Ever in doubt, sorrow and such feelings of despair is just a sweet juice for them and one can get tangled" he said thinking that the demons were still in the modern world.

 

"Don't know why they linked on you since you said you've found me ... i mean .. the other me in your life which should be okay ... i don't know how they operate or what their plan is " he shrugged tucking the bag on his hand looking at the guy as he pointed out his hairpin.

 

"Yeah ... He gave me this when we ... start being lovers. That's when i gave him the pendant. Its actually a charm with some spiritual power to protect him when i'm not around" he said frowning at what he said. "Which i think it kind of did with you when it took you to this time and i was around to protect you" he added smiling at the strange connection between the worlds and how the pendant was still active.

 

"We should head home. It will soon be dark" he said shortly heading to exit the city.

"I suppose I should thank you then for protecting Hikaru... for protecting me." "Hikari" smiled, given that most of his features were concealed by the hat, the most Keiko was able to see was the corners of his mouth tilting up. "Here, let me carry some of the stuff. I feel bad just walking behind you empty handed." He said as he took half the load off Keiko's hands and followed the guardian back to the mansion. The road back was uneventful at frist, but as the sun slowly began to set and the sky was painted blood red, "Hikari" suddenly felt a strange chill crawling up his spine. He grabbed the corner of Keiko's clothes and whispered: "Something doesn't feel right Keiko... Let's hurry back to the mansion!"

 

As the two began running back suddenly their paths were blocked by a gust of dark smoke which quickly transformed into countless grotesque monstrosities began swarming out and began charging towards the two. Beyond them another swarm of monsters have surrounded the mansion and were banging against an invisible wall keeping them out.

He wanted to protest about caring the bags but if the guys was anything the same as his love he knew that arguing about that was pointless as he was going to do his way. So he gave some of the small bags for him to carry.

 

As the sun was setting and the sky took a shade of red, Keiko tensed as an uncertain feeling was gulping inside him.

"Something doesn't feel right Keiko... Let's hurry back to the mansion!"

He hated that statement but he agreed as he felt the same.

 

As they quickened their pace he stopped in shock seeing the fog and demons roaming outside of it blocking their way as he noticed others trying to get through the protection barrier that surrounded the mansion.

 

He dropped the bags and took out his sword prepared to fight them but hearing the other behind him, it was going to be hard protecting him and fighting all without getting hurt. Taking a deep breath he took the hairpin out of his hair and gave it to Hikari.

 

"Take this and hurry to the mansion. It will form a barrier around you so once your through the walls inside you'll be safe. Tell Hikaru he needs to get his shit out and dissolve this fuckers" he snarled keeping the sword in one hand, prepared at any time to slice some demon ass and with the other the hairpin towards Hikari.

 

"Wha'cha waiting for. Move!" he snapped at him and at that moment a few demons sprang towards them and Keiko shielded Hikari with his sword. "Fuck... Move Hikari! NOW DAMN IT!" he yelled at him pushing the demons away as he started to slice one after another as he took some punches and cuts himself.

When the demons showed up "Hikari" was frozen in fear, trembling at the horrifying visages of those creatures of darkness, fangs, claws, twisted features and horrifying screeches laughs and growls. He wasn't even able to react to Keiko when the guardian handed him his hair-pin. "K... Keiko I can't...!" Hikari said with teary eyes and cried out in horror as the guardian blocked the attack of one of the demons. But the man's yell somehow was able to do the trick as Hikari began sprinting forward towards the mansion while screaming and crying in fear, his hat flew away as he tripped and stumbled but he quickly got up and kept running. Some of the demons tried to harm him but they were all blocked by the barrier emanating from the hairpin. Eventually he was able to break through the swarm of beasts and as he stepped into the courtyard he saw Hikaru standing there with his hands held forward holding what appeared to be a paper charm.

 

"Hi.. Hikaru! Keiko want you to...!" Hikari cried out.

 

"Get out and melt those bastards? Yes I know! But the barrier is too battered and if I don't maintain it they'll break through and kill all the servants!" Hikaru yelled with a frown, then suddenly he seemed to have an idea and said: "I know, why don't you take over? Catch!" Hikaru threw the charm towards Hikari which despite it being made of paper it cut through the air without wavering and landed straight between Hikari's fingers. During this the barrier flickered for a brief moment and some of the demons managed to push their limbs through, but as soon as Hikari took hold of the charm the barrier came back and their limbs got vaporized into a gust of black smoke and faded away.

 

"Wh.. what's happening?" Hikari whined in confusion.

 

"You're doing good kid! Keep up!" Hikaru smiled as he began dashing towards his lover, all the while throwing needles at the demons which somehow was able to froze them in place, but only for a brief moment. Soon he arrived at Keiko's side and muttered something while touching the man's forehead. All of his wounds quickly disappeared and he smiled: "Now let's finish this with a bang!"

 

Hikaru closed his eyes while holding his hands over his chest. His body began emanating a beautiful silver aura while he chanted: "By the name of Mitsurugi I command thee... come forth!" Suddenly there was an explosion of light coming from the priest's chest and from it emerged the handle of a sword. Hikaru took Keiko's hand and as they pulled the sword out, its curved blade made shining a light which despite it overshadowing even the setting sun did not cause any pain to those starring at it. Hikaru smiled: "Now my dear, finish them off."
