"I see..." It sounded like Sebastian hadn't mentioned that he hadn't been raised to expect this kind of thing. Veryn continued to follow Horus, he didn't like the way this man talked to him. It felt like the butler had already decided what Veryn wanted and wasn't going to listen to anything different.

"I wasn't expecting any of this, so he just told me the basics of what I'd be doing." Veryn said with a shrug. "We didn't have time for much else since it took some convincing to even get me here."

“Convincing.” Horus sneered. “I guess it’s true what they say. A bonded really is a whore for their bonded line.” He rolled his eyes.you should consider getting rid of him. There are much better candidates for a bonded than him. He’s disrespectful, a liar and a thief. Don’t let him get too close, Young Master. Your father had the right idea to a degree. The thing really is only good for one thing.” He tutted.

 

“This way is the second entertaining room. Over there is the library and your main office. Are there any food preferences I should be aware of?” He hummed thoughtfully.

Veryn couldn't help himself, this was just too much, his tail began to lash. "Yeah, convincing." He glared at the man. "I'm still not sure if having a lot of money is going to be worth it if I have to spend the rest of my life surrounded by stuck up assholes." He snapped.

He shoved his hands into his pockets, biting his lip to stop himself from going any further. "I don't like raw fish." He muttered.

Horus blinked again that, surprised at that. “Oh dear. I apologise for upsetting you, Young master.” He swallowed. Nodding about the fish, “noticed and I will ensure the kitchen already know.”

 

He straightened up. “Your office is this way.” He paused again the door, realising suddenly he couldn’t access it. “Apologies. I’ll have to get someone to unlock it for you later. I forgot about the security system.”

 

He cleared his throat. “Shall I escort you upstairs?”

Veryn took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. "It's fine..."

He followed the man to the office, managing to calm his tail as they did. "Don't worry about it. It'd probably be best if you just showed me my bedroom... I'm pretty tried from the trip." He sighed, keeping his hands in his pockets. He just didn't want to be around this man anymore.

Horus nodded, “of course. Your order of steak will be ready in three hours. Would you like a portion bringing to your room instead of at the table?” He offered politely.

 

Sebastian has taken his bag back to his room and was sat at the end of Veryn’s new bed waiting for him.

 

Horus opened the door for his. His smile wavering as he slotted Sebastian. Heading over he frowned, “the new master is tired. It would be best you leave him.”

 

Sebastian smirked and stood up. “If my Master wants me to leave. I will.” He said firmly.

"Yeah, just have it brought to my room... If I change my mind I'll let you know." Veryn smiled when he saw Sebastian.

He walked over to the man and lightly touched his cheek. "Hello again." He hummed.

"I can dismiss him myself." He said. "I could use his help to unpack my bags."

"Ah... And I should mention." He glanced at the butler, his gaze becoming cold. "I will not tolerate anyone... Damaging my things... Even if you think it's necessary. Understand?" It left a bad taste in his mouth to refer to Sebastian as his property, but he wanted to make it clear that he wasn't going to allow anyone to hurt Sebastian.

Veryn’s words made a shudder run down his spine. How could this man have such power over him so quickly?

 

Horus frowned at the affection. Another Master that wanted the thing around. Whatever. He grit his teeth but nodded. “No one will dare touch your property but you, Young Master.” Not wanting time witness but he turned and left. Closing the door softly behind him.... even if he really wanted to slam it!

 

Sebastian couldn’t help the lust that appeared in his eyes at being ‘owned’ and claimed so obviously by the other.

 

Alone he shook his head and smirked, “not sure that was playing nice with Horus.” He chuckled, sitting back down. “How did the tour go?”

Veryn managed to keep his expression stern until the man left. He let out a breath of relief and turned to Sebastian, ready to apologize for calling him property. He blinked when he saw the obvious lust in the other's eyes. "Oh?" He sat down and pulled Sebastian close. "Do you like it when I'm possessive?" He teased, nuzzling his hair.

"I was doing my best." He muttered. "I was able to keep my cool until he started trying to convince me to replace you..." He hugged Sebastian a little closer. "And even then I just told him that wasn't going to happen, I didn't tell him that I want to get rid of him the moment I'm settled in."

“Huh.... no.... of course not....” except they both now knew the truth! Damn it!

 

He let him nuzzle and hold him. Being in this place was strange for him.... but he did like the company.

 

Seb turned and rested his head upon the other softly. “You shouldn’t get rid of them just because of me. Horus is.... oddly good at his job. But if you don’t like him there are others around.”

 

Horus tried to have him killed? To get him replaced? That stung more than he thought it would.

Veryn gently let Sebastian's hair fall loose. He began to lightly play with the locks. "I don't want someone around who treats you like that." He said firmly.

"Especially if you accept my offer." He leaned down to kiss his neck. "It wouldn't be very lord-ly if I let people disrespect my lover." He teased.

Sebastian blushed at those words. Not caring that his hair now split over his shoulder again.... all he cared about were those words!

 

“You’re pretty determined....” he said softly, shyly. Burying his nose in the others shoulder. “You can’t treat me like a lover to anyone else. You’ll need to be careful what you say...”

 

But he’d already claimed him a property? Maybe Veryn could play it off as that?

 

“I’m afraid you won’t truly be satisfied by me.....” he admits.

"Not even when I've fully settled in?" Veryn asked softly. "I could kill someone and get away with it but if I wanted you to be my lover everything would collapse..?"

"Well... I promise to be careful as long as.its nessicary..." He murmured.

He frowned slightly at Sebastian's next words. "Sebastian..." He pulled back a bit to look down at him. "You're like a dream come true... You don't need to worry about trying hard to satisfy me..."

“I....” Veryn had a point. But maybe Seb wasn’t convinced this would last that long? “....I don’t know? Maybe?” He frowned.

 

“Good.” He hummed softly. Sebastian knew that Veryn needed to become the Lord was born to be. “Your tutor arrives tomorrow....” he offered shyly.

 

Only to gasp at the firm look. Lowering his gaze. “Sorry Master....”

Veryn smiled and lightly brushed his tail against the man's thigh. "I'm not upset with you... I just want to make sure you understand." He gently lifted the man's chin, forcing him to look up. "You're perfect." He leaned down and caught his lips in a kiss.

Sebastian didn’t fight the others hold. He knew he wasn’t perfect.... but maybe now wasn’t there time to say it.

 

Instead he kissed him, his arms shifting to wrap around him. He leaned his weight forward in an effort to push Veryn to the bed.

 

“I shouldn’t ask.... not really.... but would you consider redecorating this room?”

Veryn allowed himself to be pushed down with a smile. "Sure, I'd like to have my own room feel a bit more like home..." He lightly stroked Sebastian's cheek. "This room used to be my father's... Right?"

Sebastian was relieved by that, he tried to hide it but couldn’t.

 

Instead of words he just nodded, pressing lightly into the touch upon his face.

 

He believed the old Masters clothing and toys were in the cupboard too. They hadn’t moved anything yet. That was for Veryn to want! “I can get someone to pack this room up for you.... remove the belongings.....” he had belonged to Veryn’s father too. Was he the best person to be considered Veryn’s lover?

Veryn frowned slightly. "I'll start having it redecorated as soon as possible..." He promised.

"Yes, if you could arrange for that I'd appreciate it... I don't need any of his old stuff..." He paused for a moment, why did he get the feeling that Sebastian was including himself as his father's belonging..?

"Well, I do need you." He said softly, gently hugging the man to his chest. "If that counts."

[Guest syaoran-puu]

“Consider it done.” He promised. Only to pause. “Do you want his toys to remain? They’re.... under the bed.” Two draws that pulled back, a collection very much like on the plane. “Or do you want to start your own?”

 

Sebastian blinked again at that reply, looking into Veryn’s eyes as if searching for something he’d missed. “Are you sure you aren’t reading my mind? That’s twice now. Maybe you’re not even full aware...?” He frowned slightly.

"No." Veryn said firmly. "I've been thinking about it and I don't want to use something that might have been used to hurt you. I'll start my own collection, and you can help me pick out some stuff you might want."

He frowned slightly. "I... I didn't mean 5o read your mind... I'm sorry. I just got a feeling you might be thinking of yourself that way."

“Oh? Okay....” he nodded. “I’ll have them removed for you too then.” He offered softly.

 

Maybe a fresh start.... something new.... was what he needed? They needed.

 

He blushed a little and shook his head. “You’re missing the point! You said you didn’t have powers.... but this shows? Right? They’re at least starting to come out?”

 

Sebastian looked at him. “What else do you just have feelings about?”

"I guess... I don't know though, it could have just been lucky guesses..." Veryn frowned, he had gotten so used to the idea of never having powers, it felt strange to think that he might actually have them.

"What do you mean..? Like what else have I guessed you were thinking?" He asked.

“Not just me. Have there been other times when you got small impression of thoughts?” He frowned, considering Veryn’s words. “Has it only happened with me?” That would surprise him if it had!

 

He stroked the guys chest, cuddling closer a moment. What if he was the key to unlocking his powers? No way! He wasn’t that important! He wanted to scoff at his own thoughts!

"it's only happened with you..." Veryn said. "I just thought I happened to be good at reading you." He frowned slightly. "Are you somehow unlocking my powers...? Is that kind of thing possible?"
