'Aiden wake up. You must wake up' a soft urgent voice from within Aiden's head began to whisper. Aiden slowly opened his eyes groaning in pain as he did so. 'That's it Aiden there you go.' Aiden's eyes slowly adjusted to his surroundings and the first thing he realized was that he wasn't in his room any more. He wasn't even sure if he was still in his own realm. It was painfully dark and silent. 'You are right. You are not in your real but in the Nether Realm my home.' Aiden quickly turned around and standing in front of him in the darkness he was some how able to see Kitsu but something was wrong but he couldn't exactly tell what yet. 'I have taken over all of your senses. You will only see, hear, smell, taste, and touch what I want you too.'

 

Aiden tried to walk closer to his familiar but some unknown force was keeping him in place. 'I cannot let you go or the spell will be broken and you will be exposed to the true horrors of this realm. That is something I cannot allow. I will not let your soul be corrupted for my father's own amusement.' Aiden watch as a small sad smile pulled on the fox's lips. Then it hit him. The whole time he was speaking Kitsu didn't once open his eyes or referred to Aiden as 'Master' which was unheard of. Kitsu always liked to play the sadistic pet even though they were never intimate. 'You know he does care for you, you know. Not many people would try to save the life of a person who was in the process of freeing the most feared devil in their world.'

 

Suddenly, Aiden felt something pulling on his sense. He could feel a tingling sensation in the back of his mind almost as if it was calling to him. 'hmm, it seems like that half breeded Angel is finally trying to pull you back' Kitsu smiled still not opening his eyes. Aiden's eyes widen as he realized why he was being allowed to be pulled back to his own realm. He finally found his voice as he felt the pull being stronger and pulling him further away from Kitsu, 'you idiot what did you give up? What did you promise that bastard?' Kitsu didn't answer instead he just stood there with close eyes. Aiden could have sworn that he saw a single tear roll down the fox's porcelean cheeks.

 

Aiden felt a sudden throbbing in his head for a split second before leaving as fast as it came. Once his head was finally cleared with only a slight humming, Aiden noticed something warm and soft pressing against his lips. He opened his eyes slowly and was met with closed eyes behind brown bangs. He stiffened slightly but calmed he felt the familiar hum of magic that could only belong to His Angel. Closing his eyes he kissed back needfully, he was suddenly happy tired but happy none the less. His Angel didn't abandon him not like the others not like HE did. Aiden sighed as he reluctantly pulled away from the kiss and leaned his head against the other's while locking their gaze. He knew his eyes were still that of Lucifer's but they would turn back to normal sooner or later they always did. He smiled at the shorter male tiredly, "you came back for me. Thank you." He pecked the other on the lips before bringing Johnathon into his arms gratefully. He lifted his head looking around the room as he felt someone watching them. He spotted a wolf and quickly stiffened until he saw that the wolf was white not black and didn't have a mark on his head. He placed his head on top of His Angel's relaxing a bit in their embrace before his head shot up with widen eyes. He looked down at the man in his arms with pure fear in his eyes, an emotion that Aiden rarely to never shows, "where is Kitsu? I must get too him and now. He is in grave danger."

At first when John kissed Aiden, he felt this strange feeling growing inside him, but it wasn't fear or something like that, it was something else, something more warmer then his magical power, and not danger, his hands was a bit burned as part of his face but he didn't really care about that, because he could feel how Aiden is responding to his kiss, and beside that the flames which was surrounding him start slowly to disappear as then he heard his partner says:

 

"You came back for me. Thank you."

 

At first John chuckle softly as then he looked to the side "Of course I will, I am your partner right?" he would mumble to the other as he would then sigh softly and gulp the second thing which came on Aiden mind was this fox, which almost teared his throat... but he didn't want to say anything about it, he would never make someone to hate someone else just for his sake, John was rather a person who would gladly sacrifice himself for someone's else goodness, as then the wolf would wrap around John's legs and lift up a bit his mug, and let out soft worry sound as John would look at his wolf and shake a bit his head signing for the wolf to don't let out so obvious noises.

 

"He is back at my room, you will find it easily... just across the street... in the other hotel... from the one in which we first were." this will be the only thing which he would say as then he would turn around and start walking away without saying anything more, his wolf will go after him and keep looking up at John's face, his half face was in shadow so you couldn't really say what kind of look he had on his face, but he knew one thing for sure, and this thing was that Aiden have to get to his familiar and help him.

 

It didn't take much for John to reach up the near forest, as he would climb up on one of the high trees, his wolf will follow him and get on the branch next to John and lie down, to can John fondle his fur, John would smile a bit as the wolf nose would reach up for John's cheek and lick it gently, up almost to his eye as John would chuckle a bit but then he would go back in silent, the wolf would let out another sign of worriness but thank god that there was no one else around, the sky would start clearly from the early crash, the dark clouds would slowly start getting smaller and smaller and turning into their usual color, first white then into deep light sky blue color.

Aiden nodded his thanks before running out the room. He ignored all the people on his why out of the hotel knowing that they wouldn't remember anything that happened during his 'episode'. It would be nothing but a dream to them almost as if they dazed out for a few minutes. Aiden entered Johnathon's hotel and he suddenly caught on to faint traces of Kitsu's aura that was quickly dispersing. He followed it to a room that he could only assume was Johnathon's. He opened the door eyes widening at what he saw.

 

Kitsu's tails were slightly withered. His hair looked stringy and wet. The once beautiful caramel flesh was pale and sickly. Cut, bruises, and blood covered the once flawless skin. Aiden walked closer and knelt beside his friend. Aiden took the injured fox into his arms holding onto him. Kitsu's eyelashes fluttered before opening revealing dull dirty brown irises instead of the usual bright playful orange orbs that Aiden was use to. A weak tired smile made its way to the fox's lips, "I was starting to worry that you weren't coming. I'm glad you did though." Kitsu closed his eyes briefly taking in a ragged breath. "You should go to him. He's waiting for you in the forest in the highest tree in the top." Kitsu reached forward touching Aiden's cheek gently as he struggled to keep his eyes opened, "don't be sad my fiery kit. I don't regret anything that I had to do to keep you safe including this. I would happily do it again if it meant having you as my master and friend."

 

Aiden's eyes widen as he felt Kitsu's breathing stop. Slowly, he saw parts of the fox's body turn into ash and disappear before his very eyes. Aiden cling to the other's body until the very last moment. There was a soft clink that made the teen look for the source of the sound. Next to the pile of ashes that once was Kitsu was a red collar with diamonds and an emerald jewel placed directly in the center that the fox made Aiden buy years ago. Aiden reached out and picked up the collar pulling it closely to his chest. Reluctantly, he stood up with collar in hand and began to head towards the forest just like his late fox had suggested.

 

Once he reached the designated tree, he used on of his control over fire to transport him to the top of the tree to sit next to the other magician. Aiden was silent for a few minutes as he tried to digest what just transpired. He clenched the collar in his hand tightly, "Kitsu is gone." He didn't look at the other. He couldn't. Aiden blamed himself for his only friend's death. "Ever since he came into my life when I was just starting out as a mercenary, he always took care of me. He was the only person I ever trusted. He protected me no matter what the consequences would be for him." There were tears stinging his eyes as he spoke softly while reminiscing his time with the childish familiar.

 

"When I first was brought in by my 'grandfather', many of the older mercenaries didn't appreciate that a mere child was out doing them. They wanted to . . . wanted to break me the only way that a person could be broken and never truly be fixed again, " Aiden let out a shaky breath as he tried to calm himself. "One night I was walking the halls trying to find Kitsu to see if he would help with my training again when I heard pained screams coming from on of the room. My curiosity got the better of me and I peaked through the door just to find Kitsu disguised as me being pinned down and forced to . . ." Aiden gritted his teeth as he balled his fist. He couldn't make himself say it but he knew that as well was his fault. "Because I was to stupid to realize how the real world work, I made him promise me that he wouldn't hurt a human when I made a contract with him. So, when he was going through THAT the contract rendered him powerless to do anything. There were many times he would come to me covered with bruises and cuts for where he was disguised as me and was jumped by the others and forced to pleasure them one way or another."

 

Aiden gave a humorless laugh, "Even after everything that he forced himself to go through, he would always laugh and have some type of sarcastic remark to throw like nothing ever happened. Not ONCE did Kitsu blame me for those things or say he hated me. Even when he was dying in my arms, Kitsu said that he would do it all over if it meant that I was safe." Silent tear ran down Aiden's cheeks as he continued but didn't wipe them away or even acknowledge them. "Out of all the years, we have been together he only asked me for one thing. One simple thing and I couldn't even do that. I was too weak then and I was too weak now to protect him. I could never do anything for him without him coming to my aide. The less I could have done was grant his wish but I was to stubborn and paranoid to do it but he never complained and never brought it up again. I just wish I could have done that much for him before I lost him entirely."

 

Aiden stayed in silence for a few minutes before turning his head towards the other with a determined look clutching Kitsu's collar again, "you were wrong you know. Kitsu wasn't just some pet or tool I used for my own personal needs. We were close but we weren't that close. Plus, I would have never used him like that. Kitsu was more than that to me. He was my friend, my mentor, my protector. Kitsu was the only one that I ever trusted to put my entire life and soul in his very hands without having to worry about him betraying me." With that said, Aiden lapsed back into silence looking back ahead at the darkening sky as he felt the power of the tattoo that was usually covered by the bandages on his left hand disappear. He knew what it meant. It meant that whatever contract that he and Kitsu made all those years ago no longer stood and the possibility of ever seeing the fox again was slim to none.

John at first won't say anything as his partner spoke, but then out of nothing he would slap his partner cheek lightly as he would stand up "Don't speak for him like he is gone, Kitsu is a demon from high level, or I think so, most of the people call them the hell hunts, those hunts are creatures which gather souls, if I am not mistaken Kitsu had a lot of power and long history... he can be brought back, but just materialize in the hell realm, however it will take months for him to regain his powers, strength and life... do you want your friend to come back, and are you ready to do everything for him to come back?" John would simply say looking at his partner, he knew that probably his first questions will be 'How?' and then he will say that he will do everything so he would stand up as his wolf will stand up as well.

 

"But I have to tell you, that if you do this once, there is no coming back for Kitsu into hell realm, he will be in another realm." he would say looking down at his wolf, which would start losing his flesh, slowly turning into a ghost or something like that, just the white smoke would start spreading out of his body and slowly connecting with the nature...

 

"Kitsu, can be brought back, if he is agree to become a celestial being, or aka spiritual animal, everyone of us have one, for example Nemo is my spiritual animal, some people practice such magic, giving their spiritual animal a flesh and bones, which gets enchanted with power and the creature become fiery weapon and shield for his master... however Kitsu won't have his human form anymore at least not at first it will take probably a month or so, of gathering power to can he change his spiritual form into human one and more then a year to can he materialize it, to can you materialize it, I came here because I knew that Kitsu won't survive this... he was really bad hurt when I left my room and I could see how his life was slipping away... however he lost only his physical form his soul is still out there somewhere.. and the only place on which where you can perform such ritual is in the heart of this forest... but the problem is that the forest is heavily guarded by creatures, more fierce then nightmares... the problems is that those nightmares are real... and they can kill you without problem... till now only one human have succeed in going there for the past 100 years... and survive through the many tests through which the realm of the spirits puts you through..." with those words John's pet would slowly start change his form, into a human one, it seems that the form was taking a form of a male, in his 20's taller with few cm more then John and with 1 or 2 cm smaller then Aiden.

 

"This is a very important person to me, his name is James... it won't be bad to introduce you to each other... in his human form I am calling him Brother or James in his wolf form I always call him Nemesis or Nemo... he is my spiritual animal, and my guardian angel... as well and my first partner in Fairy Tail... or should I just tell you that he is my bigger brother who lost his life 10 years ago... when we just had 1 year or so since we joined in Fairy Tail, he really fast got to the S-Rank... and he worked really hard but then one day when he was on an SSS-Rank mission... he didn't survive... and was killed in front my eyes... he is the only person beside you, on who I trust, and worry about... but I had to put my life on the line to bring him back, once we get there you will be asked to put on the line your dearest thing in your life... you will have to put this thing on the line to can you bring your friend Kitsu back to life and have him as your guardian and your spiritual animal... my question is are you ready to put your life on the line?" he would say this with way more serious voice then before as James would look with even more serious look over Aiden.

"I would do absolutely anything to get Kitsu back but there is only one problem with that," Aiden said sadly as he ignored the stinging on his cheek while looking at the two other males. He didn't want to tell this but he thought that they both had to know especially if it would affect the process of bringing back Kitsu. "I told you before that I was betrayed but there was more than betrayal that day. I loved him but he was only using me for my powers that at the time I didn't know about and when I did found out it was already too late."

 

Aiden just hoped that he wouldn't lose Johnathon once he found out the truth about him. "I was tricked to do the unthinkable and in the process I had to give up something I once could call my own. He told me that if we could find a way to close the gates to the Nether World then peace would fall our land. He said that we would no longer have to watch as those around us die because of famine or brutal murders and that the two of us would be allowed to stay together." Aiden gave a humorless laugh as he diverted his eyes from the other two, "I was so desperate to not be alone any more and finally know what he felt like to be needed and wanted for more than a weapon that I agreed with him without a second thought. That was the first day that I ever did something magic related that I didn't ask Kitsu about and I regret that I didn't even now."

 

"On that day we began the ceremony to close the gates. Everything was going fine until he binned me and started to chant a dark sacrificial magic spell," Aiden sighed as he removed his red hooded jacket. "He thought that he could use me to control Lucifer, Kitsu, and his older brother but what he didn't know was that I already had the blood of a devil running inside me so his plot to use Lucifer to control all of the magical world was pointless. Unlike other's those of Lucifer's decent can choose their 'Masters' instead of the other way around. They usually decide who their 'Master' is by their magical current and other requirements that would lead to the perfect vessel. Unfortunately for me, Lucifer saw me as his perfect vessel. Only by retaining the body of a human can he walk this world without the seals rejecting him."

 

Dark black and purple markings began to appear on Aiden's body just as ghostly chains started to wrap themselves around the boy, "the process of being marked by Lucifer is a slow and painful one that drives majority of humans insane. Lucifer first rebuilds the body by tearing it shreds and allowing it reform on its own. If the person survives then they must go through the procedure of having Lucifer's markings burned into their flesh. Finally, the chosen one's soul is slowly extracted from its body before being thrown in the mix of raging torture souls that was once Lucifer's victims as well." Aiden shivered slightly at the memory as the chains tightened around him. "The worst part in my decision are the chains. They are to bind a person to a certain human sin. The one Lucifer picked for me is that of wrath. Whenever someone one is brutally killed by another out of anger, I am forced to see every second of the murder and recount the victim's pain while another link is added to my chain weighing my soul down with each new link. It got so bad that Kitsu had to revert it into a source to aide my powers or slowly watch me lose my sanity but doing so came with a price. That price was a huge chunk of the northern lands of the Pergrande Kingdom which took the lives of over three million people including that bastard who tried to sacrifice me leaving their lands as nothing more but a wasteland till this very day even though all of this happened seven years ago. "

 

"They might not look like much but these chains are the only thing that is connecting my soul to my body." Aiden pulled at said chain only for it to wrap around his wrist like a serpent. "You see I have lost my soul years ago on that day. This body is only a empty shell of what I once was. It goes through the motions of what I would do if I had a soul but that is it. My actual soul is somewhere hidden where only Lucifer himself knows." Aiden looked up with hopeful yet defeated eyes at the other two males, "I want to know the truth. Can Kitsu be saved by a person who is technically already dead? I have no soul to kill there for I can not give that as a bargaining chip. So please tell me what is worth more than soul. I will be willing to give it up if it meant that Kitsu would no longer be tortured or tormented by that monster he calls a Father."

John would look at first at the chains and the mark, for Aiden's luck John knew a lot about magic rituals, and stuff like that "We will take care for those chains after we bring back Kitsu and Finish the S-Rank quest... but listen carefully it won't be pleasurable, it will hurt a lot and it will take us to a place where I am not even sure that we can survive, but right now we need to bring back Kitsu and we have less then a three days to do so, we have to hurry if we want to get him back, such magic always come with a price, and for now the price is that the time is not on our side." he would as his Spiritual animal would start turning back into wolf, and flesh would start form, materialize again, but then he heard one more troubling:

 

"You see I have lost my soul years ago on that day. This body is only a empty shell of what I once was. It goes through the motions of what I would do if I had a soul but that is it. My actual soul is somewhere hidden where only Lucifer himself knows."

 

At those words John would at first go silence, and start rubbing gently his chin thinking for way out of this then he will remember something and sigh softly.

 

"I want to know the truth. Can Kitsu be saved by a person who is technically already dead? I have no soul to kill there for I can not give that as a bargaining chip. So please tell me what is worth more than soul. I will be willing to give it up if it meant that Kitsu would no longer be tortured or tormented by that monster he calls a Father."

 

"He can be safe, but then the price will be something else, well we won't find out if we stay here will we? We have to go, we are running out of time..." he would but this time there was something strange in his voice, it's not like there is no way but there was something else, like he knew what will be the price, but he didn't want to worry Aiden right now with it, John would jump down from the top of the three, landing swiftly on the ground without any harms with the help of the winds as Nemo would right away goes back closely to John and start walking forward before his master, John would smile as he would look up for Aiden.

 

"Come on, slow ass, let's go and bring back your pet." he would teasingly and grin a bit, waiting for the other to come down, there was something strange this time in his grin, it was like it was coming for real from John's inside, he was happy to have Aiden as his partner, he was making John to feel special, he makes John feel love, and protected, he never even though that he could feel so safe with someone, other then his wolf, it was so strange.

Aiden snorted at the mention of pain. He knew that nothing could compare to the extraction of his soul. He also wasn't afraid of dying actually sometimes he wished he did whenever there was a link added to his ever growing chain but he would never admit that to Johnathon. Aiden nodded in determination when the subject of bringing back Kitsu was pushed. He had no doubt in his mind that they would make the deadline. He just worried that Kitsu would forget him during the process and everything that happened between them would be lost to the fox. He shook his head. If that ever happened, Aiden was going to make sure that he was there to help his fox remember.

 

"He can be safe, but then the price will be something else, well we won't find out if we stay here will we?"

 

Aiden tilted his head a bit. He could see that the other was trying to avoid telling him something but he didn't call Johnathon out on it. If his Angel wasn't telling, then there must be a good reason to it. Aiden would trust the brunette and his decisions on the matter, especially since Johnathon had no connection with Kitsu therefore didn't really have a reason to bring the fox back. But Aiden knew that Johnathon was doing so just to make Aiden happy and he appreciated it greatly.

 

Frowning, Aiden transported from the tree with his jacket and Kitsu's collar in hand just to reappear right in front of the other magician. He did not appreciate the 'slow' comment or the one about his fox being a 'pet'. He was about to remark before his saw the playful look on his Angel's face. Aiden smirked pulling on his jacket as the markings and chains disappeared without a trace. Suddenly, Aiden grabbed the back of Johnathon's neck pulling the other male closer until their lips crashed together. Aiden poured all his love and care into the kiss as he forced his tongue pass the shorter male's soft lips. Aiden wasn't sure where the urge came from but at that moment he felt the need to protect the smaller man, embrace him and never let him go, to keep Johnathon by his side no matter what happened.

 

"You have done so much for me, my Little Angel." Aiden sucked on Johnathon's lower lip before turning his attention to the older male's neck while pulling the other's cloak out of the way slightly so he could get better access to it. "And I have yet to thank you properly. When this is all done and we have returned to Magnolia, I will make sure that you get your just rewards . . . Pet," Aiden lowered his voice to a deep seductive tone as he continued to lick and suck at his Angel's creamy white skin. He stood up shortly after and admired the beauriful red mark that stood out perfectly against the other's skin. Aiden placed a soft passionate kiss before taking Johnathon's hand smiling lovingly, "shall we go go?" With that said he began walking behind the white wolf still holding Johnathon's hand.

When John felt how Aiden clashed their lips and pushed his tongue deep inside his mouth, he would blush deeply feeling the soft meat inside his mouth, the taste was quite strange but it was really sweat, which make John to blush even more and suck a bit on the other male's tongue feeling him so deep inside his mouth he would keep blushing as then the kiss was cut off.

 

"You have done so much for me, my Little Angel."

 

When he heard that he would blush a bit, but then he would smile looking at the other, as he would wrap his arms around the other male's waist hugging him back as tight as he did, and cuddling into the other protective hug, but then something darken in front his eyes when he heard the other saying this:

 

"And I have yet to thank you properly. When this is all done and we have returned to Magnolia, I will make sure that you get your just rewards . . . Pet."

 

A soft lightnings threads would spread around him and electrified the other as he would frown a bit "I am not your pet, don't threat me like that..." he would mumble as he would frown a bit more, he have to admit that he really liked the protective and possessive side of his partner, like Johnathon was just his, but he really hates it when someone calls him pet or acting with him as a pet, he could stand almost everything else but not to call someone master or being to someone pet, the sky would dark a bit as a soundless growling lightning would spread it's sounds around the place, and the wolf would start growling as well.

 

"So, digged in your head, don't you ever think that I am your pet or something like that, and I will definitely not going to allow it..." he would mumble now a bit angry at his partner, as he would approach his wolf, and they would continue walking forward "Now keep up, and make sure you don't stay behind..." he would reach up with one of his hands up to his neck, where his partner mark him as he would blush deeper walking forward in silence, he kinda liked that, he just didn't liked the other to take him and call him as a pet.

Aiden backed up a bit frowning that the other actually tried to electrocute him. Though Aiden knew that it would have been nothing more than a slight irritating tingle. Then something in Aiden snapped when he heard that his Angel wouldn't be his Pet. Aiden ignored the warning growls from Nemo and the sky above as he caught up with Johnathon. Aiden grabbed the other roughly by his wrist and spun him around so Johnathon was once again facing Aiden. Aiden gave an uncharacteristic demonic growl as his eyes turned into a melted silvery grey, "you are a feisty, controlling, sarcastic little bitch and I absolutely love that. I know that you stand on your own two feet and there are certain things that pisses you off. But know this," Aiden tighten his grip on the shorter male looking him directly in the eyes with a serious dominating expression, "you are MINE. No one is allowed to have you. You are MY pet. I am the only one who is allowed to make claim to you. I will not let you deny it or allow another to take you from me." Aiden nearly raored the last part.

 

Aiden was breathing heavily from his out burst when his eyes suddenly changed. The once grey eyes were now a flaming dark violet. He suddenly seemed relaxed and calmed much different than his previous self. Aiden looked at Johnathon with a bored lazy expression a blonde eyebrow raised, "you really are an idiot, aren't you Human?" Even the voice was different. It held a slight lazy drawl seeming uninterested in the conversation it started. Whoever was controlling the body, it certainly wasn't Aiden but it wasn't neither Kitsu or Lucifer either. This voice was defiantly new. "You're taking this 'Pet' thing all out of proportion. He isn't trying to control you but it's more of a form of respect," the possessed Aiden yawned. "Well it is amongst those of the Nether Realm anyway. You see Aiden seeing you as a 'Pet' is saying that he sees you as a equal of sorts. A 'Pet' in Nether Realm is equivalent to boyfriends/girlfriends to you humans. You should be happy that he respects you enough as a person to start you off as one because there are a few statuses below 'Pet' that I'm sure you would never want to become. If things work out for you, you'll get the status of being his 'Mate' which is rarely reached. It's like your marriage but it means and symbolizes a hell of a lot more than some paper and half-assed vows." The possessed Aiden just stared at Johnathon for a few minutes when he stopped talking. It almost seemed that he was sleeping with his eyes open until finally he blinked as if doing the action alone was a troublesome. "Oh and about the whole 'bitch' thing, don't take it to heart Aiden's more dominant side is just coming forward. A 'bitch' is just the submissive one whether it is female or male, it's more or less used like a pet name just like Aiden calls you Angel. By the way, thanks for saving the kid." With a lazy wave and small smile, Aiden's eyes turned back into their normal pearly white orbs.

Aiden blinked a few times, "that was weird almost felt like I blacked out there for a few minutes." Aiden noticed that he was once again holding onto Johnathon's wrist that looked angrily reddened. He didn't remember grabbing onto the older male but a part of him told him to apologize."Sorry," he pulled the wrist to his lips kissing the flesh gently. "So what were you saying? Why'd we stop?" John would sigh softly and shake a bit his head "You are really trouble some... and big pain in the ass... we need to take off those chains soon, or there won't be much left of you..." he would say a bit serious the last part as he would take his wrist free "And don't ever claim me as your pet, in the other realm might mean something different but boyfriend or girlfriend, is the word for here! Not 'pet.' Try to learn this." he would say with light growl which left his lips as he would continue walk, for the next meters the wolf would suddenly stop as John would stop as well.

 

"Okay this is as far as I can take you, from here now on, you must continue yourself... just few meters forward is the place where you will meet him." he would say quite mysteriously the word 'him' even John didn't knew who he was, or what he was, or which one he was, all he knew is that he can bring back souls from the other side into spiritual form, which can evolute in higher ranks to the point of materializing, which means turning into flesh and bones, first as animal then as human... even John himself haven't manage to approach the last part where he is suppose to materialize his brother in his human form.

 

"Remember my words, once you pass through this shield, you will find yourself in entirely different place, whatever you see there, or smell or feel like you are attract to it, don't take it or touch it... or your soul might stay there forever... I will wait for you two hours, the time behind this barrier is different 10 min there is 1 hour here... the time there goes faster so you have around 20 min which will be 2 hours here... if I am not here means that I've continue to my quest on my own... here." he would say pulling out from his pocket a paper with his quest, which he will give to Aiden "Here is the whole information which you need to find me, so if you want me to leave with you, make sure you don't waste more then 20 min there... if you have troubles finding me... call out loudly Nemesis up to the sky, my wolf will appear beside you and lead you to me..." he would say as he would sigh and take the spot near a tree, but then he would not last much, and stand up.

 

"Or, you know what... I will come with you, to make sure you don't do some foolish actions." he would say as he would sigh softly and look at his wolf, which will start spread as air around the place and then starts wrapping around John, making his eyes to glow in bright white color, as he would then step forward and pass through the barrier.

'. . . Other Realm? . . .boyfriends? . . . girlfriends?' Aiden had absolutely no idea what Johnathon was talking about but the pissed expression that the other male was giving him, he wasn't sure he wanted to know. Aiden decided that he would ask Johnathon about it later as he walked beside the man. Occasionally, Aiden would look out the corner of his eye at the person walking beside him.He wasn't sure why but Aiden fond himself stumped on the whole girlfriend part of that conversation 'I'm sure he didn't mean anything by it. Johnathon is a hundred perscent male . . . . unless.' Aiden gave Johnathon scrutinizing one over from the corner of his eye before shaking his head stubbornly.'Johnathon is defiantly a HIM. He was just probably trying to make a point . . . which I obviously didn't get.' Aiden sighed frowning slightly as he stuffed his hands in his leather pants pockets.

 

Aiden could sense the barrier that Johnathon was referring to once they had stopped and the other was informing him of the dos and don'ts of what was beyond said barrier. At first Aiden thought that the brunette was talking about Nether Realm but he quickly dismissed that because the time in Nether Realm moved quickly. One hour their actually only equaled about minutes in their world; to prolong a souls torture Aiden believed. Aiden just looked at the paper Johnathon tried to give him and shook his head. He wasn't planning on staying in that place that long. He was going to do what he must and quickly get back to his Angel's side.

 

Aiden sighed in a soft relief when he heard that Johnathon was coming with him. He didn't want to do something and wind up stuck in the unknown place. At lest now he would have his Angel there to help guide him along. Aiden watched intently as he saw the wolf disappear and wrapped around Johnathon like a cloak as the other passed through the shield.

 

Aiden followed close behind never noticing the contract on his right hand shining through his bandaged arm from under his jacket as he came into direct contact with the shield.

When the two males passed through the shield, on the other side of the barrier the place their was demolished, there was burning lava lurking around as in the middle of volcano, few dark shadows flying around few of them even tried to attack first John, but the cloak seems like it was protecting them, pushing them backward electrocute them, then they will aim for the other male but the cloak will create lightning shouting it at the creature which tried to attack Aiden completely destroying and burning the shadow down, as then the cloak would land down on the ground John, which now was walking it won't take them much, just 10 min or so till they get to the point but here was coming the strange part.

 

As the burning heart of the vulcano was surrounding them this certain part, was fulfill with flowers and green colors, like they suddenly entered in another entirely different place then something like a smoke would start forming a figure, the interesting think was that this figure was Kitsu human form, which was looking down at Aiden, his formal master but then when John noticed that Aiden start walking fast towards Kitsu, he would stand in front him and raise his hand, shaking a bit his head.

 

"This is not Kitsu, this is the creature taking the form of the person or the soul which you want to bring back, be very careful, this place is fulfill with many strange things." he would say as he would then to the side allowing to Aiden to continue towards the creature.

 

"Who dare to interrupt thee in his deep world of trees?" the creature was talking with a very old voice, like it had a little echo but the voice seemed so wise, and deep. It was really strange feeling to hear it, like the voice was entering in you, right and directly towards your heart.

Aiden stayed close to Johnathon not wanting to get separated from the other male. He looked around taking in his surrounds as they continued forward. This place reminded him a little of what Kitsu informed him Nether Realm was except for the lack of screams . . . and blood . . . and most importantly tortured souls. Yeah, this place was defiantly no go in the torture department. It still had creepy floating shadows but nothing to really worry about. Aiden watched as said shadows would try and attack them just to get repealed by Johnathon's cloak. He didn't know how Johnathon was doing it but he didn't ask. He didn't want to waste time with pointless questions when they still haven't found Kitsu's soul yet.

 

Suddenly, in the midst of flowers stood none other than said fox. Aiden couldn't believe he was seeing his old friend fine and well again when the last time he saw Kistu the fox was in a pile of ash in Johnathon's hotel room. Aiden quickly began to head towards Kitsu just to be stopped by Johnathon. Aiden glared at the other magician. They came this far he was not going to let whatever issues Johnathon had with Kitsu stop Aiden from regaining Kitsu's soul. Aiden was about to speak when Johnathon beat him to it.

 

"This is not Kitsu, this is the creature taking the form of the person or the soul which you want to bring back, be very careful, this place is fulfill with many strange things."

 

Whatever anger Aiden had towards the shorter male quickly vanished as he heard the warning. Nodding his head, Aiden walked passed Johnathon placing a reassuring hand on the other's shoulder. As Aiden got closer, he could tell a few things were off with 'Kitsu'. The first and most obvious was that Kitsu's eyes were naturally bright and always held a hint of playfulness but now they were dull and dead with no emotion passing through them whatsoever. Next he realized that the gold upper arm bracelets no longer adorn the fox's skin. Which Aiden knew was impossible since the bracelets were literally apart of Kitsu's skin from some earlier contract the fox said he had made years ago. He was never told the exact details but Aiden didn't have to guess that the contract had something to do with Lucifer one way or another. Finally, Kitsu looked more like a corpse than anything else. His hair was thin and stringy while his once perfect skin was slightly discolored and sunken in some places. Now that he was up close. Aiden could easily pick out small things that just wasn't his fox which made him frown. If the impostor is here, where was the real Kitsu? Aiden was broken from his thoughts by a older and deeper voice that came from fake Kitsu's lips.

 

"Who dare to interrupt thee in his deep world of trees?"

 

Aiden took a step closer to the creature before bowing slightly in respect, "My name is Aiden Carver, The Demon of Chaos and Death and fromerly known as . . . The Grimm Reaper." Aiden knew he was taking a chance with reverting by to his alias of his old guild. That name alone had taken more lives than any war or disease known to man. He had once took great pride in it along with all that came with it. There was a large bounty on his head that he never told Maracov about and if Aiden was lucky he never would have to. His main concern at the moment was hoping that His Angel didn't know the meaning behind the name or the true events that lead up to him being called grim reaper. "I have come here to bargain with you for in return of the soul of whose body that you now imitate. Kitsu,The Collector, the bringer of destruction and hate and the youngest son of Lucifer, the ruler of Nether Realm."

"Do thee, understand for what he ask of old me? To bring a creature of chaos and destruction, back into the human world. I can do it, but everything have a price. Do you have one in mind, because I do." the old creature would say moving closer to Aiden, leaning forward to whisper something in his ear, may be the price which he wanted in return.

 

"Thee, will return this precious creature back here in the world, if you give the person who holds your heart." he would whisper to Aiden's ear with lurking voice, looking with creepy grin over John, as John would look questioningly at the creature, he seems even more creeper then Kitsu and he didn't like that.

 

"Are you ready, to give the most valuable thing in your whole life to bring this important person to you." the creature would say as even creeper smirk would appear over his lips, John would look to the side, he could see that the others was talking but he couldn't hear anything, he didn't knew for what they were talking, but it wasn't really in his business, he would feel how a strange pain wraps around his body, he could say that his spiritual animal cloak getting weaker and soon he will be defenseless and the shadows will definitely attack him, seems like they had quite a lot of fun tearing bit by bit from John's strength, but he will not give up and stand up, releasing even more magical power to can he give stronger strength on his shield, as he would then go inside the forest, the creature would look at him but he will say nothing, he could hear only how it was talking.

 

"So are you ready to give the most precious thing for you, to bring back something else which is important for you?" the creature would say looking at John, which realized right away what was the price, the price was John himself for Kitsu, John would gulp softly, as he would look at Aiden, from the left side of Aiden was Johnathon who was waiting for Aiden's decision from the other side was the real soul of Kitsu, which didn't knew what was going on, but he could definitely recognize Aiden, John and the Creature.

Aiden's eyes widen as he heard what he had to give. His entire body felt like he was just dunked into a frozen lake.'I can get Kitsu back just at the price of my Angel's own life.' Aiden didn't like that arrangement one bit but what else could he give. The only reason Kitsu was in that place was because he had selflessly sacrificed his own life to protect Aiden. Aiden could feel tears stinging his eyes. He was about to make the hardest decision in his life and there was no going back once it was made. Do he sell his Angel's soul for Kitsu or do he turn his back on the fox leaving Kitsu behind without ever looking back?

 

Aiden looked to his left to see Johnathon standing a few feet away with a worried expression on his face. Aiden watched the other intensely as he tried to memorize all of Johnathon's features. All Aiden wanted was to scream at the other male and ask him why did he bring Aiden there knowing that Aiden didn't have the proper bargaining chip but he didn't because Aiden already knew the answer. The reason why Johnathon was doing this was because he knew how important Kitsu was to Aiden. He gave the other magician a sorrowful longing gaze before turning said gaze to the fox that was patiently wanting to find out why they were there.

 

Once Aiden's eyes fell on him, Kitsu understood right then what was probably said. He knew that his young charge didn't have a soul to give up so the only next best thing was to give up a soul of equal importance but Kistu knew that he can't bargain since technically he was dead so that only left one living soul . . . Johnathon. Kitsu closed his eyes. Could he really take away Aiden's chance of knowing another's touch and love for his own selfish wants? Kitsu dropped his head. He knew the answer to that. Though Johnathon was a pain in the ass at times with his 'mighty than thou' attitude, Kitsu couldn't ask or want the boy to give his life for his own. Besides what was the purpose of bringing back on love one just so you can sentence another to death. Kitsue shook his head before lifted it to lock gazes with Aiden. Smiling sadly, Kitsu took a few steps back knowing that that was the only way for him to communicate with the other. He knew Aiden didn't want to decide or more importantly couldn't decide between them so he would do it for his former charge instead. Kitsu had made his decision and just like the rest of his decisions that he had made containing Aiden's life he would not allow himself to regret it.

 

Aiden closed his eyes tightly forcing the tears back when he saw the knowing look in Kitsu's eyes. He could see the fox contemplating on what he deemed best for Aiden. He wasn't surprised when he saw Kitsu take those steps from him but it didn't mean that it hurt any less. He knew that Kitsu didn't want him to choose so he chose for Aiden trying to make it easier. Aiden returned the smile with a miserable one of his own. "I'm sorry," he whispered to his fox who only nodded in understanding.

 

Aiden turned back to the fake Kitsu with a harden expression," I have made my decision. I will not accept your offer. You are right Johnathon does hold my heart but so does Kistu. I won't save one just so I have to watch the other die." Aiden took a deep unsteady breath, "I don't think I could handle it if one of them died in my arms again." Aiden's eyes narrowed as they began to glow a dark violet with a determined look, "but don't think that this is the last you have seen of me. Mark my words I will get Kitsu back even if I have to summon Lucifer himself. So keep that in mind because One day no matter how long it takes Kitsu will return to my side and I will not hesitate to kill you and everything here for that to happen."

Johnathon eyes would widen as he would rush to Aiden and stand in front of him between Aiden and the spirit as he would push backward Aiden "Don't go crazy now, the deal is a deal... but I never said that it have to be fulfill did I?" John would say as he would look at the creature and tighten up his fist.

 

"My life is my own, and I decide what to do with it... not you Aiden, I am sorry." he would say as he would turn once more to the creature and his eyebrows would narrow in calming down look "We accept your offer, you can have my soul but you have to bring back Kitsu, if I remember corectly you take just small part of the soul... making the life time more shorter... but if we make this deal I will make another one, once my time comes I want you to returned it and have the soul which you've gave to me back, this way we all stay alive however I will lose my brother completely. I know what will be the price for bringing Kitsu back to life so I and my brother talk, he is agree to wait for me on the other side once my time come, do you accept this deal?" John would say standing with quite big courage in front the creature, as he would sub himself into thoughts but then he would nod.

 

"I've never made such big deal, and I will probably remembered it as long as I exist, but the deal is good and I accept it, very well I will bring the fox boy back to life, but don't forget the price young magician." the creature would say as he would move backward to the waterfall which was behind the creature, and pure white light will start glow very blinding through the whole area, and when the light disappeared John, Aiden, Kitsu as a spiritual animal (fox) and John's wolf will appear in the middle of the forest far far away from the place where they were before, but then John won't manage to keep his mind strong and faint down to the ground unconsciousness, a big amount of magic his life was taken from him so there was no way for him to keep his eyes open or in consciousness so he lost it, his wolf would go to him and lean forward licking gently John's pale face, he was still alive just he was quite tired, but the deal which he made was really good one, but for John he will need few days to come back to consciousness and regain most of his energy, for now he was just lying down on the ground hopeless.

Aiden watched in horror at what he heard. He could feel something nagging at the back of his skull telling him to allow the exchange . . . for now. Aiden bit down on the inside of his cheek until he could taste the metallic taste of blood in his mouth. He didn't know why but Aiden listened to that unknown feeling and allowed Johnathon to not only give up his own soul but also the soul of his brother. He stood there as a light surrounded his Angel before quickly disappearing to revealed Johnathon, an unconscious fox, and Nemo. Aiden walked towards them and picked up the small fox kit and smiled lightly, "welcome back Kitsu." The fox in his arms gave off a small whimper before snuggling closer to the warmth of Aiden's chest.

 

Aiden gave off a small gasp when he saw his Angel falling. Quickly he reached out grabbing the now unconscious magician. He shifted the two more comfortable in his arms before looking back at the white wolf, "come on you we need to get these two back so the can rest." Nemo watched with wary eyes as he came closer. Aiden rolled his eyes at seeing that the celestial creature was still suspicious of him as he enveloped them in a wall of flame transporting them into Aiden's hotel room. Aiden gently rearranged Johnathon and Kitsu as comfortable as possible on the bed before he left to arrange for a longer stay with the hotel.

It's been four days since Johnathon lost consciousness and Aiden was starting to worry. The only thing that was informing Aiden that his Angel was still awake was Johnathon's breathing and the fact that Nemo was still there. Sighing, Aiden made his way back to the bed and sat with his back against the head bored. He hadn't slept since they returned afraid that Johnathon would make a turn for the worst while they slept. Plus, he won't to be awake for when his Angel finally reopened his eyes. Aiden reached out and moved some of the brunette's slightly damped hair out of his face.

 

After the first day, Aiden had removed the other's clothes so he could give him a sponge bath before replacing some of his own bigger clothes onto the shorter brunette. Aiden had just got done washing Johnathon's since he had already given him his bath for the day. Aiden smiled sadly as he reached over and petted Kitsu's fur. The once red fur with fiery anklets was now silver with icy blue strands which labelled the fox as a celestial being. Aiden chuckled softly to himself, he couldn't wait to see the reaction they got when Kitsu found out that he was now a celestial being. Aiden retracted his hand from the soft fur as he pulled away to get comfortable on the bed next to Johnathon. He looked down at the other's peaceful slumbering face sadly, "please wake up Angel. I hate seeing you like this." With that Aiden leaned over and kissed the brunette softly on the lips before wrapping his arms protectively around Johnathon.

 

He planned to only rest his eyes but with the lack of sleep he's had and the amount of stress he was under at the moment, Aiden's body shut down forcing the blonde into a dreamless slumber.

John skin would shiver softly when he felt the other male kissing him, and he would feel the warmth with which the other was embracing his eyes would start slowly to open finally for four long days without moving, he finally got his eyes open as his sight at first was concentrate up at the cell, but then when he sniff he could sense his partner scent next to him as he would lean his head softly to the side to look at the person who was holding him so tightly hugged blushing even a bit more, when he saw Aiden.

 

"You surely don't think about yourself, Aiden." the male would say gently reaching with his hand to the male's cheek and running his finger tips through it, he was more concentrate over Aiden sleeping face it was so beautiful, calm and relaxed he would smile softly as he would gently run his finger tips through the other male's lips but then he will find out what he was doing so he would pull his hand back, and trying slowly to stand up but when he stand up, a sudden shocking feeling will strike his head, making him drop down back on the bed and panting softly "That bad, I still haven't regain most of magic power, and the magical power is the source of a wizard life... I need more rest..." he would mumble as he would reach with one of his hand up to his head and placed beneath it to use it as another pillow slowly looking up at the cell, aimless, he kept remembering again and again the last few moments which he had, how he trading his life and his wolf life for the sake of Kitsu "When did I became so reckless..." he would ask himself sighing softly.

Aiden felt something touching his cheek but for some reason instead of awaken him it relaxed him greatly. "Angel," Aiden sighed in his sleep. He enjoyed the light touches that he was receiving but something within him wanted more but he was too peaceful at the moment to indulge such a thought. He frowned in his sleep when the contact stopped. The frown deepened til a soft growl unconsciously escaped from his slightly parted lips when he felt the body next to him move away entirely. He quickly calmed down when said body returned to his side instinctively wrapping his arms back around a small waist but something wasn't right. The submissive but powerful scent he was so use to was off. It was like it was fluctuating dangerously.

 

Aiden's eyebrows furrowed before his eyes slowly opened to see his Angel looking at the ceiling. His mind caught up just in time to hear the last spoken words of his Angel.

 

"When did I became so reckless..."

 

Aiden rolled on top of the other all but pinning the shorter brunette to the bed. Aiden's hands were on either side of Johnathon's head but instead of the playful seductive persona one would associate with such a position. Aiden was furious and for the first time they were together, Aiden looked directly at the male below him with pure anger burning within his eyes, "that's what I would like to know."

John would shiver slightly when he felt the other topping him and pinning down his hands as his cheeks would cover in deep blush looking up at his partner this time it was different, his partner was really pissed off, he tried to struggle a bit to get free but he couldn't, he heard the rather cold and rough voice which left the lips, it was more like demanding then anything else, he couldn't make his partner even anger then that.

 

"That's what I would like to know."

 

He would struggle a bit more, but his strength was missing, right now he was so fragile and so weak, that he couldn't do much as he would look up at the other with rather compassion and worriness then anger and disobey "I... I don't know... Aiden..." he would mumble to his partner as he would move his look to the side to escape the direct look, which was putting him in quite uncomfortable feeling, he knew that this time he was the one to blame and he was the one who have no right on voice, only Aiden can judge him "I... I really didn't think about me... I was thinking more for your happiness and Kitsu life... I... I can't say anything in defense but that.." he would mumble as soft tears would form under his eyes.

"Do you really think that I would be happy if you would have died. Do you really think that I care for you that little that I wouldn't even blink an eye if something was to happen to you?" Aiden growled as he forced the other to look back at him. He faltered slightly when he saw submission in the his Angel's eyes but Aiden knew or at least something in his mind told him that he had to make Johnathon understand that his life is not suspend able for ANY reason. Aiden's eyes harden as a growl erupted from deep within his throat, "you don't fucking get it do you. There was a fucking reason why I refused to sacrifice you. Nothing and I mean NOTHING is worth losing you. You are mine. You are belong with me, by my side.Why can't you fucking understand that?" Aiden's eyes pierced into the one's beneath him. Aiden could feel the anger in side of him rising. At first he thought that one of his contracted Devils were trying to get free but at a closer inspection Aiden could feel that neither Lucifer or Kitsu's older brother were going to interfere and Aiden was glad because this was between him and Johnathon.

 

Quickly Aiden grabbed the other's wrist and bond them together above Johnathon's head with a dark magik spell that only Aiden could remove. Aiden glared at Johnathon, "First you go off on S-Ranked missions on your own and return dying . Now, you go and do this." Aiden grabbed a handful of the defenseless brunette's hair and yanking harshly on it to angle Johnathon's head better towards Aiden's, "Are you so willing to leave me that you would rather die than actually admit that we're together." Aiden was beyond piss at that thought and honestly he didn't want to know the answer. "You said that your life is your own and you'll decide what to do with it but apparently you can't even do that if all you know is how to destroy it."

 

Aiden got off the bed suddenly but the look in his eyes showed that he wasn't finish with Johnathon . . . not by a long shot. Aiden's eyes were inhumanly cold and his facial expression could make Death itself fear Aiden and his upcoming wrath. Aiden took off his jacket throwing it on the floor before he began to remove his belts. When Aiden spoke his voice was low and just as cold as his eyes, "from this day forward your body and soul belongs to me. And you shall be MINE to the fullest extent." Once everything but Aiden's pants were off, Aiden returned to his spot hovering above Johnathon with his hands back to gripping the brunette's hair, "I will not stand by any longer and allow you to throw your life away. Anyone who even THINKS about harming you will deal with be killed by my hands." Aiden's eyes sparked slightly before Aiden crashed their lips together forcing his tongue into Johnathon's mouth.

John eyes would open widely as he felt this sudden penetrate deep inside his mouth as he tried to speak but his mouth was huffed and silent by the other tongue and lips as his eyes would water a bit, what Aiden though to do... to take his cloths like that, and leave only his pants, he couldn't even think for the worse scenario he would try and move his head to one side and the other but he couldn't the other was too tight, few tears would start drop down his cheeks and blush would appear over his face, as Nemo would look at the scene and was ready to jump but John was too worried for Aiden goodness so he made sign to his wolf to sit back and turn around, Nemo won't be much happy about that but he will obey.

 

The taste of Aiden, the scent of Aiden all was going over and inside him, as his cheeks would blush deeply but still his eyes would stay wide open, he tried to struggle to get his hands free but Aiden was too strong he couldn't move his hands, trembling under the other as his body was getting use to the other male's weight, his blush was growing even deeper, as he would give up finally and submit into the kiss slowly closing his eyes as few more tears would drop down, he couldn't say either that he didn't like the kiss, if Aiden wasn't there yesterday (at least for him is yesterday even though it's been 4 days) he would probably end dead but he would shake his head no this was wrong so he would start struggle again, against the other.

 

(I have to admit that I enjoy that a lot... seems that finally someone is strong enough to cross the border and reach up to such late measures.)
