A thud in the other room quickly drew him from his thoughts, his attention directed to the door that separated him from the ruckus. He withdrew himself at first, taking a step back before taking silent steps towards it touching the knob gingerly. He heard Aka's voice, it sounded rather fretful. Perhaps he was on the phone, angered by something but his voice sounded to shaken. A thought occurred that it was possibly an intruder and he twisted the knob, ready for anything. He burst through the door, the sudden appearance he hoped would startle any other being in the room but there was no one, only Aka pinned against a wall in a frightened state.

He rushed to him noticing his state, placing both his hands on the man's shoulders. What could be happening to him? Beneath his feet was an empty pill bottle, he recognized it from the other day at the diner. He was apprehensive, his expression lost as to what he could do at this point to draw the man out of his disturbed state of mind. "Aka!" He called, all formalities dropped as a sense of panic set in. "Aka! What's wrong? No one is here!" His voice was raised trying to reach out to him. He gripped the man's shoulders and shook him very gently. "I'm here... It's okay." Now his tone more soothing, hoping the approach would reassure the CEO that was really nothing to worry about at this point, except that Tsubasa was standing rather close to him now trying to get him to look into his eyes.

"Aka... "Yuuki... I want to live again... I'm tired of wanting to die... Please, Yuuki stop..." He spoke softly, trying to reason with the invisible women. He didn't notice Tsubasa near him, or even touching him. "Please... Yuuki... I don't like the darkness anymore..." Shivering, his very body was a sorrowful sight to see, almost as if he was going through withdrawals. "Just leave me alone!!!" He screamed loudly. Suddenly his eyes widened, he snapped back,"It's okay... I'm here...". Focusing on the man before him, he moved away quickly. "Oh my god... Y-you s-saw that..." He shot his eyes and head in different directions. He didn't know what to say or how to feel. "...-I-I..." Sighing, he was at a loss for words. What could he possibly say.

"Sorry, you had to see that..." Both shame and embarrassment coated his cheeks and expression. "S-say something, please...?" Asked his voice softly. His back was to and open bathroom door, and his body still facing the younger. "I-if you want to leave you can... I would if I were you... Who wants to deal with a smug, alcoholic, schizophrenic boss like me?" Behind his self loathing sentences, he was lonesome... He really wanted some kind of compassion.

The man continued his fit, drawing Tsubasa to the conclusion this man was fighting a battle in his own mind. Such an inner struggle he could see through Aka's shaky eyes. Finally he came too and Tsubasa watched him stare at him wide eyed. A soft smile drew on his lips, finally consciousness. 'Darkness...' The thought came to light in his mind, despite it's underlying meaning. He couldn't help but feel a sense of empathy towards Aka's words. He suddenly felt a pang of guilt in his gut, maybe had judged this man too soon. There was such a lonely aura about him he didn't understand how he couldn't have seen this before. He stepped back and allowed Aka some space. Lowering his head to the floor he offered silence as the man collected himself.

He heard the man advise him to leave but he ignored it, letting it slip away in nothingness. He would have felt as if he were abandoning a broken soul, leaving it there to drown in its own self pity. The embarrassment on the others face was evident and he turned slightly away with a hurt expression. "It's fine, Sir. As long as you're okay now." He finally said crossing his arms. He needed to draw him away from his struggle, from the deteriorating thoughts that were causing him such grief. "Sir, would you like to go for a walk? It's a nice day out, there doesn't seem to much I can do here, you keep a very clean house." His words were to the point but his voice was soft and airy, allowing his emotions to show a vulnerability as if to show Aka he was human too.

"Actually... I'd rather stay... I'm rather exhausted... Walking doesn't seem very appealing... Thank you though..." He spoke softly as his head was turned away. Pondering for a moment, the air seemed awkward to him, and then he suddenly had a thought about something that they could do. "-What about TV...? Would you watch TV with me? And ice cream... I can get ice cream delivered... That sounds good..." His dull green eyes stated trained on the floor still curled in that position.

A faint sigh fell off his lips as he came to his feet," I'm sorry for being me... and for a few days ago..." He walked past the man on the floor and began for his living room. He made his way to the couch, plopping down onto it lazily. TV...? Was that really his best idea? Maybe he was trying to pretend to be normal again- have friends or people interested in spending time with him and him with them. It was all a mystery, why he did what he did.

He hadn't expected an apology and he was hesitant, yet again, to comment or even think about what was going on. He let out a sigh, feeling satisfied that he was at least back to normal or what appeared to be normal. He was no longer in turmoil and this brought warmth to Tsubasa. He nodded quietly and followed the man, sitting beside him. There wasn't much else to do around so perhaps relaxing for a bit would help break the ice that shattered and crashed the days before but bring to light a man who appeared lonely and just needed a companion to sit and chat with. He relaxed into this thought and it exuded in his presence. He watched the screen with a distant interest, finding himself ignoring it for his own thoughts. "I'm good on the ice cream, my brother will kill me if he found out I had dessert before dinner." He stated, laughing heartily quietly.

Just then it occurred to him and he dug in his pocket for his phone. There was an unread message from his brother and he quickly opened it, cursing inwardly. "I'm inside, where the shit are you?!" He grew irritated and rose to his feet sticking the phone back into his pocket. "Excuse me, Aka. I have to go to pee." He stated nervously exiting the room. His brother had a talent and it wasn't just the fact he could paint but he had an art of breaking and entering. It didn't surprise Tsubasa in the least his brother was able to sneak his way in but now his plan was disintegrating, he didn't need this kind of trouble. He slipped into the nearest bathroom and as he turned he gasped, finding Haru standing right in front of him.

"You have to go." Tsubasa stated, stepping close to his brother speaking in a hushed tone. Haru tilted his head slightly and smirked deviously. "No, no, no... I'm here and I'm ready to have a little fun." He replied, stepping even closer to make Tsubasa uncomfortable, which it did. "You don't get it, Haru, change of plans. We are just going to sit and watch TV then I'm going home at 8." Haru didn't seem pleased with this and shook his head. "Well, you don't get it big brother. I'm going to sit and watch tv with this guy and maybe I'm going to have my fun." He knew how far he could push it and he was willing to go the whole mile. Tsubasa started to back up but Haru gripped his arm and shoved him away from the door then opening it. As he stepped away he smirked again, raising an eyebrow. He knew once he was out the door there was nothing his brother could do but sit and brew unless he wanted to get charged with a crime of trespassing. "Sit tight, I promise it'll be okay." With that he winked and shut the door looking around his surroundings.

Tsubasa gaped at the audacity of his brother and had to sit down to try to conjure a way out of all this mess. Meanwhile Haru, a complete replica of his brother, started back to the room, peeking in through doors to try to find his way. Finally he reached Aka's room and strode in sitting down next him. His eyes glanced over to him and he tilted his head slightly, amused. The man was good looking, he didn't seem like the man Tsubasa had described. He put on a normal steeled expression his brother had long perfected only he tweaked it with a slight opening of his lips. "Say, Sir, would you like to drink?" He asked, trying to draw the man's eyes into his own.

Lazily, he dropped his head back onto the couch as the other left for the bathroom. Sighing lightly, he ran a hand lightly through his hair as he relaxed into the couch. The hand in his hair falling onto the couch, a leg crossing over the other. Simply put, he was in a comfortable position. He brought his head up and watch the TV screen, a random mystery drama playing- a modern derivative of Sherlock and Watson with a medical twist. A comedic line played from the speakers, a lively chuckle fell of his lips as he nibbled the side of fingers out of habit.

Before long another commercial came on, the man's attention wavering between boredom and amusement. Glancing back toward the hall where his bathroom resided, his brow knitted together with concern for the other. It was taking the other male quite sometime to return, was he having trouble? It wasn't his business either way. His eyes trailed back to the TV as he waited, the show returning just as he did so. A grin followed a light laugh as another joke danced across the air.

The sound of footsteps nearing didn't distracted him to much, his fingers still his unconscious way of saying 'I'm hungry'. Then suddenly his nose flared for a moment. The air was different, something smell of caramel rather than apples or whatever that smell was that accompanied the other man. Akamatsu could feel the eyes of the other on him, he promptly ignored it until... "Say, Sir, would you like to drink?" Those dull green grey hues moved towards the others, meeting that other man's eyes. Smirking, a devious light streaked across his eyes. "Sure... How do you like hard liquor or sake? I don't do the light stuff." This was a sad excuse for being played, it insulted him. If he was going to be tested like a juvenile then he was going to play the teacher- and he knew he could out smart this particular teacher...

Tsubasa cursed under his breath and his leg shook nervously as he rested his elbows on his knees. He had to think of a way out of this and he knew just bursting through the doors and revealing the fact he had did the old switch-a-roo on his boss would definitely get him fired. He yanked his phone out and began to text his brother, filling the context with contempt and nasty threats. Back in the room Haru ignored his phone that constantly buzzed in his pocket. He was fascinated by this man now and narrowed his eyes slightly as he shifted his position. He knew his brother like the back of his hand and knew well how to fall into character.

He paused, letting a moment slip by before responding with a hesitant nod. "Sake will be ok. I don't drink much but I just think it would be a good ice breaker." He spoke softly, cupping his hands together. He was impressed by the condo and even more interested in it's owner, despite the things he's heard the man is capable of.

  • 2 weeks later...

His expression shifted from amusement to a plain dull one," Okay..." Standing to his feet he slid his hands into his pockets and made slow strides to the kitchen. Disguising his expressions and thoughts were easy, it was something one would have to master in his business. Not that this choice bit of information was relevant, but one would consider it useful for future reference. Nonetheless, Aka bent at the knees, lowering his body to open a cabinet that was on the end of the island in the center of his kitchen. From out of the cabinet, he removed two sake glasses. On it's own, the cabinet shut lightly, making hardly any sound at all. Inside Aka was a churning desire to consume as much alcohol as possible, to drowned all the feeling his was feeling- or all the things he wasn't. And yet, he ignored this strong urge and desire, he simply pushed it aside and began for the refrigerator.

Quickly, he grabbed a fancy bottle of sake, one of the higher class brands- but, nothing to be praised. Twirling his body volt-face, he pulled off the bottle's cork with ease. Delicately he poured the evil nectar into the two cups, filling them to their rims. Once this task was fulfilled, Aka set the sake glass down, and began to carry the sake glasses over the the couch. He was careful in handing the younger a sake glass, his goal being not to spill it. "Here you are...", his voice worded sweetly before he moved from out of the other's way. Within a few steps, he was seated," Cheers..." Holding his glass towards the other's, he was awaiting for the younger to clink his glass with his own.

Haru noticed the change in the man's demeanor. A cold chill creeping about the room lead him to believe there was much more to him than one could easily perceive from just a few meaningless encounters of sexual harassment. He knew well of the masks man wore to hide their inner inhibitions, or rather the demons that plagued them. He felt excited by this challenge, a true testament to one's will was deciding whether to break or enforce their walls. His hand gracefully slipped the glass from Aka's and he returned the gesture, clinking it softly against the other glass. He downed the whole shot in one gulp, the burn of the alcohol causing a quiet hiss of air to escape his throat as he set the glass down. A soft smile played on his lips, within a few moments a subtle buzz tickled inside of his stomach. "I haven't drank in a while, I apologize I might be somewhat of a light weight." He said with a light giggle, a soft pink tinge on his cheeks.

He settled back into the couch and let out a soft sigh, his eyes trailing towards the tv and back to Aka. "Sir, tell me, is this business something you really love to do?" He blinked quizzically then shook his head slightly. "Forgive me, I don't mean to pry..." His voice was innocent and quiet, his eyes moving away and back to whatever was playing on the tv.

"Yes," Shot the CEO quickly. "I... I love what I do...." Aka smiled and look at the man across from him. "I like pretending everything is perfect, I like my power, I like being one of the guys at the top. This was my dream...", he murmured further. Noticing the pink on the other's cheek and smirked. "It's okay- no need to apologize..." Coming to his feet, the elder smirked. "Would you like another shot of sake...?", asked the man lightly. he trying to cox the other into a vulnerable state- or even a less guarded one.

His stance was poised, but relaxed. A hand in his pocket and his hip leaning on one leg- it was cute and alluring slightly. He had that perfect smile on his face- the kind that swooned women. He held out a hand in silence. Becoming impatient he took the cup from the other, leaning closely to his face, eyes on the cup. "Let me take this off of your hands..."

A slight nod indicated his permission to admit him another drink. At this point, he knew his older twin would have declined but it was to his advantage Aka was unaware of his drinking habits. He, himself, was a veteran drinker but even sake had it's way of knocking him on his ass if he didn't know his limits, however, two drinks couldn't do much harm he hoped. He feigned a smile as he listened to Aka's response to his question, a hint of disappointment in his expression or rather empathy, it could have been hard to discern. He found it hard to determine if there was any inclination of sarcasm in his words. "Pretend everything is perfect? Why don't you just make sure they are?" His tone was carefree, as if he were becoming more comfortable and less worried about saying something that would offend the other male.

He eyed Aka with interest, his eyes narrowing slightly instinctively as if finding prey. He had to quickly remind himself he was Tsubasa and he rose to his feet letting out a nervous chuckle. "You seem like a perfectionist is all I'm saying, I think you play yourself down." He approached him and stopped a few inches away, holding out his hand. "Let me help you with that." He offered to hold the cup as Aka pour them another drink. "I have to say for myself, my days can be quite mundane. I love that I have a job, if that counts, I just wish I was doing more to help people..." His voice fell, as if ashamed of the fact he just said that. "I didn't mean that, I do love my job, I just- I wish there was more I could do for the company." He felt satisfied with that and fell silent, a half smile awkwardly playing on his lips.

"Pretend everything is perfect? Why don't you just make sure they are?" Aka's eyes met with other's for a moment, almost glaring. "Because nothing is perfect...", Shot the elder. Moving his eyes away he walked over to the kitchen. "You seem like a perfectionist is all I'm saying, I think you play yourself down." He could hear the other's footsteps approaching. His eye moved, his head turning to face the other. He rested back against the island behind him. "You seem to be holding back...", he crossed his arms," I am indeed a perfectionist, and unlike you may perceive, I'm a very selfish man..." He turned back around and began to open the sake bottle. "Let me help you with that." Aka shrugged and allowed the other to hold the cups as he poured the sake.

"I didn't mean that, I do love my job, I just- I wish there was more I could do for the company." Smirking, the CEO set the sake glasses down. "You don't usually say things without thinking it through first... Is the sake getting to you...?", asked the sly voice of his as he sipped his sake. "Do you really like your job or are you just saving-face?"

He blinked, a look of mortification temporarily crossing his expression before he furrowed his brows and bit his lip gently. He thought of this man as callous and uncaring but the indication of the man's words insinuated a man of purpose but perhaps lost in meaning. Haru found himself perplexed by him, unable to judge his character due to his erratic behavioral nuances. He wasn't simply just one man of one simple fortitude, but someone who was struggling to keep it altogether by means of a facade by constantly changing who he was or what he stood for even it meant lying to himself and others. He could tell the man wasn't who he said he was or who he was trying to be but that he hid himself so well from the world that he didn't even know who he was.

He scoffed quietly at Aka's remark and downed the next cup, relaxing into the warmth growing in his belly. His body tingled and he invited the debacle of his demeanor as it became more open washing away the tension inside him. "Forgive me, it's not often that I drink and I have to admit I like to indulge myself when I do. " He spoke offhandedly setting the empty glass on the counter. "I do enjoy my job. There are aspects I find mundane but for the most part I like it. I work with intelligent people who over the years I am privileged to call my friends. To me, that kind of companionship is irrevocable." He finished with a smile, his cheeks beaming with a pink tinge from the sake running it's course through his body. He took a step closer and leaned onto the island, his eyes peering up into Aka's. "Like you, Sir. I am glad I have gotten to know you a little better. I do hope we can continue to get to know each other better..." His voice ended almost in a quizzical and hopeful tone as if it were more of a request or question rather than a solid statement.

Smirking, the CEO was amused by this man, well, his mortified expression is more like it. A really stunning performer was what Aka would pass the shorter male as, though he couldn't help but sense a tinge of the man's real self in his words. "Curiouser and curiouser," he thought, his eyes adverted the other's observing gaze just before knocking back the cup of sake. A faint hissing sound of relief resounded from his throat- the kind that one would make after tossing back a strong brandy. Lightly he set the glass down on the counter as he used his sleeve to wipe his lips delicately. His expression reverted back to that dull plain one as he observed the other further, he could tell the other was doing the same. Softly, an ear-to-ear grin appeared on the cold man's cheeks- the younger's cheeks being so pink made him chuckle. Maybe this impostor Tsubasa isn't so bad... Maybe he could do this... Or what if he was wrong and this was Tsubasa? "No, it isn't Tsubasa", thought Aka to himself," There are to many things that Tsu wouldn't have done..."

He held his smile in place," Indulge yourself, huh?" Those dull eyes shimmered as he gave a light chuckle. Those green dull hues followed the other's sake glass back to the counter, but he listened to the words that fell ever so carefully into the air as he did so. Lifting his sight back to the younger's fixed gaze he simply listened until he was startled by a unexpected movement, the smaller now being closer and leaning on the island- eyes fixed on each other. Aka hid his uncertainty and general since of curiosity- he couldn't be enticed by this incubus just yet. "Like you, Sir. I am glad I have gotten to know you a little better. I do hope we can continue to get to know each other better..." He closed his eyes and dropped his head slightly, a small grin returning to his features. After a moment of inner mocking, he looked up- face straight as ever- eyes meeting. Green hues moved back down as he poured himself another cup of the evil nectar, his body backing away from the island slightly as he knocked another cup back. He set the cup down and raised his eyes once again to met the other's. "How far can I toy with you... fake?", asked the elder to himself as he pondered for a mere moment.

Without warning, Aka began for the younger at a rather nonchalant pace. Before a rejection could be made, the CEO slid a hand to the small of the shorter man's back pulling him closer- his lips met the other's instantly. It was a rather light kiss and as light as passion could get. He pulled away, eyes hidden by his hair, and leaned in to whisper in his ear. "Where's Tsubasa...?", He asked with a smirk.

He gasped quietly as he was taken by surprise, lips suddenly against his so faintly it took him a moment to process what had just happened. He couldn't help but smirk inwardly, a devilish playful feeling awakening in him. He gazed into Aka's eyes silently for a moment, his expression emotionless. His black eyes only darkened as he lowered his head slightly, his hair brushing against Aka's face. "Aren't we just two peas in a pod?" He remarked in a low trembling voice. He didn't move or try to move as Aka whispered into his ear which earned a smile to creep onto his face. "Are you delusional?" He asked quietly, his lips centimeters from the CEO's neck which was positioned so perfectly before him. "You see me don't you? I am Tsubasa, or I can be whoever you want me to be."

He couldn't help any longer, his tongue flicked the warm skin and his body began to press back against Aka's. He moved his face back and made an expression identical to Tsubasa's hesitance and slowly stretched up, pressing his lips against Aka's firmly. He held it there for a moment, faintly drawing in Aka's lower lip. He moved his head back and gazed up at him with a glazed longing look. "You're not-" He paused for a moment, his eyes moving over the man's dull expression. "You're not in over your head are you, Sir?" He asked calmly, hardly any inflection in his voice except mild curiosity.

"Are you delusional?" Aka's eyes narrowed with a hurt expression he hid. "You of all people should know that if you are who you say you are...", murmured the elder. "You see me don't you? I am Tsubasa, or I can be whoever you want me to be." A heavy sigh fell from Aka's lips," If I wanted another heartless relationship Tsubasa wouldn't even be here, and you're not Tsubasa- you don't even have the same pheromone..." The skin were he was licked grew cold quickly, and his lips did not reply to the younger's advance.

His dull expression being nothing but emotionless. "You're not in over your head are you, Sir?" The elder smirked looking down at the younger. "I've been in over my head for so long that I've forgotten what that phrase even means..." Pulling away from the other he smirked," I'm going to go get Tsu now, bye...", Aka walked off down the short hallway and to the bathroom, opening the door. "You're really something, Tsubasa. You and your shadow get the fuck out of my house." He smiled so beautifully, it was noticeably painful and fake. "Don't bother cleaning my house." Slamming the door and stormed toward his room," If you're really that horny-", he began at Tsubasa's brother,"-Come back in thirty minutes." Within seconds he was in his room, the door slammed shut.

Haru watched in shock for only a moment before crossing his arms and observing the man leave the room. He slowly followed after and leaned against the wall as Aka exposed Tsubasa who had the most the panicked look across his face as he stumbled to his feet and stared wide-eyed at the CEO. His eyes darted between Aka and Haru and his voice choked in his throat as the older male stormed away leaving Haru alone with him. He couldn't express in words the surprise and shock he felt and started after Aka before a hand grabbed him and pulled him back. "Don't bother... We should get out of here, this guy is a nut job." Haru's voice spoke dully, a smirk edged on his lips before it quickly disappeared. "This guy is lost in his way, Tsubasa. He's just going to drag you down with him." His voice was much softer now.

Tsubasa stared at his brother with disbelief and yanked his arm away. "Are you serious?! Have you gone mad with stupidity? You have no idea who he is and this was the worst idea I could ever have come up with!" He shouted, his voice bouncing off the hallway. "I was just as stupid as you at that moment and I have to set things right! I swear to god Haru if you got me fir-" "HEY! You called me, remember?! Just because your clever little plan backfired on you doesn't mean I deserve all the blame! Do me a favor and don't involve me with your whack job employees or friends or anything else if you can't handle it! I'm outta here Tsubasa, you go back in there you're just asking for a world of hurt." Haru's voice growled before turned on his heel and strode away, exiting as quickly as he could.

Tsubasa stared at the empty space where Haru once stood for a moment before turning towards the door, his breath beginning to become unsteady and his heart pounding in his chest. He stepped carefully and quietly towards the door and sighed heavily, bowing his head in shame. He didn't bother to knock or walk in, but couldn't leave without manning up. "S-sir." His voice trembled and threatened to give out on him. "I.. This plan... You see..." His mind was racing and words flew at him a thousand miles a second. He clutched the fabric on his chest and breathed in slowly then let it out. "It was very immature of me... I know it doesn't justify what I did but I didn't know you and I was afraid... But when I saw you after I had already called my brother I knew I made a huge mistake." He paused and hesitated, listening to the dead silence on the other side of the door. "I'm very sorry... I... I will have my letter of resignation ready for you by morning and you won't ever see me again. Please, take care of yourself..." His voice shook with sadness and he quickly turned away and started towards the door before disappearing out of the house. He couldn't hold back the tears any longer and refused to let anyone, including his brother, see him in this torn emotional state. It took several hours of walking around the park before he had calmed himself and made it home. It was going to be a long night.

He had just slammed his door when a heated argument began. His body slid down the wood door as he listened carefully to words they spout at each other, but he simply did nothing. It wasn't very long until he heard Tsubasa's footsteps approaching. His body stiffened and he lowered his head- his green gems reflecting small twinkles of light. The apology fell on the silence- he had already accepted it just as he had expected it. The next part caught him off guard though-"You won't have to see me ever again..." Aka shot up to his feet and opened the door, but Tsu was already gone. His eyes fell heavy with hurt as he went to shut the front door.

As much as he wanted to hate the man and never forgive him- he did it in minutes if not seconds. "Never see you again...", echoed through his mind as he grabbed the saki bottle off the counter and chugged it. Quickly the glass bottle was empty, but it wasn't enough to fill the void of nothingness he felt. Bending down he grabbed his beloved brandy and pulled off the top. He took a moment to think if he could, to examine the bottle. He knew doing this would be anything but helpful or beneficial. Pushing aside his worries he lifted the bottle to he lips and tipped it back, drinking a third of the large bottle. He didn't stop there- he continued to tip it back until the bottle was empty. Once the glass container had no use he just dropped it, making it shatter across the floor.

He turned around and opened a cabinet, pulling out a never-opened bottle of vodka. then he began for the bedroom and then the bathroom. He turned the water on as he drank large sips of the alcohol in his hands. when the bottle was about half empty the tub was full. He slid in without regard for his clothing. Simply the man drank and sang with a drunken ring in his voice. Within minutes the bottle was empty, and he dropped it without knowing. "Fuck it..." he murmured closing his eyes, beginning to drift off asleep.

Tsubasa slipped in through the front door quietly, sliding off his shoes and almost tip toeing across the wooden slats. The aged floor betrayed him, creaking and moaning through the silence that laid in the house. With a heavy sigh he made his way to the kitchen table and pulled out a chair, slumping into it. On cue his brother, Haru, turned the corner with arms crossed and a disgusted grimace across his face. Tsubasa only glanced up for a second before looking away a bit annoyed. The two shared an uncomfortable silence for several moments before Haru took his seat across from him and slouched in his position. "So, how'd it go?" There was a hint of amusement in his tone. Tsubasa shook his head and narrowed his eyes at him. "Haru, I can admit I made a mistake..." He spoke sternly, his voice dangerously low. There was a pause as he stared down his brother. "You made a fool of me..."

Haru snorted. "You made a fool of yourself. You don't get it, brother. You make these rash decisions at the last minute because you don't know what else to do." He leaned forward in his seat his eyes glaring into Tsubasa's who started to speak but was quickly cut off. "You see, I can understand something about that man that I see in you. You are so lost in your ways you constantly allow fantasy and illusions to delude your reality that is right in front of you. You are to busy running away you are just a coward too weak to face your demons and conquer your fear." He let out a sigh and sat back slightly shifting in his chair as he became restless. "Look, I'm sorry... You are my brother and I could have handled that a little better but you are going to have to start fighting your own battles." His eyes fell on the table then back up at Tsubasa who gulped hard and was letting his words sink in.

Haru rose from his seat and started to walk away before he stopped and let out a heavy sigh. "I know exactly what you're thinking... and what you're planning and I'm telling you, you run away again you're only hurting yourself. You deserve to be happy, stop denying yourself the best luxury in life." He waved a hand and disappeared into his room before Tsubasa could speak and left him with his thoughts. He hadn't expected his brother to get off so easily but the guilt in his chest was heavy. He knew what his brother was referring to and finally set his resolve. He couldn't run anymore, Haru was right about that. He went to his room and began to lay out his clothes for work, running his hands over the soft fabric slowly. He was lost in his own mind, struggling to make the right choice but only morning could give him the results he was looking for and settled in bed to try and get some sleep.

The next morning was quiet... Too quiet... An early alarm rang noisily around the master bedroom- but, there was no reply to it's beckoning call. The halls were silent, the couch empty, the TV still playing, and shattered glass covering the granite floor still to this moment. A simple phone ringtone jingled into the sound filled air, one missed call, two missed calls, three and counting. The name of the caller was none there than Akamatsu's assistant, Moka.

From the other side of the still ringing phone, Moka began to worry. "It's not like him to be this late... Something is wrong... I can't go find him- I have to juggle his appointments- Wait! I know!" Moka pressed the floor 6 key, a man answered groggy-like, "Hello...?" "Is Tsubasa or Yusuke there yet? Have they clocked in?" Here voice was quick and high pitched. "Owh- No." "Then call me when they are! It's an emergency!", quickly she hung up. "I hope there's nothing wrong with Akamatsu..."

The morning sun beamed into Tsubasa's room and he rolled on his side, trying at a futile attempt to ignore it's presence. His eyes were half open, deep shadows circling them from sleeplessness. He felt worn out, mentally drained after hours of replaying the incident from the night before in his head throughout the night. Finally he moaned unceremoniously and sat up, eying the clothing he had set out with faint disdain. It took him a while to find it in himself to get up and dress himself but as soon he stood in front of a small mirror in his room the weight became much heavier. He sighed loudly and made his way to the kitchen a small brown bag awaited him, perched on a counter with a small piece of paper folded next to it. He fingered the note then opened it, reading over it. "Hey bro, thought this would help you feel better. :)"

Inside was a solitary chocolate chip cookie, a gesture of endearment on his brother's behalf. He couldn't help but smirk and shake his head softly at his brother's delicate way of making light of their situation but it did little to help the strain on his relationship with the CEO and the agony it was putting him through. He shoved part of the cookie in his mouth and made off to work in a slow, foreboding stride. He made a point to avoid any and all eye contact and as much human interaction as he possibly could get away with with the exception of the doorman. He practically ducked into his cubicle and slid into his chair, almost instantly burrowing his head into a pile of paperwork waiting for him.

As soon as Tsubasa was seated, his manager walked by, passing him up at first. The manager back tracked a few steps while rubbing his eyes and yawning. "Oh- Yeah. Tsubasa-kun, Moka wants you on the top floor- something about an emergency-eh Idonno..." The manager walked away lazily. What kind of emergency could Moka be having? The manager himself would have been puzzled if he wasn't so asleep.

Moka jungle between the phone and the computer expertly," Ah- Yessir, He'll be free tomorrow at 6:30- one second sir. Akamatsu Financial, pleas hold.- Yes 6:30 sir-" It was quiet minus her flaring voice. Aka really knew how pick 'em- well, days to miss that is.

((Sorry for the shortness- I didn't know what else to say for this part >w

He felt a body stop behind him and stiffened his shoulders as the voice informed him he was being summoned. He wished more than anything at that moment he was a statue but knew it was only a matter of time. He nodded, his eyes never meeting the others as he rose from his seat and made the short trip to the elevator in silence. Several moments later he found himself before the CEO's secretary and hung his head low, dreading whatever it was to come. It could have been any numerous of things but most of all he figured the man was expecting his letter of resignation sooner and wanted him out of the building. Despite this thought he took it as an opportunity to tell Aka his resolve, try and reason with him and perhaps, just maybe, keep his job.

He bowed formerly to her and kept his eyes down, trying to hide the shame in his expression and the growing nervousness quite evident in his demeanor. "Y-yes ma-am? You called me?" He stumbled through the words quietly, curiosity slightly hinted in his tone as to the emergency his manager had yawned out at him.

Moka groaned and smiled into the phone as Tsubasa appeared before her," Yes sir, he will be back tomorrow~ I swear~ Okay, bye~!" Hanging up the phone she sighed and ran a hand through her hair- she looked and seemed stressed. "Finally you're here! I was beginning to wonder if you'd ever show up!" She hug Tsubasa from over her desk- he then pulled back quickly and awkwardly. "S-sorry about that I've just been really busy..." The phone is ringing- multiply lines being held up.

A quick sigh fell before she plopped back into her chair. "-Anyway. I'm worried about Akamatsu-san. He didn't come into work today and he isn't picking up his cell phone or his house phone. I'm afraid something may have happened... -And I wouldn't ask you this if I could do it myself, but as you can see I'm pretty busy trying to pick up his mess. I need you, Tsubasa, to go and make sure he's alive- here's the key to his house...", Moka handed Tsu the key. "Now, before you refuse, just let me tell you, the last time this happened he tried to kill himself... I was just an assistant's assistant and I was sent to check on him, he would have died if I wouldn't have found him. So, go. And hurry, we may not have much time." Before the other could say a word she picked up the phone and began to once again reschedule the CEO's appointments.

He watched Moka work the phones the stress stricken across her face. He was taken aback for a moment as he was embraced and blinked quietly at her as she began to explain to him the situation. His went wide as he learned about Aka's predicament and at that moment felt 2 inches tall. He knew very well he had caused the man grief but the thought of him trying to kill himself was enough to send him off the edge. His heart began to race as he took the key and nodded in compliance quickly turning away and making his way out of the building as fast as humanly possible. He hailed a cab and rambled off the address in a hurried voice, his foot tapping the floorboard impatiently as if the driver couldn't make it there fast enough.

As soon as he made it he flew out of the cab after throwing a wad of cash at the man and make a quick stride to the front door. He stopped dead and stood frozen for a moment a sense of dread washing over him. He didn't want to think about it but images of finding a dead man were flashing through his mind. He could hardly compose himself, barely realizing the longer he lingered the more time was passing. He shoved they key into the lock and twisted the doorknob, gently pushing it open. He remembered the layout of the house quite clearly and took the elevator to the next floor, staring down a familiar hallway and finding the door at the end. It was quiet throughout the home and his worries only grew. Hesitating at the door a shaky hand lifted and tapped a few light knocks. "A-Aka-san? Sir?" He called out with a faint tremble.
