If you're talking about someone specific and you would like them to, then bring it up some day. Say, "Why don't you ever call me Mihaela?" of course it's best to approach things like this carefully so it doesn't get awkward. If you don't like a nickname or something it's best to just say so. If you want something to change sometimes its better to not just sit around and wait for it. Â So, just nonchalantly ask "Why don't you ever call me Mihaela?" with a smile. As if you're really just curious and then gauge their reaction to see if its something serious or just them preferring to call you by a shorter name. Â Now if you're asking US when WE would feel comfortable enough to call someone by their full name then I cant really help you with that. As a matter of fact I call people by their full name until I'm comfortable with them and then I shorten it. Like I have friends whos names are Samantha and Alisha. I haven't called them that in a while, lately its just been Sam and Ali. So I can't really help you there D: Â On another note though I have a QUESTION too but its about the forums. Does anyone know why I can't go back to an older post and edit it even though the thread is open and everything? Can you not edit them after a certain amount of time? Because I went into the first posts of an rp of mine to edit the format of the post and I couldn't edit the older ones but I could edit the newer ones. shirotsuki Posted December 9, 2012 Share Posted December 9, 2012 well to answer that question..hmm... that's a trick one... because it depends on what everyone calls you. example: i have a friend whom everyone calls by his last name. however, his close friends call him by his first name. on the other hand i have a friend whom everyone calls by her first name. but her close friends call her by her nickname. Â so, in my opinion, when you feel like you are close enough with someone, you just feel free to call the other person by every name! first, last, full, nickname. whatever it is you call him/her you won't feel weird at all! it will be natural.
