A World Beyond the Hedge

 

Our World

 

Here in our world, we only see what our eyes allow us to. There are people who go about their day, working, coming home to a family, go to sleep, or go to school. Then there are people who are altered by the things no one else can see, no one else has experienced. The sun rises and falls, time goes on, most never knowing what lies beyond their comfortable little orb of life. However there are others. Others that are chosen by higher beings for personal reasons of their own, whether it be because they desired them, or they were entertaining.

 

The Hedge

 

The Land separating Our World from The Faye World is the Hedge. When a human is brought over The Hedge to the World of the Faye, it is impossible to escape. Unless a Faye wants the thrill of a chase, Humans will never escape. The longer someone stays in the Faye World, the less intense their memories become, the more they forget about themselves and the life they once had... Slowly they become what the Faye desires. Humans who are brought over, live the lie that Faye care, sometimes they honestly do, however most make them believe they do. In the end people always find out, and some plot to escape. In order to though, they have to escape through The Hedge. Once someone passes over back to Our World without the help of a Faye, they are altered, their appearance changes. It's how Changelings are created. The Hedge is cold and cruel to navigate, the thought of going through alone is intimidating.

 

Faye World

 

Not even I know what the Faye World is like. The glamorous world is a mystery to us. I suppose, the best way to describe it is... Anything you could think of, Beautiful, Ugly, Frightening, Comfortable. It's everything the Faye wants it to be... It's their world. Here time moves differently than in Our World. One could be here for years but in Our World it could have been just a few minutes. Or it could feel like years and centuries have passed. In the event a Faye takes someone for more than a few days, a decoy is sent in the human's place. It looks, acts, walks, and talks like them.

Changelings fear Faye, they can't fight back or resist them. This story begins with the Humans, in their element, The Faye will choose which human they want to follow and why. Once they find out their reason for taking Their Changeling, it should be added to their Sheet. Humans can try to escape, they can be taken from their Faye by other Faye, either way humans are no match for the Faye.

Personality: Sky keeps to himself. Secluded most of the time, he is quiet but pleasant. He derives joy from his violin, usually sitting in the backyard, he plays for the wildlife and prefers that over human contact. Enjoying his world beyond the world he lived in.

 

Background: Sky is the inheritor to the Grey Manor and Fortune. He is the son of the Aristocrat Dorian Grey. Because of his Father keeping odd company usually, he is ridiculed almost constantly because of his father and his family. Called strange, Sky has no friends and because of that, he has no desire to make friends. He is quite the cold being because of his inexperience, it also makes him naive, and vulnerable.

Background:

A force to be reckoned and watched with, even in the realm of the Faye, Sin mostly never troubles himself with mortals. He considers them ugly and unworthy of his time, but from time to time when he finds a human worth pursuing, he'd become obsessed. He would rarely take a human unwillingly into their realm and prefers pursuing them in their own world and leaving them should he get bored. But on the instance that he finds a human, attractive enough on his every desire, he would undoubtedly take them to his realm, whether they agree to it or not. What he does to them is still unknown, even to other Faye.

 

Power:

Desire.

With one look, both Human and Faye, would easily fall under the spell of his eyes.

Name: Alexei Romanov

Appearance:

Age: 16

Time/Date: 1816 one year before the fall of the russian tsars

Personality: he has a strong personality and willful heart. A very fine example of a russian noble. Although he is cousin to anastatia, he keeps quite grounded. He has always questioned his orientation, and has blushed because of a good looking man just looking at him. Despite his inocence he is very defiant and is pretty tsundere. He often challanges people.

Background: He is cousin to tsarita anastatia and therefore lives in a comfortable mansion close to the palace with his parents. He has one older brother, and as such his parents don't pressure him much on official issues. He would escape if he were to stay in his world until the revolution. He likes to keep a ring he received from his father on his pointer finger, it has the crest of his family engraved upon it.

Choose a colour you will be posting as Please. This will be mine. Also keep in mind. Though humans may be taken from their homes at different points in time, no matter what when they pass over the hedge it can be anytime there.

 

For example Sky may be taken in the year 1800, Alexi 1816, however they may both arrive in the Glamour world at the same time.

 

Also, when Faye take their humans they will either leave a dummy in their place, or not. It's the Faye's choice on how long they decide to keep their human.

 

And another thing gentlemen!

 

If a human carries something important with them over into the Faye world, that object can tie them with their memories of who they once were. Sky has a Violin. He will probably take if the Faye allows it. That would help him to serve as a constant reminder of who he was and where he came from. Though whether he cares is another story~

We just need one more Faye. And if you want to make things interesting, create NPC's or new characters and add them to the storyline. More Faye is alright too.

20 in human years

Personality:

Quiet, Playful, "Gentlemen like", Well-spoken, and most importantly collected with a hint of having a slightly cruel humor side to him. Zero can be nice unless you caught him on a good day which is hardly ever.

Background:

Zero may not look like much but he is somebody you don't want to tangle with, he mostly keeps to himself but when he does interact with other Faye's he some times comes off as a very horrible man. But all in all he doesn't have much to say expect when he does it's something huge and important. You really can't tell with him.

Power:

Can control people's minds and make them do whatever he so desires.
