Sebastian couldn’t deny it. Maybe he did like a touch of humiliation and embarrassment... he wasn’t sure why or how. But maybe he wouldn’t think too much of it.... “I.... I....” he blushed softly.

 

Eventually he nodded. “You.... might be right.” He blushed.

 

Clearing his throat he looked at Veryn as he finished his hair.

 

“R-ready to learn?”

Veryn grinned at his reaction, he was just too cute... "Well, think about what you might be interested in doing." He breathed, touching the man's cheek.

He pulled his hand away and nodded. "Yup, what do I need to know?"

Sebastian was glad he didn’t have to decide anything right now. “Okay....”

 

Veryn licked his lips as he started to move back to the main section of the plane.

 

He went through some of the staffing structure and names, though he knew that Veryn wouldn’t remember all of them.

Veryn followed him back to the main area of the plane. He did his best to remember everything that Sebastian told him, but it was difficult to keep all the names in his head. He tried his best to hide his stress but he was clearly worried. He waas starting to wonder if he would be able to handle all of this...

After a while he reached and touched his hand. “Don’t worry about this Veryn. You can do it.” He offered honestly.

 

An announcement spilt over the system, informing them that they were going to be landing shortly.

 

“Just.... be yourself. You ARE a Lord. No one can say otherwise.” He offered.

Veryn gave him a nervous smile, lightly squeezing his hand. "Thank you Sebastian..." He murmured.

He jumped at the sound of the announcement and took a deep breath. "Alright... I guess it's time..." He leaned back in his seat, trying to stay calm.

“I’ll follow your lead. Take your time. Stand tall.” Sebastian squeezed his shoulder and stood just behind him but close.

 

The limo pulled up, the driver opening the door to Veryn. “That’s Tasor.” He whispered gently,

Veryn rose to his feet once the and had landed. He gave Sebastian a nervous smile and did his best to stand up straight. He got off the plane, lightly chewing his lip at the sight of the limo. Everything was just so fancy.

"Thank you..." He said, meaning it for both Sebastian and the driver. He got into the limo and glanced back at Sebastian.

Sebastian ensured the bags were loaded before joining him.

 

He sat on the side seat and made the window go up between them and the driver for privacy before smiling at the man. “Now time to relax.”

Veryn smiled nervously. "I'm already feeling stressed out." he laughed softly. "I really don't think this is a good idea..." He sighed and leaned back in his seat. "I'll try my best though... It's just a lot..."

“The first week will be the hardest. The first week for any job is the hardest!” Sebastian offered kindly.

 

“You’re not alone. There are plenty who will aid you.” He said softly. “You can.... rely on me.” He promised softly.

Veryn reached over and took Sebastian's hand, squeezing it gently. "Thanks... I'll try to keep that in mind. I guess it's just that none of my other jobs felt like it had such high stakes, or involved moving to another country and acting like a totally different person." He chuckled softly. "I'll just have to depend on you a lot this first week."

“I guess not. Doesn’t mean you can’t do this.” He offered gently with a smile. “You can.” He hummed softly.

 

Looking at their hands he paused a moment before flipping it and holding him back. No explanation given.

 

“There is one thing I should say.... the head butler. Try to make him think he’s.... better than me.” He held out his free hand, making sure he got to finish. “He’ll only become petty otherwise. Address him first. Praise him. That kind of thing.”

Veryn smiled at the gesture but didn't comment on it.

He frowned again at the mention of the butler, his tail twitched for a moment before he got it under control. "I get the feeling I'm not going to get along with him..." He murmured, pulling Sebastian a bit closer. "I'll do my best, I don't want him to cause any trouble for you... At least until I've settled in enough to be able to stand up for you."

“You don’t need to like him,” he laughed. “I don’t think Lords like that many people! But thanks. I can stand up for myself. At least my room is a good size. With a good bed.” The old Master apparently wanted space and comfort to fuck him. It was a pretty empty room though. Just a wardrobe and bed.

 

“For now. Focus on you. Okay?”

"I don't want to be like most other Lords..." Veryn said with a slight frown. "And I don't want to have to treat you poorly because of him "

He took Sebastian's hand and gave it a light squeeze. "I will... But please tell me if anyone is giving you a hard time..."

Sebastian frowned a little, not entirely understanding this man. Before everything was so predictable! He did what the Master needed and was fucked seven ways to Sunday every day. Eat. Sleep. Repeat.

 

But this? This was new and unusual....

 

But that didn’t mean it had to be bad? Right?

 

“Okay.... I’ll.... you can make the decision later. For now I won’t give you anything more to burden you. I can take care of myself. I have outlived most of the employments of the staff anyway....” Seb offered.

"Alright... Thank you." Veryn lifted Sebastian's hand to his lips and light kissed his fingers. "For now I'll just focus on settling in." He smiled slightly. He was still very nervous about everything, but he wanted to do his best to help Sebastian.

Sebastian wasn’t thinking about himself right now.

 

“You’ll be fine.” Seb promised. He hoped that was true!

 

As they arrived he climbed out first, holding a hand out to offer the guy help out. He kept his expression neutral, but his eyes were soft.

 

The house stood behind him, a huge and extravagant estate that looked Victorian on the outside but was a rather modern interior for the most part.

 

The butlers snd maids all stood either side of the walk way to introduce and welcome their new master. Now or never.

Veryn's eyes widened at the sight of the manor. Was this really where he was expected to live? He took Sebastian's hand as he got out, giving it a light squeeze before releasing it. He stood up straight and did his best to keep his own expression neutral, although his eyes still had a hint of panic.

He glanced around at the servants, the sight of all these people just made him feel more stressed out.

Sebastian nodded subtly, trying to encourage him. You can do it! “The butler is called Horus.” He whispered the reminder before walking behind him.

 

The head butler stepped forward and bowed. “Young Master. I have been informed by your thing that you’re the son of our previous Master. It is a pleasure to meet you. Please allow me to escort you around your new home. I’m sure I can answer all your questions. Shall I dismissed the bonded.” Not phrased as a question.

 

Sebastian was used to this routine and didn’t even react, he’d just wait for Veryn’s opinion, usually he’d just be dismissed at that.

"My... Thing..?" For a moment Veryn was confused by the man's words. His eyes flashed with anger as he realized that the man was referring to Sebastian. His tail twitched for a moment before he got it under control. He took a deep breath, trying to get himself under control. He wanted so badly to tell the butler to fuck off if he wasn't going to treat Sebastian with any respect. But he had promised to just worry about settling in for awhile.

"Yes, a tour would be nice..." He finally said. "If you can answer all my questions then I guess Sebastian's presence isn't necessary..." Even if he wasn't standing up for the man he couldn't bring himself to be directly disrespectful to Sebastian.

The butler saw the tail flinch and frowned slightly. The thing had corrupted him. He’d have to correct the Young Master.

 

“Indeed. I am in charge of running this household, Young Master. If you have any preferences or requests please inform me and I will make it so.” He said softly. “This way.” He smiled, a smarmy sight, “if you please Young Master.”

 

He stepped down the middle of the group leading him to the house.

 

Sebastian nodded to Veryn and moved back to the car to get their bags and take them to the house.

 

“My name is Horus. Butler Horus. The house is well maintained but we can make changes if anything is not to your fancy,” he offered.

Veryn gave Sebastian an apologetic glance before following after the butler. "It's nice to meet you." He murmured, mostly out of habit. "I'm sure I won't need many changes." He looked around as they walked. "How much do you actually know about me?" He asked once they were out of earshot of the other servants.

“Only what the bonded told us.” He shrugged. “Your name is Veryn and you’re the Masters son. This estate and by extension us, now belong to you.” Horus shrugged. “As I was saying.... this is the reception area. There are four doors. The kitchens are this way but I doubt you’d be interested in that.” He carried on, not really caring it seemed out a response. Your public office is there. The main rooms are this way. Please follow.”

 

Once more he carried on walking. “How much has the bonded told you?” He asked eventually, leading Veryn into the dining room. A table big enough for twenty people all set up and ready to go.
