Hello!! Interested in a role-play? Have a favourite plot? Need another partner? Then I am your baka! While I haven't had the opportunity to start any role-plays here, I have been rping off and on since 2009. And after about a year and a half of hiatus form role-playing, I've returned to the internet with renewed fervor and eager to begin rping again. Should anything tickle your interest, please PM me; I'd like to keep this thread all tidy and organized. Besides, the messaging system lets me know when I have a new message, so I can never forget to read/reply to a pm. Before I can get to the fun part, there is a rule section that you should be aware of before sending me that pm. Bummer, I know. But I think some ground rules are necessary. On the off chance that my rules do not completely terrify you and you still might possibly want to rp, please send me a reply with the title of the rp idea/fandom pairing that you're interested in. If you have an original idea that you have and might want to try it out with me, feel free to drop me a pm and let the discussion ensue. Please, do not take any offense if I choose not to role-play with you; either I have too much on my role-playing plate, which is never the case but could (one day) happen, or (and most likely) I am too busy IRL to take on any more, while struggling to keep the ones I have. Again, please read the list below before you consider to pm me. I am not overly critical or unrealistically picky, but there could always be the chance that we aren't compatible partners. There is nothing wrong with that, but you should be aware of my expectations before beginning a role-play, then dropping the role-play down the line due to unwavering differences. I'm pretty lax about role-plays, except for what is listed below.

1. If you happen to get a pm from me asking about a particular role-play and should you accept me as a partner, you can expect a follow up message where I ask a lot of questions and throw out ideas and scenarios for the rp. I have a hard time roleplaying without any basic guideline for a plot no matter how simple or intricate is may be. Too many times, I've been in a situation where the rp didn't progress; we were stuck and it forced me to drop the rp. No amount of planning is set in stone, I am always up to changing things, throwing in twists and asking for ideas/advice, but I always need something to keep us moving forward. 2. There are very few things that I just will not do when it comes to roleplaying and that is the basics such as Furries, gore/vore, bathroom habits in sex, the usual stuff (with exceptions of the furries, that's just me) that most players don't want to see. I have yet to find anything that I'd do even if I was uncomfortable, but should I discover it, I will inform you whether I'm alright with it or not. The only thing that comes to mind is Mpreg, only a really great plot can convince me to do it and enjoy it. Though, when it comes to kinks that I accept or absolutely cannot live without, I have more of those than I've got digits to count on. All I ask is that my partners is as open-minded as you can possibly be. Unless there is a certain thing you are absolutely, 100% against (like I am with flurries) be it something sexual or characteristic traits- I will not pressure you; however, if there is nothing indicating that you are heavily against something, especially when it comes to character traits, please do not shut it down without giving it some thought. Rest assured that I ask about my potential partners kinks and anything they are not comfortable with, I do not want to do anything that someone doesn't want, especially by accident. However, I have certain things that are on my list that I consider a 'must have', meaning it is always, in some way, involved in my role-play; if there is something that you might not be sure of, please discuss it with me. I do not want to thoroughly make a character, which does take time and considerable thought on my part, only to have my partner nit-pick it until it is no longer something I desire to play. All I ask, give it a chance. 3. I love drama. I love angst. I love conflict. I love tension. I love controversy. I love disabilities and imperfections. I love plot and I love climax (also as a sexual reference). Porn is great and all, but I need plot for sustenance. The probabilities of me losing interest in an rp that is solely porn and virtually no plot is fairly high. That being said, I cannot stomach gushy, mushy romance where the guy gets the guy and they live happily ever after with no struggles along the way. Snoresville. Let's keep it interesting. I like the love aspect of yaoi, but I love the angst in there too. Its all about the story, baby. 4. There are great writers out there and there are okay ones. No matter where you stand in the spectrum, no one is perfect- not even I. I am not a grammar Nazi, nor am I an English major so no matter how many times I reread or edit a post, there is always going to be a mistake. Its inevitable. If I'm interested in your writing style, I may ask for some advice about what I can improve on in my writings. As long as it is constructive criticism, I will accept it greatly and am willing to correct anything that is in blatant need of correcting. This can also work vice versa, if you are in need of some advice about your own posts, I will gladly share with you my limited knowledge. Other than that, please relax; I do not judge unless you explicitly ask for some constructive criticism. 5. When it comes to it, most people prefer quality over quantity about their posts; and while that is true for my partners, I try to achieve both. I am constantly trying to post longer all the while improving my skills in roleplaying. 6. No one-liners, please! I try to put an effort into what I write, I only expect the same from my partners. If your best is a paragraph or two, that's great. As long as it is something I can work with, I'll be happy. I get that we all get writer's block from time to time, but I would rather not get a post than receive a one-liner. If I get a one-liner, I think my brain will hemorrhage. 7. And finally, I appreciate it when my partners puts in the same amount of effort into the role-play that I do. Too many times have I experienced a situation where the plot and even the sex scene was all initiated and relied heavily on me. I refuse to do everything, I don't mind initiating things, be it a plot turn or some romance, but if I have to do everything, it will be a short role-play. And I can promise you the same thing from me, I will always try to do more than simply react. Its no fun for anyone if its stuck on one person.

Now that you have an idea of what you can expect from me, here is a short list of what I expect from you, my lovely, lovely role-play partner. Expectation: Literacy level: Semi-literate, literate, or above is fine with me. Just no one-liners, please. Average post length: I'll accept anything, other than one-liners, as long as it is something I can work with. Mirroring post lengths is love, just sayin'. Posting frequency: With my own chaotic posting frequency, I couldn't dare give anyone a timeline. I'm patient, so post whenever. Contact/Availability: Please PM me! For anything! PM me for role-play ideas, for plot ideas about our role-plays, anything about our role-plays, lemme know! Other: Be open to my dumb ideas, turn 'em down if you don't like 'em. Help me help you shape our role-play into something we both are excited about writing.

I've been trying to install some of these BL Visual Novel games I've heard about for a while now. First I wanted to try Togainu no Chi (I'd follow all of the instructions given on the guide; have Japanese language, use DAEMON Tools, etc.--and then when I try starting it up, the image of the blond guy pops up and then...nothing.) -_- Then I try STEAL!; it gets to the "Only in Japan" screen and just quits, and then after trying some Region Crack patch-thingy, it just does nothing. Now I'm trying out Kichiku Megane, and for a few minutes, this one actually works; it's all in Japanese, aside from the menu, but I'd take anything by this point. Then I get to the part where the stranger hands you the glasses and you put them on. After your character faints (I'm assuming anyway), suddenly a message pops up saying the RealLive thing has stopped working and it just refuses to let me continue where I left off. Can ANYONE help me figure out just is going on? Am I installing these BL games correctly, but am I just plagued with B(ad)L(uck)?

Can we change the Drama Talk thread to Live Action instead?
yojichan posted a topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Hiyee! I've been going through the Drama Talk and I have noticed various topics on it that is not just focused on drama series but BL movies, anime adaptations, and even GVs as well. I was wondering if it's okay to change the title to Live Action that way it encompasses all these topics. thanks so much.
