take all the food and drink? I don’t trust him.” Tozouku leaned against the wall. “I’m guessing that’s never going to change.”
