Tiernan nodded as he listenwd to Hal. They had time to get to know each other whereas he and Yukie had just known each other for three days. Not that Tiernan had any problem with it. He knew he’s falling in love with Yukie by the seconds so his mind was all set. “I want to start a family with Yukie,” he confessed. “But we had only been together for a short time. I wanted for Yukie to adjust me being in his life. Then again, he’s a sure thing in my life, so if he’s ready for a family, then I am too.” Tiernan took his mate’s paw and kissed the back of it.

“Ah!” Yukie replied surprised as he choked on his water a little surprise on his face. “Really!” Yukie asked his eyes shining as he looked at Tiernan. “I mean this is so sudden” Yukie whispered almost in shock as he smiled so brightly clearly happy about tiernans confession. “I-I want to be with you too and start a family.” Yukie admitted as he went back to eating his salad ignoring his friends laughter at how cute the two where.

Tiernan rubbed Yukie’s back when he choked on his water. He kept his hand there while Yukie continued eating. “Yes. I know its rather soon, but babies won’t appear overnight. We’d be able to prepare ourselves for about nine months. So that should bemore than enough,” he smiled at his mate’s eagerness. “My parents would prefer the wedding first before the baby, but we’re going to do it anyway, so it doesn’t matter.”

“I wouldn’t mind getting married.” Yukie admitted with a blush as he continued eating only to finish his food a few minutes later. “Yue would love to help plan out the wedding” Yukie added with a chuckle. “Not to mention I think I would look dashing in a suit” Yukie teased excited to spend his life with Tiernan and raise kids together. Sipping his water he checked his phone at the time noticing the book signing was getting closer. “We should start to get ready for the book signing.” Yukie admitted with a sigh wishing he could visit with his friend longer.

“I think you would look dashing in anything.” Tiernan complimented his mate. Tiernan peeked into the bookstore connected to the cafe. It looked like the management had set the place for Yukie. “Wont you two come look around while we set up? Yukie could use some people to talk to,” he offered Yukie’s friend and his mate.

“We would love to but we need to get going. We are going to visit my parents!” Raven replied with a happy smile as he reached into his diaper bag and pulled out a book and fountain pen with a smirk. “Mind if I get the first signature for the new book?” Raven asked as Yukie blushed and nodded gently taking the book and opened it to the first page. Taking his time he carefully signed the page with beautiful handwriting. Smiling a little he sat for a minute as he sketched into the book Raven, Sophie, and Hal in a breathtaking accuracy. Waiting a few minutes and blowing on the page he waited for the ink to fully dry before handing the book back.

"I should take your numbers," Tiernan said to Hal. He should get to know Yukie's friends for future references. Since Raven and Hal were married, that would come in handy. He exchanged his number with Hal and programmed it in his phone. Before Raven and Hal turned to leave, Tiernan pinched Sophie's chubby cheeks lightly and smiled. "See you around," he told them before turning to his mate. "Well, looks like we've made up our minds about children, so let's get this book signing over with so we could start making babies next." He winked at his mate.

“Mmh you’ll have to romance me first” Yukie teased with a smirk playing hard to get. Walking over to the table he looked over his supplies and pens. Settling into a chair he sighed and fixed himself up before changing into his first form and wearing the clothes he was wearing he looked absolutely stunning. Running his fingers through his long hair he carefully pulled it up into a messy bun to keep it out of the way and his eyes. Surprisingly the patches of scales had gone away making his skin look rather beautiful under the soft lights.

Tiernan watched as his mate shifted into his another form without warning. "Geez, warm a man, will ya?" He muttered, trying to adjust his hard on as discreetly as possible. Yukie in his almost full-human form was beautiful, it made Tiernan remembered their coupling the night before. Going to bed together again wouldn't be a problem at all. Now Tiernan just had to make sure he won't pop a boner during the book signing or the people who come to meet Yukie will get an eyeful.

“Sorry I tend to stick to a more human form sometimes. It makes it easier for me to relax.” Yukie replied with a blush as he looked at Tiernan his body sitting rather still. “To be honest when I get really nervous I tend to stay in other forms it’s kinda a coping mechanism for me but, I’ve been doing better keeping my real form.” Yukie admitted as he looked down at his hands having so many deep issues of what he was over the years he couldn’t bear to stay in his normal body for long due to hating how he looked and who he was. In his mind if he changed into something that wasn’t him he wouldn’t be such a monster and could actually look at himself. Tucking a hair behind his pointy ear Yukie waited nervously for the event to start not sure how well it would go since he hadn’t done a signing since the last creep had followed human him home, and had confirmed his normal form was bad.

"Don't worry about it, I love any way you look," he said then leaned closer. "I'll show you how much I like the way you look tonight," he whispered seductively and blew his breath to tickle Yukie's ear. Not fair that he was the only one who had a hard on. Yukie was sitting and hidden by the table, so he'd be obscured from people's view. 

Tiernan walked to meet the bookstore owner and shook her hands. He introduced himself as Yukie's new agent as well as his significant other. The bookstore owner was happy to hear the news and congratulated him. "Yukie is still shy, but we hope the book signing today will go well. Looks like people have started queuing." He looked at the line of people outside. The bookstore owner said she had a couple of securities just in case it goes a little more exciting, but everything looked to be under control so Tiernan went back to stand by Yukie's side.

“Have you ever read any of my books?” Yukie asked Tiernan softly as the line started. Turning his attention to his guests he smiled cutely almost making a couple of woman faint. Taking the books he chatted happily glad his graphic romance novels where quite popular and continued to sign away. As the signing continued Yukie continued to work his charm making all of his guests happy and with some he accepted the cute gifts they had prepared for him.  Setting them under the table Yukie continued his work until it was time for his fifteen minute break to give his hands a chance to rest.

Tiernan blushed guiltily. "One so far...the children book." He admitted. He just gotten into this job a few days. He had intended to check more of Yukie's works but he just hadn't had the chance. But the Children's book caught his eyes. The colors in there was beautiful. If Tiernan was a kid himself, he would keep one of Yukie's books as his favourite. 

He watched as Yukie mingled around with his fans. He seemed natural and in his element when he was with them. Tiernan adored this Yukie too. He seemed confident in his own skin. He went to get some refreshment for his mate during the break. "Sip some juice and eat some snacks. You'd need the energy," he put the items in front of Yukie.

“Two hours down two more to go!” Yukie replied with a small smile glad for the snack and drink. Sipping the drink Yukie relaxed away from his fans. “So what do you think so far about your first day?” Yukie asked with a smile hoping his mate was having fun. “I think this turnout was better then the first one.” Yukie added as he ate his snack enjoying the sweets. Relaxing beside Tiernan Yukie was glad he could be by his side at this event.

"Technically, this is my third day." Tiernan grinned. "But as far as a book signing go, this is a good first experience. I get to see my sweet mate at work and actually enjoying it. I'm hoping the next two hours will go by quickly so I can take you home to bed," he whispered the last part. "But before that I will put some big dinner into you because you will need all the energy we are going to burn all night long." He finished with a sultry wink. He wanted to be with Yukie and if his mate were ready, it would be the night Yukie will be conceiving Tiernan's child.

“Fine with me but I want a thick well cooked steak with salad and potatoes” Yukie replied adding his agreement to Tiernan’s plan. Kissing his cheek he went back to the table and continued signing happy to meet the new people and have some small talk with them. Toward the end Yukie had just a handful left and was happily greeting a man who was wearing a thicker coat inside. Looking up Yukie smiled and got up holding out the book to the man for him to take only to freeze at the cold steel barrel pressed against his head as the man mentioned for him to be quiet with a sly finger going to his lips.

Tiernan didn't notice the guy who approached Yukie until the very last minute. He pulled out his gun and aimed it at the man. "Drop it," he warned, voice tight with warning. The people in line were shouting and screaming but the bookstore owner quickly guided them outside. "You dare to move even one bit I will blow your head faster than you could pull that trigger." Tiernan warned him. His heart was beating so fast. Despite what he said, he knew it was a big risk when the man had put the gun against his mate's head. Even if Tiernan shot first, there was a chance the guy could accidentally pull the trigger and hurt Yukie.

“...go ahead and do it” Yukie whispered his eyes staring into the mans as he grabbed the gun and held it to his head. The sudden moment  from the demon made the man flinch back nervously as he stared at Tiernan seeing him as his main threat at the moment. “Go ahead. Shoot me. But your options after will be limited. Scary man behind me will rip out your insides while I repair and if he doesn’t I will. We both know your not paid enough to do this, it won’t end well” Yukie whispered his voice calm almost caring. If one could see  his eyes they would find them ice cold as he stared at the man.

”Y-Your...father sends his wishes!” The man suddenly screamed out as he pulled the trigger the gun moving only an inch as it grazed Yukies cheek and burnt him slightly the demon still holding the burning metal tight his eyes murderous at this point.

As soon as the man pulled the trigger, Tiernan released a shot that went through the man's chest. "Call the police and ambulance!" He shouted, going to check on his mate quickly. There was blood and Tiernan almost stopped breating. "Sweetheart, tell me you're okay?" He touched Yukie carefully, not wanting to aggravate the injury. He heard a groan coming from the man Tiernan had shot. He had aimed for the guy's vitals but angled away at the last minute. Killing someone wasn't in his books today. But something bad happened to Yukie, Tiernan will go over the guy and put some more bullets in his brain.

“I’m fine just fine it’s only a small cut” Yukie replied as he looked at Tiernan. With his body calming down and dropping his guard he looked down at the man laying in a too big pool of blood. Looking down Yukie  winced at the sudden realization of pain to his stomach. “You fucker...god he’s getting better men” Yukie hissed taking a deep breath noticing the smaller gun in the mans other hand that was shaking. Taking a a glance at the gun it had been adapted to have a small silencer on it and be lighter and more easily hidden but with a better bullet for damage.
 

Gently touching the bullet wound Yukie winced looking at the blood on his fingers. As the blood dripping onto the floor he stood in silence having thought he had caught the worst of the attack but clearly he was mistaken and the assassin had the balls to pull a second gun the moment he was hit by his mate. “I think I should sit down wanna get me a chair while we wait?” Yukie asked Tiernan holding the wound gently but keeping a tight hold on it so extra blood didn’t spill out since it wouldn’t do any favors for him later.

Tiernan took put a handkerchief and pressed it against the gash on the side of Yukie’s head to stop the blood. From his inspection, the wound wasn’t so bad but since it was a head wound, there was a lot of blood. Tiernan pulled Yukie close to him and picked him up so he could move Yukie out of the danger even when the shooter was down. He took Yukie to one of the seats in the bookstore where people could sit down to read.

”We’re going to get your dad, you hear me? He’s done.” Tiernan promised, his hand was shaking as he held Yukie close. Lucky Yukie was a self-healing demon. If he had been human, he would have lost a part of his face to the gun shot.

“No! You call him he will want x rays and everything!” Yukie replied groaning a little as he held his stomach the pain rather annoying in a sense. “I don’t need them worrying about me.” Yukie added his body already feeling so cold as he curled up into Tiernan’s chest. “Mmh..I’m just tiered and cold...” Yukie mumbled half out of it as he held onto Tiernan his hand shaking slightly in fear. “Can you...hold me closer? I want to be warm” Yukie mumbled his voice soft as he looked up at Tiernan ignoring the chaos behind them his mind only focusing on his mate as he reached up with his free hand that wasn’t holding one wound closed and touched his mates face not liking him so scared. “I’m okay. I promise I’ve had worse more fatal wounds. Technically I can’t die. Some kinda weird twist of fate.” Yukie admitted with a dry laugh his body feeling rather light and dizzy from blood loss but he wasn’t worried his body would heal itself.

"No, not Yune, you silly chinchilla boy. I mean we're going to get revenge with your real good-for-nothing dad. He's done for. No one mess with my mate and get away with it!" Tiernan clenched his teeth, growling his frustration. Even though Tiernan was out of the military, he knew some big shots in there. They could put in some words and make Yukie's dad suffer a little in prison. Tiernan pulled Yukie close and held him hard. He was so scared he was going lose him. He almost lost him. HIs hands couldn't stop shaking. "No more book signing for you in a while. I'm going to make adjustments. Bodyguards, bodychecking all visitors and all that," he said seriously. He wasn't going to risk Yukie's life again, demon or not.

“I’m fine I’ve had worse.” Yukie replied with a small sigh as he snuggled into his mate. Shivering again he closed his eyes his body cold and tiered. “Not much you can do to him in jail. Besides if you fuck with him it ends the game and I won’t get more information on what I am.” Yukie stated knowing this game had been going on since they first talked when Yukie had gotten away from Yue and Yune and made his way back to his father despite his injuries. “On second though...I think we will need to call Yune...I’ll need blood and it’s got to be cleared by him. Plus someone’s got to clean up this mess” Yukie mumbled his voice becoming more slurred as he started to black out.

“Dammit!” Tiernan cursed. He didn’t like any bit of what Yukie was saying. “I’ll call Connor to sort things out here. Then I get Yune to get the blood. I’m guessing he won’t be happy.” Tiernan sighed. He heard the commotion and noticed the police was there. “I have to go talk to them. Come here, I don’t want you away from my side.” He pulled Yukie close to him while Tiernan talked to one of the policemen and gave his statement. “I need someone to look at my parner’s injury. It’s not too bad but he needs a little patching up.” Tiernan told the police. Another of the officer had apprehanded the hitman Yukie’s biological father had sicced in him. Looked like he was going to be fine.
