"If you need some time to yourself then you don't have to stay with me..." Veryn frowned slightly at the man's thoughts, he didn't want Sebastian to feel trapped with him.

It's not pathetic... Veryn reassured him, frowning slightly.

He smiled again at the thanks and lightly kissed his cheek. "No problem." He took Sebastian's hand and led him into the room, pushing the door shut behind himself. "Wow, even the guest rooms are nicer than my apartment." He joked, leading Sebastian over to the bed.

He lay down and pulled Sebastian to lay on his chest, hugging him close.

“I liked your apartment.” He said honestly.

 

With a chuckle Seb was pulled to the bed. He shifted a little, getting comfortable upon his chest. If only I had been fooled to bond with Veryn and not his father. Maybe things would have been different until now? He couldn’t help but imagine being happier....

Sebastian smiled. “Maybe you’ll make here feel cosy like your old apartment eventually. Just a new cosy?” He offered tenderly.

He kissed his forehead. "I'll try to stop commenting on your thoughts so much... I don't want to make you uncomfortable."

Sebastian looked at him a moment then shrugged, “you don’t need to stop yourself, Master.” He smiled shyly, “you can comment. I know you’re not trying to upset me and I wouldn’t like to make you uncomfortable about any of my thoughts. If you have something to say... please do.”

 

Seb didn’t look up at him, too embarrassed too. “You should try to sleep....?”

"Thanks, I'll try not to go too overboard." Veryn kissed him lightly. "Yeah... I'll do that..."

He closed his eyes and relaxed, holding Sebastian close to his chest. After a few minutes he fell into a light sleep. He kept holding Sebastian tightly. After awhile he started to make soft whimpering noises as he had a nightmare.

Sebastian knew that Veryn had said he could leave after he drifted to sleep.... but the hold! There was no way he was going anywhere!

 

He frowned slightly and just got comfortable. Letting his mind imagine Veryn in a variety of designer suits and clothing he’d ordered for the man. At least until he heard him softly whimper. He paused at first. Frowning before leaning up and kissing his neck, nuzzling him tenderly in an effort to sooth him. I’m here. You’re not alone. Wake up. All is well. He spoke gently into his mind. Repeating it a few times as he tried too calm him.

 

What was Veryn dreaming of that disturbed him so?

Veryn's unconscious mind reacted to the connection. For a few moments his nightmare was pushed into Sebastian's mind.

A teenage Veryn was laying in a bed in a messy bedroom. His wrists tied to the bedposts with rough ropes that were digging into his skin. He was struggling desperately, trying to loosen the ropes, at some point the friction drew blood but he didn't stop, there were footsteps in the hallway growing closer and closer... The door started to open and a voice called Veryn's name.

Veryn's eyes snapped open as he awoke with a start, his breath came in panicked gasps as he clung to Sebastian for comfort.

Sebastian watched the dream in his head... hands clinging to him.... oh! He shivered at the memory. Tears forming in his eyes

 

He was relieved when it ended. He looked up to Veryn. “You’re okay....” Sebastian offered gently, stroking down his chest?

Veryn buried his face in Sebastian's shoulder, his body shaking. He stayed silent for a few minutes, just trying to breath.

Finally he loosened his grip on the man, forcing himself to relax slightly. "S-sorry... I'm okay..." He mumbled.

Sebastian frowned and held him, Who had hurt him? Is that why he reacted badly to that room? The chains under the bed?

 

He didn’t know how to ask or explain anything. He ruffled his hair softly. Trying to just be comfortable and gentle. “You don’t need to apologise.”

Veryn bit his lip, he didn't want to answer those thoughts... Especially when they weren't asked directly.

He frowned at the man's words. "it's just... Pathetic..." He mumbled. "You've been through so much but I'm still freaking out over nothing..."

"It's nothing compared to what you went through..." Veryn's skin began to grow cold. "To what my own father put you through." He knew it didn't make any sense, but he somehow felt responsible for what his father had done to the other man.

He looked away, biting his lip. "I'm sorry... Just forget I said anything..."

Sebastian frowned. But he couldn’t ignore this. He knew he couldn’t.... act or leave it?

Sebastian tilt his head. “I don’t think any less of you..... you don’t of me? Despite knowing a lot of this terrible things I’ve put through? So why would this be any different?”

Veryn chewed his lip, looking away from the man. He hated the idea of talking about this... But he had said he was going to try to go out of his comfort zone.

"When I was 14... There was a family who was thinking of adopting me..." His voice was strained as he spoke and his skin kept getting colder. "They decided to foster me for awhile to see if I would be a good fit and make sure I would be happy with them and stuff... They already had a son who was in college but was still living at home... He was gay and I was just figuring stuff out so I ended up coming out to him..." He trailed off for a moment, trying to force himself to breath. "He... Pressured me into a relationship... He made me feel like no one else would ever like me and if I didn't do everything he said then I'd be alone forever. We had to hide it from his parents of course and he did a ton of stuff that would make me super uncomfortable... He'd always joke that if I tried to leave him he'd tie me up in his room and never let me go." He blinked back tears, moving his hands to cover his face. "His parents went out of town for a week, and he... Actually did it..."

"I was completely trapped for the entire time and I couldn't get away, I just had to go along with whatever he wanted... The whole thing was just a kinky game to him so he just got more excited when I tried to escape or tell him to stop." He let out a shaky sob. "Then when his parents got back I was stupid enough to try telling them what happened... They called me a liar and sent me back to the orphanage..." He pressed the heels of his hands against his eyes, trying to stop his tears. He hated crying, especially in front of anyone else, it made him feel so weak.

Sebastian leaned forward and just hugged him. “I’m sorry they didn’t believe you. That he did that. No one deserves that.” He must have been so scared.... yet look at him now! He’s even stronger and braver than I initially thought.

He blushed softly and looked up at the suggestion. "Are you sure..?" He asked softly. "Don't you want to wait until after dinner..?" He lightly trailed his fingers over Sebastian's waist, it was hard to refuse the offer of a distraction... Anything to get his mind off things.
