International Women's Day, originally called International Working Women’s Day, is marked on March 8 every year. In different regions the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for women's economic, political and social achievements. Started as a Socialist political event, the holiday blended in the culture of many countries, primarily Eastern Europe, Russia, and the former Soviet bloc. In many regions, the day lost its political flavour, and became simply an occasion for men to express their love for women in a way somewhat similar to a mixture of Mother's Day and St Valentine's Day. In other regions, however, the original political and human rights theme designated by the United Nations runs strong, and political and social awareness of the struggles of women worldwide are brought out and examined in a hopeful manner. for whos intersted, History The first national Women's Day was observed on 28 February 1909 in the United States following a declaration by the Socialist Party of America. In August 1910, an International Women's Conference was organized to precede the general meeting of the Socialist Second International in Copenhagen. Inspired in part by the American socialists, German Socialist Luise Zietz proposed the establishment of an annual 'International Woman's Day' (singular) and was seconded by Clara Zetkin, although no date was specified at that conference. Delegates (100 women from 17 countries) agreed with the idea as a strategy to promote equal rights, including suffrage, for women. The following year, on 18 March, 1911, IWD was marked for the first time, by over a million people in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. In the Austro-Hungarian Empire alone, there were 300 demonstrations. In Vienna, women paraded on the Ringstrasse and carried banners honouring the martyrs of the Paris Commune. Women demanded that women be given the right to vote and to hold public office. They also protested against employment sex discrimination. Americans continued to celebrate National Women's Day on the last Sunday in February. In 1913 Russian women observed their first International Women's Day on the last Sunday in February (by Julian calendar then used in Russia). In 1917 demonstrations marking International Women's Day in St.Petersburg on the last Sunday in February (which fell on 8 March on the Gregorian calendar) initiated the February Revolution. Following the October Revolution, the Bolshevik Alexandra Kollontai persuaded Lenin to make it an official holiday in the Soviet Union, and it was established, but was a working day until 1965. On May 8, 1965 by the decree of the USSR Presidium of the Supreme Soviet International Women's Day was declared a non working day in the USSR "in commemoration of the outstanding merits of Soviet women in communistic construction, in the defense of their Fatherland during the Great Patriotic War, in their heroism and selflessness at the front and in the rear, and also marking the great contribution of women to strengthening friendship between peoples, and the struggle for peace. But still, women's day must be celebrated as are other holidays."[citation needed] From its official adoption in Russia following the Soviet Revolution in 1917 the holiday was predominantly celebrated in communist and socialist countries. It was celebrated by the communists in China from 1922, and by Spanish communists from 1936. After the founding of the People's Republic of China on October 1, 1949 the state council proclaimed on December 23 that March 8 would be made an official holiday with women in China given a half-day off. In the West, International Women's Day was first observed as a popular event after 1977 when the United Nations General Assembly invited member states to proclaim March 8 as the UN Day for Women's Rights and International Peace. Finally I say, Happy women day to all the lovely girls in the forum4 points

aaahh I just happened found a new BL movies (short) ... I'm not watching it yet, still downloading. But when I saw the trailer I thought it was a really good one. Title: Private Romeo Plot Summary : When eight cadets are left behind at an isolated military high school, the greatest romantic drama ever written seeps out of the classroom and permeates their lives. Incorporating the original text of 'Romeo and Juliet,' YouTube videos, and lip-synced Indie rock music, Private Romeo takes us to a mysterious and tender place that only Shakespeare could have inspired. Written by Anonymous Romeo and Juliet has never been more provocative than in this contemporary all-boy staging. Writer/director Alan Brown transfers the setting from fair Verona to a high school military campus where a small group of boys from rival schools act out the tragedy in real life. This bold adaptation eschews convention and challenges common perceptions of masculinity, gay youth and the military. Anchored by solid performances, the film balances the tough dialogue, tender romance and unique setting with an erotic rhythm and a few surprising twists. Written by Websurfer Country: USA Year: 2011 Genre: Drama Language: English Location: NYC (USA) Runtime: 98 min Subtitles: - Download Private Romeo Movie* Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 *Contains German subtitles* For download re-upload requests, post here so the staff notices them. KONY 2012 is a campaign and a film by Invisible Children which aims to make Joseph Kony famous, but not to celebrate him but to raise support for his arrest and set a precedent for international justice. Link to video. I watched this video a few days ago and I don't know about the rest of you, but this video broke my heart. I knew about the abductions and I am ashamed of my ignorance for not knowing this man's name who was the cause of it all. After watching this video, it has also inspired me to help make a difference in the world for the better so i decided to also share this video on here because EVERYONE should watch this. Everyone who cares about the world we live in.3 points

Indeed, kanji is an artform. I think a kanji can be very beautiful in itself and as you said, people do have different handwriting which makes it more personal, at least that is my opinion. Order of strokes is probably what is most important when it comes to learning kanji... Thank you for the intresting reading I'm sure there are people here who will learn something new with this post.2 points

Before any writing you need to know basic alphabet or structure of language you are try to learn. Korean(한글han-gul) has 14 consonants(자음ja-eum) and 10 vowels(모음mo-eum). First, let us know what 14 consonants are. ㄱ(기역gi-yeog) ㄴ(니은 ni-eun) ㄷ(디귿 di-geud) ㄹ(리을 li-eul) ㅁ(미음 mi-eum) ㅂ(비읍 bi-eub) ㅅ(시옷 si-od) end written sound is S but coming out sound is D. ㅇ(이응 i-eung) ㅈ(지읒 ji-eud) end written sound is J but coming out sound is D ㅊ(치읓 chi-eud) end written sound is CH but coming out sound is D. ㅋ(키읔 ki-eug) end written sound is K but coming out sound is G. ㅌ(티읕 ti-eud) end written sound is T but coming out sound is D. ㅍ(피읖 pi-eub) end written sound is P but coming out sound is B. ㅎ(히잏 hi-eud) end written sound is H but coming out sound is D. With this there are double up one… for sound just ad Ssang in front. ㄲ(쌍기역 Ssang-gi-yeog) ㄸ(쌍디귿 Ssang-di-geud) ㅃ(쌍비읍 Ssang-bi-eub) ㅆ(쌍시옷 Ssang-si-od) ㅉ(쌍지읒 Ssang-ji-eud) And there is some consonants go together. This is most used in under. This one I will give you few examples. ㄳ – 삯(Saks) – wages ㄵ – 앉아(Anja) – Sit down ㄶ – 많이(Manhi) – a lot ㄻ – 닮았다 (Dalmassda) – looks like it ㄾ – 핥다(Haltda) - lick ㅄ – 밥값 (Babgabs) – meal price or money for meal But, same as English with out vowels consonants doesn’t make any words. So now let learn about 10 vowels. ㅏ(a) ㅑ(ya) ㅓ(eo) ㅕ(yeo) ㅗ(o) ㅛ(yo) ㅜ(woo / u) ㅠ(yoo / yu) ㅡ(eu) ㅣ(i) This vowels also mix together to work. ㅐ(ae) ㅒ(yae) ㅔ(e) ㅖ(ye) ㅘ(wa) ㅙ(wae) ㅚ(oe) ㅝ(wo) ㅞ(we) ㅟ(wi) ㅢ(ui) These are the most basic you need to know before structuring into word... Some people said Korean is most scientific language in the world. The building structure of Korean isn’t easy, but long as you know how to put consonants and vowels together it will be easy to put together. And the sound of the word will not change much at all... So what you write is what you get. So let built up some word. First, let use first consonant and vowel together. 가(ga) – Go! Even just one consonant and one vowel together made into the word. There are many other... Like 나(na) – I or Me, 다(da) – Everything, 라(la) – sound La, 마(ma) – it’s some kind of root veggie, 바(ba) – Bar, 사(sa) – Four, 아(a) – Ah, 자(ja) – Ruler, Go to sleep! 차(cha) – Car, 파(pa) – Dig or sound Fa, 하(ha) – laugh sound Ha Like this... even one work also could have many meaning. Also, you could put other consonant under this single word. 각(gak) – angle or each I will stop here for today. I don’t want you to over work on from first lesson. ^^ Next lesson will be making word with ㄱ as first letter... If you have any question on lesson or any word you want to know or make just ask. And for the lesson... because of my health I only can do one or two for a week or even less... --;; Sorry about that but, I will answer any question with or with out lesson soon as I can... Also, if you have any request on lesson let me know... I will try to do that also... So please remember this is only me doing it... you can also work along with me... ^^1 point

Zero nodded at Zapir politely, and flashed a quick smile, if it even could be called a smile. Zero wasn't smiling too much, ever. Actually there was no-one who could say they had seen him smile, or laugh, except for Yuki... And Yuki wasn't his anymore. Kaname had taken his best friend away from him. He couldn't reach Yuki anymore, and he didn't even want to anymore. He was going to survive on his on now. He wasn't going to rely on anyone ever again. That would just hurt, and he didn't want to get hurt. `How am I doing?... Bored to death, wanting to kill someone...´ "Not too happy." He answered, lightening his thoughts a bit. He brushed his silver hair once, running his fingers trough it, and ruffling it soon after that. He didn't feel too good about the party. He had an odd feeling that something was going to happen. Even though Zapir was half vampire, Zero still coulnd't hate him. Zapir had always been so honest and kind towards Zero, that Zero couldn't bring himself to hate the guy. Even though he didn't want to admit it, he had his soft side too, and his soft side actually thought about Zapir as a friend. Soon a girl appeared in front of them, and Zero blinked his eyes. He was sure that he knew this girl from somewhere. He had seen her before... "Victoria!" Zero managed to mutter from between his lips, being utterly confused. He hadn't seen this girl in a long time either, and he was amazed to see how much she had grown. Her face had gotten more beautiful, and his body was more woman-like. Zero had to blink a few times more just to make sure that it really was her.1 point

@YLover... first you have to know what you call husband or wife... For telling other... wife-아내(A-nae), husband-남편(Nam-pyeon) But, calling each other is most common is 여보(Yeo-bo)... If you are newly... call 자기(Ja-gi)... But now day most of them just go for nickname... Like honey, sweety or just name of person... So now for conversation part... For husband who come home... "다녀왔어!"(Da-nyeo-What-eo!) - this is for newly. Saying I am home... Most older people go... "나 왔소!"(Na What-so!)... Newly wife should said... "잘 갔다왔어!(Jar gat-da-what-seo!)" or "수고했어!(Soo-go-haet-a!)" First one is "Welcome back!" and next one is "Good work!" For the older wife said... "잘 다녀오셨어요!(Jar Da-nyeo-o-syeot-seo-yo!)" or "수고하셨습니다!(Soo-go-ha-syeot-seub-ni-da!)" If you want to add husband and wife in the conversation... Just put 자기 or 여보 in front of all the conversation. "자기, 다녀왔어!"(Ja-gi, da-nyeo-what-seo!) "여보, 수고하셨습니다!"(Yeo-bo, soo-go-ha-syeot-seub-ni-da!) I hope this help little... But, best will be if you give me what you really want to said... Then, I can translate into Korean... ^^1 point
