Sasuke looked down at their hands and his hair fell into his face a little, "I went out with someone on my first date in ten years and you're the first person I've kissed. You tell me." His dark eyes trailed up to the blue ones watching him. He couldn't blame Naruto for his past, as long as he didn't cheat on him or purposely hurt him then he was okay. Leaning over he gently kissed his cheek, "yes there is a next time."

Naruto flashed a big grin and nodded, squeezing the raven's hand gently and sitting up more. The blonde brushed Sasuke's hair behind his ear. "I should let Kyuubi in. I guess it's good you want me in the spare room. I don't want to wake you when I leave." The blonde kissed the raven and separated himself from the other to let in the puppy. He wanted to stay tangled up with the other, but he knew he had to restrain himself. "I'll turn off the lights. You should get some sleep, teme."

Sasuke stood and leaned against the wall to help himself down the hall, "good night dobe. Everything you need is in the room and theres a bathroom connected to it." He made his way to his room and turned on his shower. If felt nice having someone else in the house for once. The raven started stripping down and wrapped a plastic bag around his cast like he always did. He showered like he normally did then entered his bed in his pjs. He could hear Kyuubi every once in a while and it was nice to hear someone there with him.

Naruto smiled as he watched the raven leave the room. "Goodnight, teme." The blonde went to the back door and let Kyu in, the puppy barking excitedly as he searched for the raven. Naruto made sure all doors and windows were locked before going to the guest room and using the shower in there. Kyuubi was all excited as he yipped at Sasuke's room, wiggling his way in the room.

Sasuke had left it open out of habit and watched as Kyuubi made his way into his room. He laughed softly and patted the bed asking for him to jump up. Once there he pulled the puppy close and started petting him, "your so cute." He smiled softly and closed his eyes. He was very tired after his long day.

Naruto finished showering and set his alarm before throwing on his boxers, crawling under the blankets of the spare room's bed. He yawned and stretched, closing his eyes. He was used to the puppy roaming the house before coming to bed, so he didn't gove it one thought. Kyu didn't waste any time before jumping on the bed and cuddling with the raven. He wagged his tail and licked Sasuke's face, yipping softly. He nudged his nose under the raven's chin and settled down a bit.

Feeling that cold wet nose on his chin made him want to wipe it away but instead he drifted to sleep. That morning he yawned as his alarm went off and hit the snooze. He really was tired after the night before and wanted to sleep a bit more.

Naruto was up and dressed in five minutes. He managed to get out of the house and leave a note on the table with fresh brewed coffee and fresh bagels from the bakery on the counter. He had Kiba, his coworker, pick breakfast up that morning. He was out of the house by 3:20. The door locked behind him. He had made sure Kyu had food and water as well. He entered the office a little late and snuck to his desk.

 

Kyuubi had gotten up twice for food and water. He switched between rooms in the intervals. By morning, the puppy was lost under Sasuke's blankets. Hearing the alarm, he poked his nose out and sniffed.

 

The note:

Teme, I had a great time last night. I'll drop by the bar after work for my car and Kyuubi. Go easy on your leg today. I got you breakfast and coffee. I wasn't sure what you liked. See you tonight. Have a good day.

Sasuke yanwed as he heard it go off again and shut it off. Shifting on the bed he groaned softly. Everything was so sore still. Hair a mess and eyes half open he slowly made his way into the bathroom to make himself beautiful. Thirty minutes later he emerged looking as sexy as ever. The raven was surprised to smell coffee and hobbled to the kitchen to find some things he wasn't expecting. He couldn't help but blush and call the blond a dobe as he read the note.

 

Reaching for it he went to throw it away but paused. He then slipped it into the junk drawer and even he wasn't sure why he kept it. Nibbling on the bagel and sipping his coffee, he made sure to grab Kyuubi's things and started out to the car. It had been a long time since he drove someone else's car so he made sure to go slow.

 

Once at the restaurant he lead Kyuubi straight to his office and put up a baby gate, "now stay in here." He shook his finger at Kyuubi and then hobbled to his desk sinking down into his chair. He was so tired after yesterday he hadn't realized he drifted off to sleep at his desk at one point. Also the pain killers made him sleepy.

Kyuubi was Sasuke's shadow all morning. Once the raven told him to stay, the pup sat at the baby gate and went to alert mode. Anyone who came near was growled at. He believed he was on guard duty.

 

Naruto spent his day doing paperwork. When lunch time rolled around, Kiba asked the blonde if they could eat together. Seeing no harm in it, the blonde agreed and suggested stopping by the bar on their way. He took the liberty to call the bar on the way.

Hinata picked up the phone, "That Little Restaurant, how can I help you?" Her voice was soft and sweet on the phone. She liked to answer the phone there to help people.

 

Sasuke stirred a couple of times but mostly slept through it. It felt nice having a little guard dog, even if he didn't realize he was actually napping in his office.

Naruto smacked Kiba when he started making faces. "Hello, this is officer Uzumaki. I was callling to see if Mr. Uchiha has gone to lunch yet." He growled and there was a loud thump. "Kiba! Knock it off!"

 

Kyu yipped happily and jumped up, propping his front paws on the gate, watching everyone.

Hinata looked over at Kyuubi and smiled softly, "is that your puppy? I think he can hear you on the phone. Mr. Uchiha spoke about having your pet. He's actually sleeping at his desk so he hasn't left. Usually he doesn't leave." She said softly into the phone.

 

Sasuke shifted hearing the yip then sat back rubbing his eyes. He yawned then patted his lap, "c'mere Kyuubi."

Naruto laughed and gestured for Kiba to park. "That's Kyu. He knows my voice. He's my buddy." Naruto got out of the car with Kiba and they both headed inside. "I'mma let ya go. Take care."

 

Kyu wagged his tail excitedly and ran a circle around Sasuke before jumping in to his lap. He yipped happily and licked the raven's face.

 

Kiba took a seat at the bar and grinned. "I'll wait out here, lover boy." The brunette yiped when the blonde's fist collided with the top of his head. "Ow!!!"

 

"Shut up, Inuzuka!" Naruto huffed and walked past the bar to Sasuke's office. "Hey, who had a baby?"

Sasuke blinked a couple of times then rubbed his eyes, "are you here for lunch?" His voice was a little heavy from sleep then he reached down to pet Kyuubi for a moment knowing he'd want to see his daddy.

"I am, but I was told you were sleepin." The blonde stepped over the gate and smiled as he sat in the seat across from Sasuke. Kyu yipped happily and hopped down to run over to the blonde, jumping in his lap. Naruto ruffled the puppies fur and chuckled. "Hi, boy. So, be honest, is it my fault you are so sleepy? I really should have thought about that before I made it a long night."

Sasuke raised a brow wondering who sold him out on napping but he supposed it was a bit obvious. He then smiled softly, "well I'm recovering still and haven't done much since the surgery." He shifted in his seat to sit up straighter. "It's good for me though, to move around and do stuff. Even with the little sleep you got you seem to be doing fine."

Naruto pat Kyu's nose, causing him to settle down. "I have to run on empty. What if I just got home and there's a big bust? We all get called in for back up." The blonde smiled and looked the raven over. "Careful comin in so tired. People might start talking."

Sasuke raised a brow, "it was just a power nap, I'm good now." The raven folding his arms on his desk then cocked his head. "Maybe you should take a night just to sleep over and get some rest." He chuckled softly.

"Are you giving me an invite?" The blonde smiled at the raven and pet the puppy's head. "Teme, I was wondering if you'd like to get lunch. My partner aaked me to lunch and I thought I'd invite you."

 

Kyuubi jumped down from the blonde's lap and started sniffing the floor in the room. He managed to make his way over to Sasuke and circled the raven's feet. It took him a second circle before lifting his leg and peeing on the raven's foot.

Sasuke let the first question slide then leaned back in his seat, "invite to lunch at my own place? How romantic." He teased, but he really didn't mind. Then in a moment before he heard something that sounded like peeing and looked down. Jumping he pulled his feet away, "I can't believe he did it!" The raven blushed a little as he looked at his wet cast. Now he would need to get a new wrap.

"Kyuubi! Bad dog!" Naruto blushed as he scowled at the dog and jumped to jis feet. The blonde went to the office door and flagged Hinata down. "Miss, can you get me a warm wash cloth and disinfectant?"

 

Kyuubi curled his tail between his legs and backed in to a corner, whimpering. The poor puppy had his ears flattened. He didn't think he'd done anything wrong. He was just showing his acceptance of the raven.

 

"I'm so sorry, Sasuke." Naruto groaned and ran a hand over his face. "I can't believe he did that. I was gonna offer to take you to a restaurant done the road. A Japanese joint. We can eat here instead. Dang dog."

Sasuke waved the blond back and turned to Kyuubi seeing him so sad. Then he remembered what the blond said, "Naruto do you remember the story you told me about Kyuubi?" He patted his leg for the pup to come back over. "I need to get the leg brace anyway. Today's as good a day as any. We just need to cut this off me now."

 

He chuckled softly, "don't worry about it. Come mere Kyuu."

Naruto frowned as he watched the puppy slowly slink over to the raven with his head down. "He still shouldn't feel he can get away with pissing on people." The puppy whimpered and plopped his butt down to look up at Sasuke and Naruto with puppy eyes. Naruto sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Alright. Sit down and I'll cut it off. Then we'll go to the hospital while Kiba gets lunch for us."

Sasuke reached down and gently pet Kyuubi, yeah the raven was a big softy inside. He smiled softly at the pup then turned to Naruto, "that's alright, I can drive myself there after lunch." The raven leaned back in his chair and pulled out a pair of scissors for him.
