Name: Kenneth 'Anzu' McVera

Age: 26

Gender: Male

History: Born in Japan as the offspring of a generic but beautiful geisha and an American customer, Kenneth was given away to a mafia group when he was ten years old as a payment of debt. His mother had loved him very, very much and had tried her best to keep him happy, alive and safe, but eventually her addiction grew too strong. When he was given up, he had thought nothing of it, had thought it was temporary, until the members of said mafia group started beating him up and giving 'tasks' for him to do - running around transporting drugs, pick-pocketing people in festive activities, finding ladies to entertain the group members, help them coerce money off of debtors. Eventually, Ken accepted the truth, but even when he was out doing jobs for them, he'd often find himself looking for his mother. He never saw her again.

 

A couple of years after working for the unnamed group, they pissed off a higher, stronger mafia group called the Wisteria. The group stormed into their hideout one day, and completely massacred the whole group, leaving nobody behind, except Kenneth. They found the then 12-year-old boy trembling behind a stack of crates full of drugs, and instead of killing him, the lead of the raid brought him to their leader - Mr. Hishimoto. The man took Kenneth under his wings, gave him the appropriate training for fighting, survival and assassination skills - and sometimes trained Kenneth himself! - as well as basic education. He never really saw the man's family, never really knew the man's intentions of training him, but Mr. Hishimoto had his utmost loyalty. He would die for the man.

 

Up until a couple of days ago, he only worked as a member of the Wisteria, never really did anything else, even though he was considerably close to the man controlling the group. Then, Mr. Hishimoto revealed how at the time of finding Kenneth, he was worried about his son who was still in a certain degree of shock of finding out what his family did for a living. He told him that he loved his son terribly, and knew that there wasn't going to be another chance to raise his son's protector, his son's bodyguard - that was the main reason as to why he raised Kenneth as his own. Mr. Hishimoto gave him a higher position that day, to be his son's bodyguard, and Kenneth promised him he'll protect Kaede with his life.

 

Personality: He's a bit different from the usual Japanese Mafias, but that could be said towards everything about him. He can be obnoxious at times - before he actually knew how to protect himself, whenever he'd get beaten up, the main reason would be because he couldn't keep his trap shut. Unfortunately, he also doesn't know when to give up, which why people considered him to be stupid. He loves kids, he sees them as innocent and should not be punished for world's sins. In terms of fighting skills, Ken is mostly a Jack-of-all-Trades kind of person, only excelling in knife combat, sucking - wait, averaging - in basically everything else. As been told before, his main weakness is kids - he'd kill anyone who tries harming the person to who his loyalty lies to, but if the assassin turns out to be was a kid, he'd hesitate and would probably die first before the kid.

Name: Ryuu Shin

Age: 21

History:

Indent Ryuu, from the Shin family has two younger brothers, and are far away living a comfortable life. Ryuu made sure that no one knows of his ties with them, unless someone were to dig deep into his life. In order to do that, they have to ask him directly. Ryuu isn't one to freely trust anyone, unless it was his best friend, Hiroshi Isamu.

 

Indent When Ryuu was 8, his mother got him to get emancipated, and had his younger brothers put in his name. His mother didn't tell him why, just that she was worried. She also made him swear not to tell anyone, not even his own father. Being an older brother, Ryuu looked after his siblings well, and learned to protect them. Even at the cost of his own life.

 

Indent By age 12 his mother had died mysteriously, there was no sign of illness in her, or her family gene. There was no struggle, poisoning, or even wounds. This was a mysterious death, and it remains unsolved. Ryuu, being that age wanted to know what had happened and started to dig around. What he found surprised him, and what had made it worse was that his father was right there. It was then that Ryuu knew why his mother had done those things when he was younger. It was because of his father. His father had killed his own wife, and now threatened Ryuu to keep quiet about it.

 

Indent Being from the Shin family, Ryuu had to be good at everything. His father had forced him to fight until he bleed and was unconscious, made him learn everything from history, mathematics, business, and cultured in arts. He was also taught about law, and the Mafia life his father was apart of.

 

Indent At 16 his father was murdered. No one knew who had done this, and there was no evidence of any rival groups doing such an act. At his father's funeral, Ryuu shed no tears for the fallen head of the Shin family. The people around him admired his strength, but in reality, Ryuu was glad for his fathers death. He was glad that his father did not control him or his brothers anymore. Ryuu has held onto many secrets, the secret of his mothers death, and now of his own, of him killing his father.

Personality:

Indent Ryuu looks as if he doesn't care, but in truth, he does. He was just taught not to show it, and to suffer on the inside. He is an animal lover, and sees his best friend as a pet. He wouldn't cause harm to those he loves, and wouldn't dare let anything happen to those he cares about. He can be possessive at times, although he tries to be subtle about it.

 

Indent He hates when things don't go the way he wants it, and would gently push things back in order. If it doesn't help, then he'll rethink his plans and put them in action. He also doesn't like people touching him. The only acceptance is his friend, and that is to control his temper, and he really doesn't like showing emotions.

 

Indent He believes that he is not worthy of anything special, and declines anything good, thinking that he would taint them with his blood stained hands. He also believes he isn't special, and would just end up alone, and possibly die young anyways.

 

Indent He's afraid of letting people in. Thinking that once they found out who he was, and what he had done, they would simply abandon him. He doesn't want to be alone, which is why he would hold onto those closet to him as much as possible. He's also afraid of clowns, because of a story his father had told him about them. He's also afraid of killing those closet to him, or innocent people.

 

Indent He can hear very well, unless his distracted by something that might be or might not be important. In which case usually something not that important but important to him. If he's ever off guard, he would jump, and try to shoot you. No matter who you are. His father had taught him to kill, and to be on guard no matter what, if off guard, then kill those that oppose a threat. Meaning anyone and everyone.

 

Indent He's taught himself to have photographic memory, because his father would never show the same paper twice. And if he hasn't memorized it within the time his father showed him to the time he's taken it away. There was a high chance of a beating, or another continuous fight with strong opponents. He's also talented in playing a variety of musical instruments, but will only keep to his harmonica that he keeps in his right pocket.

 

Indent His weakness is being distracted often. Usually about Hiroshi's crazy hair, or the beauty of nature, or just the sound of music. There's also the problem with his right hand, if he strains it too much it will cause him problems with his shooting.

I kind of lost count on who was in and who wasn't...

I'm not terribly good at playing very influential characters in a group Rp and kind of preferr to stick to what I am best at...

Perhaps I could play an Undercover Investigator trying to get into the Lotus' Mafia in an attempt to bring their deeds to the light and bring them down, trying to get his own break in reporting... Like he is doing this all off the records so he could get his break... Selfishness leading to his demise sort of thing...

Name: Hiroshi Isamu

Age: 19

History:

Indent Hiroshi is Ryuu's only best friend. He doesn't mind that Ryuu treats him like a pet, Hiroshi rather enjoys the rare attention he gets from his solitary childhood friend. In truth, Hiroshi relies on Ryuu's caring brotherly affection. Hiroshi figured that Ryuu had missed being a brother, and is a replacement for his brothers that were sent to a safer place. Not many knows of Ryuu's past, and Hiroshi plans on taking Ryuu's past to the grave. Just like his own past, and Ryuu is the only one that knows it. When Hiroshi was younger around 6 maybe older. He's family was taken and murdered.

 

Indent First, his younger sister Kazumi, was shot in front of him. He was helpless, a man had held him back, and there was nothing Hiroshi could do. He was knocked out then. When he woke up, he saw his mother and father tied up. Then he felt the cold metal on the side of his head, it was a gun. Hiroshi knew that his mother never cared for him. Blaming him for his sister's death. It was his father that tried to comfort him. Although Hiroshi wished for his mother's love.

 

Indent His mother went first, the last words he heard from her were 'You worthless child, you are no son of mine!' Then came the sound of the gun shot. He didn't even hear his father screaming, just those words his mother had said going through his mind, over and over again. When he finally heard his father speaking, he heard him say that he loved him. That he was proud of him. But it was said in such a way that meant that this was the last time. So Hiroshi said that he loved his father as well. Then the gun shot was heard for the third time that day. First his sister, then his mother, and now his father. Finally it was his turn.

 

Indent Before the trigger could be pulled, a blinding light came and loud shouts were heard. The gun was taken away from his head and shots were heard. Hiroshi didn't know what was going on. Then, a shadow blocked the light in front of him, and all he seen was this shadowy figure. Hiroshi didn't know what to make of it. But then it spoke. 'I'm Shin Ryuu, please don't worry anymore. Were here to save you.'

 

Indent After that, Hiroshi grew close to Ryuu. Ryuu had taught him many things, and Hiroshi learned a few things that Ryuu didn't even know about. It was like Hiroshi was another brother to Ryuu. They kept each other sane, and safe.

Personality:

Indent Hiroshi loves acting like a fool, and flirting with anyone. He also loves technology, and artistic hobbies. There isn't anything in the world that Hiroshi wouldn't love. He hates when people don't treat him seriously enough when he's trying to be serious. Although he may act like a fool, he's smart, and knows when to act. He also doesn't like when guns are pointed at him, and loud sounds. He believes everything Ryuu tells him, and takes them seriously. He also believes that Ryuu gets too distracted by his always changing hair color, and style. Which is why he does it.

 

Indent He has Hoplophobia, fear of guns. Although he will handle guns, just doesn't like when they are pointed at him. He's also afraid losing those that are close to him. He's a nerd when it comes to technology, he can practically make anything when he has the right tools. He also has good hearing, because Ryuu would often try and scare him. Hiroshi is also quiet on his feet, since he's always trying to get Ryuu back. Hiroshi is a klutz, the only time where he is actually stable on his feet is when he's holding a knife in his right hand. He is also blind in the right eye, which is why Hiroshi is often looking around him, or stays on Ryuu's left side.
