Bewildered by Jae Sun's greeting, which was a never before seen, he was polite and lively, not that grumpy brat who he always was, he just stared in silence.

 

"Why the happy face Jae? Something happened?"

 

"Nothing much. It's just you calling me here could give this cheerfulness."

 

Tell me what you need old geezer.

I'm really getting excited which countries I'll perform.

 

Looking a little worried, he said, "Do you want to have a break?"

 

"You mean a big break? Of course! I would love to."

 

"Ahhmm, that's not what I my meant kid. Let me tell it to you straight. I'm getting a lot of complaints about your attitude. But if I giving up a talented kid like you would be such a waste. But if I just let you off the hook, you will not learn. So here's a little proposal for you, how about you return home for a couple of ---let's say weeks. If you could fix that attitude of yours, I'll take you back here."

 

"And if I hadn't changed?"

 

"Well, think about changing careers now. Or look for a more suitable job for that kind of attitude of yours."

Unaware of the perfect proposial going on in a meeting room in korea, kei finished up his song. He stood and noticed yuki had tears in her eyes. "I never knew you could be so passionate." She sniffles and placed her violen back in its case. "Great session guys. Come back in." Kei followed the man's directions as he stood and went to speak with the recorder. He gave him a firm pat on the shoulders. "Good job kid. You have heart and courage. I can see you go far." "Thank you." He said softly as his nervious butterflies were finally released to the world. He was handed a solo copy on a Dvd. Yuki gathered her things and they left. "We will post this asap once we get to our house?" "Can I make the youtube account. He asked once they were back in the car driving to kei's house. "Sure!" She replied as they drove away from the record company.

Opposite from what the employees of the agency saw that morning, was the grumpiest Jae they've ever seen. He was even smoking in the open allowing some employees to see him. His manager approached him and will try to calmly talk but Jae was as stubborn as a kid.

As they drove to Kei's house he began texting Jae's cell. [[The recorder man said I had heart and courage! Oh God this rush! I cant come down! I must have more!]] He texted excitedly. [[i have the recorded song on Cd for you. Expect it in the mail soon!]] They drove up to the house and rushed up to his bedroom where their created their simple aaccount named Kei & Yuki. They began uploading the video. The wait was making him impatient and he whined to yuki.

"Okay, so if you don't want to talk to me, fine The president said that you could have the rest of the day off. Rest well my star."

 

He only looked at his manager with menacing eyes. He is still grateful to her since she really took good care of him when he was still an amateur. Like a kid he stomped towards the car park and drove to his favorite place near a river.

They uploaded the video at the recording company and he wrote 'for someone very special to me. I love you so very much.' He typed in the artist comments. "Now its left to the viewers. Yuki I still have the craving to play. How about we listen to some songs from Japan, Korea, and America and do our own spin on them. To add more to our account." They recorded their own spin offs with a second hand mic and speaker set yuki had in her car for the occasion. They played music from the hit charts from the three countries charts. From upbeat to ballads. They posted them all on their account and even set up an email account for their fans to connact them that they both could get into.

He sat near the river and feels the wind on his skin.

 

"The spring's breeze really feels good by this time of the year. But I'm not enjoying right now."

 

He picks up a rock and threw it on the river. He lied down with his head resting on both of his hands.He reached for his handphone and logged in Skype.

[[Hey Jae, what's up?! ]] He typed cheerfully as he exited out of youtube. Yuki excused herself and went to fix them some sandwiches.[[i had a great day today! The recording kept going once we got home. We gave popular songs from Japan, Korea, and America our own flare and posted them on youtube! I think we make an awesome duo together. Now we just need to work on a look! Should be like good vs evil. Me in white while Yuki is in black lolita?"]]

I don't have time watching some amateur vids.

Kei knew something was off with Jae. He could feel it with his every being. [[is something the matter, Jae?]] He said caringly as he began munching on the sandwich and chips yuki brought him.

He jolted up.

[[What would my fans think if I suddenly go to a vacation or break?]]

He just stared at the water blown by the wind. It was really getting chilly but he had no intention of leaving. At least not in the meantime. He just wanted time to pass and clear his mind.

[[Well I don't know then. Why don't you tell me the details? Maybe then I can come up with better answers. I am not living your life and I am not there in person. So how should I know if you don't tell me?]] He replied in the chat.

He was lying on the grass without bothering about its foul smell. He was wondering how much did he changed from the time he began working as a pop idol.

Kai grabbed his cell phone off the desk. He began texting and calling Jae Sun none stop.

[[i'm sorry Jae. Really I am. I don't know what came over me. Maybe I'm just testy because I barely slept last night or am past tired now. Please forgive me.]] He sent in a text. He got a reply a bit later after he had given Jae's phone a break.

His phone kept on ringing non-stop since the time he logged out of the chatroom. "Argh! Will you stop it! It's really annoying!" Like a fool he kept on talking to his vibrating and ringing phone as if it would respond to his voice. He raised his cellphone and was about to throw it into the river, when he realized that his phone is important. All his contacts in the industry was saved there. And just throwing it for just a fan is not worth it.

 

After hours of lying down there, darkness already filled his surroundings, and its really cold out there to top it off, he's wearing thin layer of clothes. He went back to his condo to drink and drown his disappointment.

He forwarded Jae the link to the song he recorded earilier that day. [[Please give it a listen. It will explain my feelings.]] He sent in a text before turning off his phone. He fell on his bed as Yuki slipped into some of his pjs and plain tee shirt. She snuggled up to him. He rudely pulled her arms off him as he got up to change into some pj pants. "Yuki, you know I don't date girls. You know how uncomfortible I am with them. So why get touchie feelie with me?" "Sorry Kai. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortible. You know I view you like a brother. Can't I show you some friendly love." Kai was in fact quite testy. He was even taking it out on Yuki, his most important music partner. He wouldn't be an over night sensation on youtube if it weren't for her. "I'm sorry. I'm just tired Yuki." He got back in bed and let her cuddle up to him.

"Haaa, what a day..." He sighed long enough to get all his breath out. He just jumped on his bed his face down. He remembered what his boss told him that morning.

Hearing this different tone in his phone, he knew right away that this is his manager calling.He rushed over to his bag and answered it.

 

"Hello? Have they changed their mind? They made a mistake right??!! I'm not sent home right? Please tell me they got it all mixed up. Im not the one they're sending home right?"

 

"... Sorry to break you heart Jae, but they were already planning that for quite a long while. I guess its my fault that I followed your every whims, that's why you became like that. Don't worry about the paper works, I've already done all of it for you. Sorry, I couldn't do anything about it. Higher-ups. What can a lowly manager like me say to them. I hope you understand. But if ever you changed your attitude, I'll be the one to persuade them to take you back. You're flight is in three days. Make sure you pack everything you need. Bye."

 

Dooo...dooo...dooo...dooo

 

Flabbergasted. Speechless. He hold on to his cellular phone in hopes of his manager calling him again to say that it was a mistake. He looks like a miserable child sitting beside his bed, moping. And for the first time since he became a celebrity, he shed tears of regret.

The weekend came quickly for Kai and Yuki. After she made him pancakes for breakfast, she got her laptop from her house. The plan would be to check their joint email account and see the views they got over night. Yuki was sitting on Kai's bed with her laptop turned on. Kai opened up their joint youtube account and his mouth dropped wide open. "OH MY GOD! YUKI! WE'RE AN OVER NIGHT SUCCESS! LOOK AT HOW MANY VIEWS WE GOT. THERE IS A FLOOD OF COMMENTS TOO! I BET THE EMAIL ACCOUNT IS FLOODED TOO!" Besides for the facts he pointed out, they had an overwelming about of surscibed followers. "This is going to be alot of work." He opened their hotmail email and began replying to emails.

It was a busy airport. Narita is. Everyone is squirming around, walking back and fort, bidding goodbyes to their love ones on one side or welcoming some other relatives on another side. Several female holding out cardboards and other greetings or affectionate stuffs for their idol was lurking in one corner of the lounge.

 

Its been a while since he arrived in Japan. Nevertheless, he could still speak his mother tongue. Upon his arrival, many fans were waiting in line. As he passed by, they were screaming, shouting their lungs out, crying name. With just a flash of a gentle smile from him and a wave of his hand, kept his fans going gaga over him. What could they even ask for more? Jae Sun is in Japan, body and soul!

 

Although he was really worried about how will his career turn out after their company resident asked him---rather forced him to reflect on his past action, at least he still has a little ray of hope, returning back on stage, since the agency only announced that he will be coming back to Japan for a vacation or that is what he strongly wished it was.

Kai had arrived early to the airport to see his beloved idol. He was one of the few men there. Most of the turn out were women or teen girls. He was getting pressed against the fence barridade that was seperating them from their idol. He felt like everyone else squeeking and yelling out his name and yet is the face of pure calm. Under his clothes, his heart was pounding just from the sight of him walking up. "Jae Sun!" He called out loudly making his idol stop in front of him. "It's me, Kai. Your pen pal." He said in his deepest voice he could muster up, as he tried to get the idol attention more than the sea of girls around him. "I can give you a free ride home, if you would like. Or to where ever your spending your vacation at." He offered in hopes he would accept his offer.

In the sea of screaming fans, he heard a distinct manly voice. Ignore it. Ignore it. was what he thought. Favoring one fan over the others will cause a riot and everybody will just be pestering him, following the previous' action. So the best solution to that is to ignore him.

 

Anyway, I don't need it. I have my own means. Besides, if I recall correctly, he is just a high school brat what could he offer me? A cheap cab? Haha! Not in a million year would a celebrity of my caliber would ride that thing.

 

He walked his way towards the exit with the help of the security. And beyond that exit was a posh looking limo waiting for him. Before settling inside his ride, he turned around once more and bid his "cute little kittens" goodbye. He instructed the driver on where he should be dropped off.

 

Its gonna be a long way to go, almost two to three hours, before he reached his house in Nagoya. He brought out his ipod and played music so loud, even the driver could hears bits of songs playing. He spent the whole time looking over the window, gazing at every scenery they would pass by. Wondering. How the hell should he reflect??!! If there is, where should he start??!! What should he even change to get back to his career??!! And how could they even know whether he has changed or not??!! The president didn't even gave him a hint. All these things were bothering him so much, he drifted off to sleep.

Kai felt the sudden disappointment flood into him as he watched his idol past him. But he did have the face of knowing who Kai was. Maybe he could get him to visit him through a phone call, text, or chatroom chat. He waited for the sea of fangirls to leave and get in cars to try to follow the limo. He just jumped into Yuki's car and lite up a cigarette after grabbing the pack out of her cup holder. "How'd it go?" "I failed. But I did see he noticed me out of the sea of women." He automaticlly signed into the private chatroom Jae and himself use to chat through the hosted website. He stayed logged on as Yuki drove him to their favorite bar for drinks and heavy fried food.

 

Kai could basicly eat anything and not gain weight or the usual zitted out face from eatting too much greasie foods and chocolate. He drowned his sorrows with strong mixed juice drinks with volka and then a few rounds of sake. They had campaine tastes on beer budgets. Sometimes, they would even need to work to pay off their nightly tabs washing dishes or cleaning up tables. By the night's end, Kai was past the point of being too entoxicated. He made Yuki work for a couple hours to pay off their over endulging bill. Then was lead out in the arms of their usual bartender that knew them very well. He was gently placed in the back of Yuki's car and belted in by the bartender before Yuki drove off. Kai found himself snoring in the back of the car, with drool coming out of the corner of his mouth. Yuki had left him over night in her car, in her driveway at her parent's house. He opened the door after getting blinded by the morning sun and setted off her car alarm.
