High School Double Feature (Private Yujiko x Len96x)

Ren had almost reached his classroom before he heard that dreaded voice...

"Oi! Mizuno-kun!" Shigemitsu-san yelled. Ren froze right then and there. He got scared. What should he do if Shigemitsu was there to beat him up or yell at him some more? He had to appolagize before he could do any of that. He turned around, ready to face his senpai but he hesitated as he saw the brunette didn't raise his fists. What? That hesitation costed him his chance to appolagize because Shigemitsu-san had told him to meet him on the roof and had left again immediately after.

'I have something for you' was what he had said. Wait... What? Was this a good sign or a bad sign? Already one hundred and ten scenarios started to plague his mind of what could happen that lunch time on the roof. Ren feared for his life.

 

Nonetheless, when the bell signaling lunch rang, Ren made his way to the roof. He had hurt Shigemitsu-san in some way or another. Whatever punch he would get from him, he deserved it for being so reckless with his words. He reached the metal door and waited for a second longer. Maybe I'll survive this beating and I'll still be able to take pictures with one hand... He whimpered at the thought but pushed the door open anyway.

Already on the roof, Korekiyo waited. Both bentos already set out, he was awaiting Mizuno-kun's arrival. He was beginning to grow impatient until he heard the door open. His expression lighten. "Mizuno-kun! Hurry! The bentos getting cold!" He growled. The elder had chopsticks in hand as he sat on a clothe where the food also lied before him. On Mizuno-kun's bento was chopsticks, it ready to be eaten. "I made you bento. Eat it." Koekiyo demanded.

"Bento?" Ren said, raising both his eyebrows. "You made a bento... for me?" he came closer as he saw Shigemitsu-san eating his bento and another one on cloth, ready to be devoured. He sat down a few meters away from Shigemitsu and took a gander at his lunch. The way the bento was served fascinated him. How everything was symmetrical and nicely put. Even the chopsticks were put perfectly diagonal. He was afraid to ruin this perfect sight. Ren then remembered he was a master in making sights last forever.

"Is it okay if I take a picture?"

[Yujiko]

Now stuffing his face the elder looked to the younger and nodded swallowing his food," Be my guest." Even though he was glad it was pretty enough to photograph, what he really wanted we for the younger to eat his food and give him feedback. He may enjoy he food but that doesn't mean Mizuno-kun will and, that is his goal. He awaited the other to eat his food. He made sure to put extra honey teriyaki sauce in the sauce cup in the bento box, he always seemed to need more than what he put on.

After checking the picture he had taken, he stuffed his camera back down his bag and started to eat his lunch. He took some of the meat and dipped it in the sauce. What the hell?! This taste... it's brilliant! Unexplainably delicious! How was it possible for food to be this good?! All these thoughts were immediately sent to Ren's face as he expressed the deliciousness of this bento in his wide eyes. After his first bite, he started to push the rest down his throat. He finished ten minutes later. Everything except for the box was gone.

"That was so good..." he said in satisfaction and a small smile on his face.

[Yujiko]

Korekiyo was amazed at how fast Mizuno was eating his food. "So... You... Like it...?" Korekiyo was surprised, a light sheen of pink lacing his cheeks. He didn't expect it to be this easy. "I... How can you say that so easily! You're mother is such a good cook... You're just making fun of me aren't you?!" The elder growled further misunderstand Mizuno-kun. "If you don't like it just say so... Don't get my hopes up by lying to me like that! You know what! Tomorrow I am going to make something even better just to show you I'm not joke!"

"I... I'm not lying," Ren panicked. Everything was going just like yesterday! He had to do something before Shigemitsu ran off again. "I'm serious, sempai. I love it! I don't know whether it's better than my mother's cooking, if that's what you're concerned about. I can't tell which dish is better but I really like it. Honest!" He said, hoping Shigemitsu would believe him. "Please, don't leave..." he whispered.

[Yujiko]

The senpai was just about to yell until-" Please don't leave" was spoken softly by the younger. Blushing furiously, Korekiyo covered his mouth looking away, a snicker building up in his gut. Then suddenly he blurted out," You're so cute, Mizuno-kun." A smirk was on his face, and a confident one at that. It wasn't very often that he called something cute. He could of just jumped Mizuno-kun at that moment. The words and how he said it just made Korekiyo giddy. "Why shouldn't I leave... Mizuno-kun...?"

Ren's face turned tomato red when he heard his sempai saying he's cute.

"Because..." he slowly stood up but wasn't confident enough to look him in the eyes. He was, however, confident enough to say this: "Because I'd like to be friends... if that's okay with you," he quickly added.

[Yujiko]

Friends...? This boy was beat red over asking me to be friends with him? "Bahahahaha! You're so cute, Mizuno-kun." Korekiyo stood and took the other boy's hand in his shaking it. "Of course we can be friends." The elder smiled ruffling the younger's hair. He was surprised to no end at this moment in time. First the younger like his food, then he didn't want him to leave, and now he wanted to be friends? Korekiyo saw Mizuno-kun as the cutest thing he ever laid eyes on. "You're so cute, Mizuno-kun..." Smiled the elder.

Ren's face kept reddening but as Shigemitsu kept calling him cute and ruffle his hair, he started to feel comfortable aroudn his sempai. He even let out a small laugh and scratched the back of his head. He looked up at his new friend and decided that he liked his smile a lot.

He was happy. Very happy, actually, that he had made a new friend.

[Yujiko]

"Heh... You're my first friend since middle school..." Korekiyo blushed smiling. "Well... I'm still going to make food for you everyday to see how I can improve and how much I improve when I do." Korekiyo stated. He was happier and nicer- but... He was still himself... The elder sat back down and continued eating his food while drinking a soda and fiddling with his phone. "Oh! Hey! If we're friends Imma need your phone number... So what is it?"

Ren sat back down next to his friend - his stomach made jumps when he thought of that - as he took out his phone. "This one here," he passed his phone to his sempai. "You're in cooking classes, right?" He asked. "Would you like to partner up with me?"

[Yujiko]

"It would probably be best, I wouldn't want to get a bad grade because of some dimwit wanna be photographer... Not only that but I'd trust you more..." The elder spoke as he clicked the phone buttons making pinging sounds. He added his number to Mizuno-kun's phone and Mizuno-kun's to his. Once down exchanging numbers the elder passed Mizuno back his phone. "Not only but I'm sre you'd feel more comfortable working with a friend rather than a stranger. And you also know how I present my food and that it tastes good. And in this case you'd take more appealing photos. But, my only request is that you try a bit of every dish I make. You have to know how it tastes in order to get a picture that'll capture it's true beauty."

"I will," Ren felt like his day couldn't get any better as he put away his phone. He had made a new friend who constantly called him cute, a person who already trusts him and he has lunch from a brilliant cook. Also, he wasn't beaten into the hospital which is always a plus. But he also felt like he didn't need to rush everything. They just met yesterday and his sempai wasn't aware of his hyper tendencies yet so he had to stay calm for the time being... although it was very hard for him to contain his excitement which he now only held in a big smile.

[Yujiko]

The bell rang for the next period and Korekiyo's next period was Cooking. Which he obviously excelled in. Korekiyo stood gathering his things and putting his phone away. "Mizuno-kun, You can call me by my first name. It's okay. I'll see you in a few~" Korekiyo began running of and down the stairs into the school building. He darted into his cook class awaiting for the moment when he could chose his partner. He was excited about this project. But, he was kind of nervous about it as well. If Mizuno-kun and he were to be partners that means that they would have to go over one another houses...

Ren went to his photo class where everyone had to gather so they could go to the kitchen class together. When they arrived and the teachers finished the introductions, Ren went immediately towards Shigemi- sorry, Korekiyo-kun.

Korekiyo smiled at his new friend and look down a the dish he had just started on. "I'm making a Frozen Orange Tortes with Cranberry Compote... (

Ren blushed as the spoon was shoved in his face, but opened his mouth nonetheless. Again, it tasted brilliant and that was clearly visible on his face. "Mmmm... How do you do that? It's so good! Though I feel like it's missing something... I can't figure out what though..." Ren found that Korekiyo-kun's cooking was better than his mother's which he was used to but he couldn't help but feel that something his mother's cooking had, wasn't in Korekiyo-kun's dish. But he couldn't quite put his finger on it. "It doesn't matter. It tastes good anyway." He quickly added as to not to offend his new friend. He then remembered the assignment. He thought about how they could make the tortes look more appealing and from what angles he should photograph them. He should give Korekiyo-kun instructions on how to present them later but he was too shy now.

[Yujiko]

Missing something... Aye... I was thinking that too... "I was thinking that too... Anyways- I have my own dish idea for the project don't you worry about it~" Said the elder softly. He smiled for only a moment.

 

Mizuki-sensei walked over to the pair. "So is this the mystery person you were cooking for, Shigemitsu-kun?" Chimed the Sensei. Korekiyo nodded and blushed slightly," Yes, Mizuki-sensei. He's my new food tester." The Sensei pouted thinking to himself as he walked off," Awh... Now I'm just getting pushed to the side..."

Ren blushed (again) as the teacher walked off. Did Korekiyo talk about him? When? What? Why? Why? Why?! WHY?!

Back to the world where everything is calm and dandy (that is outside Ren's mind), he asked: "So... what are you planning to make?" Maybe Korekiyo can make the dish beforehand and he could decide how to photograph it... When and where were they going to do that then?

[Yujiko]

" A Vanilla Chocolate Swirl, Strawberry Cream Cake." (

) Korekiyo looked like he was enjoying himself when he described his creation.

 

"And for the project we'll go over eachother's houses- Lets go to my house first" The older smiled. He then dropped the smile and cleared his throat. "then we can go to your house then to mine, and so on and so forth. And we'll dinner at eachothers places as well."

"A Vanilla... Tornado... Strawberry... pudding what?" Ren scratched the back of his head awkwardly. He then realised what Korekiyo-kun had said. They were to go to each others house for this project. This early? Is that okay? They've known each other for 2 days so... Well... if Korekiyo-kun was okay with it then he was too.

[Yujiko]

The elder looked at the other slow growing annoyed," A Vanilla Chocolate Swirl, Strawberry Cream Cake... It's not that hard to understand..." The elder sighed with a smile.

 

"What do you recommend I should do when preparing the dessert to make it easier for you to photograph it?" Korekiyo look at the younger, comfortably. He was surprised how comfortable he was with this other male. Up until two days ago he was repulsed by everyone but himself. He hated both men and women- but, that dates back to his past.

Ren looked at the picture on the recipe while Korekiyo-kun kept baking.

"How about... if you put two strawberries on top over here, two raspberries next to them and then put three paper leaves underneath them. It would look like a rose. And maybe a few chocolates on the side. That would make my mouth water every time," he said, pointing here and there on the picture.
