Gray turned a darker shade of red "Don't say such weird things!!' he muttered finding it hard to control from his voice getting going a louder pitch and alert the butler or anyone who might be passing by, not that he was minding the attention but he just felt his heart skipped a beat, Natsu was so unpredictable, it was typical of him and still Gray hasn't totally gotten used to this peculiar trait of his. 'We've arrived' the butler said then as he stopped in front of a big wooden door. Gray moved his shoulders and sighed hoping that with the presence it would not be so awkward - there's way too much sexual tension-The butler opened it and walked in there were many people and the artifact was there displayed in some fine alloyed glass. - clearly this wasn't added in the job brochure - he thought to himself. Gray couldn't decide who was the most stupid; the owner for displaying it so openly or the thief to steal it in the middle of a crowded party.

Natsu would place his chin to rest on Gray's shoulder and look from the there at the view which the butler showed them and sigh softly "Got it, protect it, don't let the thief steal it... simple like that." he would say as he would rest his arms on Gray's back and look all over the place, he tried to remember everyone's scent which was in there, of course there was few scents which was rather strange it was males which was pretending to be chibbi girls... he would make a poke face over his face "Man there is some weird people here..." he would mumble to Gray's ear, Natsu was gay obviously as Gray as well but they never want to dress like girls or stuffs like that... they liked their manly appearance and that it!

'indeed' Gray said looking around, it seems like their clients were one of those with 'odd' tastes. He shivered when he recalled the last time a client who had a strange fetish for horrifically looking women, it gives him the goosebumps even thinking about it. 'Let's get over and done with it' he thought feeling his stomach churning. there was a musical band playing piano violin playing classic music in the background and the people started pairing up to dance and others just fathering and talking. He pulled Natsu closer, he didn't wish at all to loose him amidst of strangers ( though he would never admit that he hates being lost among strangers) somehow he felt safe having Natsu around, more then any other person in the fairytail guild, after all they had been friends(and foes) ever since they were little.

 

The lights went dim and a and short plump guy in a tux and a monicle walked in the room to make an introduction to theparty. He was wearing striped pink and orange shoes and a very tall hat, it was quite obvious that he was the patron and their client. He was an oddball alright - Gray thought to himself

Natsu would blush lightly when he felt Gray pulling him towards him and wrapping him in his embrace like he didn't want to let him get lose in between those strangers but seems like Natsu didn't mind so he would just tilt to the side his head and rest it on Gray's soldier, and wrap one of his arm around his mate waist and pull him closer too, hugging him tightly, he hated to see Gray with someone else, especially with Juvia, he would burn her to steam if she sees once more Gray naked or touch him or throw herself on his Ice mage, he would clench lightly his fist on his other hand from anger.

'Is something wrong?' Gray muttered looking at his partner who felt slightly trembling. He had no idea what Natsu was thinking, and certainly had no interest in what their client was blabbing about at that moment while everyone else was listening to him.

Natsu would look up at Gray as he would shake his head "Not really." he would mumble as he would finally release a bit his tight embrace around the other, he didn't want to worry Gray with his jealousy and possession, he knew that Gray didn't like that kind of stuffs or at least seems so from the side when he was seeing him with the Rain bitch.

'okay..' Gray said still not getting any clue from Natsu. At the end of the little speech the people roared with the claps of their hands (though he had no idea why). Gray shrugged his shoulders and turned to Natsu 'Now all we have to do is wait..would you like a drink or something?' - hold on is that something you ask to your date?' - he placed a hand on his forehead when the words sank in, he was so awkward in dealing with these stuff.

Natsu would chuckle lightly "Ahaha, didn't knew that you see on that as a date." Natsu would say with his playful fireful voice, and grin "I am gonna smash all of them to crisps." he would say grinning more as he would clench lightly his fist which will embrace in flames looking around.

He sent a glare in Natsu's direction 'shuddup' he muttered pouting slightly and embarrassed. The lights were lit up again and people returned to what they were doing before., except that Gray and Natsu were standing there side by side like sitting ducks

He took Natsu's hand and placed the other on his waist fuck it how it's gonna be it's gonna be - he thought to himself as he pulled Natsu's closer

 

'Don't get any wrong idea, we're just 'pretending' to dance' he said with a indignant voice

Natsu eyes would wide up as he would blush lightly, but when the other pulled him closer and start leading him in a dance Natsu blush would grow up "R-Right..." he would mumble he knew that the other wasn't pretending he could feel his emotions going all over the place "Well just to let you know... I just 'pretend' to like it." he would say with tease light grin and look up at the other.

He stuck his tongue out as he started to move with him. He had no idea how to dance so he was a bit clumsy and accidentally stepped on Natsu's foot 'oh sorry' he tried to make the same steps with him or rather looking down at his feet so that he avoids to step him again. There were a few giggles from the ladies, when they noticed the two of them.

Natsu would chuckle slightly "Don't worry about it, I am not a girl." he would say reaching with his hand lightly to Gray's butt and squeeze it a bit, grinning as he would help the other to navigate more correctly his moves "Just relax, close your eyes and let the music lead you, not that I am good in dancing either I am really bad at it."

He jumped startled at the squeeze and glared embarrassed at the other 'Don't do things like that in public! people are watching you know..' he said looking around feeling the thread of eyes on them.

Natsu would grin and pat the back of Gray "It's not like they know us or they will see us again, once we finish with this job I doubt they will see us or we will meet them anytime soon." he would say as his grin would grow, but then his expression would become serious as he would look at the others which was starring at them with fierce look, the face expression was saying everything 'Mind your own business' was the message and seems like everyone got it and turn around right away, ignoring the two males.

Gray looked as if he still didn't quite like the idea, but he said nothing. He felt a bit relieved that he was scaring off people with his glares at least they were handy ( and was doing it too ) they kept dancing, now Gray was getting a bit used to taking steps and move around with out being stepping on him. Out of the blue the lights went out.

Natsu would grin as he would return to the dances with Gray but when the lights went out he would step backward and flame on his hands lighting up right away the room again "Finally some action! I am all fired up!" he would say grinning, and looking around who will try to steam the item.

Gray could not help but faceplam - he was incorrigible he pulled his hand down 'don't attract attention on yourself you moron!' he said 'or he'll get away before..' there was a sound of smashed glasses and people shrieked. The lights were turned on again and the artifact was gone, but Gray spotted someone running away among the crowd.

Natsu would sniff around as he would notice then the running male, "There you are!" he will yell out with his fierce voice, and jump "Fire Dragon's Fist!" he would yell out as the next thing which could be seen was large explosion, and Natsu next to the other who was send to a near wall, Natsu would grin and look at the other, smashing his flaming fist into his palm "Come on now, stand up. Don't make it boring!" he would say grinning even more.

The man grimaced but stood up, Gray groaned because Natsu as usual was quick to put up a fight and use his magic without considering that there were a lot of people present, luckily he was a good mage and pinpointed the attacker, so he will save the preach for later. Gray attacked the thief by throwing and ice blade towards him with his ice but the enemy skillfully used his electricity to counterattack him and traveled back to the attacker taking in the shock. Gray felt paralyzed as the lightening surged through his body and yelled out loud.

Natsu would clench tighter his fist "You are not getting away from me!" he would say fierce jumping highly as his whole body will cover in flames "Crimson Lotus: Exploding Lightning Blade!" the next thing which appeared was big massive explosion breaking the whole mansion and the guy who was running laying on the ground shocked and unconsciousness.

The people in the meantime evacuated and the owner looked white pale. Amongst the massive debris that Natsu left in the pathway of his attack, the thief was down and unconscious and did not stir. 'You always overdo it..Natsu' Gray managed to mutter before he fell down loosing his consciousness too.

Natsu was about to tell something back to Gray but when he saw the other falls to the side, he would hurry up and catch him, before he falls down completely on the ground and sigh softly "I overdo it? Look at you..." he would say shaking his head and standing up looking at the request person "So the job is done. I hope you pay us, and... sorry about the destroyed house!" he would say the last few words more like for fun and grins.

The butler came rushing to where the two mages were. 'My poor house' he sobbed as he looked what was left of it. 'I'll pay ' you for the service' he then said. Gray was still unconscious in Natsu's arms and he did not move a muscle ever since, it seems like the shock he took from the enemy's electricity had been quite strong.

Natsu sighed softly, as he placed Gray over his shoulder "So... weak... almost giving me the goosebumps to strip you naked and play a bit with your body to the fullest." he would say playfully and grin, walking towards the request person, as the other start giving him the money for the request, he will take them all in his travel back and place it on his other free shoulder and take the path on foots for going back in Magnolia "Now let's hurry up, and take you to our medical facility... before something more interesting happen." he would say grinning as he could see finally on the horizon Magnolia!

Gray groaned and muttered under his breathe 'bastard I can hear you' he seemed like he finally regained consciousness as he felt as if he was carried but he was still light headed and disoriented. 'Is..is he down?' he then said placing a hand on his face.
