Kaname was a little surprised he wasn't going to join him but nodded his head and went off to shower himself. He sighed under the warm spray and thought about the earlier events. His student had become his Master in a few short days. How could he let that happen? He felt almost powerless against it because he melts around strong males. Click, and the phone call was over. Fuming Souta tossed his phone across the floor and went to jump on the bed. Once he landed the scent of Kaname filled his senses... "Kaname..." He said before drifting off. The elder walked of the bathroom and attempted to wake him, but he was dead asleep.

Kaname didn't know of the struggle his Master faced but noticed he was happy where he was sleeping. Yawning the raven got into his night pants and slipped under the covers and shifted Souta enough to get him under them too. Looking over at him he smiled softly then shifted onto his side to press his body against the others arm and wrap his arms around his. Sighing softly he drifted off to sleep for once not plagued by his bad dreams that usually haunt him.

There it was, the door to our house- scratch that- his house. The building my mother and I lived inside under that man... "Father." Or that's what I was raised to call him, he was-no- is horrid. Every step my mother and I took our stomaches churned and our chests ached, oh the agony of what was to wait inside the threshold of that door. And yet, there is was, the door handle with a bolt lock- industrial standard. My mother shakily slid the key into it's open slot, and twisted,"Click." The door was opened and the darkness inside devoured the light from the outside world; once you walked through the door, there was no turning back. "Here... Hold the groceries, Souta..." Handing me the brown paper bag my mother closed the heavy door, and as it slid clicking into place I could feel the ground rumble beneath me. It was over, the joy of the outside world was blocked off from us until we were permitted to leave again. Taking the bags from me, my mother and I began for the kitchen, walking in pace with one another. "Ahhh! Susumu-san!" The two of us froze, that voice, and the way it faintly echoed from one of the rooms in the left wing. Quickly my mother grabbed my hand, forcefully," Come on, Souta." Her voice was stern as it cracked with emotion. Then we pushed past the swing door into the kitchen, Ah! Finally... Our sanctuary. But, what is this? I felt small pellets of water crashing ever so softly on my head, a voice gasping faintly, and a sad hiccup. "Okasan...?" I looked up at my mother, her eyes were wet and red- wiping them with her sleeve she bent down to me, sadness in her broken voice," Souta... You're such a good boy." She brushed my cheek with her thumb and wondered my face, almost as if she were memorizing it. It was here that she stood, ruffled my hair, kissed the top of my head, and walked away. "Mama?" I called out softly, but she kept walking through the kitchen door. I look away and suddenly," BANG!" The sound of two thunderous 'THUNK's echoed the house. Jerking my head to the door my eyes teared up," MAMA?!!" I could her the voices of my- dare I say it- Father and his lover running across the house.

"Oh, god!" Gasped the lover, his voice echoed. "MAMA?!!!" I screamed as I began to run in the direction I last saw her leave. But, suddenly I was swept up and held close to a stranger's naked chest. "NO!! Let me go! MAMA??!!!" I screamed, kicked and cried. The man 'Shhh'd me, holding me tight," It's okay... Everything is going to be okay, Souta-kun..." The door swung open, wide open- my tiny eyes widened as it caught a glimpse of my mother's bloody smiling face. It was then I realized that she tried to kill herself, tears over filled by eyes and poured. Before the door closed I could of sworn I heard her say," My sweet boy... It's okay..." The door closed and the naked man stood," Susumu-" The man was ignored, my Father took a moment to look at me, he placed a hand on my head," You're mother is dead." He walked away, just like that.

 

Gasping Souta shot up out of the bed- his heart was racing, his body pasty and drenched in a cold sweat. He swallowed hard, catching his breathe. He flung the cover off of him and went straight for the bathroom, he locked the door and turned the shower on. Just stepping into the cold water his self control broke- he cried.

Kaname felt the sudden movement and stirred a little. The raven shifted onto his other side and caught the scent of his Master in the bed. He cuddled to that spot as he drifted back into dreamland. A little while later he stirred again and sat up rubbing his eyes. Was he alone? Glanding aroun dhe wondering if Souta left. Why would he leave in the middle of the night?

 

Wait his shoes were still there. Kaname then noticed the shower running and walked over to the bathroom knocking, "are you alright?"

Once the tears began to fall he knew he couldn't stop himself, they just poured and poured- stopping himself now would damage is mental abilities. And so, he cried, no anger, just sadness. The cold water cooled him down to the core, quickly he began to shiver. The blonde reached up and turned the hot water on. The warm was refreshing, soothing... It made him feel not so- "KNOCK,KNOCK- Are you alright?" Wait... That's right, he wasn't alone, he was with Kaname. Steam began to to fill the room. Souta stood and mindlessly unlocked the door, he was dripping wet and rubbing his eyes. "No..." He stated plainly. His face broke again, tears falling faster than he can wipe them.

Kaname heard the heart break in the others voice and flung the door open wrapping his arms around him. He didn't care that his pants got wet from it or that the cool air made him shiver. The raven only cared about comforting this poor kid. Why was he crying in the bathroom in the middle of the night? Trying to soothe him he rubbed his back and held him close, "it's okay... I'm here."

Arms wrapping around the other's back, Souta's gripped the other's clothing. His voice choked as his fingers curled into the elder's shirt tighter. The blonde only seemed to cry, it was nice not having to cry alone at night or alone at all. The young man pulled his head back a bit his damp cheeks and red eyes looking up at the man he called his lover. His grip loosed, as his hands adjusted to the other man's sides. The boy's slowly drying face leaned in with his eyes slowly closing. No one had ever seen him this vulnerable or broken- let alone crying. softly, lovingly, delicately- The list of words could go on about this kiss, this all or nothing kiss. Pulling back, the young man shut the water off. His worn amber eyes return to the other's, searching them, his lips pressed to the other's again softly. "I'm... Sorry, let's go back to bed, okay?" Kaname didn't really know what to say to him, since usually he was the one forced to break down. Maybe this kid just needed a shoulder to lean on? Leaning into the kiss his hand came to his cheeks and wiped his tears away. When the other pulled away to speak to him he simply nodded his head and took the others hand in his.

 

Leading him into the bedroom the raven dug in his dresser to hand his Master a pair of night pants. Kaname decided to change out of his own since they got damp from hugging his broken Master.

 

He didn't ask, he didn't judge he just accepted him. The raven waited until he changed then pulled him into the bed and pulled him close to his chest, "good night, my little Master." He pressed his lips to his forehead and stayed there gently holding him.

The moment Souta's hand was grabbed he smiled to himself, warmly. Those amber hues falling softly onto the ground between the two males only to be surprised by a pair of sleeping pants being abruptly pushed into his view. Without a word he took the clothing and slipped it on. It wasn't much, but it was something. "Sorry about getting you wet..." he mentioned while Kaname changed his PJs. Kaname drifted off to sleep quickly and remained there until his alarm went off in the morning. The raven turned over and shut the alarm off before he headed to the kitchen to make them a nice breakfast. he smiled softly as he cooked pancakes bacon and sausage also he brewed some coffee. pouring himself a cup he sipped it as he thought about him and Souta and where they go from there.
