Ashton's blush strengthened a bit, showing vibrantly in his pale cheeks. He smiled softly and looked at his feet, scuffing a bit of the carpet to distract himself. The moment he looked back up his gaze when stright to the vampires lips, from here he could see the glistening fangs behind them. A sudden image flashed across the innocent boys young mind as Kryias took his clothes away.

He saw this beautiful creature holding him , tilting his head back and he could almost feel those plump lips press to his neck before the sharp pierce that followed. He shook his head as he discarded the image quickly, blushing from his cheeks to his fingers tips before speaking up as though he had been listening all the time.

"How can someone be nicer than you? You have fed me, housed me, and protected me. I owe you a lot, your the nicest person i've ever met to be honest." He laughed softly in reply.

He stepped over the the seat and set tentativly on the edge of it, resting his hands on his knees in an attempt not to stand out as much as he did. However it was for not because he still stood in contrast to the cool beauty that sat beside him relaxed yet somehow still elegant.

Shifting slightly he allowed himself to relax, leaning back against it and bringing his gaze back up to the others as he spoke. "Yes, I loved your hair. It was beautiful." He spoke hushed, to match the calm surroundings around him.

He listened to the tragic story in silence, making sure to keep any form of judging from his mind and face. He thought about the boy he had seen earlier, for a moment he considered what he may look like if he were to dress as a guy and just the idea made him blush. He was a small boy surrounded by these beautiful, marble beings. He began to feel self contious, shrinking back in the chair and pulling his legs up to rest them in the chair as well. He considered every detail of the story and nodded slowly before making any type of comment. Making sure to form what he was going to say first so he would not be left with his foot in his mouth.

"I understand why you did what you did then, we will have to get you out of here. I promise to find a way." He spoke as he watched the other drink the vile, he could tell what it was. Smiling lightly and shaking his head, to disregard it. "No no! I really do not mind, you are a vampire right? So something like that is only natural, if you ever have I do not mind, I could turn my head if you do not want me to watch next time?" He suggested as he slide out of the comfortable chair, groaning as he stretched a bit.

Hearing the beautiful music begin he laughed softly, turning to look at the fire. He wanted things to stop, right here in this moment, it was so perfect. Leaning against the fire place he kept his gaze on the flickering flames, reaching up and running his fingers threw his hair. "I got that music box when I was a kid, from a women who I thought was a witch. I asked her for my wish and she said with that box I would get it, but, I think you could use my wish more than me. I have everything I could ever want here. You know, I the other day, I was not supposed to go to work. I had the day off but I saw a case for the music box in the store about a month ago and I wanted it. So I have been taking extra days to get it. If it were not for that box then I would never have gone to work the other day and I would never have met you."

He smiled softly and pushed himself away from the fire place and stepped towards the room that he was indicated never to go in before speaking. "So, all of the souls are still in there? They should be released." He mumured before sliming back at Lacrimosa.

Lacrimosa nodded. "They should be but mother will possess if you try to go in there." he said as a warning. Lacrimosa stood up slowly and walked over to Ashton. "Seeing me drink blood truly did not bother you?" he asked. He then raised a hand and magically the case for the music box appeared, he handed it to Ashton.

"For you my dear." he said kissing Ashton's top of his hand.

Lacrimosa saw Riley come back in, Riley had put the parasol away and was still wearing the dress, he walked over, he was older then Lacrimosa it appeared.

"It looks the same as when I left. Yet there is a lightness to the air that was not here last." said Riley.

He looked to Ashton. "I have you to thank for that I suppose." he said, his powdered face and lip sticked lips were perfect, in fact he was so pretty most men would have fallen to their knees just in appreciation of him, though they would have thought he was a her despite his flat chest.

Riley of course looked towards the mother's room. "We still don't have the power to get in there without troubles." he said.

Lacrimosa nodded in agreement. "The last time Kryrias tried even his warding spells could not stop her." he said.

Riley shook his head. "Well I'm headed to my coffin for the day, if you need me let me know." he said before he left.

Lacrimosa rubbed the back of his head. "My elder brother is an odd one. Still he's right, what do you suppose could stop her from getting to us if we tried?" asked Lacrimosa.

Lacrimosa thought about what Ashton had said. "The fates have brought you here for a reason." he said as he hugged the young man, his lips next to his neck, by the gods how he wanted to bite him, take him, give him the ride of his life. But Lacrimosa pushed it all back, surely he could not do such a thing. Still he ended the hug. "I am glad you are here." said Lacrimosa.

Lacrimosa looked over at the paintings, his mother's painting was over her room and he sighed. "She was beautiful, though not on the inside." said Lacrimosa pointing to her painting. He looked at Ashton once more.

"So what do you want to do now? You live here after all now, and we have a few more hours before daylight." said Lacrimosa. He wasn't sure if the other wanted to try the room, it was a very bad idea and he hoped to distract the other just a bit. Kryrias walked over and removed Lacrimosa's coat, since he'd forgotten to remove it. There stood Lacrimosa's form practically clung to with clothes showing off his lithe form a bit to Ashton. Even if he was unconsciously doing it.

Ashton thought about it for a moment, the image of Lacrimosa tilting the vile back in his lips and drinking the liquid did not truly bother him. In face he almost wanted to watch the other do it again, to watch those perfect lips wrap around the top of the vile. Smiling back at the other he nodded slowly but cheerfully so Lacrimosa would know he was not lying.

"It honestly did not, I drink things all the time." He let out a nervous laugh before continuing.

"So to you that was the same as it would be for me to take a shot of alchohol or something even as simple as water? And even at that you need it, so I understand." He gave a curt nod of his head in a conclusion.

His eyes went absolutly wide with childish glee at the sight of the music box,if he were a girl he likely would have giggled. But instead he settled for simply a very large smile, his eyes alright with joy. Reaching forward he took the box and held it up, running a cool finger along it's smooth surface. It was beautiful and having lost the possibility of ever getting it himself made it even better. He considered for a moment offering it back, due to the price but glancing around he remembered how wealthy the other was and allowed his own desire to overcome his sense of pride and curtsy.

The blush from earlier was just now receding when he felt those same lips press to his hand, causing it to rear up again. Images that he knew he should not be thinking flooded threw his mind once more, but he shook them away when he saw the others brother walk in.

He kept hold of the music box, refusing to put it down as he watched Riley. There was a deep serinity between the two, he could tell they were siblings however different they seemed. When he was spoken to Ashton gave him a confused look, not understanding what the other was saying until he also remembered when the butler had spoke of him bringing a good change to Lacrimosa as well. He gave a very light smile, alight as a kid would be when their parent complimented a picture they had drawn.

Ashton watched Riley leave and turned back to look at the door that seemed to be a doorway to hell. He crossed his arms as he thought and brought a hand up to tap his cheek. There was one ghost and four people, three of them were supernatural beings, very fast and strong. The ghost was one that was old and trivial. He turned towards Lacrimosa and spoke. "Why not trick her? She is one and we are four, well that is three and a human?" He laughed softly before continuing.

"Why not you guys distract her and I can sneak in? She will definetly care about you more than me, act like you are going to escape and I can sneak into the room and get the souls. Or at least try, it is worth a shot? If I get possesed you can just dump me of at a church before it gets light and there we go. But you guys can't be cleansed. Sound like a plan?" He concluded looking up at the other two.

"Well Riley won't enter the room, but Kryrias and I may be enough to distract her. The problem with her possessions are that she can possess you to harm others who you don't wish to, I suppose with Kryrias around it could probably be done with us three." he said in observation.

Lacrimosa thought for a moment. "I can't convince Riley to go into there, I have tried a great many times, but the man is a pacifist, he does not like to get involved in things that could cause harm to others, no matter who is suffering. I hope you understand that his way of peace is allowing some things to slip by." explained Lacrimosa.

Kryrias came in then. "He is your eldest sibling, and he's always been like that. Master Ashton, your plan sounds good, but it does not get rid of her ghost, it simply frees the souls of those she kept. She herself is still around and could continue to cause problems, do you have any ideas for her?" he asked curiously.

Lacrimosa sighed. "We can't expect him to know everything." he said just shrugging.

He then looked to Ashton. "Tomorrow night perhaps? Come I have something new to show you." said Lacrimosa.

Lacrimosa walked out to the gardens, making sure to hand Ashton a very thick and warm coat. It was snowing out, though it was a quiet snow, not a blizzard. The black roses bloomed at night, and the place seemed alive almost. The frozen fountain's waters were shining in the moonlight, the snow lilies were blooming, and the moon flowers as well.

"This garden grows at night, it is truly beautiful when it snow." he said showing Ashton the beauty around them.

Lacrimosa's silver eyes had lit up. "It's my favorite time when this happens here." he said, his silver locks of hair being coated in snow as he looked around, seemingly unfazed by the cold.

Ashton smiled lightly, he felt as though he was being praised for his current idea. His bright eyes brightened more if possibly, he shuffled over to the nearest table and very carefully set the music box down with the case on it. This would always be his most prized possession.

"I really do not mind the danger, I doubt I could harm you even if I wanted to. Just knock me out, i'm sure you guys can do that without hurting me to bad? Other than that a few scrapes and bruises won't do me much harm, in fact I could probably use a bit of roughing up here and there the way you both spoil so." He added the last in an attempt at lightening the current mood and conversation.

Reaching up and bringing a smooth finger to tap his rather pinkish cheek as he thought about the ghost still lingering. "Well having the house exorciced is not the best of idea's with you guys living here so that would be a no go. What if you guys go outside when the souls are free'ed and the house can be exersiced then, if it works you can just leave because the curse will not be able to keep you here? If it doesn't work then we will just move to the next solution?"The small boy concluded his idea as he gave them both a small, warm smile of reassurance before adding. "We just have to take this one step at a time and the first step should be saving those souls."

Ashton looked towards Lacrimosa in a curious furrow of his eyebrows nodded, taking a last look at his music box before concluding that it would be safe there. Following the other threw the house and tugging on the coat that made him look even smaller against it's thick skin. His eyes went wide in awe at the sight he withheld before him, running straight out into it and laughing with a soft melody. He almost felt bad for walking in it, as though he were somehow tainting a perfect portrait. Reaching down he picked up a handfull of snow and rubbed his face in it, his breath showing in puffs in the air.

Lacrimosa watched Ashton, he smiled a little sadly to himself. He wished he still had that vivacious energy, but after all the things that had occurred in his life, it was hard to even muster up a good smile every now and then. Lacrimosa had always been known for deflecting sadness with sarcasm, but now he could hardly even muster that up. He however while watching Ashton felt his heart lose some of the weight it had. His silver locks of hair were covered in snow as he walked over and began to build a snowman, he smirked at Ashton wondering if the other would help, once it was up he of course grabbed some coals and Kryrias came out to deliver the carrot nose.

"You know, vampires we can't feel the cold like humans do, we know it's there and we're aware of it, but it doesn't freeze or take our skin the way human's skin is changed with it." he explained.

He thought for a moment. "But what if she possessed one of us, me or Kryrias, and you were freeing the souls, and the other could not stop the other from harming you? Would you hate me?" he asked curiously.

Lacrimosa was almost afraid of it, being left alone again, he was afraid of the plan slightly not knowing if Kryrias could stop him, actually he knew Kryrias couldn't stop him. What Lacrimosa had yet to divulge to Ashton, was his power level as a vampire had always surpassed most, in fact the only person he could not surpass was his own mother. He was more powerful then Riley and Kryrias combined. And they were both older then he was, and vampires no less. Lacrimosa wondered if Kryrias would be able to hold him back long enough for Ashton's safety if he were t become possessed, even so if he did harm Ashton he would never forgive himself.

"I'm...a blood bender. If you didn't know that from earlier, when I healed you, I used blood bending. It's a rare skill that very few have, and the few that are left learned it when it was forced upon us. It's not a skill we like to know, yes it can come in handy, but it's also very dangerous." he explained.

Lacrimosa knew of his own dangerous powers, he needed Ashton to know, of course he knew the story of why he had the powers too, but that was a tale for another time.

The smaller boy laughed softly as a stray snow flake falling to the tip of his nose, trying to look down his nose to see it just as it melted. He glanced up at the beautiful night sky that was raining down soft tuffs of snow, he remembered once when he was younger his mother had told him that snow was little pieces of heaven that had been shaken loose by god walking around up there. That was many years ago and the young boy had of course grown up, but those little childish memories still popped spontaneously into his mind every now and then. He tripped and stumbled face first into the snow but simply laughed harder as he righted himself, brushing off the access fluff. Turning in search for the vampire he smiled, seeing him begin the startings of a snow man.

Quickly making his way towards him Ashton began to gather up large lumps of snow, sticking it to the large, icy mass and smoothing it down evenly. Thinking how to respond to the vampires statement about the cold.

"Really? I rather like the cold, it seems to almost frost over a persons skin. It hurts sometimes but then once you go inside and warm up everything just seems so much warmer and more cozy." He laughed as he turned to over look the rather impressive snow man.

He looked it over, using enough time up so that he could properly answer the next question. He knew how he was likely expected to respond with something along the lines of No, Lacrimosa, I could never hate or even dislike you. My body is something I am willing to sacrifice.

However that answer to him did not seem good enough to him, although it was true it needed something more and to be more than honest he has no intentions of getting hurt and was not about to go running in as a sacrifice. He had more common sense than that and more self preservation as well. He smiled when he thought of what he was going to say and spoke without a second more hesitation.

"Yes, I will hate you. Also, I will hate you if you or even Kryias get hurt as well. So do us all a favor and protect us hm? Our lives are in your hands, please take good care of them. As for being a Blood Bender, you are a vampire living in a mansion with a vampire butler, a ghost and not to mention that the place is cursed as well. Did you really think that would scare of even surprise me at this point?" The smaller boy let out a laugh as he trailed his fingers along the snow man, he could never hate either of the two vampires but he never wanted to lose them too.

Lacrimosa smiled a little at his words, he only hoped he would be strong enough. He knew Riley could have stopped him, but his brother was a pacifist. Lacrimosa did try to think of how he would stop himself if it came to that. He of course made sure to look around at the beauty around them, he wanted to keep it in his memory forever. Lacrimosa looked to Ashton and took his hand in his. Lacrimosa of course led them away from the snowman over to the frozen fountain, his reflection did not show, he was a vampire after all. He looked to Ashton.

"The reason the dead do not have reflections is because we're supposed to be soulless, the souls of the living are reflected in the waters and ice. But still, I believe I have a soul. Even if my soul is undead." he said.

Lacrimosa looked to Ashton. "I'm glad you're around to remind me of humanity's strengths. Not just their weaknesses. But I wonder, would you ever wish to become a vampire? I know it's an odd question." he said.

Lacrimosa of course remembered the last time he'd tried to be with anyone, it was a human, and they wouldn't change. The problems had been that they would die long before he did, they left him over the fear of it as well, not that he truly minded. He understood, still he was scared of getting his heart broken again, not that he'd ever tell Ashton of his feelings, that would be highly improbable to be returned truly.

"While you're here at the mansion, is there anything you truly want to do? Besides try and free me of course." he said.

It had been a while since they'd had a new guest, old traditions kept were fine, but bringing in new blood would be better in his honest opinion. He of course was lost in his own thoughts of his past a little, he remembered Alucard, the true love he'd had so long ago, then of course the one after that named Brighton. In the end he always wound up alone, and yet he couldn't push this one away, even as much as his mind was warning him.

Ashton smiled softly, reaching up to blow some of his warm breath into his freezing hands before rubbing them together. He glanced down to crunch a bit of snow under under his feet, surprised at how deep it already seemed as he began to worry if his sister made it back to wherever she was going to go safely. For a moment he considered seeing if he could go find her and check up on her to see but then he reminded himself that she was old enough now that she did not need a babysiter and besides, Ashton clearly had 'bigger fish to fry' so to speak. Pulled from his thoughts as he felt cool fingers take his own hand softly, even though Lacrimosa's skin was marble and cold there was also a warmth to it as well.

Glancing into the fountain he nodded as he saw the others words were right, there really was no reflection in the foutain! Did this mean that Lacrimosa could also not see himself in a mirror? It seemed like a shame for someone so beautiful to never even be able to marvel or enjoy there own appearance.

The answer to Lacrimosa's question seemed obvious to the younger boy, who did not want to be a vampire to be honest. However if he became a vampire he would not be able to provide blood if Lacrimosa ever got himself into a predicament and to be honest even he wanted to feel those alluring teeth sink into his own smooth skin.

He shook the image thaat was begining to form from his mind as he looked up at Lacrimosato answer after a rather long silence. "I mean....of course I would love to be a vampire, who wouldn't? I would never have to leave you, but on the reverse you might not like me as much if I am not so warm as I am now plus I do not want to hurt anyone. The idea of living forever scares even me, but if it is with you and Kryias then I think it would be fun!" Ashton could not help but perk up a bit at the very idea of it.

Glancing up at the large, looming above him and allowing himself to think of anything he might want. Frowning softly when he found that he could come up with nothing.

The only thing that he could think of was an image that flashed through his mind so fast that not even the boy truly comprehended it. It was the vague image Lacrimosa, pressing his soft looking lips to Ashtons own. Shaking his head quickly as a bright blush rose to his cheeks, he turned away from the other to smother his his burning cheeks into the cold, icy snow. Turning back after he had calmed down a bit and fixing his hair before he spoke. "I can't think of anything I want to do, I have only ever worked and things such as that so was always a bit to busy to day dream or anything of the sort."

Lacrimosa smiled at Ashton's answer, he was so very innocent and pure. Lacrimosa of course led them back inside then to make sure Ashton would not freeze, once inside, the place was warm, it seemed that Kryrias had lit up the fire place and many torches across the mansion. The fires did burn blue as the place was cursed, even so Lacrimosa's silver locks of hair reflected the light and he looked even more ethereal around the flames. Lacrimosa's long black nails traced the fire place's edge which was when Kryrias came in.

"There was a wolf sighting not too far from here." he said as he looked to Ashton.

Lacrimosa sighed. "That means that our scent is become more putrid to the outside world." he said.

Kryrias nodded. "Which means somehow the curse is wavering a bit, tomorrow night may be the opportune moment to strike at her room." he spoke.

Lacrimosa looked at the music box, somehow...something felt strange about it, like it was somehow doing this. He couldn't put his finger on it though.

"I do hope your sister made it alright." spoke Kryrias looking to Ashton.

Lacrimosa sniffed the air outside quickly from the front door. "I smell no blood shed." he said simply.

Lacrimosa did however smell the scent of his sister, he took a moment before he looked to Ashton. "I can lead you to her if you so wish to see her, I can smell her from here." he said.

Lacrimosa of course wasn't going to let Ashton freeze, but morning was coming near, and Lacrimosa knew he would need the special ring to be out at this hour. He hated that ring even if it protected him from sunlight. It would still burn the finger it went on with a new scar, everytime he decided to wear something like it. He of course looked to Ashton.

"We may look for her if you wish, I knew she was on your mind a moment ago." he explained before he returned inside, he then walked over to the flames and pulled out a ring with a large sapphire on it, the ring had magical properties, it could easily be sufficed.

"This is known as an ice sapphire. It protects vampires from the sunlight so we can go into it. It however comes with a small price, the finger it is worn upon is left a rather nasty scar upon. I have two scars on my ring fingers already, if I wear it again I will gain another. Still it is kept in case of emergencies." he said looking to Ashton.

Lacrimosa's family were indeed rich to afford a ring of that size and cut, the facts were that it was one of the most expensive and gorgeous rings Ashton would ever see, no matter what it was used for.

  • 2 weeks later...

Ashton smiled softly, his gaze lingering longingly on the snow one last time before following the other back inside the cursed mansion. Only once they were inside did he realize how deathly cold he was, bringing his hands up he covered his mouth as he let out a rather childish sounding little sneeze. Rubbing his nose and continuing to follow Kryias, smiling softly as he watched the fire gleaming down the hallways. His large eyes taking in the beautiful apperance of the man who stood beside of him. Glancing out the window he spoke after taking in the vampires words.

"So we can do it tomorrow then? I will be ready for it, I promise it. We do not need to go look for her, she can certainly handle herself. I am sure she has already made it back to wherever she plans on staying." He lingered on the ring, staring in awe at it's beauty before ripping his gaze away from it so as not to be rude. Reaching up he rubbed his temple, stumbling a bit and steadying himself against the nearest wall. "Would you mind if I go to bed now? I'm rather tired." He murmured through slurred lips.

(So sorry it is short, I managed to catch a case of writers block)
