Information Not much left until Spring brings the life and new hopes to us and our surrounding, YaoiOtaku decided to open a thread for people that love music and love to write poems, or simply song lyrics. Giving chance to show your feelings about Spring and in general - The new beginning of all. We have picked a certain song, based on its melody you have to write down either a poem or a song lyrics. Of course,it's up to you how you name it. .. Rules * Post only one poem/song lyrics text. * No vulgar words, no racism, no religious, no political and no child/animal abuse themes. * Minimum 4 paragraphs, maximum 8 paragraphs. * Do not use the name of the song we give you as a title to your poem/song lyrics. * The theme of your masterpiece can be about anything,depends on what feelings you get when you listen to the melody. It's instrumental. * Post the final result on this thread. * Read the rules again, just in case. .. toby2663 Posted March 27, 2013 Share Posted March 27, 2013 Here goes nothing SPRING We have waited for ages for winter to go, the cold and the ice the wind and the snow. So slowly fading it departs to the past, and tries to hold on with one last icy blast. But now it is over and the spring has begun, with soft light breezes and warm gentle sun. Snow drops and croci appear all around, a sure certain sign of the thaw in the ground. The birds have started nesting so busy so fast, and the first of the lambs are appearing at last. The tree's are awakening from their long winter sleep, green grass is now growing so quick and so deep. The people around me seem cheerful and calm, happy to have survived winter without any harm. The winter's bite gnaws no more shut behind another door- the seasons welcome it again as his shift comes to a slow, melting end. Without the bite, the bitter frost the change may not come so noticeably Sunshine peeks above forming clouds as the rays touch down about those peoples' frowns-- be it to the departure- or the welcome of a sweet lily's flowering spreading arms wide above its head reaching for the very stars as the situation becomes apparent. The night time hides the growing swell- the cicadas setting their music to a comforting lull as reverberations releases ribbons of warmth. They wrap around the Earth- a slow spread-- but it soon it will reach all. Coats shrugged off, placed on chairs a new time has dawned- But nobody stares. It is an elusive man- with an unnoticeable nature that went ding who nodded to Summer- and kissed Winter's scowl- The sun's peaking does not give an alert but heart's beating for it lurch. And the flowers grow and the bees buzz, quiet like and elusive as 'that one' and they all give welcome to Spring. I believe this differs from a lot of people, and is pretty confusion.. Apologies. Gently they go flying, To an impossible place to reach, Leaving me once again crying, As I hope my tears will allow me this one wish: When you lose to time and go, Don’t let your roots stay behind. Because no matter how much I mow, They still stay trapped in my mind. Spring is such a beautiful time, Giving everyone love, Just to take it away in its prime, While laughing at us from above. Far away they go, Those splendid flowers, Not caring about how much they owe To the one giving them such precious hours. Still, another year goes by, With me on the garden waiting For them to finally come back and be mine. XD But, I really enjoy the song and the theme behind this, so I'm going to add my poem. :3 A Fond Farewell, A Warm Greeting (by mangotango) A Fond Farewell, A Warm Greeting (by mangotango) I awake from the deep sleep of Winter and feel the Sun’s warm embrace on my cheeks. From my bed I peer into a cerulean sky and chase clouds with my eyes as they blow past in a rapid breeze too quick for me to capture. I spot icicles above my window like miniature daggers poised – ready for action. I lie back and listen as they melt in harmony… d r i p d r i p d r o p like a soft melody playing just for me. The flowers have not begun to stir, though I know in time the daffodils will yawn and the tulips will raise their drowsy heads to greet the Sun with bright, expectant faces. The trees seem to shiver in the Wind, shedding what remains of their Winter blankets. A robin sprints through snow lightly dusted across the lawn to reach a lone patch of green grass under a tree. He stops a moment, head cocked to the left, listening… wondering if this is truly his grass. Yes Mister Robin I whisper softly You are the first to reach this tree. It is your home, your beloved, your green. Spring arrives without fuss or commotion, though it quickly makes itself comfortable and bids Winter Good-day! with a sweet smile. As Winter says Adieu! But things happened and then I realised I was out of time, so I wrote this (really) terrible poem. But this was the only thing my tired mind could come up with, so I hope that at least one of you likes it, even if only a little bit:) Alite Holler. Howl your pains away. For spring has come, Brought in by the flowers that blossom And the children that laugh. Birds are singing And the sun is gentle to the touch. So, Holler. Dry your tears away. For along with spring, Salvation has come. The days of winter felt long, And, fading out, you grew distant; But spring has come. And in an instant, It can spring hope to your heart. So just hold on. And smile; And holler; For spring has come. And stagnant moments will be no more. In the midst of the scents the winds bring And the reverberating sound of the waves that crush, You are reborn.
