“ I thought Ayme wasn’t a mate to you” Yukie replied as he looked over at Ayme who’s eyes watched the people walking outside. “Will you still want him if he isn’t like me and changes his looks?” Yukie asked curiously knowing Ayme was wanting to be his own wolf more.

I know he is not my mate but ... He's been part of our lives since the beginning. If you want this only for us o will not mind. I just don't want to make him feel left out, he shrugged looking at Ayme and back at Yukie.

its not because he looks like you .... I mean...it is but ... He is different than you ... YOU are my mate but I've seen how you too are and I know you want him close. I really don't know how to work this out if you don't tell me

“Well Ayme can be my mistress if your fine with that and I’m sure he would love the gift” Yukie admitted as he held ginos hand closer.

He didn't liked the idea of mistress. He remembered when he found out about Ayme and how he took Yukie's place and all. He didn't liked the idea of sharing Yukie, and he accepted to have Ayme in their lives but ... now that Yukie wanted to make it official and actually buy rings for them two, hearing him say he would have Ayme as a mistress made him feel a little off. 

I know that we talked about this and back then i told you i don't want Ayme in my life cause he is not my mate , you are. Then i've accept it but ... it's still off. He is not you and ... i don't feel good sharing you. You're MY mate , he said frowning looking at the rings through the glass. 

Would you be okay if i were to have a mistress? Knowing that i will  fuck someone else that isn't you? he asked looking worried at him. 

From what he learned and saw, mates were mates. There hasn't been mistresses in the picture. Once you got a mate he was your everything. He just couldn't understand how someone could still want someone else when they had found their mate. After a mating that was called cheating. Would he be okay with it? What would that say about him? That he wasn't good enough? He changed so much for Yukie and still wasn't enough? 

I-I want to go ... I don't feel like buying anything anymore, he said taking deep breaths as he left Yukie and went out of the store walking pass Ayme and heading outside, fallowing the path to the aquarium. He didn't want to go to the aquarium anymore but it was a promise for Ayme. Sighing he just stopped at the entrance waiting for the others, not talking.

“...your asking upset him huh?” Ayme asked as Yukie sighed and nodded still purchasing the rings and pocketing the box. “Apologize and talk to him. We both know the outcome and we’ve discussed it...” Ayme added his eyes a little sad as he looked at Yukie. “Take him out...break the news. I’ll be home waiting for you both” Ayme mumbled as he kissed Yukies cheek and went off on his own waiting for Raven to come get him leaving Yukie to do the hardest part. Sighing softly Yukie walked over to his mate stopping for a moment before taking his hand. 

“...I think it’s time we talked about some things...I need to discuss our future more. Ayme went home for the night Raven is going to come get him.” Yukie explained as he looked away clearly unsure how to speak his mind in this moment. “If you don’t want to that’s fine...but we need to talk eventually...” Yukie whispered his voice breaking a little.

As Yukie got closer he looked at him not understanding what he meant and why he was the one acting like that. Is not like he did something wrong or anything. Sighing he turned and looked at him waiting to start talking. 

What do we need to talk about?

“I’m wanting to get testing for an underlying cause for getting so sick...but in doing so...I’m afraid Ayme will try to help by donating his organs. I know a few of my organs have flaws...hence the medication to keep them running but it’s getting hard. If Yu does find anything serious after all the testing I might need to go to an actual hospital to see if they can fix it and what I can do.” Yukie explained with a small frown clearly nervous about the options. “I don’t want him to do it so if I treat him like a lover and like a mate...I can use that to keep him safe from saving me” Yukie explained his voice breaking a little at the fear of Ayme doing something stupid for him.

What? he said in shock frowning at yukie not believing what he had just said. Internal problems? What the hell?! 

And how long will you think you will manage to do that? He should have a chance to find someone he loves. Someone to be with and not being kept safe as your olders did with him all those years, he said hopping he was going to understand and not force something that he thinks it would be safe for Ayme on him. Yes, having Ayme risking his life for Yukie was the main idea the elders did but Ayme needed to see the world more and explore it and think for himself. There should be other posibilities to help Yukies health than using someone else. 

I want him to be happy and have a family. I don't know how it will be if we decide to have a family of our own Yukie. Maybe he will seem happy but i'm not sure he will actually be because i'm sure he will want one of his own. Yes he will be part of our family but it will not feel the same

“What if he doesn’t want that?” Yukie asked with a frown not knowing what all Ayme would want since he barely knew him. “He’s talked to me about it...since we met he’s always been worried about my health...” Yukie added unsure and confused on what he should do. “...the family curse...it could be broken and I could outlive my fathers age...eventually on my next birthday I’ll start to get worse and everything wrong will eventually kill me.” Yukie whispered clearly scared of the fate he had been told of since birth.

You're not gonna die, you hear me?! he snapped standing in fron of him feeling tears forming in his eyes. He didn't want to think about that possibility seeing his health problems. That stupid cuurse was never going to happe since they weren't to have a child. That thing was still stinging in his heart but he pass it aside as he accepted that. They had the puppies from the house that needed love and affection. 

Look ... i love Ayme like family ... like a family ... yes i got carried away by emotions when i was in heat but that happened one time but i ... I will not accept him as your lover, he finally said it biting his lower lip so hard that he felt the taste of his blood in his mouth, as he cutted his lip with his teeth. 

I'm sorry but i just ... can't , tears formed in his eyes but he managed to whiped them before falling on his cheeks, not wanting to look weak.

“Then you have no say on if he goes through with any medical procedures” Yukie replied with a sigh gently reaching for his mate and taking his hand.

N-No ... he doesn't have to ... Y-You'll be fine ... You'll not need any medical procedure ... Stop saying that as if you're going to die, cause you're not, he said frowning looking at thier hands shaking his head, keeping his eyes shut.

“I won’t die I promise you. I won’t.” Yukie replied as he wrapped his arms around Ginto and held him close kissing his head. “But I still will need to go and see what’s wrong. At least figure out how to take better care of myself” Yukie added determined to stay healthy for his mate and their future together.

As soon as he was hugged so tightly he wrapped his arms around the others waist holding him tightly by the shirt and his tears fell down his cheeks. He couldn't control them anymore. He wasn't going to let him die. Not for as long as he was there. And he was not gonna let Ayme be the replacement organ doner. No. He had to get a life of his own. He deserved that much. Yukie was his and his only and no one, not even death was going to get him. He was going to make sure that Yukie will be healthy and strong again, no matter what. 

After a few moments of silence in which he managed to calm himself, he took a deep breath, letting out in a deep sigh. He didn't let go of his lover yet. Let's get home ... I think we had enough shopping for the day, he said lifting his eyes to look at him, still holding him in his arms.

“Alright let’s go home we can figure this out more tomorrow” Yukie replied with a small sigh his arms wrapping around his mate tightly before letting him go and leading the way to the car. “When we get back let me talked to Yu and see what my options are.” Yukie added with a small sad smile already exhausted from the outing

Fallowing the other to the car and getting in he looked at Yukie as e set his seatbelt on. 

We'll be talking to Yu .... together, he said firmly

“I could dream of a thousand things better then voluntarily visiting Yu at the hospital.” Yukie mumbled not wanting his mate to see him go through the testing and a actual doctor visit with Yu.

We can work things together .... You're not alone anymore, get that to your thick head of yours, he said holding his hand in his smiling. 

He was not gonna leavde Yukie alone. He was going to be there for him.

“I know I’m not...it’s just a boring day just waiting for tests and to go onto the next step” Yukie replied as he parked the car back home. “I really appreciate you doing this with me...and in turn you should get yourself checked out also. A full physical.” Yukie added with a smirk knowing if he had to go through it his mate should at least get looked at also.

Ginto rolled his eyes smiling shaking his head. Fine ... I'll do them too, he said stepping out of the car and back into the house. 

When do you need to see Yu? I believe we need to go to the clinic to do all the test and check-ups, he said walking the halls alongside Yukie.

“Well for full checkups like I need it will be at his hospital. Yu is busy so Raven runs the wolf clinic in town under Yus guidance. Yu runs the bigger hospital in the sanctuary back at home.” Yukie explained as he got out and went to open Gintos door.

"Do you need to call YU and let him know that we're coming? or do we go just like that" , he really was curious about all this check up. He was afraid of needles but he was going to do it for him as promised.

“Normally we would but I don’t think he will mind he’s been trying to get me in for months so he might actually cry and hug you.” Yukie replied as he lead the way into the sanctuary and down the street towards the hospital deciding to walk. On the street there where wolves everywhere some in family groups with kids others in simple couples and a few single wolves all going about their day in both wolf and human form.

"I still find it strange to see some of them in wolf form" he said smiling looking around at the people as they were walking down the street to the clinic. "I'm glad to see that they are okay with some of my pack members", he added walking right next to the other

“Yeah a lot of our males and females are from roaming broken packs or just went off on their own to find a mate and as long as they behave and play nice they are free to live here” Yukie replied as he took his mates hand and held it close. “I wanted a society where we lived near humans but could all get along hence why housing,medical,and job opportunities are easily available.” Yukie explained a touch more as the giant hospital that was very modern yet relaxing appeared at the end of the road.
