Yuhara Takeshi stood at his locker, staring at the cursed combination lock as if it were a demonic object. "C'mon, Takeshi, remember..." he mumbled to himself. He had long since been known to forget things like this, and asked his teacher on a near-daily basis for his combination. He tried desperately to remember what it was, racking his brain. Suddenly, a tap on his shoulder caused him to look to his right. “Oh, hey, Mikami.” His close friend stood next to him with a smirk. “You forgot it again, didn’t you.” It was a statement, not a question. He already knew, of course. Takeshi hung his head. Mikami laughed. “Takeshi, you really need to write it down.” He nudged Takeshi out of the way, quickly entering the combination and opening the locker. “Thanks,” Takeshi said with a smile. Mikami shook his head, waiting for Takeshi to grab his books. He quickly did so, and closed the door, starting down the hall toward his next class: gym. In comparison with Mikami, Takeshi was rather short, at five feet and four inches. He weighed a meager hundred pounds, but that didn’t mean he weak or easy to beat; you’d have to catch him first. Of course, this meant that he was fairly popular in gym class. There was only one person that didn’t like him, and he preferred not to mention him so early in the day. Besides, gym was a place to forget such people, and that was what Takeshi planned to do.
