Naquos walked through the tent entrance, his long silver cane something to be feared as he checked the place for any flaws. Ah good, Bernadette, Odette, Yvette, and Margarette had set up everything. The quadruplets were all dressed in matching leotards. He glanced at them, making sure they all stood perfectly alert for their opening show in that area.

"Ladies you all look positively....despicable, wonderful make up job." he said with a smirk.

Indeed they all had zombie make-up on, as the circus was called "twisted" for a reason. His golden eyes piercing like devils eyes glanced back to the fortune teller booth. It was next to the popcorn booth, but the fortune teller hadn't arrived.

"I will be breaking knee caps later." he muttered to himself as he exited the main tent.

Naquos of course wore a white top hat, a white butler's coat with the tails on it, white pants, and white shoes. In fact most people called him the devil in white. Why? Because he was ruthless, he was a lion tamer professional for a reason. The rest of the circus was abuzz with the various rides, food, and freaks of all kinds. The place was a trip, the food shaped like various body parts though it wasn't actually body parts.

Naquos stood at a height of six feet, six inches. But he had a commanding aura, and it seemed as though everyone who worked at the circus both respected and feared him. He had white locks of hair, his lips were pale, and he had vampiric fangs. To anyone not working for him he would be considered handsome. He of course pulled out a vile, it was filled with fresh blood, he drank it down and moved one of his white gloves to the entrance to the tent of the fortune teller. He supposed he could fill in since they were either running late or dead, possibly the second since they were a drunk. He sat down in the chair examining the crystal a bit.

"How trivial." he said to himself in his deep tone.

Naquos was already bored, but decided to see what might happen with his first customer. He of course while waiting fixed his nose ring. He had a few piercings, such as ears six times each, his tongue, his lips with snake bites, and his nose. He also had a couple of tattoos, though they weren't visible. He of course put his feet up after fixing his nose ring. He examined his watch next.

"They must be dead since if they arrive now this late I'll kill them." he muttered.

That was when he noticed his first customer come in and sat up straight, his golden eyes turning blood red with interest.

"Jay, please tell me that we are not going there?" Kasai glanced up at his twenty-five year old brother as he moved the red hair from his eyes. The redhead looked down at Kasai, who honestly, looked nothing like him besides their eyes. Unlike Jay's, Kasai's hair was a deep midnight black, while his was a stunning bright red. Many people thought one or the other was adopted by that little notion. But no, they were just from different mothers. Now if they went to the middle one, between them, that could be said as he was rescued from getting sent to jail by their Father.

"Yes, yes we are Kasai." Jay responded, sighing lightly at Kasai's complaints. "As I see it, it's a good thing to get out of the house after Father and you got into that fight last night. After all, it was...quite...bad."

"I threw one dagger, that is all!" Kasai retorted as he followed his brother into the strange circus. He huffed as Jay rolled his eyes at the response, grabbing his hand and kept walking along.

"You hungry?" Jay finally questioned after there was a moment of silence between the two of them. Kasai huffed in light irritation as he let his growling stomach answer that question for him. "Thought so." Jay chuckled and lead them to a popcorn stand, letting his little brother eat a bag before they were going to look around again. However, his brother's eyes caught on the tent next to them.

"Fortune teller?" Kasai snorted. "I never believed in them, shall we see if this one can actually get it right?" He looked up at Jay who chuckled lightly.

"Sure. Better than just wandering around waiting for the actual show to start." He commented as he followed Kasai into the tent. But, upon entering he had...a bad feeling almost. Kasai however, was blinking, and staring at the man in the tent, and asked then bluntly,

"You the so called "fortune" teller?"

Jay swore the kid was looking for trouble when he spoke like that sometimes.

Naquos grinned a malevolent grin beneath his folded hands, how interesting. They didn't believe in magic, that much was obvious.

"No she's on vacation." he suddenly said seriously.

He did however raise a hand and magically did make the crystal ball glow. "But I am able to do her job." he said simply.

He of course was already wondering about the two, looking at them both, the older one seemed disinterested, but the younger one would be easy to trap.

"Well let's see, just to be nice I may just do your fortune for free." he said.

He raised a hand, of course his powers were more about showing an illusion. The space around them began to change, and the illusion was given. It was fairly convincing as well, the younger boy would become entranced in their circus, and with him. He would become famous in it actually, preferably for his skill with juggling and tight ropes. Interesting, of course he'd have a few scuffles along the way, but Naquos was showing something different, he was showing fame to someone who probably had no taste of it.

Once he was done, he did of course look at the elder brother. "You want one?" he asked.

Naquos of course smirked his devilish smirk, he seemed to love toying with people, not that they could see that. He was interested as to where this could go, what might happen, and if he played his cards right, which he always did. Just what would they want there? After all what he had shown, had shown many twisted parts of the circus as well, such as when the brother would first begin, he would be drenched in pig guts at some point, why? Well it was part of the show. But of course the crowd would jeer and scream for more. Naquos himself never had any doubts that when he looked at them both, but the younger one especially, that he could possibly gain a new prize for his circus.

Kasai had to blink a few times at the other. "Hn." He really didn't trust this person at all, but he stayed silent. He knew Jay was right next to him so that kept him away from too much worrying...mostly because Jay seemed to beat up anyone he pleased most of the time and then had their Father back him up to tell them that nothing was wrong and he was standing up for himself or someone else. Because normally, that was what happened.

However, despite Kasai not believing in anything at first, he was quite interested in what he was shown. It was his type of style. It really was. But he did not seemed pleased by all the claps and yelling he heard. That annoyed him quite a bit. He liked when he was around small groups when he did anything, success in front of a lot of people did not please him. He could thank his Mother for that, who forced him to kill someone when he was five years old in front of a large group of people, in effort to get someone to take him away from her. He was thankful it failed.

Jay gripped onto Kasai's shoulder lightly, seeing as well. He then looked up at the other man's words and let out a small sigh. "Fine." He responded, still refusing to let go of Kasai. For some reason this person was...unsettling to him. He didn't trust him, and from what he saw, he knew that something was going to go wrong for his brother. It had something to do here... It had to from what he saw. Father would never allow him to do half of that.

Naquos watched them and smirked. "Come now, watch our show." he said. The show was to begin soon, he was the ringleader after all. Raising a hand, he pulled out some fireworks and set them off, showing the glorious show he had beforehand.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Twisted!" he exclaimed in his malevolent tone.

The seats were packed as the gore began. The quadruplets were moving on the tight ropes, all with that zombie make-up on. They of course had the sex appeal factor as well as they worked with the chain saws juggling them while they were on. Naquos meanwhile tamed the white lions, a very rare breed of lion. He of course cracked his whip and even went inside the lion's mouth. He seemed unafraid, even commanding as he made them do the tricks. He was known as the white devil for a reason, he had them tamed like kittens. He of course was multi talented too, as he next juggled knives blind folded, not one of them fell.

The quadruplets brought out the creepiest clowns possible, in fact they seemed to be clowns straight out of nightmares, with the long teeth in their masks. The place was definitely an entertaining one, if not scary. After all it said on the doors that this show was not for children. Naquos commanded the most attention, a true talent actually. He seemed to have every talent in the book, and everyone else was just following his lead. Naquos of course then decided the last round would be the swings in mid air with no tight rope. He and the quadruplets would be juggling each other in mid air, pure danger of course.

Naquos was flawless, perfection, and purely cold hearted. And his show proved it, though no one dropped, he wouldn't have saved them if they had, even for the face of the circus. Once done they all bowed as the standing ovation happened. His golden eyes looked to the brother, challenging him, calling him, secretly showing him that this was his desiny, even if it wasn't on the actual show, he would be ensnared in Naquos's trap.

Kasai was watching, shocked. He couldn't imagine how they did something so...perfectly. Jay was just as shocked as him, but all the meanwhile he watched for anything that could possibly be off. He didn't like the ring leader still. In fact he was probably more so hating him at this point. There was something about him that was off...and Kasai seemed...pleased by that almost. Which bugged Jay, the fact that Kasai watched the ring-leader's every move.

One the show was over, and Jay saw Naquos's eyes on Kasai, he grabbed his little brother's arm and got up. "Come on, it's time to get home. Father will want to make sure we are alive." He said briskly and Kasai frowned at him.

"But...Jay...." He tried to argue, but his older brother was already beginning to pull him away from the tent. He sighed, knowing full well Jay would drag him if he didn't walk with him. But he wanted to know more. This...person...ringleader had his interest. He wanted to know more about him. But he knew he wasn't allowed to.

"We aren't ever coming back here." Jay muttered as he pulled Kasai along with him. The younger one sighed softly and just followed Jay silently. There was no room to argue.

Naquos watched them go and smirked, he knew they would be back after all. He had ensnared his pray even if one of them didn't want to be ensnared, the other did. Naquos of course always got his way, it never mattered to be honest, he simply did. Perhaps it was fate or magic but Naquos knew that pray would be his. Naquos of course saw someone going after them, he simply tripped that person with his cane.

"Let them go, this is a game of chess." he said simply.

Naquos looked at the ticket holder who looked at him questioningly.

"Ah you question me, I know they didn't pay for the tickets, but I invited them. Also don't you EVER question me!" he said thwacking the poor man on his back and walking away from him.

Naquos of course began the clean up process, he was assured they would be back, during the day the tents were completely closed off as they prepared for the next night. Naquos of course was ordering people around here and there, always willing to give someone a hard time, even so they were all thankful. Naquos's circus had saved them, he took people who were homeless, gave them a job, gave them work, didn't check for drugs or alcohol on them because he didn't care as long as they worked at a reasonable rate.

"Hm need to find a new fortune teller." he said idly to himself.

After all she had apparently quit, god damn that was going to be annoying. He hated to find people, they normally wound up showing up with nowhere else to go since he fed people who hadn't eaten in a while. Naquos of course laid back as they opened the next night, yes they would have to make sure they kept it at the same type of quality as the last night before that. Always willing to make sure that things went perfectly, he refused to drop the grade on that.

Kasai didn't want to stay in his house the next night. After having a very strange dream that night after they had gone to the circus. Instead, he wanted to go see why he was feeling so...entranced by the ringleader. He had easily managed to slip out of the house, of course carrying money with him. He needed to figure this out, he had to. It was driving him insane. His only current problem was probably getting to the circus. He would have to walk there this time...and it was far away from the "rich" part of town.

He sighed, might as well get walking.

------

He got there as quick as he could, cursing as he realized that he was kind of late. He shook his head as he walked in, wondering what he should do. Maybe he should have just asked Jay to drive him here...but his brother seemed...freaked out about this whole thing. Yet, he knew the other was just as memorized as he was. He would have to convince him sooner or later. But now, he needed to figure this out...

Naquos spotted him at the circus, his golden yellow eyes looking at the boy who had arrived. He smirked and walked over.

"I see you came back, and against your brother's wishes no less." he said.

The opening was a few hours away and they were in the tent, as it was evening and the sun was still out a bit. His white locks of hair could be seen, his pale skin could be seen, in fact Naquos looked more beautiful even in the darkened tent then he had at night. Possibly because his features could be seen a little but more with the artificial lighting on, rather then just the moonlight. Naquos of course thought for a moment. "You know it's a little bit funny, I was expecting it yet not. So what has brought you back here? And no less against your brother's whim? Or rather against what any sane person would do which is run? Could it be you're not like them?" asked Naquos. He was playing the game of chess well, he wanted to push a few buttons, he wanted to push the other in the direction he wanted him to go, sure the other would struggle most likely, or rather choose his own path even with Naquos's push, Naquos couldn't control him after all.

But that was the fun in it, to see where it could go, what could be done. What might happen, after all the fates were cruel odd things, they made many things happen upon their own accord, never listening, but watching rather to see what they truly wanted to do. Naquos knew this, yet he played his part, he said what he wanted to say, did what he wanted to do, made his move. He knew the other knew not of what lay ahead, hell even Naquos didn't, after all fortune telling was not particularly his art. His art was something else entirely, it was being the leader, the person in charge, the bastard, the cold or the fun boss, but it was never to show any weakness.

And Naquos wasn't showing weakness yet, however something inside of him told him it wouldn't be long before he would have to, and he wondered idly if his psyche would survive it if he ever did show such a thing, after all it was hard to know if he was supposed to or not. What might lay ahead could be damaging in the sweetest of ways, but Naquos knew not of what lay ahead.

Kasai looked at him, a curious look lay in his eyes still. "So? My brother is too protective sometimes..." Then he mused under his breath, "but I guess he's the only one that cares about me...I guess..." He then looked back up at the other, taking a breath. It was maybe...stunning to see the other. He wasn't sure why, but the other seemed to draw him in. Maybe this was why Jay wouldn't let him come back...because he could draw him in. But I need to remember that Jay could very well show up at any moment to drag me home, he probably knows that I am gone. His head then turned up as the other spoke.

His eyes turned up to look at the other. "I needed to understand a few things. A locked door can't simply keep me from trying to figure everything out." He was honest, but that didn't mean he really wanted to say exactly why he had come back. Maybe that was because he was unsure himself if it was the right thing...but he did know one thing. This man before him was why he wanted to come back here, he wanted to understand him. Why he drew him into him, why he wanted to come back here... Everything. He wanted to know everything.

Maybe a little ambitious, but he defiantly got that from his Father. The man was the top of that, and more so in this city. He probably ran the whole city when he wanted too. He had the ambition to become the best, and he was. Kasai had gotten that from him, his mother just wanted to stay in hiding. Heh, he realized that it was best he was with his Father then, because he was more like him. Then again he would be here even if his Mother wanted him back, because he wouldn't be missed. Jay would be the only one to notice he was gone if anyone.

Which reminded him, he needed to be quick before Jay showed up to bring him back home. He was sure five minutes were about the time that he had left. Jay would be driving here right about now.

Naquos looked at the boy who had come to him and he quickly put up a barrier, the barrier would hide them from the outside world, no one could find them with it. He then leaned on his cane, he looked at the other one with golden eyes. His face was serious, as Naquos was not one to bull shit his way through anything. He of course took off his top hat, putting it down showing his white locks of hair more as he leaned against the wall of the tent and looked at the other, the tent was held up very well and was able to support his weight with ease. He placed both his hands on the cane and looked dignified as he spoke.

"The answers are in your grasp. What I showed you was a possible future, not an actual one. You came with questions, you wanted answers. I gave you one. It doesn't have to be exactly like that, but it's an answer to a lonely heart. Those who come into that booth, well let me put it this way. We see the average customer, we give them what they want then we allow them to leave. But we can see when someone comes in who is looking for something, and we offer a solution." spoke his deep tone.

Naquos was a master chess player, he knew what he wanted, but he was going to allow the other to make their move first. He then smirked a smirk unlike any other, the smirk that allowed the other to know one thing: being out of the grasp of this man once in was very hard to accomplish.

"You see, I just put up a barrier, your brother cannot find you, you have unlimited time here to get your answer, the answer you so desperately seek. I have shown you what I have to offer. But only you can choose your path. I simply offered the path I believed you sought, though not exactly." he explained.

Naquos was explaining then, that he knew, he knew the other was looking for something, that he had offered something, and perhaps it was for his own gain, but it wasn't like he wouldn't allow the other to run, he would. But he knew that the other couldn't run, that this answer was too appealing. If it wasn't so, then the other would not be there as he was at that moment, and that is how Naquos knew so many things, sure it was a gamble to an extent, but most of life was like that.

Kasai listened before he finally spoke. "All I've ever wanted was someone to actually care for me, and want me...not just my Brother. He's been the only one to ever care, but only him. And Father always puts him down for it, for liking me being around. Father doesn't understand me...he doesn't...want me. If you are showing me what I...thought I sought, then where is the one thing that I want in that?" He wanted a for sure answer this time, and not just riddles -that was what he heard-.

He had one other thing on his mind as well. If he...found what he wanted he still wanted his brother to be around. Jay actually cared about him, and he was afraid of what would happen when and if his Father found out Jay didn't get him back to the house. Still, he wasn't going to say that until his other question was answered. He just wanted to understand why him? His eyes slowly closed for a moment as he tried to think about everything again.

He remembered the images. He remembered how he liked seeing them. He remembered how he felt first seeing the ringmaster. Seeing him had pulled him in. He remembered seeing his brother looking the same way, but he was scared. He was scared because he didn't understand...and he doesn't want me to understand either... He realized then after thinking about it. The thought actually amused him a little as well, mostly for the reason that his brother was never afraid of anything.

His eyes opened then and he looked back at the man, silently, but his deep red eyes holding question.

Naquos walked over and grabbed the boy's hand in his, as he looked him straight in the eyes, golden eyes piercing into his soul.

"The circus is a family. I offered you love, the love you've so sought. Perhaps you don't understand. I offered you a family that I don't offer most. But moreso then that, I have offered myself. A connection could be built I believe." he explained.

Naquos let go of his hand and looked at him with those serious eyes, a way of saying that he was wanted, he was wanted by Naquos. The reason? Well Naquos hadn't even fathomed that yet, in truth he found the other attractive, and he wanted someone to share things with, he had for a while. But over the years Naquos had waited patiently, through the years many things had happened, and he wasn't good at being vulnerable.

"I'm asking you to be a part of this family, I have been since the beginning. Because I knew, I knew that you were lost when you came looking for those answers, so I offered you this. It wasn't meant to be exact, but hopefully that is the answer you were looking for." spoke Naquos.

Naquos himself was remaining calm, his eyes were the only thing that gave away that he wanted the other there, perhaps the kid knew nothing of him, but he would learn in time. Besides, the circus was a family, albeit odder then most, it was just as dysfunctional yet loving in a way as others. Naquos was willing to show the other what he wanted to a point, he couldn't necessarily go into the details of what he wanted in any relationship, but he was willing to give the other a chance to process.

"Your brother is right though, this is a very dangerous path, despite us being a family, it is a dangerous family." he explained, his final warning to the other before he'd let him decide.

A family... Kasai was still and silent for a long moment before his eyes closed slowly. "I...I do not worry about it being dangerous. I am not scared of danger, it is part of my Mother's genetics. And I...but I want to know one...thing..." He was hesitant then as he thought about his life and what would change as soon as he happened to say anything. "I..." He once again paused and then closed his eyes, thinking it over a few more times before he whispered.

"If I could convince my brother to agree then would you let him be here with me? He does... He will be in trouble if I'm not with him and I... He has cared about me... He is the only one that ever has cared about me before now..." He looked at the other. "Please." He wanted his brother with him...but he wasn't sure if he was allowed to have him with him or not.

It made him worried. He cared about his brother, and he did not want him to get hurt. He did not want it to be his fault. If anything he wanted his brother to smile at him and tell him everything was going to be alright. He wanted to have him there...he needed him to be there. He wasn't sure if he would go through with this if he wasn't allowed to be there with him.

Naquos thought momentarily and removed the barrier, just in time for his brother to see them, after all Naquos had a sixth sense. His smirk was curved and he nodded. "Your brother may join us." he spoke.

Naquos of course was a warm man when he wanted to be, but most of the time he was rather cold. In fact he'd been such a cold bastard in many ways for so long that he'd obtained many nicknames, the white devil was the one that stuck the most. Naquos was not too cruel though, he did allow certain things. Even so he always got what he desired, because he made sure of it. There were a few things he had not been allowed in his life, and he didn't want to speak of those things, no he made himself a winning record, and that was what was important. Naquos saw the brother come in and his eyes looked at him curiously, he wondered just how this third component would change the chess game he'd been playing.

"Girls, guard the exits." he ordered.

The quadruplet pixies moved to guard the exits, making sure no one could get in our out, Naquos of course was silent for a moment.

"Upon your brother's request I have allowed you here again, he was granted permission first. I must know, what is it you first disliked about this place?" asked Naquos simply. He seemed dead serious, even to the point of silence that was deafening around them. He looked to the brother he liked.

"I do hope my question is alright with you." he said, in a way Naquos was being nicer then he usually was, even so the seriousness of his tone was enough to tell them not to try and pull anything of a stunt, after all Naquos was the master of stunts.

Jay was uneasy as he walked into the circus, almost feeling out of place. The feeling from before came back to him. He sensed a small bit of fear within himself as well as that strange interest. He took a deep breath and then walked along, glancing around. Then he saw the person that made him worried for the safety of his brother. He walked over slowly, and then tried to relax. He closed his eyes for a moment before opening them when he heard the other. He listened silently to what he had to say.

He bit his lip for a moment as Kasai nodded a little. Jay looked at his brother...then at the ringmaster. His head began to spin as he listened to his options. "The feeling I got." He said then. "Something...something began to bug me. I don't know why...but after a bit I couldn't take it anymore. It was suffocating. And I don't know where it was coming from. It was everywhere almost. Even the regular people here. I don't know why. I just had that feeling. And it's not the first time." He said the last sentence after a short pause.

Kasai blinked in slight confusion before he understood after a moment. He got what the other was talking about now. "..." He frowned. Sometimes his brother did start suffocating sometimes. It was strange. Jay had explained it before but sometimes he couldn't actually believe the other. He was silent but he lightly grabbed his brother's hand and whispered "It's alright" after a small moment.

Naquos looked at the brother and he smirked. "That's called the intensity of this place." he explained.

Naquos walked around showing that the circus was currently down, and none of that intensity was there. His golden eyes looked back at the other two.

"This place is a place to show pain." he said.

Naquos looked at the coworkers. "Everyone here has had pain in their lives, a pain like no other, the kind of pain that drove them to this place. The intensity of this place is due to that pain. The regular people jeer at our pain, which is on display, our freakish natures are given out to the crowd for their pleasure, but we do it to express ourselves, and because if we take their money, then we are getting the last laugh. That money is their slavery in a way to our pain, because they do find it entertaining. The facts that you both ran away, lets me know that you are not like them. Or rather the one who was entranced, you weren't entertained, you were empathetic to a point and entranced, the other ran away because it was too much, no?" he explained.

Naquos had explained everything that the circus was. "This place is a family because we help each other through the pain, and yes it can be intense, and it can be hard, and sometimes we all suffer. But in the end, this place is our home, and it creates an environment like no other." he said.

Naquos was playing chess, to see if this would draw them in, he was playing chess by using the truth, a trick within another trick, a way that most could not use the truth, he wielded it. With a bit of sarcasm and bitchiness of course, Naquos's nature wasn't perfectly blunt.

Kasai and Jay watched him, listening. They knew what he was getting at, both of them were understanding. Jay closed his eyes and tried to think of everything before whispering something softly. "So...if we stayed here...this would be a family that would care...and not hate us...for once?" He opened his eyes then and looked back at the other, his eyes searching for anything he could find to answer this.

Kasai was choosing to be silent, letting Jay speak. He was all for this, but he wanted his brother to be here. He was wanting him to agree with this, praying he would. He clasped his brother's hand tightly who was holding it already tightly. He looked down then and kept his mouth shut.

For a split moment he was worried about their father finding them, but then he remembered the spell. Hopefully the man was not smart enough to think about that and drag him back off. He didn't want to go home where his Father hated him and his other brother scorned him and saw him as a monster. He didn't want to keep living that life.

(Sorry it's short I'm like, braindead)

Naquos's response to the question was a slight smirk and a nod. "Indeed that is true." he said. Naquos walked around for a moment before he pushed his cane into the ground, a circle appeared magically and suddenly all of their possessions were there, packed perfectly of course. The cane came back up and Naquos gave a jerk of the head to the quadruplets. "Find them a tent, a nice one." he said. The four girls nodded and ran, he looked back at them then.

"No one besides you two is human who works here. The girls are pixies, I'm a vampire, and most of the others are various races of demon. So that is why this is a night circus, I don't enter the sunlight. Even so, your father won't be able to find you, I can assure you. This place is ran by magical beings, and even if he did come, we would stop him." explained Naquos sternly.

Naquos of course worked his magics putting up the barrier again, the sun was in the sky still as it was 3 pm. "Which means during the day, you will sleep, at night you will work. Do not fret, I will find you something easy to work at first." he said looking to them both.

Naquos of course gave a moment before he did say one more thing. "I'm not making you stay though, you may leave if you wish. But it seems like you've been looking for something like this for some time, no?" he said.

Naquos of course turned and watched the quadruplets come back in. "So did you find one?" he asked.

They nodded and went to look at the things, he looked to them. "So what';; it be?" asked Naquos.
