Game Intro:

 

"In a world, where everything is lost, four people, fighting for their lives and their friends, trying to reach to the top level of the game and beat down the last boss. They cry out for their nakama (friends) to watch their back. They smile and laugh with the virtual friends, but how virtual they was for real... it doesn't matter the appearance of your character if your heart is in golden flame."

 

Cold'Flame Ground was a new game which was developed in 2088 year when the technology over the games have improved to a very high level. There is now opportunity to use a helmet which allows you to enter directly into the world and play just with your mind... you don't feel much pain, you can die... and feel it like it was for real. Are you ready to enter in a world where everything is lost?

 

Or at least this was, what is was telling the article for this game, but the truth about it... was way way more terrifying. Once you enter in this game there is no way out, and there is no chance for them to log out of the game, no one expected this. That the creator of this game was actually a crazy person with the desire to put in prison the kid's minds... but he never even for a moment consider that there is actually and players who might get to the top level. Could be we the one who will get to there, or we will die trying so?

 

Of course there was and something else which was interesting... if you die in the game, you never woke up in the real world... or resurrect again. Once dead equals to your brain being fried up, in the real world.

Many people have noticed that but yet no one of them have ever felt sorry for him, he have always been used, so he decide lately to give up on parties and group playing. But if he is in a group, he would gladly give his HP for his party mates to protect them or something like that.

Yuki had never been social in his entire life, he'd never cared about what others thought of him. He's mostly cold and unfeeling towards almost all things about life, but one thing that he enjoyed was gaming. Thus, he found this game and immediately fell in love with it. Wealthy enough to not need to work for the rest of his life, he spends most of his time gaming if not sleeping.

In previous games, Yuki had always watched the backs of his parties. From afar he had also given indispensable information to his leaders and other members, like where heavy hitters were or the locations of enemy marksman. Shi or known as Shinobu Imai of the sales

department was an astounding man who played the game on a whim.

Though he had the most "badass" character in the game,

but in person, he was just a simple man.

He works at day and plays the game at night.

Shinobu, prefer his character to be mysterious though his true personality

often appears in the scene, albeit to its cold appearance.

The first post was exception to can I show you how the post should be and now is Gin turn.

It's passed already few weeks since over a 6000 players were trapped inside a new game which just start, many of the users didn't knew that they was signing up their death's wishes, and from over 6000 players there was now left around 1000-2000 players, where in between them there was one specific person.

 

His name was Asakura Yo, but many people was calling him a Beater (A solo player who have high, rare equipment skills, and profession experience), he didn't very much numbered the days in which he was trapped but he could say that there have been 2 weeks or so.. and he was just on the second floor... most of the people here didn't found the big boss yet... however this didn't meant that he wasn't prepared to face him alone.

 

"Man I am so hungry... and I need to safe my money for my house... and I can't really buy herbs and sauces to cook something good... shame on me... I need to go to eat from the town again this rusty food..." he would mumble to himself as he had his body spread down over the green grass.. in the middle of a battlefield but seems like the monsters didn't attacked him because he was too high level for them, even the monsters have made him small spot to rest freely.

 

"And I haven't seen much players in those forgotten from god levels... many of the players already moved to the upper floor where they can continue leveling up, he is peaceful and relaxative." he would mumble to himself looking around the hills and the places, he couldn't hear or sense anyone or anything near by, except the monster npc's which he was ignoring for the time being.

Shi was on his way to the hunting grounds, he was looting.

He was not good with heavy armors attached to his whole body, for him it's bothersome.

SO he just decided to loot and search for stuffs that can be sold for a higher price.

Killing the low level monsters was his way to kill time,

he had finished all the individual quests he had for his level.

All that's left was the party quest, though he can kill

boss level monsters easily, he wanted to search for another person.

 

"Blah! This game is boring as hell!!"

 

Slashing the puny monsters blocking his pathway.

The ground was so huge that even co-players were not at seen at the vicinity

Walking further, he saw someone laying on the ground--nestling or whatnot.

 

Approaching the other, he asked.

 

"Want to party??"

 

Shi never cared if it's a high or low level player as long

as he can achieve a party experience then he's all set.

Waiting for the other to reply, he sat on the ground--trying to relax.

But there's no other choice!

If I couldn't get my release, I couldn't concentrate on fighting.

Yu was bored. He'd been in this game since its launch, he'd finished all solo quests, he'd accumulated enough cash to not worry about starving, and he'd also collected great weapons and armors.

He looked around, from his high vantage point, and spotted some low level monsters to shoot just for sport. They's be able to replenish their numbers in an instant anyways.

 

"Okay..." He murmured to himself as he aimed a couple of hundred meters away. "One hit in rapid succession.."

 

Click, click, click, click....

The bullets shot straight, true to its mark, making no sound but the cry of fallen monsters. Then, he noticed it.

The last two figure in the distance weren't monsters at all. They were players! And Yu was so tempted to pull his trigger, just to see the field be void of creatures. Sighing, he looked around for Plague and saw him circling those two players. Yu decided to go and get Plague himself.

Yo was disturbed in his sleep when he heard someone getting close, which will cause him to stand up and hold one of his guns which appeared in his hand against the other male. There was so many reports which was irritating that there is guys which have died till they was a sleeping because someone else activate their duel acceptance and this way the other player kills the other till he was still a sleep, if you ask Asakura for that, he would probably be frustrated and agree that this is inconvenient there was still players who wasn't understanding in what situation they were and there was another group which want to get out of this game as soon as it was possible by dying without even for moment think that they actually die for real in real world.

 

"Who the heck are you, temme..." he would say to the other, the dual pistol user, knew many languages and one of his main languages was Japanese so sometimes he was mixing his English sentences with Japanese words like right now... temme (bastard).

 

When he heard the other explanation asking for help he would just raise his eyebrow "I am solo player, I don't do group stuffs... plus I don't have trust in the people here." he would say simply and take down his gun looking at the other, he would sense like many of the monsters around him was killed which will cause him to look around.

 

'Could that be, a bow user? When did became here so populated.' he would think to himself finding himself as a easy target, he was still searching for the potential shouter with a bow weapon.

Shi only stared at the other, he was a hopeless case. A player that's hard to deal with, though he really wanted to party and stuff. Yet, he had another chance, there's still a player who's hunting from a tall place. Then again, he invited the player with a good shooting range.

 

"Hey!!! Over there? You want to party??" he shouted to the other who killed the monsters.

 

Flailing both his hands, he was desperate to search for a teammate.

 

 

"Fine, if you won't then I won't force you," looking back to the other.

 

Shi was leaving the other who was trying to be so cold and hesitant towards his favor.

He moved a little further and sat back again, getting some chunk of meat inside his pocket.

He dropped his weapons and ate--he was just eating at the monster ground.

Annoyed by the ugly looks of the creatures, he bashed them up with one single blow.

Shi was fast---- picking up the valuables appearing after the monsters were killed.

 

"Hmm this should be enough," he said to himself.

 

He needed some materials to be crafted as a new sword to sell later on.

Licking the excess grease from the meat, he hoisted upwards and started to pick the materials.

After the action he peeked outside the cave he's using for shelter.

He heard gunshots from not so far away.

Intrigued by the gunshots he heard, he silently walk outside the cave and into a plain grassland.

 

He was like a trained assassin, making no sound, and attacking when its advantageous for him.

NOBODY could even detect where he is.

Even those with highly sensitive senses couldn't do it.

Unless he would be the one to approach the other or his pheromones could be detected.

Although he could suppress his aura, his pheromones are gushing out of his system.

 

From afar he could already see almost everything on that plain

From a far distance he could spot several monsters with low level.

Killing them would be such a waste of energy.

About midway from where he is observing there were a couple of players,

one is at a high area, while the other is below...eating.

 

They look interesting to me.

Plus the guy with the sword looks hot.

 

Still hoping to find his destined person, he would want to party with anybody.

Yu walked slowly, wondering if joining a party with these people would be a good idea.

He raised his hand and whistled, Plague immediately landing on him.

He stared down the eating guy as he reloaded his rifle.

 

"Sure, why not.." He stated, stroking Plague's feathers.

Yu had decided that, given the opportunity, he may as well get some of his party related quests. Although, he had no idea if this guy could handle most of the high-level monsters that he hunted from time to time.

 

Yu was waiting for the guy's reply when he smelled it. He was a hunter after all, trained to decipher ALL kinds of sounds, movements and smell. The aroma was familiar and a little bit distracting.

Pheromones. It figures. He thought to himself, covering his nose.

 

"Plague," Yu stated, looking at his raven. "Recon. Look for THAT guy."

Then, He looked down the eating guy, "So, how about that party?"

Yo could sense the smell of pheromones, it was near, as to his side one big heavy wolf would start appear, it was Yo personal pet.

 

I wonder who is that guy, I can't sense him neither I can feel him around.

 

He would think to himself looking at his wolf as he would nod and wolf would nod too rushing forward and following the smell, after awhile he would start walk towards the two people which were just near by.

 

"Owii you two, come with me. You want party right? I will party with you... but if I get betrayed even a bit by the two of you... I will personally cut off your heads." he would say with harsh and loud intense voice, move his finger in front him as a menu with the options will show up... he would click on "Players near by" then on "This Area" and then on their names sending them invitations, in the moment when they invitations was sent they will appear in front their characters as a window, giving them the opportunety to accept or decline the invitations 'Player Asakura Yo, would like to invite you into a party group, do you:' and the choices was given, as Yo would continue forward after his wolf.

 

After awhile his wolf would ye for his master to approach him, instantly in front Yo's character would show up another window with a map and 4 red points, 3 of them was the new players which just joined him into a party and the third one was himself, the fourth one was his wolf, there was 5th one which was shown as red.

 

"What is that?" he would ask his new team mates showing on the map the new red point, it seems probably it was someone else's pet or something from someone, the wolf would ye once more as another yellow point would show on the map. Yo eyes would widen up.

 

There is someone else who is so close to me and I didn't sense him... that something new, he might have a unique skill or just pretty high skills points.

 

He would think to himself and start walk towards his wolf location.

Standing around six flat, he was almost like a huge tree among the small plants.

Sighing, he summoned his liger--Hisashi. It has a white cozy fur, an albino of its kind.

As he was patting the liger's head, he's preparing for them to go.

Looking at the gun user, he smirked again.

 

--hmmm not bad, his exp's high and skill's good.... this will be an easy catch.

 

As he continued to stare at the user.

 

"I'm afraid I have not introduced myself yet. Zup, I'm Shi-- a peasant of a blade user."

 

He nod as a remark, Japanese people rarely shake their hands to other when greeting, so, Shi's gesture was perfectly fine.

 

Hearing Yo's cocky remarks, Shi on the other hand bowed gallantly.

 

"Whatever the master wishes....." he said sarcastically, grinning at the corner of his mouth.

 

Standing to where he was rooted, he noticed.

"Maybe not!!!!!!" he exclaimed the thought and rode at Hisashi . The liger dashed towards the hidden cave over the trees.

I've just heard the blade user is looking for a party member.

He stepped out in the open extending both of his arms in a welcoming manner.

Then bows gallantly like a high class host should.

He raised his head with a snicker on his face.

Yu's eyebrows twitched at the overly cheerful greeting from a bow man.

He sighed. It looked as if he had gotten himself tangled with these people.

The blade user was unflinchingly cold, but Yu knew the potential that lied beneath the rough exterior. The gunner was aloof and probably too trusting. And the bowman was a complete enigma to him. The guy looked overly cheerful, but Yu sensed a fiery personality behind that veneer of calm.

 

He looked towards the gunner, silently regarding him.

"You may call me Yu," He stated flatly as if he couldn't be bothered by his reply or reaction.

 

He looked out into the horizon and spotted Plague. It seemed that the raven was interested in something in the far distance. He ignored him as he looked at their party leader.

 

"Any specific idea in mind?" Yu asked, not really paying any attention at the guy. He whistled and waited for Plague to arrive, but he never did. Yu frowned, Plague always, ALWAYS, answered his calls.

 

He adjusted his scope and looked at the Thing that Plague was circling. He smirked, his canines showing through his glee. 750 meters away from them was an Area Boss. Good monster for looting.

 

"Wanna fight an Area Boss?" He asked while pointing at a specific dot in the distance.

After the new party approach the sexual person, Yo would just raise his eyebrow "Tsk.." he would let out annoyed noise in between his lips, as he would raise his hand and his wolf will approach him and wrap his tail around his master, the guy would took out one of his gun and raise a bit up his cowboy hat looking at the attractive guy.

 

Man he really is attractive, but doing this in here, he is so shameless.

 

He would think to himself as smirk would appear on his lips "Owii sexy pants..." he would say pointing at the bow user with his gun "Do you know how much I hate to be watched secretly, like someones is stalking me..." he would say narrowing his eyebrows a bit towards the other.

 

"Well that aside, you have pretty good stealth skills if I couldn't sense you with my almost maximized skills, but your pheromones spreading through the whole ground... you need to be more careful with your sexual eruptions..." he would say smirking a bit more, as then he would hear one of his other party members, it was the one with the big gun... the Rifle user...

 

"He is easy boss... I have every single drop of it, which I needed, but I will help you out, newbies..." he would say with a little harsh voice as he then would look back at the hot male which was standing just on few steps away from him, he would sigh and roll his eyes, raising one of his fingers as the menu will appear once more, 'Near by players' -> 'David Smith' -> 'Invite', soon after he clicked on the last option a menu would show up shortly after in front the bow user asking him if he would like to join Yo's group.

 

"I guess you need this boss too, to win this game the only way to reach up the top levels is playing as a team and as one... and as all of you know... this game is deadly... you can't log out, or if you get yourself killed you die for real and in the real world... and I really don't want to die." he would say raising a bit his voice at the last few words.

All of them were fussing over this new recruit, Shi just leaned on the nearest tree---looking at them all entertaining at him.

He felt that no words were needed to convey his curiosity with the other.

The blade user just stared at the guy using the bows---from head to toe, as usual.

He likes to observe people...within the calm shadows.

 

Hmmmm--- high stats.... he yawned and ruffled Hisashi's fur.

 

The two still welcomed the guest lively.

Done with the party approval he left the area, and focused on this new area boss Yu was referring to.

 

Shi did not wait for his other party members, he started right off the bat

just a few moments the party was created.

Swinging his thin and long katana simultaneously , he damaged the boss effortlessly.

He jumped ten steps away from the huge monster, he almost forgot to work with his team.

He wanted to equalize the distribution of EXP's but he

was so engrossed with battling with the monster that he forgot to share it with his teammates.

Shi was so used to fighting boss monsters---all alone.

 

The monster grieved in pain, his moan echoed at the entire area.

Shi, on the other hand, sat again in front of the grieving boss, waiting for the other's to finish them off.

Using his fast reflexes he moved to somewhere near the area boss.

To the naked eye it seemed he just disappeared from one place to another.

But the expression on his company's face after he moved says that he's not just your average player.

 

He appeared in a location very advantageous to a bow user.

Using his special arrow equipped with the element of fire,

he aimed at its weakest spot -- its a dent right behind its head--

and FIRED.

"Oops. Now I've really done it!

I was just intending to weaken it, but the blade user almost killed it already.

Besides I'm not the type to hold back whenever there is an enemy.

He defeated the enemy before the others even got the chance to arm themselves.

He went down the hill and picked the loot left by the monster.

"Since I was the one who finished it, I'll be taking these."

 

He shouted at the others who were left from a distance, mocking them.

"You know, you really need to be sharp at a time like this, no time for chit-chatting.

Unless you really wanted to get killed."

Yu smirked, watching the entire battle in calm amusement.

Two hits. I wonder how'd they fare against the Juggernauts. He thought to himself, watching the bow user with startling intensity that surprised even himself.

 

Yu shook his head. All of them were not team players and that worried him.

He didn't trust them and he knew that they didn't trust him. It was just something you can't give so easily in a game like this. At least all of us have the skills to survive. We just need to work together, if that's even possible.

 

He looked as the bowman started looting, wondering what in the world could he use such low level equipments. He could sell them. Yu thought absently to himself, Plague landing softly on his shoulder. But as good as his skills, the guy just reeks of pheromones. That would be problematic if we go to the more aggressive monster areas. He frowned. Then the answer hit him like a bullet speeding at 10 knots a minute. He could make a Pheromone aroma dampener potion, a formula that was extremely rare and was almost unheard of to most players. But he had one problem. The ingredients were hard as hell to obtain and to add injury to insult, they were rare as could be.

 

"Fire Lotus dew, Manticore heart, Tiamat's blood," Yu mumbled to himself. "And the ingredient that guy would like to have the smell." He nodded to himself. "I know I still have Manticore's heart in my stash. I've used all of Tiamat's blood from the last experiment," Yu growled, he hated failure and his last experiment was just so. Total and absolute failure. "Fire Lotus dew, now that's a problem..."

 

The Fire Lotus dew was a rare ingredient that could only be found on most of the game's marshy areas. Looking for it was not the problem though. It was the monsters. Some of them were pitiful levels compared to him and his current companions, but the heart of the problem was, they were high in numbers, higher even than the average necessity in a given area. And they were extremely aggressive even to high level players.

 

If they agree, we'd really need to be a team. And think of all the gold and loot that would give us. Supposing that we survive anyways. Yu smirked and with that in mind, he approached the very first teammates that he had.

"That enough you two! This is team work, I suggest you to learn that as fast as you can or I will leave you solo as you were before." Yo would say a little more harsher then usual, he really hate players who do and take everything solo, this was really getting on his nerves, yes this boss was easy but if they get to the higher level, they will be dead before they even scratch the boss.

 

"Smith, this loot is for everyone not just for you, so share it! I don't need anything but the others might need something, we didn't party just for you to get the loot." Yo was very irritated by the way the other took the drop, as he would look aside as his wolf which will nod and start walking forward and Yo shortly after would follow him, just behind the boss was the portal which they had to activate to can they finish the level and move to upper.

 

"Whoever don't have the next town portal, please feel free to activate the portal for everybody." he would say, and look aside following his pet which will lead him to one zone in the near corner and start digging into the ground "What is it boy? Did you found something rare." he would ask his pet as his pet will yell and Yo would approach him, kneeling down near him, it was one of the rare ingredients, Mountain root, it was really rare to find this ingredient, and it was used for several healing potions, Yo would grin and mess up his wolf fur reaching for the root and taking it back in his inventory.

 

"I can really use that, it will help me out for at least 50 healing potions or so..." he would say and look back at his party, when the portal was activate it already by someone of the others he would stand up and approach them "We need to move faster, I am on level 27 floor, and here is level 13, so this zone is easy for me, however I can take all of you at my place, I will need to craft some potions, I will give some of them to you... so seriously you need to learn to work as team.. I don't want to lose any of you." Yo would say looking aside a bit worried and keep silent for the next few seconds as his wolf would wrap around his legs.

Shi whistled as the bow user did some finishing touches on the Area Boss.

Impressive, or so he thought, he was still sitting together with Hisashi.

The bow user grabbed all the gold and every stuff that came from defeating the Area Boss.

He just ignored, he could care less, the bow user did defeat that Boss so he had the right--or what.

 

As he was about to stand up, the two other teammates arrived at the spot.

Seeing the frowning face of the pistol guy and the worried

face of the gun man made him shrugged his shoulders.

"Warii neh, Sorry, I was caught up in the moment---"

 

Shi apologized sincerely, not even sure if the others believed his apologies.

But the next time they had find another boss or whatever monster it was,

he had swore not to touch any of it---given the time he had to offer it to

his teammates and most probably not to anger them anymore.

 

"Hmmmmm as a sign of apology I better guide you to the nearest town, dozou~~"

 

Shi snapped his fingers and the portal door opened freely, the moment it opened they had

arrived at the nearest town--Randalia. To their surprise,

they noticed that Shi was only snapping his fingers, but in reality,

you would use a map or some item to summon one--whatever he did was still a mystery to them.

"Aren't we crowded..." he grinned at his teammates.

 

Noticing that there were four of them, an unusual crowd for Shi since he always plays alone.

Not that he wanted to be a loner or something---it's just comfortable for him.

 

"Hmm excuse me for a moment, I'll be going at the shop for some matters. I'll be right back in a speed of light." joking, he waved his hand as a sign of goodbye.

Randalia, huh? Yu thought to himself as Yo and David, he saw their names in the party list, started to bicker. How can we act as a team when all we do is fight each other? Yu sighed, opening the menu page in front of him and checking his available ingredients. His eyebrows rose as he double checked what he was seeing. He still had Tiamat's Blood. He smirked, how lucky.

 

He heard David say something about shopping and the opportunist that he was, Yu called after him.

"Hey, David! Wait up!" He ran towards the guy and stepped in pace with him, the other giving him a curious look. "I have something to discuss with you." He stated by way of explanation.

 

Crap. How should I start? Yu thought to himself absently, looking up and wondering if divine intervention was on its way. Hello, I just wanted to talk to you about your pheromone problem. He shook his head. No, that's just way too forward. How about: You know you stink and I was wondering- Yu snorted, that was just mean. okay how about: You know there is a way to stop from smelling like that. He hung his head and was about to admit defeat when divine intervention arrived.

 

"David," Yu started, giving himself a mental pat. "Are you familiar with the Pheromone Dampener Potion?"

Yo would glare at the other, disliking his way of talking it was too cold, and it was too harsh, he really wasn't the great leader but still he was at least thinking for his team mates "It's just the same like it was in any other game..." he would mumble to himself and look aside a little sad the other really did insult him.

"What is it Yo-kun, you seem pretty down... it's not like you..." he would say, even though the bartender was NPC he had his own personality and he still was something like a human being, just that he is NPC "I don't know, Berk, I just wonder am I good and fair leader... I just had party and I still do it but... but they just all detest me, and all I do is taking care for them you know... we just killed Area boss... and just one of the party members got all of the drop, even though just two of them took care for it.. don't you think it's kinda you know disrespectful and unfair to the others which are in the group?" he would Berk as he would chuckle a bit "Of course it is, but may be they will get it with the time... you just don't have to be too harsh on them... I guess... and you have to find a way to reach to them..." Berk would say messing again a bit the smaller male hair as he would blush lightly "Yea... but I am so bad at this..." he would mumble and look down at his cup with wine shaking it a bit....

He shook the test tubes containing red liquid. Opening his map, locating each and every location of the members. He observed that Yu and David were still hanging at some shop and Yo was all alone at a certain pub closer to his location. Shi went to the pub where Yo was staying. Before he could give the potion, he slightly patted the other's back.

 

"Sorry for disturbing but here: a potion for you and some rare items," he slowly reached his hand to his sleeves and grabbed some HP potions, handing it to Yo.

 

Handing it to the other, he was all giddy. He wanted to say something about a good hunting spot over the next area. But no, Shi preferred to remain silent, the other might not be in the mood.

 

Stretching his arms upwards, he ordered a bottle of sake.

 

"That's a token of appreciation, take care and cheer up. Jya."

 

Shi grabbed the bottle and went outside the pub. He had lots of work to do--like giving the remaining potions to the other two. He yawned and opened the bottle, drinking it to its full.

He's a working man, he already spared some time for this game. And he's very keen and careful so that he won't be killed instantly there. Though he was one of the Beta Players--the one who joined the game first, he's still wanting to be careful. He don't want to be dead, not yet, not still settling down or even married. He took out a notepad.

This was the secret to his strength.

Every potion he has were uniquely concocted using his own recipe.

Well not really his own, but he has the knack of modifying the existing recipe.

Making it stronger.

He could create the most deadly poison he usually used in his poisoned arrows.

And he could also create the most rejuvenating HP potion there is.

His creations were a-couple-much-times higher effect than normal potions.

If he's in the mood and have some rare ingredients, the effectivity increases tenfold.

 

So I would be needing this...and this...

Shit! I ran out of ---- Fuck! That was some rare ingredient!

 

He sighed deeply after realizing what he lacks.

When suddenly a voice called out to him.

 

"Hey, David! Wait up!"

 

He turned his head around only to find out that it was Yu who called out to him.

 

"David are you familiar with the Pheromone Dampener Potion?"

 

He chuckled when he heard the damn name of the potion.

"Hhmmmm. Are you hittin' on me?

Cause that's how it sounded to my ears. A bit weird though. Haha!

I will admit that your stealth and mobility skills are up to par but your pheromone scent just gives you away. How do you think we found out that you were watching us?" Yu shrugged as he pocketed his hands. "That would be a problem if you're in a party and especially when we're all out hunting on higher areas. Judging by your level, you SHOULD know that higher area monsters are highly aggressive and they will attack without any given provocation. And unlike in any other games, in this one everything goes, so that means that the monsters can and will smell you."

 

He stopped then, waving the other off.

 

"If you wish to be a team player start with that.

And if you don't know the ingredients, PM me."

 

Yu finished as he walked towards his stash to get some of his valuables.

He knew it wasn't his business how David handled his problem, but he knew the risks and he was not willing to jeopardize his safety, or the safety of his teammates for that matter, if he know that he could do something about it.

 

Why do I even care anyways? He thought to himself, not really finding the answer on a pebble that he kicked out of his way. All of us were born to die anyways. So why do I still care?

 

He arrived at his destination and sighed. It was time to continue where he left off in his experiments.
