707
In the beginning there were four cities. The Golden City to the north, The Shadow's Void to the south, Eden to the west, and Earth to the east. The Golden City housed the most ancient of beings there was. The Angels. They who looked after creation and kept it in balance. The Shadow's Void housed the fallen among the beings of the other cities. Eden housed the Secret Bearers of the Golden City and Shadow's Void. Earth housed the kingdom of man. Since the beginning of time, war ravaged the three. Those who were in Eden recorded and watched. But the kingdom of man grew weary of the fighting. They decided that the prize was not worth the destruction that it caused. So Earth was removed. It's people forgetting the eternity they spent in war. But it was not to be so. The Kingdom of man received mortality in exchange for relief. Earth grew steady, but within it war broke out. Nation against nation. Family against family. Brother against brother. The Kingdom of Man was also cunning. Not all of them forgot. Not all of them turned to ash. Within this Kingdom another emerged. The Kingdom of the unknown. As the fourth kingdom rose, those in Eden was disturbed. But it was something that they could not prevent. When the trumpet sounded, all hell broke loose. Eden was under siege. Lilith of Shadow's Void in the lead.
~Ashton~
Sun filtered through the trees, shining on patches of grass in a wavering pattern. Birds were chirping in the distance, then entire scene was covered in innocence and it made a small smile cross the Young Princes face. He leaned farther back against the tree and allowed his feet to dangle below the tree limb, this was how he liked it. Surrender, calm, peaceful, he didn't know he and all his land were about to be devastated by something horrid. His ear's twitched up as he heard a horn, startling him he jumped and stumbled back falling from the tree and landing with a deafening oof! Reaching up he rubbed his head and plucked a leave from his tangled locks, heading foot steps rush towards him he turned in confusion as the Royal Guards approached him with alert looks. "Excuse me Young Lord, but there has been a matter of Mortal Security. For your protection we would request you to come back to the safety of the palace....Quickly if you would Sir!" Turning slightly Ashton gazed off into the distant horizon, he could see that there were rain clouds in the distance, and then he noticed that all had gone quiet. Quieting his tingling spin he and his guards took of on a run towards the palace, feeling that something horrible had happened and once he got there his suspensions were confirmed. 707
"Yurim!" Yurim looked up and saw Michael speeding his way. "Lilith has broken the sacred pact!" Yurim's blood turned cold. "Then, is Eden lost?" "No, not yet." The prince of the angelic host stopped in front of him and Yurim noticed that he was bleeding. "Let me heal you." "We have no time!" Michael grabbed Yurim's hand and they sped towards Eden. Eden had been a paradise of infinite beauty, but what greeted them when they arrived was total destruction. The gates had been destroyed, torn to pieces and its remains scattered everywhere. Black corruption covered the ground and everything in eyesight. Demons lurking in every corner while the Thrones, Angelic warriors, fought bravely, valiantly but in vain. There were just too many Demons. Yurim fell to the ground, wondering what he should do. "The tree..." He stated softly, Michael watching him intently. Then it hit him. The Tree! "Let's go." With determination etched in his features, Yurim floated. In front of them was a legion of Demons that would frighten even the bravest of the Thrones. But Yurim and Michael were not of the Thrones. They were Secret Bearers! Yurim advanced and equipped Illumination, a ring that used divine light to purge its targets. He smirked at his friend and sped in the middle of the horde, firing Illumination at quick succession. Michael shook his head and joined the fray. It had taken them longer than expected to reach the Tree of Knowledge, but they arrived just in time to see Lilith destroy the most powerful gates that had ever existed. "That is far enough Lilith!" Yurim shouted, gaining her attention. "You are not allowed, nor any of your kind, to witness the Tree!" "Then who is allowed!?" Lilith shouted. "You and your kind!?" "No," Yurim replied, floating over the Demon Lord. "The Tree of Knowledge was made for the Kingdom of Man! And I will protect it from ANYONE who wishes to exploit it's gift, even from YOU!" He raised his hands and in them appeared the Armageddon, the blade that the greatest of makers made. Michael rushed to his side. "That's a bad idea Yurim.." He whispered but Lilith heard him anyways. "You should listen to him, Keeper." Lilith mocked, laughing maniacally. "You know what to do.." Michael winked and charged the laughing demon. Yurim nodded, stabbing Armageddon to the ground and using Illumination to strengthen it's power. "From the beginning to the end," He chanted. "Make the world bear witness to your gift. Give me word to take you in hand!" He finished just as the soul of the Tree entered Illumination. Michael had the upper hand, but when Lilith took out a piece of paper everything turned upside down. "How did you get your hands on that?" Yurim asked standing beside Michael as three of Lilith's general's stood behind her. "What this?" She replied, waving the page in front of them. "I just found them, thats all." She smirked as Yurim lost all manners of control. "YOU JUST DON'T FIND PAGES OF THE BOOK OF LIFE!!!" He started towards her but Michael stopped him. "We cannot defeat them.." He said silently, then he looked at Yurim as if saying something. Then Yurim found out himself what it was when Michael pushed him down a portal, the tip of Lilith's blade protruding through his chest. "You-!" Yurim couldn't finish because he was falling and the three generals were after him.
~Ashton~
Ashton ran through the gates, the storm was approaching fast. Shooting through the castle grounds and pounding up the sculpted marble staircase, his guards never leaving his side all the while. It began to pour outside and Ashton couldn't even remotely guess what was upsetting the ecosystem so horribly. He brushed a stray hair from his eyes and knocked on the large doors that were the entrance to the throne room, standing back as the doors were heaved open by the guards and dashing in. "Father! Something is horribly wro-!" His voice stopped as he looked around to see no one in there. This was the Royal Throne Room, there should always be someone there. Swiveling on his foot he bounded back out, running higher up into the palace and once more heaving a door open himself. Elves were more magic, they were not usually strong at all physically so he was a bit winded from the heaving of such the large doors. The doors revealed his father, sitting around a table with what looked like the Council men which all held looks of deep worry and sorrow. The boys father gave him a wary smile and motioned him over."My son, come. We have much to discuss, there is something wrong. Things have gotten out of hand i'm afraid this could be the end of us all." Eyes widening Ash simply stared. "W-what are you talking about! Would somebody please just tell me what's going on?" Ash pleaded with not only his father but every other elf in there. Each looked away before his father spoke. "Ashton, you were to be told at the time of your crowning but there is much you do not know. There are other realms, and the are very powerful. Something has happened in one and it will directly effect ours, go find your mother and pray with her my boy. For this may be the end of us all." With that Ashton didn't get another word, he was rushed from the room by more guards, instead of two now he was surrounded my six. He protested as he was being ushered up and into the rain in order to get to the corridor that led to his mothers room, however with the rain and another pack of guards rushing towards them everyone collided. Ash head a loud crackle, the others must have assumed it was simply thunder but he could tell it was different. Seeing a flash as well he turned and saw what looked like a hole in the sky, moving to call for help he was shoved by the guards who were scrambling around and not paying attention and stumbled over the edge. Falling down, down, down he landed hard, rolling over and moaning as he tried to collect himself. Standing and checking himself over he sighed, moving towards the gate then pausing, seeing something plummet from the hole as well. Giving one last glance as the gate he swiveled away from his, his eyes glowing a shade of icy blue as he raised onto his tiptoes and began a mad dash through the woods, moving faster than any human and most elves could possibly dream of, he was a prince after all. 707
Yurim fell but did not touch the ground. He floated and wondered where he was. Rain. Rain did not happen in the the three cities. He looked around and saw that he was on Earth. The he remembered the sword, sticking out Michael's chest. He screamed. "Michael!!!!!!!" Yurim was soaked and the feeling was foreign. Then, the three generals landed in a circle around him. Two of them were bulky and one floated on what appeared to be smoke. "Let's get this over with!" Yurim stated in fury, Armageddon appearing on his hands. The two attacked while the floating one watched. Yurim was faster but the two of them were just BIG. He evaded to the side as one of the two almost cut him in half with its claws, using Armageddon to block the attack of the other. Then he saw the opening he was looking for. One of the two jumped, meaning to let him evade while the other charged him from behind. Yurim smirked and flew towards the one in midair and swung his sword, cutting that general in two, then performing a back flip in the air he brought the sword down the other, cutting him in half vertically. Something hit Yurim as he was floating down, throwing him a couple of yards away. He had totally forgotten about the last Demon! It approached him, leaves silently whispering beneath the smoke that kept it afloat. Yurim laughed, spitting out blood as the demon took out a dagger. "Go ahead, kill me" He taunted, not really caring either way. "Kill me and all your troubles would be in vain.." Yurim smiled as thunder boomed somewhere nearby. ~Ashton~
The crystal around ashtons neck began to hum, slowing he glanced down at it, it was most likely his father or mother trying to find out where there precious son had disaappeared to in this time of crisis which he still did not realy get. But he hoped the thing that fell from the sky may answer some of his questions, he was busy in thought and didn't see the clunky think until it had hit him head on, causing him to sprawl out on the snow covered forest floor. Sitting up and rubbing the dizzyness from his head he glanced back, letting out a yell as he saw what looked like half of something! Stumbling back away from it and pressing his back to a nearby tree. That was it, he was done, he wanted to go home and climb in his bed, to have all this just end.None of this could really be happening, he had been sitting in a tree, relaxing only about an hour ago and now he was next to the dead body of something and stuck in a storm.Turning to head back towards the palace he froze, hearing the sound of what he assumed was speaking. Shifting around a bit he saw him, eyes locking on what looked like some kind of morphed thing that he took as a deamon perhaps? "No way, this can't be real! None of it" He muttered, looking over and seeing what to him appeared as an angel compared to the others. In an instant he knew he couldn't let this thing hurt him, looking around for something to help with he reached up, whispering softly as a large amount of crystal shaped ice shot from the ground. Freezing around the ugly things foot to hold him in place and fear proze the young prince as he and the thing locked eyes, his ears went down a bit in fright. 707
Yurim saw his chance. While the demon was looking at the Elf, he raised Armageddon and stabbed the thing in the chest and twisted. The demon howled in pain while Yurim flew up high and stopped. The portal was gone. And he was on Earth. The gravity of the situation hit him like a fright train. He screamed. As he floated to the ground, he noticed something sticking out from the demon that he just killed. It was another page! So that's why he was so powerful He thought absently to himself. The Book of Life was one of the most protected secrets of Eden. Anyone who got hold of the complete book would be able to open the pathway to the Well of Souls. But the Secret Bearers decided long ago that the book was too important to keep whole, so they took some pages and hid them in the only place that no Angel nor Demon would go. Earth. Yurim was given the task of keeping and protecting the remainder of the book. "You can come out, you know.." He stated softly, floating a little bit towards the horizon. He frowned, looking at the ground. There were white things that littered the entirety of the area. Yurim lookde behind him and asked. "What are these?" ~Ashton~
Ashton watched as the thing shreiked, noticing the other didn't even wait for the thing to die before flying back up to where the hole had been. He had been to busy and didn't focus, the ice that held the dead deamon up cracked and shattered to the ground around him. He wouldn't have cared had the body not promptly dropped on his as well, cursing as he crawled from underneath it rather annoyed. "If one more of those things falls on me I swear..." Sighing he brushed his white pants off and glanced back up to see the remaining one coming down, and not knowing what else to do he fled. Hiding behind a nearby tree and peering out of it, hearing it talk to him he jumped in surprise. Slowly he began to inch back out around the tree, his necklace glowing a bright hue. Blinking in confusion as he was asked, what he considered, such a stupid question. Reaching down he picked up a bit of snow and molded it into a snow ball quickly as he had since he was a kid. Tossing it from hand to hand his cool skin didn't even melt it, tossing at the other as he spoke in a melody tone. "It's called snow, when water gets cold it turns to ice, snow is like the mixture of the two, well snow and sleet of course...so who or what are you, and where did you come from?" He inquired as he looked towards the sky.
707
"Snow..." Yurim stated slowly as if tasting the word. He turned and floated towards the dead demon's body, and took the page of the Book of Life, placing it inside the voluminous sleeves of his robe. He looked back at the elf before he even heard his question. So young, you are. He thought to himself. He concentrated, breaking the kid's mental defenses as if they were dust against a storm, "I am Yurim, Keeper of The Book of Life, Top Archivist of the Golden City, Watcher of the Tree of Knowledge, and a Warden of Eden." Yurim stated both mentally and vocally. He sighed as the elf looked at him in shock. He didn't have time to play games. He needed to talk to this kid's elders. "Come, Ashton bring me to your leaders.." He stated, floating towards the boy and offering his hand.
~Ashton~
Ashton gave the other a rather curious look. "Um, did you manage to hit your head on the way down o something?" Glancing around and up to see if anything weirder could possibly come at him at the moment, finding nothing he sighed and took a few steps back. He had no idea how dangerous this being was and didn't really intend to find out at the moment. He jumped lightly when he heard a voice inside his head of all places! Looking around before locating that it had come from this warden things mouth. Shaking his head lightly and sighing "Can you please refrain from doing that, it's rather weird?" He didn't think the other would harm him so took on a less tense demeanor until a hand was offered towards him. Glancing around and weighing his options he decided best to take it and risk his chances than to not and risk angering him. He reached up and lightly took Yurims hand, his icy touch a contrast to the others warm one and pointed. The elders are over there, see that wall, it's the palace where the king and all council men are."
707
Yurim nodded. "Hold tight," He murmured as Ashton complied. Then they were flying, their speed making the drops of rain rather painful. He stretched his presence so that everyone in the entire city heard his call. I am not an enemy. I come bearing a most urgent news. He sighed as the entire city came alive. I probably shouldn't have done that. He thought to himself as he evaded a few arrows that whizzed past them. I told you I'm not an ENEMY!!! He thundered in all of the beings' consciousness below them. Yurim descended and let Ashton go, catching him in the arm when the boy grew unsteady. He glared at a particular guard nearby, who almost killed their prince. He opened the great double doors with ease as he ignited instantaneously to dry himself up. The guards inside the chamber rushed at him, still not believing. "KNEEL!" He exclaimed as the guards fell to their knees, immobile. "I told you, I'm not an enemy." Yurim floated towards the center of the room, towering above all the occupants. He sighed. He knew they were a little apprehensive and a bit intimidated because he was floating, but even though he wanted to stand on his two feet, he just COULDN'T. He looked directly at what he suspected to be the king. "Are you aware of what has happened?"
~Ashton~
Ashton let out a yelp as he was tugged into the air, closing his eyes tight as he felt rain beat against his smooth skin. He felt a somewhat ripple in the air and cling tighter to the other, not want to fall from so high. He hasn't as weak as a human by any stretch but elves were also not as durable as they were either. He heard the other call out and growled lightly. "You idiot!" His voice was all but drowned out by the rain. "Your going to set everyone into even more of a panic! I'm the prince, we could have just walked in!!" He watched his city scream in fear as they saw a mysterious being carry there prince into the palace, as arrows wized past him one knicked his ear eat and he shifted, putting a block in the hair so none of them hit him. Ashton stumbled upon hard ground once more when he was released but felt himself straightened and then he though.I could have just brought a murderer of my kind into the palace and didn't even ask a thing. This is all my fault. With his head bowed and ears drooped in shame he continued through the door as well, he first hear a shout of glee as his mother rushed forward and swept her son in her arms. Seeing everyone around him kneel he glanced over at Yurim, he hated when people had to kneel. In his mind, no one was lower than any other. He refused to kneel, standing defiantly at the side of the intruder. The king glanced from his son, giving him a very angry and disappointing look to Yurim/ "Yes, I am aware of what has happened. We will aid you as best we can, but know. You are in our realm now and will obey the rules here. As long as you do so then we are at your disposal." The kind stood from his thrown and gave a kurt nod to the angel, pulling his son by the arm and whispering in his ear with a tight grip. "We will speak of this later, you have disgraced me." Ash nodded with pale cheeks as he was led off.
707
Yurim heard what the king said. And he knew that it was all his fault. "Your son actually saved my life." He interjected, floating near them. "If it wasn't for him," He smirked. "This world and all of creation would have been nothing more but dust and debris in the infinity that is the abyss." He looked the king in the eye and continued, knowing that they needed more than that. "Close the doors," He ordered softly, floating back to the center of the room. "In the beginning," He started, using a small drop of his power to change their environment, making it look like they were in what he was currently narrating. "Humans were eternal, just like us. They knew all the laws and everything about the realms." He stopped, letting the gathered crowed watch the events unfold in front of them. "There was a war, there still is. A war in which the prize was Eden. The Golden City, the realm of the angels, kept the balance between humanity and demons. You could say that we were neutral. But humans grew weary of fighting and decided to stop the war and live on themselves. But it came with a prize. They gained mortality, but the ones who were stronger." He looked directly at the king. "Your ancestors. Retained a part of their once immortal life. Now, if you're thinking that the demons took Eden that day, you are mistaken. The Golden City, protected Eden for the sake of mankind.." Yurim spread his arms and showed them the horrors and prices the Thrones had to pay for mankind. "Eden as it should be and will always be for mankind. Then YOUR kingdom appeared. It created an upheaval in the Council of the Secret Bearers." He nodded as he showed them the meeting that had changed everything. "Most of the Council wanted to give Eden to the demons because when mankind grew weary, that was when they....YOU...admitted defeat. A couple of the Council did not approve and that includes me and Michael. We convinced them eventually and I was tasked as Warden of Eden." He chuckled. "You must be wondering what that means. It means that if a human dies, I would be its judge. I would show him how he lived his life then send him to the Well of Souls to be purified." Yurim looked at Ashton as he continued. "Eden had been taken by the demons, but they will not be able to touch the Tree of Knowledge for I am now the holder of its soul." He smiled and it was filled with sorrow. "The Well of Soul is the one keeping everything together and its existence is dependent on its protector. That means, that if I die the cycle of life ends as well, for I am its protector.." ~Ashton~
Ashton was halted by his father as he was defended, sighing softly as he was brought to stand behind him yet still peeking out sheepishly. He watched in fascination as he came to learn of the nature of the beginning, this was how everything had started and how everything was going to end. The kind glanced back up "And how is it you want us to help you?We are mere elves, hell, you saw how dimwitted my lovely son is. Forgive him, for he is young and will learn in time if given the chance." The king rounded up a few more guards and waited for an answer as to how to help or proceed any further, rain pelting the windows all the while. 707
Yurim smiled. "You are familiar with The Book of Life, yes?" He asked as he floated to where they were. The king's nod of approval was all the answer he needed. "Parts of the book had been scattered here on earth and we need to find all of them if I'm to return to Eden." He smiled sadly at the open curiosity in their faces. "I can not return to the Golden City...." He stated by way of explanation. "I may return to Eden but only for a short time. Long enough for me to cleanse it of the demonic horde within." He looked up and sighed. "I would like to rest if it isn't too much trouble for you." 707
Yurim looked at the king and understood. Even though he was harsh towards his son, the king obviously loved him so much that he was willing to risk bringing The End. He smiled, looking up and stopped. There was a black figure just above the city. He exited the chamber and flew towards it, dreading in anticipation when he noticed that the figure was Lilith. Just a transparent image, but Yurim was more concerned on the message it held. "Lilith," He said, by way of greeting. The image smiled and it was a grotesque picture. "My armies will find you, Keeper." She said as if it was an everyday occurrence. "They have your scent and you won't be able to hide." "Who said anything about hiding?" Yurim replied, wondering what he should do now. "After what you have done to Michael I really don't care anymore." Lilith cackled maniacally. "Oh yes, I completely forgot that you two were more than friends." She stopped then and walked back and forth. "Not really surprising, since you angels are hardwired to love." She stopped so suddenly, clapping her hands and hopping like an over energized bunny. "But you see, I gave him his life back! And he's the one leading the search for you!" That was a blow that made Yurim wonder and question his own sanity. "I will kill you..." He stated softly, liquid garnet burning in his eyes. The image cackled one last time before disappearing. He screamed. "Protect us with all Your might," He started, extending his arms on both his sides and expanding his awareness to the ends of the city below him. "Oh Creator of gracious day and night. Thrice around the circle's bound, sink all evil unto the ground!" He finished as a blinding ray of light extended from him to all directions, engulfing the entire city in a protective light. Then he was falling, tears silently cascading down his cheeks.
~Ashton~
Ashton, his father and all the guards rushed to the windows as the angel rushed out from his. Craning up so he could see what was happening way up there, turning he ran through the palace, shooting down corridors and busting from the roof towers. Very carefully he climbed across the top, getting as close as he could and rewarded greatly by catching the last phrase of the guardian. With his eyes until something began to light up the cloudy and bleak sky, causing him to almost lose his footing but righting himself up quickly, looking back in time to see Yurim plummeting from the sky. Heart leaping he took a few steps back then ran forward, jumping from the ledge in time to tackled the other in the air. The plumetted towards the ground faster due to the added weight but before they hit it Ashton murmured a light phrase and they halted, stopped by a pillar of ice that held there feet up. Ashton sighed in relieve as he plopped to the ground, lowering the Angel as well and looking around for his father.
707
"You must understand that if you take this responsibility, you would become the most important and most protected being in the Golden City." The Seraph stated, circling Yurim. "May be even the entirety of creation." "I understand." Yurim replied as he continued to kneel. "Then I, Aroa, Seraph of the seventy-seventh degree, Archon of the White Citadel, and Chief of the Secret Bearers, entrust to you, Yurim, Angel of the seventy-sixth degree, Top Archivist of the Golden City, Warden of Eden, A Secret Bearer, and now Protector of The Well of Souls," He lifted his hands as the other Secret Bearers stood and did the same. "Your Wings." Yurim's wings folded inside then stretched outwards. This wings were the symbol of his mission and the symbol of his humility. "With this blessing comes a burden and a price. You will not be able to touch ground for as long as you endure." "And so I shall." Yurim replied as he started his life afloat. "And so you shall." The rest of the assembly echoed, Michael smiling proudly at him.
~Ashton~
Ashton stood still as his father and the guards rushed forward and surrounded the fallen angel, trying there best to carefully pick him up and rush him inside. They brought him inside and rushed him to the upclass master bed room and covered him quickly. Using there magic to cause him to relax and sleep soothingly. The entire kingdom was in an uproar, however things managed to get even worse. There was a loud boom and they rushed out to see large falls of fire erupting towards the palace but being stopped by the wall of protection the angel had set up. Ashton glanced around, watching as his family and friends ran for there lives. It had been about two days since the other had come and he was still not awake, the barrier had been dropped llong ago. Ashton's mother had been crushed that morning by a falling pillar. The king stood by the angelsbed, his face red with anger. "you must wake up, take my son and flee!" 707
You must wake up, take my son and flee! Yurim woke with a start. The city was in turmoil! "The Book!" He stated fiercely as he floated upright. "The pages! Where are they?" He asked, following the king as he led him outside the bedroom. And it was Eden all over again. The city was ravaged by fire and demons lurked at every corner. Yurim was amazed. He was amazed at the resilience of these mortals. "By the looks of it," He started as the king started running again. "They had been here in the span of two of your earth days." He mussed, following the king on a winding stair. "When they attacked Eden they were there for about a year in your time." The king suddenly stopped and Yurim saw that their path was blocked with a couple dozen of human-sized demons. Yurim extended his right hand and eradicated them with one burst of blinding light. "Where is Ashton?" He looked around as they started again, his eyes taking in the devastation of the city. After a couple of minutes of running, floating on Yurim's part, they arrived at an overly large double doors that reminded Yurim of the Gates of The Golden City. "Keeper!!!" A booming voice halted him. "You will come with me or we will destroy this entire realm!!!" Yurim looked behind him and had to stop himself from flinching at the sight. It was Michael. Twisted and corrupted by demon magics.
~Ashton~
Ashton's eyes were full of unspoken sorrow as he watched his home, the only place he had ever wanted to be, being torn apart. He heard children screaming and crying for there parents, saw husbands trying to lift sptray wood off there fallen wives. Elves were a proud nation, however for him to see his kind cowering below these other beings he grew icy. Everything was fine until he showed up, he hated him with every fiber of his being. "Your a guard, then why did you fail so bad?" He whispered harshly as the ground shook with another explosion, fire raining down upon him he looked up to see the palace had been hit directly. Rocks began to rain around him as his home crumbled, his room and the entire section of the building was going to cave in. He turned and dashed through the doorway, the palace falling at his heels as his eyes began to glow an icy shade of blue. The souls of his feet seeming to heat up beneath him, he just made it out at a dead running dead into something or someone and tumbling over them and sprawled out on the floor. Sitting up and rubbing his forehead he looked up to see the Angel looking behind him and his father looking straight at him in horror. In confusion he glanced behind him and instantly felt a threatening aoura, before he even tried to run he quickly coated himself inside glimmering ice prision. Turning to yell at the angel "Your the protector right!! Right!! Then stop standing there and do something!" He screamed.
707
"Michael.." Yurim whispered, ignoring Ashton's yell for him to do something. "What happened to you?" Michael looked back at him with dead eyes and at that moment Yurim knew that the Michael that he knew....and lo-He shook his head. It was time to do something about this mess. He just couldn't let an entire race be wiped away because of him. "You," He started raising his hands, Armageddon appearing in them. "Will have to kill me if you want that to happen!" Then he charged, forgetting that he was supposed to flee with the young prince. He brought Armageddon down, the force of it rattling the unsteady ground and creating a shockwave that rattled random debris, but Michael was faster, even though dead, his body knew the way it should move. Then he attacked and Yurim had to defend himself. They were evenly matched but death made Michael's movement sluggish. Yurim rushed and swung Armageddon, missing Michael's midsection by inches, then he followed him as he flew and Yurim was faster than him. He grabbed the other's foot and harshly tossed him back to the ground. Yurim followed the falling angel with Armageddon poised to give a killing blow. And they landed in a pile of debris and dust, the ground shaking violently at the impact. Armageddon was buried to the ground, Michael's chest caught in between. But the other was still alive! And Yurim silently realized that the dead could not be killed a second time. He cringed as one of Michael's blade took purchase on his left shoulder, blood dripping down its length. "We will meet again, Keeper." He whispered as he vanished in a cloud of debris and smoke. Yurim took the sword out from his shoulder, taking Armageddon back as it too disappeared. "The demons will soon disperse." He stated at the king, watching as Ashton started to glower at him. "I am terribly sorry for all of this." He whispered, wondering what would happen next.
