Bran winked at him, “just a skill you need to practise.” He leaned in and kissed him. “Good race.”

 

He didn’t care what position any of them came as long as they had fun! “You beat Fai.” He winked.

 

Fai looked over and grinned. “I don’t mind! Sixth isn’t too bad.” He laughed. He just wanted his brothers mate to enjoy himself!

Kaido was a little to competitive apparently at this things. But after that final round he would stop the racing game. He didn't want to get in his competitive mode to freak the others. He looked with a pleading sorry at Fei for passing him, but apparently the boy didn't mind. He thought that maybe she should let Fei win and get closer to Cass.

 

As the last round started he looked at Branwen and then at the boys who were to focus on the game to even notice something. He then, tried to play so that the others would end up on the first places.

 

"Darn it .... well ... guess i'm still learning" he said as he acted all defeated, winking at Branwen, seeing how happy Fei was.

Fai knew he wasn’t as good as the others, he’d never cared! It was one of the few things Cassidy would actually do with him!

 

“You did well Kaido. Nothing to ashamed of!” Branwen said honestly. He got up and kissed the man’s forehead before heading to the kitchen to check on the pizza.

 

Fai was still a little giddy, reaching for some crisps and dipping them in sauce. “You did well, Kaido! Good game.”

 

Cassidy nodded too, reaching for the same crisps and dip as Fai. “Not bad at all newbie.”

Kaido smiled at their praise. "thanks" .The were really good guys and for that he looked, they were kind of having the same taste in food.

He started laughing without thinking.

"You guys are amazing. You even have the same taste in food" he said laughing leaving the remote on the table. "You guys sure are cute" he said getting up heading to the kitchen. "I'll go make sure the pizza is still intact" he said walking away, leaving them a moment alone.

 

Back in the kitchen he leaned and kissed Branwen's cheek. "Did you know those guys just ate the chips in the same way?" he said explaining what happened just a moment ago.

Fai looked over at Cassidy’s chip only just realising with Kaido’s words that they did like the same. He smiled happy. “See. We do have something in common.”

 

Cassidy watched Kaido go before looking at Fai a little sadly, “it’s not enough.” He said simply, “we’ve discussed this before..... I won’t try with you.”

 

Fai frowned, his wings drooping behind him. Was it really so hopeless!? “I know you think that I’m just a kid....”

 

“Stop. Just stop Fai.” Cassidy looked away as Fai looked up.

 

Fai guessed he’d just be alone forever then. Jealous of ever man or group Cassidy did decide to try with.... knowing it would never be him. He brought his knees closer to chest and just sat in silence.

 

“Oh yeah?” Branwen indulged, but when he looked back he frowned at the sight. Poor Fai looked so dejected.... rejected again. “I really do think it’s time to set Fai up with someone else though....” he hated seeing his brother hurting.

Kaido narrowed his eyes not understanding. But as he turned he saw what the other meant. He felt bad for Fei feeling like that. He wanted him to be happy. He was such a good kid. "Guess in this situation the truth or dare game isn't an option anymore" he said sighing. "Cass kind of ruined the mood" he said feeling sad.

 

“I really do think it’s time to set Fai up with someone else though....”

 

"I can't just ran and get Winston all of a sudden. It's too out of the blue and Cass will get the idea that we try something" he sigh rubbing his forehead. "We must make this be a coincidence that Fei gets to know Winston and so on. That way Cass won't suspect anything and would think is a real thing" he said looking at Branwen. "Any idea how we can do that? Are there any events that are happening these days?"

“Oh! I didn’t mean right now.” Branwen laughed, bumping Kaido.

 

He smiled a moment. “This Winston? Good kid?” He asked carefully.

 

He considered the events but in the end offered, “we could just bring it up and tell him we’re setting him up on date? He might reject the idea though. But there’s a party at the end of the week? I think? We could host a mating celebration too?” Branwen wanted to show him off, “not the ceremony. Just.... a small party to celebrate the mark?” He’d already learnt Kaido wasn’t ready....

“This Winston? Good kid?”

 

"He is a little too enthusiastic with finding his mate. But guess we all were when we were young" he said shrugging. "But he is a good kid. He is kind of the reason i was at your birthday party" he winked. "His brothers wouldn't take so he asked me. And i got him in and saw you again and ... you know the rest" he said blushing.

 

"But guess we can use the ceremony as event. The event is ok. I'll get used to it so ... we can make the whole thing" he said feeling his wings shuddered. "We should get back to the others or Cass will be even more of a dick with Fei and i think i will snap and punch him" he added grabbing his hand taking the pizza with his other hand.

Too enthusiastic? That wouldn’t be a bad thing for Fai. He needed someone to take an interest in him. “I have a lot to thank him for then.” Bran smiled.

 

Branwen blinked at Kaido’s words. Instantly moving closer, crowding him as he pinned him to the counter. “Wait.... the ceremony? You’ll do the mating ceremony with me?” The smile that split his face was so honest and genuine!

 

“They can wait a moment!” He declared, sealing their lips together in a hard, hot kiss. Kaido was going to do the ceremony with him! He was the happiest fairy around.

 

Fai just took another crisp, purposely not dipping it as he looked through the games as a distraction.

 

Cassidy knew he was hurting Fai... but this really was the best thing for the guy. He didn’t need to be tied to someone like him. It was best he found his mate elsewhere!

"hugh?" he looked surprised at him as he was standing in a small cage made by his hands.

“Wait.... the ceremony? You’ll do the mating ceremony with me?”

He blushed, taking a deep breath.

"Y-Yeah .... ngh?!" he moaned softly in the kiss being caught out of guard but then laughed at seeing the other so happy. "I thought about it and ... i think it will be fine" he said shrugging smiling.

"Now let's go. We need to cheer Fei" he said kissing him quickly dragging him out the kitchen.

 

"Sorry guys for waiting. Pizza is served " he said placing the plate on the table. "Come now, don't rush into it" he said ironically looking at them two, but longing at Fei. don't worry buddy ... i'll try my best to make this dick head how amazing you are, he thought looking at Cass.

 

Even if he just meat Fei, he felt like a little brother to him as he welcomed him along with Cass, to the family. But Fei was too sweet for Cass, so someone had to make Cass stick his head out of the ass and see the beautiful soul he had in front of him.

“Yeah? Well good. I’ll start working on your flower crown tomorrow.” He declared excitedly!

 

“Fai will be fine. He’s a big boy.” He grinned.

 

“Looks nice. Thanks for pulling them out.” Fai offered. He stood to get a drink but strategically sat the other side of the table as he grabbed a slice of pizza too.

 

Cassidy noticed the move. His heart ached.... but this was for the best. Fai needed.... someone else.

 

Branwen sat, “so! Kaido just agreed to hold the mating ceremony with me.” He grinned.

 

Fai giggled and clapped. “Really? That’s amazing!”

"Yeah ... guess is no use in postponing it " he shrugged. "I guess i can handle that" he said smiling, liking that Fei was still trying to have a good friends night.

 

"So ... what does happen at this events exactly?" he asked thoughtful.

Fai just smiled, eating pizza as he let his thoughts wander. What would it be like? To make a crown for Cassidy? To stand beside him and proclaim they were mates?

 

It was just a dream. A dream he’d never get....

 

“You don’t know?” He blinked in surprise.

 

Branwen was surprised too. “Don’t you know?” He smiled. “Maybe it’s a wood nymph thing?” He sat and wrapped an arm around him. “So, we exchange crowns and I fuck you all to see.”

 

Fai slapped Bran’s leg. “Ignore him! No you don’t.”

 

Cassidy chuckled. “You do exchange crowns though. You have to weave and make one for each other and then on the day you exchange them as a physical sign of the bond you’re promising to form together.”

 

“Then we kiss.” Bran smiled. “And dance or eat food or whatever we want. It’s our day.”

 

Fai chuckled, “Branwen has been dreaming of his ‘day’ for a long time.”

 

Bran glared at his brother.

 

“Leave him be,” Cass smirked, “you know you have. You want to show your mate off.”

 

It was the truth.

 

“You’ve searched since thirteen for them.” Cassidy added with a smirk.

 

Also truth.

 

But Bran frowned. “He didn’t need to know I’ve been having sex since thirteen.....”

 

“Why not if it’s the truth!” Fai laughed.

 

“We can’t all be virgins at twenty three!” Bran teased back and instantly regretted it as he saw Fai crumble a little before his eyes.

 

“Yeah... pretty silly.... huh....” Fai swallowed and stood. “Excuse me.... I need the toilet....” he tried to smile as he left.

?No ? I don?t? now he felt a little stupid for asking. ?I?ve never been to things like that? he said playing with his fingers. Never wanted too see everyone happy with their mates as he stood alone, he thought but listen carefully eating some pizza.

 

?So, we exchange crowns and I fuck you all to see.?

 

He had split the food out of his mouth almost chocking. He couldn?t have sex in front of everyone. That was too much. Thank goodness that Fei his fear.

 

He punched him with the elbow, meaning that he didn?t find it that funny.

 

As the other went by with the information he had found out about Branwen searching for his mate. Wow, so early ?. Guess he was eagered to find him? I mean ? me, he thought laughing at all three of them.

 

But the next part of the conversation didn?t go so well as Branwen couldn?t keep his mouth shut.

Kaido looked afraid at Fei who was now running away.

 

?Now you?ve done it ?. Idiot? he said as he got up and fallowed the other catching him in the hall crying.

 

?Hey buddy ? you?re alright? he said trying to comfort him. ?Please excuse your brother his ?. Well ?. He?s an idiot when it comes to this things I guess? he said touching his shoulder wanting to make him feel better.

 

?I don?t judge or anything. In the end is your choice and your choice only when and with whom you want to do it? he said with a smile.

Cassidy frown as he watched Fai go.... he knew he was partly to blame. The guy had been hitting on him since he was a kid. He was still a kid! His best friends brother. Taboo. He wasn’t about to go spoiling the guy! Fai deserves tenderness and joy.... not... not him!

 

“Ouch!” Bran rubbed his ribs but didn’t argue as Kaido went after Fai. He sighed. “Me and my big mouth.” He grunted.

 

“Yeah....” Cassidy said looking down.

 

Fai was surprised when Kaido caught up to him. His wings fluttered and he very much wanted to flee.

 

He shook his head, “it’s okay. I don’t blame Branwen..... I don’t blame Cassidy either.... not really.” He frowned, “I imagine you know?” Everyone knew. Everyone knew Cassidy refused him too! “If Cassidy had.... given in.... when I first asked? I would have been thirteen too.” He smiled sadly. “But he doesn’t want me and it’s time I give up trying. Ten years is long enough to wait for someone.” He shook his head. “I’m okay. Really. Let me just go to the toilet and clean up. Go back to Bran. I’m okay.” He promised. Wiggling free and going to the bathroom.

He wanted to say more and comfort the kid but he ran away to the bathroom. His heart clenched. pore kid, he sigh.

 

Turning back in the living room Kaido sat on the couch taking one of Cass cocktails to drink. He hated to see other people that he liked suffer. Maybe hooking up Fae with Winston will be a good idea after all.

 

"He needs a moment" he said gulping the alcohol. "He's in the bathroom" he said letting the others know that Fae was in the house, safe, not roaming away or anything.

Cassidy hadn’t thought Fai would wander, “he’ll be okay. He gets like this from time to time.”

 

Branwen frowned at his friend who had the good sense to look sheepish. “He’ll be okay Kaido. Fai is stronger than he looks.” He might be addressing Kaido. But he was looking at Cass!

 

Slowly he turned to look at Kaido and smiled. “Tell me about the guy we’re going to set a date up with for Fai?” Maybe he wanted to rub it in to Cass a little.

Kaido looked surprised and cough a little when Branwen mention the date for Fae.

 

"Oh ... ah ... he is a friend of mine. Well , actually my only friend. Winston. He is a water fairy. I think they would get along pretty good but who knows" he shrugged looking at Cass with the corner of his eye.

Cassidy looked away. He knew what Bran was doing and damn it! He didn’t like it. Funny, underhanded fairy! “Good for him. Fai needs more friends.” He said simply, playing it off.

 

Branwen grinned. Bingo. “I think they might get on better than friends. We’ll see.” He chuckled. “So! You bringing anyone to my ceremony? Or coming solo?”

 

“Solo. I might get lucky then.” Cass said simply. It’s not so you can keep an eye on Fai.... of course not! That would be foolish. Fai needed to move on... he wasn’t Cassidy’s responsibility. he knew the lies he told himself so well.

He didn't liked how Cass was talking. he knew that the other was bugged by this friend that they wanted Fae to hock up and was acting all cool.

 

"I'll ask him tomorrow when i go home what he thinks about it" he said looking at Branwen.

 

He was also looking from time to time to the door in hopes that Fae would return. "Guess the game night is off" he said sighing.

Bran shook his head, “it’s not. Trust me, Fai will still play. About a board game next? Will you help me set up Small World, Cass? We can walk him through the basic rules while we wait.” To Kaido he smiled, “this is Fai’s favourite games.”

 

He starts getting pieces out. “So... on your go you pick one the species already out. These two numbers,” he pointed, “tell you how many pieces you get of that species and your abilities are listed on this card.” He handed one to him. “As the species and abilities are separated they get paired differently each game. Once you’ve got the pieces you need to take over the world. Unless it’s an ability you have to start at the edge of the map and not in the ocean. You need two pieces to take over a square plus one extra to defeat any characters already there. At the end of your go you get a coin for ever land you’re stood in. You can move characters to preparation for moving next go.” He smiled. “At the start of your turn you can put them into decline. This basically means you flip them over. You get points if they still sit in a square but you can’t move them or take anyone over. The next turn you can pick a new species.” It was a little like risk. “After ten rounds the winner is the person with the most coins.” He offered.

 

Fai soon came back out, his wings fluttering a little behind him as he sat away from Cassidy once more. “Oh! Small world. I love this game. It’s like risk Kaido. Have you ever played?”

His mind was twisted not understanding a word the other said. Too much information at once. But as they said before. Playing he will learn.

 

Seeing Fae back he smiled, happy that he did returned and he was willing to play. guess this is really his favorite game

 

"Honestly never heard of it but ... as you said before ... i'll learn while playing" he said smiling looking closer at the game.

“I can help you.” Fai promised. “I don’t care if I don’t win.” He hummed gently.

 

Branwen smiled at them. “Cassidy you go first.”

 

They started to play, laughs and jokes soon settling in the room again.

As the game went on Kaido did had fun and was starting to understand the game. Thanks more to the help Fae was giving. Branwen was more the one who tried to distract him.

 

"Are you trying to make me lose this game?" he asked laughing.

“I just like your attention on me,” Branwen winked and played his hand. “Too bad Cass. That’s your last piece!”

 

Cass grunted but didn’t comment.

 

“Okay! That’s the end. Everyone count their coins.” Bran grinned.

 

Cassidy counted it, “32 for me.”

 

“28 for me.” Branwen winked to Kaido.

 

“33.” Fai offered shyly.
