Not much left until Christmas knocks on our doors,

YaoiOtaku decided to open a thread for people

that love music and love to write poems,

or simply song lyrics.

 

Giving chance to show your feelings

about Christmas and in general - Winter.

We have picked a certain song,

based on its melody you have to write down

either a poem or a song lyrics.

Of course,it's up to you how you name it.

I'm the first. A short poem I wrote just now, in 30 minutes.

 

Christmas Night With You

 

In the dark of the night

The stars shine

You and I, holding hands

Watch the sky

 

Many bells are ringing

Merry children, carols singing

And me

Feeling like I'm dreaming.

 

Outside is snowing

In the house, the candles glowing,

All the Christmas decorations

Bring us emotions

 

You look smiling at the tree

And now I can see

This night is spectacular

All the season, magical

A Wintry Love Sonata

 

 

A draft of cold wind blew across the field

The sweet scent of Jasmine floats in the air

My hand tightened around a small tender leaf, so deep

An aching sorrow rear its head in my heart, o My Fair

 

The white vision of snow falling

My heart keeps beating its tune of sadness,

Crushing my hopes & dreams of my calling

I love you, I do, I do, o, this madness

 

As the sakura blossoms fall through the sky

My eyes lift up to heaven, your face I see

The long soft tendrils of your hair makes me sigh

I long to have you in my arms again, baby

 

All those days that we are apart make me ache

Now that your words had made its way to me again

Clutching my heart in my hand I anticipate

The meeting that would make or break my pain

 

As Christmas nears, and days pass,

Sweetheart, my love, this is what I feel

Remembering our heart's melodies in this Christmas,

My dear, this holiday is what all i need.

Under the mistletoe~

 

Every time when we're under the mistletoe I can not help but smile.

Your lips are so warm, your kiss is hot and sweet.

The way you look at me with love in your eyes I melt like the winter snow.

When your here with me under this holly I can't help but be jolly.

 

Being under the mistletoe with you gives me hope and joy.

The hope of kissing your red lips.

The joy it makes me feel to be near you.

My heart beats fast, you are so near.

 

Here under this holly makes me fell happy and loved.

Happy to see your face.

Loved because your the one I'm under here with.

Under this piece of holly makes me feel jolly.

 

I melt like the winter's snow when our lips touched.

Snow are falling

Yet I'm all alone...

I wonder WHY...

Overhealmed by This feeling...

Tears...

Slowly rolling down my cheeks...

I cried to God...

 

OH God...

"PLEASE"

Take me away from here!

Free me from this madness!

Heal my wounds!

Stop my tears!

Help me break free!

EMBRACE ME!!!

 

As I cried to god on my knees...

I looked up...

Above the unreachable sky...

A pure white angle appeared and smiled...

At that moment I knew...

God never did abandon me...

God has given me the answer...

Oh Lord...

" Reflections of winters love lost"

 

The hours,the days,the weeks roll by,

and still l feel and its no lie.

The empty ache deep in my soul,

this broken heart no longer whole.

 

That you had to leave, l well know why,

but it shattered my world,lt made me cry.

My dreams are over ,my future dead,

only pain and sorrow lie ahead.

 

No matter where l walk or look ,

around the town or by the brook.

l hear your voice,l feel your touch,

l see the face l miss so much.

 

You've gone from me, never returning,

but that won't stop my bodys yearning

to have you close, so near so strong,

how can that be so very wrong.

 

To feel your breath,your heat your taste,

strong arms clasped tight around my waist.

Pulling me closer ,holding me firm,

caressing me gently making me squirm.

 

Passionate,violent ,dominant, rough,

but also gentle and tender ,more than enough.

l understand why you left, l really do know

and my only wish is that you could have said no.

This is both Sad and Happy. Reminding us that Christmas is a time to Love selflessly.

 

 

 

It's Christmas time Love; isn't this your favorite time of year?

The children will be coming home to us.

Our grandchildren are growing so big and strong.

We've built a fine family--isn't that right Dear?

 

 

The stockings are ready; the presents are wrapped.

After all that excitement at my age; I'm surprised I didn't take a nap.

I made those cookies you like; and the gingerbread train too.

The house smells delicious--you remember don't you Dear?

 

 

People often say that the holiday is trying.

But I don't feel that way at all.

The memories of things long past are bittersweet.

It's a milestone of our life together--don't you agree Dear?

 

 

I'll be leaving soon for Midnight mass.

Again I'm singing in the choir like you always loved.

My voice isn't what it used to be; but I'll sing to the Angels above.

You smiling up to me from the back row--it'll be harder this year Dear.

 

 

I must have to admit, I've shed some tears. I couldn't really help it.

Anna our dog sleeps at the door; waiting for the dearly departed.

I remember when you first got her; all tied up with a red bow.

Such a sweet gift you gave me--you loved me selflessly Dear.

 

 

Tonight I'll make some hot chocolate, with lots of mint and cream.

I'll stare outside the window too, and wish for Christmas snow.

And when I go to bed, I'll pray to God and ask him how you are.

Heaven is just a step away, so it's really not that far--Angel Dear.

 

Your picture is on the mantle; the one with the silly Santa Hat.

I've kissed your face a thousand times; beneath the mistletoe and back.

This year won't be easy, but rest in peace my Love.

Winter Loneliness

 

 

WINTER LONELINESS

 

The cold winter breeze that I feel...

The pure white snow that I see...

I can't fool myself anymore,

Loneliness will play with me once more.

 

Three long seasons have passed,

Only pure happiness have I felt.

As free as a bird I've soared,

What a carefree life I've enjoyed.

 

Yet only one season can kill

All the happiness inside of me.

I'm a living dead in this world,

Full of sorrows and pain.

 

As the winter breeze touch my skin

I whispered, almost a weep,

"Do I grieve together with you, my friend?"

And snow started to fall.

 

But hatred is not what I feel.

Confused or just overwhelmed?

As the world grew colder and calmer,

So does my whole self inside and out.

 

Cold yet calm.

As dead as the world around me.

But loneliness have understood,

The complex emotions that I have.

 

As cold as the winter season,

As white as the snow.

As dead as the world,

As lonely as the true me.

i didn't use Xmas as inspiration. i thougth of something related to winter i guess... so here goes nothing. >.

 

 

Snow

 

The white sea you stare at,

For how long was it falling?

Daring to call it beautiful,

When loving the fireplace fire.

 

Staring through the window glass,

You keep on smiling at it.

While the love in your gaze,

Was never true to begin with.

 

Once it reaches the ground,

The smile on your face will fade.

Giving room to frozen lips,

That the cold scares away.

 

A pretended desire,

That false hope,

The countless times it wished,

For the happily ever after.

 

Being pushed aside,

Just to stare at feet passing.

Waiting to once again be melted.

The never ending destiny…

But there was nothing left for me to linger

For it was her name that is on that paper

I lost my voice, I can't find words to utter

 

My heart was tricked by you alone

The promises of tomorrow, I should have known

That all these years it was her all along

Your words were hollow, your heart was made of stone

 

There was no enough strength for me to muster

All that was left was bitterness and sorrow

Now that you're gone, I am left with shame

Ah, hi~ I decided to join as well!

 

Two things:

1. Any poem I've ever written has always been 'free-style', or plain 'whatever-style';P, they usually don't have much rhyme or a specific format. I hope that's okay.

2. Since we could write about anything we wanted, I let my mind roam free while listening to the tune. And somehow I wandered in the land of 'broken promises'. So I wrote a poem about a person who's broken a promise to the man he loved and now they(as in the person who broke the promise-sex is purposefully not specified) has to live with it.

 

So, here it is.

 

 

 

A Thousand Needles

 

On nights with no moon,

I sense you

Hovering in the darkness.

Leering.

Whispering.

When death knocks on my window

And the wilderness echoes in silence

I can feel you,

In the flickering fire of the candle that’s burning.

My other self

 

Piercing the corners of my eyelids,

Creeping under the wooden floors.

Beyond the walls, beyond the ceiling,

Your sighs are written in oaths of crimson.

 

I’ve shed my skin for you.

And now I lay bare.

With each and every of our memories

Your voice vibrates in space.

For your mercy I’ve broken my blood;

In your remembrance I’ve slaughtered so many.

 

My only torture

My self no longer is my own;

It melted with the snow and sunk in the sea.

In the dark depths of the oceans

I dance grasping your soul.

 

Tearing my flesh away,

I invoke you.

Dragging your footsteps behind mine,

Binding my limp limbs to yours.

 

My faithful shadow

I shall forever remain painfully aware of your existence.

I'm afraid of losing.

And so afraid in keeping.

 

It's not that I wasn't holding.

I do think,

It is losing it's gripping.

Timidity? Timidity!

 

Look, snow are falling.

One by one.

One...by...one.

Onto my palm, touching.

 

Are you seeing this?

With this bare skin I'm wearing,

and the touch of flakes, covering.

It burns, it deeply...burns.

 

Are you feeling this?

The light orbs surrounding me.

Are warm, so warm.

Tightly, it's tightly embracing me.

 

Are you witnessing this?

I'm gazing, through the orbs I'm gazing.

From transparency is a face, smiling.

Radiantly smiling.

 

Have you planned this?

The sign, I now clearly see the sign.

That under this winter, at the last minute of my December.

It's not "without you and my ending".

It is "still with you and my new beginning".
