"There is also technology. The thing you saw me trying to get it worked in the first day .... that was my phone. A device that helps you reach miles and talk with a person far away but you need energy to work it out which you guys don't have it here" he added sadly. He thought about having phones so that they could talk but, since they don't have electricity, it was pointless after a few hours. 

"The people on the other hand are more .... narrow minded" he said looking up the sky. "They are not as open as your people about same sex relationship. they are still thinking like is something wrong, so not many are accepting it, which makes it hard on our end. But we survive" he smiled turning his eyes to Taio, trying to smile. "We are fighters hopping something we will be accepted like here" he said placing his hand over Taio's, lifting it up to his lips and kissing it.

While Taio was mesmerized by what Bash was telling him and trying to understand and take in the mass difference between their worlds he just couldn't grasp how different things were. Buildings made out of things stronger than what they had here? Doors you could shut that other people couldn't get past? Those were things that seemed so... absurd! But that was just the start, then Bash was telling him about cars, Taio struggling to understand how anything round could make their boats move but he figured that there was more too it than just that and that he really just didn't know what these things were like. What really got his attention was learning about the device that he had seen Bash try to use that very first day, learning that it allowed them to communicate with each other over vast distances. Taio got excited for a moment only for the hopes of such a device helping them once Bash left upon learning that what these things took to work the village didn't have.

That was upsetting, but Taio knew that he should have expected that kind of thing. Their worlds were so different and what he had access to in the village was nothing like what Bash had access to back home. He'd just have to accept that once the man left they'd have no contact, that it'd be almost as though the other man had never arrived here. Well, other than the hole in his heart that was bound to be left after Bash left. Taio still kind of hoped that maybe one day he could go after him, that they could meet again and be together. Maybe... maybe he could still convince Bash to let him go with him in the first place? While Taio understood his place was here in the tribe he couldn't bare the thought of not having Bash here with him and he couldn't convince the man to stay. It was already so clear that the other man needed to return home.

Those thoughts were pushed aside though because he was being told about how same sex relationships where Bash came from weren't accepted like the village. Well, Taio felt like that wasn't entirely surprising since the village was made up entirely of males. But there were females where Bash was from and apparently male and female was what was expected while relationships between two males and even two females wasn't as accepted. "That's a bummer." Taio admitted after being told that they had to hide when they did simple things, do them in private away from other people. "Two people should be able to show affection and love no matter who is around, regardless of the genders in the relationship." He expressed. Though he figured thanks to the village he had a much different outlook on such matters.

Thinking about it more he decided to ask again if Bash would let him come along. "When you go home... can't I come with you?" He asked his eyes looking up at the man and there was clear pain and sadness at the thought of Bash leaving him behind. "I know you think my place is here and I am sure that the village will be disappointed or upset at the idea of me leaving but I don't want to lose you either." Taio expressed his hand holding the other's firmly. "Don't you want me to go with you?" He questioned wondering why Bash had kept turning him away. Maybe he'd do it again, and if he did Taio would just have to accept that Bash truly didn't think his world was for him and that he was better off here. Maybe the other man was right and going with him would be a mistake, but he wouldn't know unless he tried. It bothered him that they wouldn't be able to be as open about their love where Bash was from, but at least he'd still have Bash and that kind of made it worth it.

"My world would be dangerous but i can take care of you and teach you how to go along each day. But i'm afraid that you might not like it and would want to come back here" he said biting his lower lip, ruffling his hair sighing. 

"damn this is complicated" he mumbled more to him. 

"I want you with me. I want you to come with me but i'm afraid" he shrugged.

It made Taio incredibly happy perking up instantly when Bash expressed that he would love to have him with him. However, the 'but' caused him to frown and watch the other man as he asked what the village would say. Expressing he didn't want them to hate him for taking him away. If he was being honest, Taio had no idea how the others would react and there was a chance that they would respond negatively. No one had ever left the village before, it just wasn't done. "I can't tell you that they'd be happy, because I don't know how they'd respond. No one's ever left the village before and I can't imagine that they'd be excited at the prospect of someone leaving now." There was no point in lying about it after all.

Bash was being sweet telling him that while his world would be dangerous he could take care of him and teach him how things worked there. Taio was sure that he'd be a quick learner, or at least he'd do his best to learn quickly. It was an exciting idea to think of seeing the world beyond the village, beyond the forests he had known his entire life. See what no one else from the village ever had. It made it so that he wasn't even aware at first that Bash had expressed being afraid that he wouldn't like it and would want to come home. "I can't say it won't be hard for me to leave, that I won't miss the village but... maybe some day we could come back to visit? "You don't have to be afraid, Bash." Taio added giving the other man a loving smile. "You mean the world to me, I can't imagine you not in my life. I know that your world will be a lot different and it may be hard on me at first but I'll do my best to adjust quickly. With you at my side... all I can see is a bright future. Even if where you're from people aren't as open or accepting couples of the same sex. It's worth it... though I'll have to learn to not be as open about my love and affection towards you around other people." That would probably be one of the biggest challenges. Displays of affection and love weren't just normal in the village it was encouraged from a young age. The concept of not being able to do so when in public was definitely a foreign idea but he'd do his best to control himself. Though it made him wonder if he should start trying to restrain such display of affections now. The past weeks were like he was living into a fairytale. While everything had seemed perfect and he was really loving how things were going there was something that had changed. Something he was feeling he needed to discuss with Bash immediately. So he went looking for him, it wasn't hard to find his boyfriend working to make the fire for lunch. He announced his presence by clearing his throat as he moved towards the other man offering him a smile before leaning down to kiss his shoulder gentle. "Bash? When you get a moment I think we need to talk." Taio told him saying it in English to make sure that no one else was listening. It was moments like this that made him really happy that they both knew the other's language since it allowed him to talk to Bash in the other's language when he wanted to make sure no one else knew what was being said.

It concerned him a little to tell Bash what he needed to tell him not sure how the man would respond but knowing that it needed to be done sooner than later. Right now though he knew it was best to get it out of the way encase there would be some sort of issue coming from it. There was a chance he was wrong and that they wouldn't have to worry about it but if he wasn't then it needed to be said.

Hearing a voice from behind him he left the wood down and turned, seeing Taio standing.

"Bash? When you get a moment I think we need to talk." 

He frown a little not understanding the change in his voice. It seemed that something was off but he just didn't know what. 

"I'm done with the fire so we can talk now if you want" he said cleaning his hands on a piece of clothe, walking closer to him. "Is something wrong?" he asked curiously and also worried as he never seen Taio like that before.

Taio gave Bash a small smile when he realized that the other man seemed to be a bit worried. "No. Well... I mean we'll see how you take it." He admitted knowing that it probably didn't make the other man feel any better. Taking his hand he lead the other away from the fire he had been making and towards his hut where they could have a private conversation. Granted, if they stayed in English the conversation would be private no matter where they had it but he felt like it was better to have it private in the sense that there weren't other people around. Sitting down on his bed he pat the spot beside him and waited for Bash to join him slipping his hand into the other's.

"So... our relationship has been getting more serious lately and there has been something I've been wanting to talk to you about because of that but whenever I thought about mentioning it my mind was never focused for very long." Taio started. Teasing the other and nudging him gently because normally this thought came up when they were about to have sex or during and his mind was never very focused for long especially when there were much better things for his mind to focus on. "We touched base on this a little when you first arrived but I don't think you really remember. Or... maybe you just didn't think about it." He added realizing he was kind of beating around the bush here and not really getting out what he wanted or what they really needed to talk about.

Sighing he pushed the nerves aside and decided to be honest. "You know men in the village can get pregnant, right? I mean... like I said we talked about it a little when you first arrived because you had asked if there were any females in the village. But I don't really think that the implications of that sunk in." Taio started. "Not all men in the village can get pregnant and it honestly doesn't make all that much sense to us who can and can't and why it's like that. Basically... we've been having a lot of sex and there is a chance that I will... if not already end up pregnant." He finally got out. Despite a few weeks having passed since they first switched roles and all the sex they had been having since -though they continued switching based on moods and wants- Taio didn't know if he was, but there was still the possibility. Especially if their relationship continued to be like this since he was going to be returning with Bash to his world.

"I just... didn't want to spring it on you suddenly and you getting mad at me for not mentioning it before. Here... it's not unusual and no one gives it a second glance but with the days that will lead to our departure and going back to where you come from grower fewer it's something we need to talk about. It's something you need to understand." Taio was telling Bash for many reasons but the main one was because while a pregnancy in the village wouldn't be surprising and was normal a male pregnancy away from the village didn't happen. Taio had learned that from their talks and understood that was why Bash had been so confused that there were no females in the village upon his initial arrival. He wasn't sure how Bash would feel about the news and he didn't want the man to get mad at him for not mentioning it or freak out if he wasn't ready for a family.

At the same time Taio new there was a chance -probably even a very high chance- that he could already be pregnant. For the village it was hard to determine if another was pregnant until the later stages. Normally after a couple months. That was when the body started showing more signs and became more apparent. At least to the pregnant person, it would still be a bit more before it was clear to the rest of the tribe. But a pregnancy in the village was a good thing, everyone was always so happy. Taio figured it was because pregnancies in the village weren't as common as they used to be when the village had been more than double the population it was today. Over time their numbers had dwindled and yet they still managed to survive without contact with the outside world. This kind of pregnancy away from the village was honestly a pretty scary idea for Taio especially since he clearly hadn't gone through a pregnancy before. If he had there was a good chance it wouldn't bother him this much since he'd know what to expect from it. While he helped some of the others through their pregnancies and such he didn't know what it was like or what to expect being the one pregnant. At the moment he didn't really want to think about it either deciding that he would just focus on the simple aspects of this. That he could be and if he wasn't that he could end up that way.

"What are you talking about? What happened?" he asked more confused than before not understanding why the other was so worried about his reaction. Did he missed something? Did someone said anything about him? What could have been so bad? When he dragged him out from the place and took him to his hut, his heart started racing, making him more worried than before.

"Taio, you're not making any sense" he said frowning trying to keep himself calm and not panic as he sat near the other on the bed. All the worst scenarious were now starting to form in his mind and the fact that the other was beating around the subject and not just telling him what it was, wasn;t helping him either.

"When i first arrived?" he said confused trying to remember what they talked about and what could it be the reason bo his way of behaving. But no matter how much he tried to rememeber he just couldn't figure out their first conversation which happened almost 3 months ago.

Now that the other spoke he realized what was about and blinked in surprise that he completly forgot about it. And the way he was talking and all was making more sense now. As Taio continued talking about the fact that being a male pregnant wasn;t a problem in the village, in his world that would be something strange and unacceptable. They would lock him up and do experiments on him just to see what the hell he was. And maybe would look for others like him and then the village and everyone would be in dangeour. They didn't used condoms or anything and he complitly forgot of that aspect. He completly forgot as they got more close and more sexually active in switching and all, but he never thought that he would be one of the males from the village that could get pregnant. 

"Are you pregnant?" he managed to asked frowning. If he was, then he couldn't take him with him back to his home. The couldn't risk it him getting hurt. But most of all, he didn't want to hurt the baby as it was his. Holy fuck my kid!! he thought feeling his blood drawn away from his body, leaving him white as the snow. 

"Taio .... are you pregnant?" he asked again this time without a shaki voice.

Bash asking him if he was pregnant and the man becoming so pale made Taio even more reluctant to tell him the answer. He already feared the answer changing their plans and meaning that he had to stay behind after all. It was hard for him to try to think of how to answer without getting a response he didn't want. Taio wanted to go with Bash, he wanted to start a family with him. The thought of carrying the other's baby made him really happy and excited. The thought of it forcing them apart concerned him deeply.

Bash was asking again if he was pregnant, this time his voice didn't shake. Taio sat there quietly for a moment just holding Bash's hands tightly in both of his. "Yes." He finally answered. He tried to brace himself to receive bad news for Bash to go off on how he couldn't go back with him now, how he wasn't ready for a child and other such things. Taio knew the other was still young, maybe a child would just be a burden and Bash would decide this was all too much and leave even quicker now. 

While they were about the same age pregnancy in the village was actually expected and preferred young. They were less likely to have complications in a young pregnancy. "I'm sorry..." Taio murmured. While the pregnancy was still in the early stages it had progressed enough for some symptoms to finally emerge. Taio had grown more sensitive to different scents and was oddly tired. Normally he would have assumed that he was ill and just not feeling well. It was the timeline and the events that had taken place that made him realize otherwise.

He even half expected Bash to be mad for not reminding him sooner that he could get pregnant so they could avoid it. But the village didn't have ways of avoiding pregnancy, it was encouraged. Once a male who was capable of becoming pregnant was picked by another pregnancy was encouraged completely. It wasn't even unusual for the pair to disappear in the middle of chores to have sex. For obvious reasons. The more sex the pair had the greater chance pregnancy would occur and that a new generation would be born. That was how it was for them.

Bash wasn't from here though, he may not have been ready and Taio felt guilty for not warning Bash about the possibility the first night they switched. He had just been so happy and excited he hadn't said anything. Thinking back he knew he should have said it the following morning instead of letting so much time pass and their roles continue to switch depending on what they felt like and craved. He should have been more responsible and the guilt was eating away at him. Afraid Bash would think he tricked him by not telling him sooner.

Seeing how the other was avoiding to answer only made him realize more that it has happened. When Taio finally confirmed it he let out his breath which e didn't even noticed he was holding. He stand up ruffling his head and rubbing his neck not knowing what to do. For fuck sakes he was pregnant. With his baby. That was crazy since something like that back home wasn't normal but he couldn't ignore the happy feeling that was also flowing in him. Taio was pregnant and that was changing everything. They couldn't leave. I mean, he couldn't leave with him. He couldn't drag him in a place where male pregnancy was something off limit even for the great minds of medicine. He would be locked up and God knows what test done on him and the baby. He couldn't do that to him. But leaving him here would be even worst. Fuck, how could i forget that??? but i never thought he would be one of those who can get pregnant. As far as i can remember, which is not much obviously as i forgot that pregnancy was possible to men here, he told me that not so many can get pregnant. That's why i never thought he would get. Never put that problem. Jesus fucking christ!! He is pregnant with my baby!!! That shit is crazy!!

"H-How do you know? I mean .... are there any ... symptoms? Are you sure?" he asked turning to look at him, still not believing that he actually got pregnant so quickly. What the hell was he supposed to do now? He couldn't take him home but he couldn't leave him here alone with a child either. This was so fucked up in so many levels that he just didn't know what to do. He had to go home. At least to end things with papers and school and that way he wouldn't have any business there anymore and he could return here and live happilly ever after with him. But now?! What was he going to do now.

"What?" he was surprised to hear the other appologizing for it, "No. That's not wha-...Look" he said sitting back on the edge of the bed taking his hands into his. "I'm no mad or anything else what goes now through your mind its just ... I never ... I never thought that you would be one of the ones that can get pregnant. I never thought about that" he took a deep breath trying to find his words. "But if you really are, then ... it changes everything" he added looking at him appologetically. "There is no way you will come with me home. I will not take that risk with you as in ... i don't want you to end up as an experiment or shit like that. It will be hard to hide a pregnancy, especially at a man" he said rubbing his forehead trying to figure it out. 

"I believe the pregnancy cycle will be 9 months as normal?" he asked hoppping that at least that will be the same as it was for girls. "Cause if that's the same, I can go home alone, end things back there and then come back here. That was my original plan in the first place. I don't want to leave you behind but i don't want to risk your and our baby's life taking you with me" he said hopping the other will understand what he meant. 

[Sathenus]

While it didn't seem that Bash was responding negatively to the news he could tell it was still a big surprise. Suddenly he was asked if he was sure, if he was having any symptoms. "It's still early. So there is a chance that it still won't take or that it's a false pregnancy. Another reason why I didn't want to mention it." Taio admitted knowing that false pregnancies weren't unusual for men of the village. Mother nature allowed men in the village to get pregnant but didn't make the pregnancy easy. Which unfortunately meant a higher rate of miscarriage and false pregnancies. Another reason why he hadn't been sure he wanted to tell Bash yet since he wanted to wait for more prominent symptoms. But Bash had intended for them to leave soon and if he really was pregnant he knew it'd change everything. "I just have early signs right now, scent sensitivity, fatigue and some nausea." He informed the other man. 

Bash sitting beside him again and telling him how he wasn't mad had him sighing at least happy about that. The man expressed that he hadn't expected him to be one of those men who could get pregnant though and that it changed everything. That wasn't what he wanted to hear, his gaze moved to their hands. Bash was saying he couldn't go back with him. While Taio understood this didn't happen where he was from he didn't want it to stop him from going with the man either. That was exactly what the pregnancy was doing though.

"Yeah." Taio confirmed when asked about the length of the pregnancy. It was about nine months, though there had been longer pregnancies. Hang the man he loved day he would go back, end things back there and then come back here oddly didn't make him happy. "I hate to think you're giving up so much just because of me. If I had said something we could have avoided it." Taio told the other man. Bash had a life back in his world, friends and he was sure he had family. Taio hated the idea of Bash giving all that up because of him. "It's not fair for you to give up so much when I'm not sacrificing anything." He added eyes meeting Bash's again. The only thing he was sacrificing was not being able to see the world away from the village. Something he had really been excited to do.

"What about your family? Friends? You're really willing to give them up?" He asked. These were sacrifices he didn't feel Bash should have to give up. It wasn't fair for him to give up so much worried that while Bash was willing to do these things now that he'd resent it later. Starting a family especially like this was very different and he had a feeling that Bash would never think it safe for them to go to his world. "Maybe... What if you went back? I'll stay here until the baby is born and then you can come back and we'll leave as a family." Taio suggested. Sure he couldn't go back to Bash's world pregnant but he wouldn't be pregnant forever. "Maybe we could... alternate? Between living in your world and living here?" He asked really not wanting Bash to just throw his old life away for him and their child.

"Maybe. I don't know. But is not like that. Is not like i'm giving up" he said in regard of the others worries of him leaving his word behind. He was trying to figure it out. If he was able to find a way to go and come back then it will be easy to travell back and forth like that and it would make it easy to visit them. 

As Taio was explaining some simptomes he just nodded. He didn;t know how this male pregnancy was in comparison with the ones from females. He knew some simptomes but at the moment they weren't happening to him. But again, it was a possibility that they could be different from one another. Jesus it was so complicated. 

Hearing Taio explaining a way for being together on both worlds after the pregnancy put a smile on his face. That was an idea. A hope of them travelling home together and with the baby. He could find an excuse about it. Saying it was his and that Taio was a babysitter. That could work. There were a bunch of ideas on that. 

"That could work actually" he said looking at him thinking more and more about it. "But for now, you need to be careful with this and if you need anything let me know. At least the time that i am still here i can be there for you, okay?" he added lifting his chin and caresing his cheek. "We're in this together"
