"I don't care what he says honestly. But that's kind of the motive i want to get out of the house. I know its a huge responsibility but i can take care of myself" he said shrugging.

 

"Then is settle" said Kaido clapping his hands. "As your birthday present you can have my house down the street. You can paint it and change it the way you want it" he said happy that he could help him out.

 

"Really?! That's so awesome" he jumped and hugged him tight. "Thank you ... oh thank you so much...I will take good care of it and also the garden. I will not make you regret it" he said stepping back to his sit. "This will be so cool"

Branwen smirked. Kaido really was too sweet. Too generous. Gorgeous. All his!

 

He let the pair have a moment and just smiled. “So. Since I’ve clearly been the only one completely out of the loop,” he winked at Kaido. “What’s going on with you and my brother? Cassidy too?” He watched him closely.

Winston was taken by surprised by the question his smile fading and instantly blushing.

 

"So is true?" said Kaido surprised that what Branwen told him before was true and not just some mocking on his part.

 

"Yeah ... kind of is " he said scratching the back of his neck. "It has been a real struggle with that too. As you have seen Alfred is not a big fan and he wasn't happy when he heard about Cass either" he sigh.

 

Kaido looked at Branwen for a moment then back at Winston not saying anything.

 

"We ... kind of ... decided to be in this crazy roller coaster trio ... I like Fai a lot and i want him to make him happy even if in the end maybe i'll not be his mate" he shrugged talking in a serious tone. "And Cass ..." took a deep breath before continuing. "Don't know how or when it happened but .... he kid of grew on me..." he clapped his hands together feeling nervous.

 

"Do you guys think you can pull that off?" Kaido asked worried that Winston might get hurt out of that and it was his fault in the first place cause he told him to get with Fai together.

 

"I don't know ... i've accepted even if at first it was hard but ... I'm not going to let a mate thing to ruin something beautiful. Of course, that depends on what the other wants too" he replied looking at them both.

 

"Cass did say he didn't cared if we're mates or not in the end, that he will continue the relationship. Don't know how Fai is cause he was hesitant" he lowered his face. "I told him that i'll stay with him for as long as he wants me. When he doesn't want me anymore then we end things" he added.

 

Kaido was surprised by how Winston talked about all of it. He didn't looked like a 15-almost 16 year old boy anymore. He was acting like a grown up.

“That old dog.” Branwen laughed after listening. “This has Cassidy written all over it.”

 

He shrugged, wrapping a wing around Kaido. “Cassidy has tried to settle down with someone not his mate twice now. Each time the other decided they wanted their mate, that he wasn’t enough.” Bran frowned, “I worry a third might break him.... so try to be gentle with my friend.”

 

He nodded, “Fai is complicated. Maybe my fault too. He wants his mate. Like our parents. Like me now. I think he’d adore kids and noise and just lots of love. I hope he finds it.”

"I know ... one of those was my other brother. I've heard the story from Cass and my brother too" he said looking at Branwen. "But we've talked on the phone and i said that i don't care about that. I'm not my brothers. I will not chase looking for something that maybe isn't even born just to suffer each time because i didn't find it. I will enjoy what i have till they get bored of me. I'm kind of stubborn when it comes to stuff that i like" he said blushing smiling gently.

 

"I'm glad to hear that. You really are growing up Winston" said Kaido smiling placing a hand over him. "I know how hard it is to look for it and each time being dissapointed when the mark wasn't there. So i understand. Just ... be careful" he said gently taking his hand smiling.

 

"I will " he said smiling being grateful of his kind words. plus...Cass won't let me go even if i want to

 

"It's getting late and we should head back home" said Kaido looking at Bran and back at Winston. "But i'm happy i had the chance to see you" he said getting on his feet hugging the kid. He sure had more wisdom than he had. "Tell your brother our goodbyes" He smiled heading to the door.

 

"I will. And thank you again and i'll be waiting for you guys at the party next week" he smiled.

Branwen nodded at him as they rose. It was strange to think that Cassidy was suggesting to stay with this guy when he didn’t fully know if they were even compatible in bed. Was he doing it for Fai? Or did he see something in the kid that Bran didn’t?

 

Now that Branwen has Kaido though.... he couldn’t even recognise the beauty of others. He only had eyes for his mate.

 

“See you later, Winston.” He waved, starting home with his mate.

Taking Branwen's hand he spread his wings feeling much better that he had rested as they stayed there talking with the kid and flew home.

"Do you think their going to make it? All three of them?" he asked as they were flying hand in hand.

 

Winston turned closing the door sighing but his smile never left his face. He was going to live in Kaido's house after his birthday. That was the best thing that could ever happen to him. He ran to his room starting to plan everything about his move. What will he take, what will he leave and so one.

“Honestly?” Branwen said, watching him closely. “No. The chances that all three are mates? And if Fai isn’t....” he shook his head. “I predict he’ll flee very quickly!”

 

Sad really. “Cass wouldn’t scare so quickly. He’d be able to handle two too. Expect maybe not Winston’s age. He’s bound to be immature at times. You know? Plus Cassidy is nearly a hundred. Different trends and things growing up.”

 

Branwen landed at home. “They’ll have a lot to work on. It will be messy to begin with I fear,” Bran has never imagined Fai sharing! Who knew.

 

“Only time will tell.” He admits.

Cassidy called Winston and Fai as always.

Kaido sigh at that information feeling even more guilty for Winston. But the kid was more stronger than he thought he was and deep down he was sure to make it ok out of it of the relationship wasn't going to work.

Once home he went to take a shower, getting ready for rest.

Winston picked his phone and answered after a few rings, still on his desk working on his moving list.

 

"Hey there" he said smiling but his eyes were down on the list, checking it again.

Cassidy smiled. “Hey. You look busy? What are up to?”

 

He watched in concern as it kept ringing. Where was Fai? “how is detainment treating you?” He asked. Trying not to draw too much attention and concern.

 

Moments later Fai appeared, flush cheeks and damp skin and wet hair. “Hey! Sorry. I was in the shower!” Right now, Fai only wore a dressing gown. “How are you two?”

 

“I’m okay.” Cassidy responded.

He didn't had to look at the phone to know that Fai hadn't responded and smiled a little in the corner of his mouth before he lifted his eyes to look at Cass.

 

"I'm making a list for moving after my birthday" he said shortly checking everything. "Plus another list for my birthday" he added looking at the new icon that popped up showing a wet Fai in a gown. He blinked a few times finding him very attractive.

 

"Hey there you" he said smiling then moved his attention back to both lists.

Fai found himself looking at the two pictures thoughtfully.

 

Cassidy watched the other man a moment then asked. “Wait? Moving? After your birthday? What do you mean?” Was Winston assuming he’d move in with him or Fai? He contemplated that.... not a terrible idea. But they’d have to wait until after they’d broke the seal.... knew how Fai was going to react.

 

Fai blinked, “you’re moving?”

"Yeah ... I've spoke with Kaido and he will let me live in his house. Turning into my own home" he said looking at the phone at them two.

 

"Why the surprised faces? I want to live alone. I had that in plan for some time now. I even gathered some money but it wasn't enough. But thanks to Kaido, I have a new home that will need renovated" he smiled super happy.

Cassidy just smiled.

 

Fai nodded, “it can be scary. On your own I mean. Just don’t rush and try to do everything all at once.” He laughed softly.

 

Cassidy shrugged. “I’ve nearly always shared.” He admits. “Though Bran and I have our space and don’t trip over each other very often.”

"I know it can get scary but this is the only way to be away from my brothers and their rules. I'm going to make my own rules and start to depend on myself and not them" he said shrugging.

 

"I can manage but I would need some help with the decorations" he said smiling at them.

Fai smiled. “You want us to help you decorate?”

 

Cassidy watched him. It seemed Winston was growing up. Good. “Sure. I’ll help.”

 

Fai chewed his lip. “What are you doing for your birthday? Are you having a party?”

 

“I know I’m making a chocolate and strawberry cake.” Cassidy laughed.

"If you guys aren't busy and such i wouldn't mind the help with some ideas and help with the renovation" he said smiling genuinely wanting their help.

 

"Right ... There will be a small party at my house. Nothing like extravaganza you and Bran do, smaller" he said teasing Cass. "And of course both of you are invited" he said pointing at them both.

"Sure. I'll help you." Cassidy winked. More than happy for the excuse to help him. "Any ideas of what kind of things you like?"

 

Fai just nodded. He would try to help too.

 

Cassidy’s eyes sparkled. "You’ll need a huge bed. I take up a lot of room." He winked at him. He chuckled more at the comment about his parties, "I don't mind small parties. You sure I'll be welcome? Who else is coming?"

 

"Sure. What time?" Fai asked.

"As far as I know I'll have to clean the house, paint the walls and change the furniture" he said thinking about it remembering the last time he saw it.

He blushed at the mention of the bed size.

will he want to sleep over?

 

"Some friends of mine, you guys, Branwen and Kaido and my family. Its not much but is enough" he shrugged.

 

"Oh, and the house has a beautiful garden up front so Fai you can use your magic with it. I decided to keep it" he smiled.

“Oh? Sure. I can help with the garden.”

 

Cassidy grinned, “maybe that will be my birthday present to you? A big comfortable bed?” Cassidy winked. “Maybe you’ll even lose your virginity on it.” He chuckled softly, just teasing him. “Any objections if I ask Kaido for the keys so I can check out the place?”

 

Fai felt a little ignored and repeated; “what time is your party?” Was it just him or were Cassidy and Winston closer? All chummy and friendliness together? Why was he.... jealous. Was it because Cass spoke of taking Winston’s virginity so easily and yet had denied him for ten years? Yeah.... that sucked big time. Don’t cry idiot!

 

Cassidy nodded, “just small then. Casual dress? Everyone brining a dish or anything for a buffet?” He just needed to check.

"Y-You dont have to buy any furniture" he frowned blushing.

Why was he bringing that idea into talk? I was supposed to be all three of them when that should happen.

"Whatever" he said at the idea of taking a key from Kaido but then realized that way he could have access to the house whenever he liked it and that wasn't good. "Wait...no. If you want to check the house you either do it with Kaido or me. You dont get a key" he said quickly.

 

Taking a deep breath he looked at Fai. "It well be on the evening. Whenever you want to come to my place it's fine. I'll be up from morning so anytime you want I'll be ready to greet you" he smiled to the guy.

 

"Its not necessary to bring something. I'll be happy if everyone can attend it" he said smiling.

Cassidy had been talking about all three of them together. He hadn’t meant to come across as saying one-on-one. They’d discussed this! Repeatedly. Cassidy assumed they understood that.

 

He was actually rather offended by Winston’s words. “I hadn’t intended to keep the key....” but it seemed that Winston was completely against the idea anyway! Hurt he let them talk little.

 

Fai smiled. “Any time? You don’t make it easy.” He laughed. “How about I come round in the afternoon and help you set up?”

 

“I’ll come.” Fai smiled again.

 

“Me too.” Cassidy still felt unsettled, “sorry guys. I’ve got to bail early tonight. Got some stuff to do before tomorrow. I’ll talk to you later.” He hung up.

 

Fai blinked. Shocked. Cassidy had been the one holding everything together.... and yet? He was gone? He chewed his lip and looked at Winston. Should he mention Cassidy’s departure? “Are you looking forward to your birthday?”

Hearing Cass so down of his thought with the key that it made him bite his lip for saying that. But it was hard to know when the guy was serious and when not.

 

I'd appreciate it" he said to Fai smiling but frown when the other dissapeared all of a sudden talking about other business. did I really upset him?

It felt strange to have Cass leave the call first since he was always the one staying longer.

 

"Yeah ... kind of want to fly again. Being stuck in my room or house doesn't work for me" he laughed.

 

"What about you? How have you been ?

Fai didn’t like Cassidy’s sudden departure either. “I bet. You’ll have to have a nice long fly when you’re free.... I’ll go with you.... if you like?” He wasn’t making any assumptions.

 

“I’m....” confused, nervous, anxious, worried, scared “...okay. Been doing a lot of thinking about stuff.” Fai shrugged lightly, “been keeping busy.”

 

Chewing his lip, Fai found himself asking; “do you want it to just be you and Cass?”

"I'll love your company" he said smiling. It was so strange to be just the two of the in the call but he liked it that he had the chance to talk with him without being interrupted or teased.

 

"I see" he said when the other respond just with an 'ok' and frowned at his next question.

 

"What? Why do you think that? No. I want you too" he said quickly blushing. "You're in this too Fai and I'm not letting you go that easily" he frown. "Or ... you dont want us all together?"
