Hi everyone! My name is Viktor and I'm new here! Actually, I'm very happy to find this forum! I hope to make many friends here! I'm a guy, originally from some country in Europe, in my 20s. We have purchased the new version of the chat system. The version is brand new, we've noticed a few bugs and contacted the software tech team to fix them asap. The new version has a new layout, new emojis, embedded gif support, desktop notification (you need to allow notifications from YaoiOtaku if you receive a message from your browser in order for that to work), and plenty of bug fixes and changes for the mobile version. Note: You can search for the gifs you want added if you click on the blank space between the image and the emoji icons at the bottom of the chat box. It will open a new popup which has a Search box in the upper part, where you can type your search. Once a few gifs are loaded, you might need to hover with the mouse cursor outside the chat box, without clicking, for more gifs to load. PS: If you notice any bugs as well, please send me a PM so I can check if we've already informed the developers about that specific issue, and if we haven't, to contact them and report the problem.

Hello! We have a chat update scheduled in about 1-2 hours. The new chat will bring embedded gifs support, new design for both desktop and mobile, new emoticons, a lot of changes for the mobile version like new message notification, typing notification, support for sending pictures, etc. A full list with the updates and a short guide will be posted after the new chat is up and running. The current chat bar will be closed meanwhile.

Today we have bought the upgrade to the latest chat version of Arrowchat (1.8.42), as several members complained their messages weren't being sent on the previous version (1.8.3). This new version comes with a few bug fixes (like a white page being displayed on mobiles when the back button was hit), and with new features. Members can now download the files they share/receive. Mobile members have now the option to turn off the chat as well. Please let us know if you encounter any bugs so that we can report to the developers. YO Staff

YO has been having several problems in the last 2 weeks, first the login/refreshing problem, then the current slow loading and the inability to upload images (be it as signature, avatars, in album, in groups). As you could see, we had to remove the shoutbox (chat) and other PHP applications which were causing an even heavier loading. We worked on fixing those issues, but we came to the conclusion that we have to move to another server. We already bought a new server (for the first month) and now we are working on configuring and securing it (thanks to Josh) so we can move the site there. Hopefully the next week we'll manage to complete the transfer. UPDATE: Because we want to secure the new server very well (due to the previous attacks we had) and set up a monitoring for us to analyze the logs so we can collect detailed information in case of a possible future attack attempt, the migration to the new server will take longer than we anticipated. There are zillion things to do. Until now everything went smoothly and a big part of the server is already secured. I know it's annoying, the way the forum is working now, but better to do the things good than rush them and face problems later on. Anyway, if everything goes well, we'll finish the migration until the end of the month. After migration we'll add the shoutbox (chat) again and other PHP applications that were removed due to the slow loading and also we'll launch the new manga reader on which we've been working for 3 months already. I've been playing for very long time Yaoi Role play... and most of the time I was spending in two main websites my time one of them is Chatango... where I was role playing before... but right now I am concentrate over the website here... that beside but I would really love... if the team of YO creates a chat group in chatango... where we can all meet and enjoy to each other... chatango have the opportunity for HTML code and this chat can be add to the forum and to the website part it would be really good to meet most of us... for real... and share some other conversation together, in real time when we are all online... beside that you can create another chat room in chatango where it will be concentrate over the role play... and where most of the role players can RP together and get to know each other better but of course this is just suggestion so everything depends from YO Team and their Administrator...
