Lotus group is led by one of the most influential families in Japan; the easily recognized name brings fear to those who know of its dealings in underground trading, i.e. its high influence on the black market, and its top position as the local Mafia.

 

However as the top dog in the chain falls back, crippled by an illness, the Lotus' young son steps to power. Immediately there are whispers of conspiracy, hopes placed into dealing with an inexperienced Lotus leader. There are half a dozen other groups that would rise against him and double that who'd very much like to see his head delivered on a plate.

And the kid likes his position, no doubt; high on power, playing the leader.

 

Step into the world of dark underground, a whirlwind of gang wars and grab your gear: here begins the unique life of a Mafia member. There's lies and treason, sure, but there might be something else. Sometimes it pays off to dig deep.

Not all slots need to be filled, but it would be good to have at least other Lotus member/bodyguard. Also, the Leaders of other groups can be NPCs and instead you guys can play just members of those groups. For example, say you're the Leader's right hand, set with the job of killing the Lotus Leader. Leave it to your imagination!

 

The unnamed groups can be either well-known organizations or one of the minor groups; it's up to how you guys want to play it.

Ink, I don't mind, but since Ky already claimed the role of an undercover spy, your role would be slightly different. Where Ky would have the complete freedom of being with the group he is spying on and reporting back to Lotus, yours couldn't get too close to the Lotus group (not at first, anyway).

Ota, sure, you can be a bodyguard! Is this for the Lotus group or one of the opposing groups, though?

History:

Takato or Taka, as some like to call him, was born in the Mori family. This family consists of Nato, Hikari and of course Takato Mori. He lost his family in a gang fight since the whole Mori family was under the power of the Doragon mafia family. Now, four years after their death, he was 'promoted' to the jobs of a spy. To say that his childhood wasn't easy tell those many scars her carries around his body. Mostly his back for disobeying or not finishing a mission. It was custom to punish them. So now he was going to spy on the Lotus group, the one group that had killed his parents in said gang fight. He doesn't hate the Lotus, he merely sees it as a job. Nothing more, nothing less.

 

Personality:

Taka is known for being afraid of water. He nearly drowned in his childhood and has hated the water ever since (he can't swim). It took months to get him into the bathtub again. But he is also know for being loyal and persistent. What he loves is playing the violin that he got for his 12 birthday. Foodwise, he isn't really picky. The only thing he really hates is pepper. In his childhood he has learned to fire his rifle and also learned the way of the sword. He might not be the best, but he surely is a really strong opponent.

History: Hiro is the heir of Iris' clan that has been one of the biggest treats to Lotus group. His childhood was filled with studies and training, in order to be prepared for the so said ''throne''. But things took another route, when Hiro's mother was killed and his father cared less to even come to the funeral.

 

Call it personal hatred towards Iris' group, Hiro cut any bound to that family. May be the only indication that he once was under the wing of Iris is his

Hiding in the shadows, Hiro got to be a personal assassin of most fearsome Lotus' foe. With the kept hatred towards mafia, he takes leaders down one by one. Right now he is sent to a new mission, to take the Lotus leader's head and destroy the main mafia group, leading the underground for so many years now. May his luck be with him because he is far from the thought it'd be an easy task to accomplish, especially with his undercover as one of Lotus' bodyguards.

 

Personality: Hiro is a calm guy that loves to be alone and work alone. He rarely speaks and would rarely get angry. His only weakness is his one strong point - his hatred. Needless to say that only thing he hates is the mafia.

History: As the first son of the most influental family in Japan, Katsu got everything he could possibly want. He grew up to be selfish and spoiled, because in all that material possesion one thing was missing; the warmth, the touch of a mother and a father. Through his childhood he would constantly get into trouble. Daily fights made him into an excellent fighter, at least. He never experienced a desire to prove himself to his father or other Lotus members; whatever he did, with or without approval, he did because he wanted to. When old man Katsujun first fell ill, Katsu was like a child on a Christmas morning. Whether his father lived or died, Katsu couldn't care less. His mother, well. Katsu doesn't really know what that woman does or where she goes off to in the night. The whorehouse, probably.

 

Odd as it may seem, though, Katsu does care about the Lotus group. Most of the bodyguards were the closest he had to a family and it's them that Katsu would fight for to protect. Same goes for all the little people in the organization; the housekeeper, the occasional maid, the cook.

 

Personality: Favourite pasttime? Let's go beat some fucker up. Bringing bruise to body is an exilirathing experience; the way the body curls into submission and Katsu can do whatever he wants with it. Almost like sex (though Katsu wouldn't know. He never found much excitement in gentle bodies of his female partners). And yes, Katsu fights well with his fists, has a knack for knives and almost guns; but give him anything bigger, a sword or godforbid a shotgun and he's a clumsy dork. Yep.

 

He's terrified of birds. Rats are fine, but gosh, fucking birds, man.

Name: Hishimoto Kaede

Age: 26

History: Kaede was originally meant to die. He was born weak, with a seemingly debilitating problem with breathing and very small in size. His father wanted to do way with something that so broke his heart. But his mother and brother had objected, and Kaede stayed, showing a surprising growth and improvement in his prior problems. From then on, he lived the normal life the child. His father, though cold at times, was wise and loved him in his own special way, mother providing those maternal touches and comforts and his older brother a constant companion and friendly rival.

 

Life for others were lavish and they lived amongst cushioned pillows in a comfortable home. His was something better-- growing with the wealth whilst keeping the ideals he had as a young boy. Never questioning the sudden increase in money, Kaede only enjoyed what he got. He never wanted for anything, obeying orders from his father in all his lessons in fighting, rising in intelligence and being particularly happy.

 

Thrown into the thick of things, he was indeed. The boy had learned of his father's dealings only when he was about ten years old. Truth shocked him- his dearest Dad was the leader and head of the Wisteria gang-and his life had never been the same since. Well, that's not quite true. The revelations continued, though; his brother had been involved ever since he was a young boy, and his mother and uncles and aunts knew about it. From then on, Kaede was dedicated to serving his family. He was trained to see them as the most important, and they were.

 

He loves his family unconditionally, and will defeat all who challenge them and their lives.

 

Personality: Open in nature and a very amiable creature of personality, Kaede doesn't at all seem to fit his job. He's polite, respectful and a jokester, enjoying a good conversation besides confrontation. It was how he was raised. If violent measures don't need to be taken, then use your mouth instead. But if someone's greatly irritating, a fist will do. Maybe it could be considered skewed and screwed morals but they have been embedded into his very being. Kaede, though jovial and nice, needs to be approached to begin talking.

 

When it comes to defending his family and carrying out his job, his demeanor chills to something icy. He's calculating by nature, extremely intelligent and a master of strategy- which is why he's utilized as such. But besides that, he's silent and deadly. That kind nature of his could be a lure for an easy kill in the work environment, and he doesn't shy from shedding blood. Kaede thrives in shadow and games when it comes to it. But when someone happens to challenge his own board, things can get tough.

History: For several generations, the Tsurugi family has been living for their loyalty to the Lotus group. Yasu was no exception from this. Ever since he was born, he has been receiving disciplinary measures from his parents. No toys, no games, or whatsoever. He was never allowed to associate himself with anyone of his age except for the young master who he has been assigned to protect. But Yasu did not have any problem in that. In fact, he was delighted that there was someone like the young master with him. That was enough for him.

 

All his life, he was more than willing to sacrifice himself to answer to his duty. Sometimes, he goes overboard. He takes responsibility for the fights the young master gets into which is why he's the one who had to stop his studies even though he went to school just to keep watch of him all the time. But while he did all this, he would still present himself to the young master with a smile.

Personality: His undying loyalty is one which can make him stronger or can make him weaker. He spends his time trailing the young master though he is shooing him away. He has this smile all of the time though his smile is bigger when he's mad. He's just stupid and does not do any thinking before acting. He is a master of several martial arts that he trained himself in for years ever since he was able to control his body. Yasu is also a perfectionist which is why he cooks for himself and he keeps his surroundings very clean and orderly.

History:

He had a normal childhood, at least that is what he himself would say since he is used to it now. The young man learned killing and fighting at a young age and got punished when he didn't listen to orders or the like. As a 'foot soldier' in his early teenage year´s, Taka got into many fights during his missions and received many scars (mostly on his back). He sees them as a throphy, for his success. Since he never missed a target. Be it the object of a mission or the targets he needed to shoot down. Takato barely knew the head of the family, but he did notice the change when the old head died and the head's son sat down on the throne. Taka merely awaits his new orders and how the family will operate in the future.

 

Personality:

Sometimes he can even be found in the libary. Though he would never say it out loud, the hitman is a fan of classic books, mystery novels or now and then also a bit of poetry. He might not be the really social type but he can work together in groups. It´s just that he is a bit shy when speaking to strangers. When he is on a mission though, he does a 180° turn. Takato gets really serious in it. He rarely loses his cool. Maybe that is why he is such a good hitman.
