Hi, everyone. I'm Irin. Obviously, I'm new here. Like within the first couple of hours, at most. Anyway, I am a huge fan of yaoi manga and BL movies. I'm actually looking for good quality BL movies as I type it. In regards to comics involving BL, I read a lot of different ones. I loved Blood Bank - absolutely fantastic. I'm also reading "Treat Me Gently, Please." I'm 20, so I'm open to RP as well and hope to get started on the RP board once I have more developed characters. However, I won't RP anything sexual if you're under 18, for reasons I'd imagine are obvious. I am hoping to work on my newest BL piece of fiction, involving my character "Mahiro" but I still have to design the other characters. It'll probably be a collection of short stories due to the nature of the world (you can also pm me for more information. I may create a group RP for it as well once I've been here longer and know I will be able to stay active for sure) Um... I guess if you have any questions, definitely ask? I know a lot of people sometimes say I'm scary, but I swear I'm friendly to most people. はじめまして。 I'm EmbracingAnime. You can call me Embracing, Anime, Emby, or E_A as well. Although I'm new here, I'm not a newcomer to the fangasmic world of yaoi. Some yaoi mangas I like are Hybrid Child, Lovers Doll, and Sorenari ni Shinken nandesu. Being an English major, I'm very picky with stories. I like it, when authors/artists can make me emotional. I also have high standards for character development and plot. Along with my yaoi, I also like supernatural/fantasy themes, like Momoiro Tengu, Konya mo Nemurenai, and Mauri to Ryuu. I'm beginning to like older uke and younger seme pairings too. I'm a big fan of Mishima-sensei's work. I guess my favorite yaoi anime is Junjou Romantica; However, there aren't that many to choose from. We need more yaoi anime! One airing every season would be a dream. I suppose I'll just have to bear with fanservice and imagine pairings between Kuroshitsuji and Free! characters. Hmm~ I think that should do it for a disorganized introduction. Ah, I rp too. I'm Steamprincess! I should have introduced myself a while ago, but never got around to do it, so I'll do it now that I do have time, and hope you won't mind me rambling :hamtaro-005 (5): Anyways. I got into BL when I was around 10, as I had read a lot about this gay man named Jan Thomas and thought about how normal "that stuff" is. I had been writing stories for at least two years then, but never anything gay. After that I got more OC-pairings, the oldest probably being with the Angel of Death. I started focusing a lot on homosexual relationships, both drawing and writing (both which have permanently marked both my sisters), and I'm quite content with everything I have done this far, as practicing makes masters. The funny thing is, I didn't discover Anime/Manga before I was nearly 16, then with Hetalia, but after I did, I got straight into Shounen-Ai and Yaoi. I think it was because I already was very open minded, and because it was already intriguing me. I an that kind of "law-breaker" who read R-18 Mangas before I was allowedrabbit4 Except for Yaoi, I like Heavy Metal (Nightwish, COBHC, DragonForce and others), JRR Tolkien and other Fantasy literature. I also like writing and drawing.
