Looking for someone to show me the ropes

I'm new to roleplaying but I've always wanted to try it. So here I am. I am somewhat fluent in English for I have been studying the language since birth and sometimes speak it at home. I'm experienced in writing for contests, and I've also written some prose and independent works. I also used to write fanfiction. However, I have no idea how different roleplaying is compared to formal writing and what do some abbreviations mean (like MC and YC, a few terms I've encountered as I browsed the RP Recruitment forum). As such, I thought I would put up a thread of my own.

As for limitations, psychological drama/horror is something dangerous for me so I would like to avoid it. As such, non-consensual sex is also no good for me. However, I'm open to BDSM and the use of toys/foreign objects. All is good as long as everyone is happy.

As for roles, I can play seme, uke, or seke.
