“Mmh yeah it would be best” Yukie replied as he followed Tiernan only to be instantly snuggled by Raven who was rather excited. “Is it true! Are you really pregnant?” Raven asked the rumor spreading around like wildfire from the grouchy old man.

”Tiernan?” Yukie asked a little worried their secret had gotten out and the media started watching in a slight frenzy.

Tiernan had to do something before they were swarmed by the media sharks, so Tiernan scooped Yukie up into his arms and turned to Raven. “Come by our house in the morning. We can have a long chat. Yukie needs his rest tonight so we gotta go,” he said and made a quick exit. Thankfully Raven and Hal was on their side because the couple had stopped some people from following them.
 

Once outside, Tiernan whistled for the car and the chauffeur who drove them earlier parked and opened the door. “Take us to the nearest hotel please,” he told the chauffeur and helped Yukie inside.

“Fucking bastard! And to think I went easy on him this year.” Yukie mumbled with a angry punch to the seat. “Dammit!” Yukie hissed angry about the whole world finding out their secret so soon. Taking afew breaths Yukie tried to calm down his eyes more demonic then normal and glowing a deep bloodthirsty red as he buried his face in his hands.

Tiernan took Yukie’s hand and grasped it tightly. “Hey, it’s fine. It doesn’t matter if they know, we’ll get him next time,” he said, trying to placate his emotional mate. “So what of they found out. Well, my parents would be a little pissed off they find out this way, but we can turn this to our advantage. Think of the message we’d be able to show the public. Pure demons and a human can be together. We’ll show them how good of a parents we could be and your grandfathet would hate that.” In the back of Tiernan mind, he already arranged to get in touch with some of his military contacts. He needed to be prepared to be up against people like the old man.

“There is going to be backlash...demon hunters and a few demons who don’t like mixing.” Yukie whispered calming down a little as he held Tiernan’s hand close his heart beating fast. “I’m terrified...this is something I don’t know how to travel” Yukie mumbled tears falling quickly down his face as his hormones got the best of him.

All Tiernan could do was pull his mate closer and hold him tight. He knew they wouldn’t be able to please everyone, but he disn’t care for the selected few. He only cared about those that matter, meaning his mate and his children. “We’ll get through this. No one is going to hurt us, I won’t allow it.” He vowed. The chauffeur dropped them at a hotel and Tiernan helped Yukie out of the car and headed for the registration counter to get them a room.

Following Tiernan Yukie was trying his best to keep his emotions together. Due to his raging hormones he was a hot mess. Getting their keycard Yukie followed Tiernan up to their room and once inside and the door was shut he went over to the bed crawling in. The room...well it wasn’t home. Despite the different smell mostly the lack of his mates scent it was better then driving all the way home to the chance of a frenzy of media waiting for them.

Once ensconced in their hotel room, Tiernan took off the cape and jacket that was oart of the suit he was wearing for the party that night. He went over to Yuki and helped him be rid of his as well. Done with that, Tiernan crawled up behind Yukie and spooned him from behind. “It will be alright,” he promised, kissing the back of Yukie’s head. He wrapped his arms around his mate, hands met on the bump where their babies were nestled in. “I’ll order room service. You need to eat. Do you think you can eat something right now?”

“I’m not hungry” Yukie mumbled his hormones sending a small flash of morning sickness deep in the pits of his stomach. “I just want to lay here with you for a bit then take a hot bath.” Yukie whispered turning around to snuggle deep into his mates safe arms. Taking a deep breath Yukie for a rare moment hid away from the world as hot tears graced his cheeks. Letting them fall Yukie just laughed a little. “Who knew not eating would make me so damn emotional” Yukie added his voice breaking as he just cried happily while wiping his eyes his poor hormones attacking his sanity.

Tiernan adjusted the pillows on the bed so he could leaned against them and drew Yukie closer to him, carefully tucking his mate’s head under his chin, careful not to be poked by the antlers. “I’m going to call the room service anyway, because I don’t want you to go to bed hungry. I’ll order dessert as well,” he said, stroking his mate’s hair and belly. “And after we take a bath, eat and I tuck you in bed, I need to make a few phone calls. It’s time I join your battle as well.”

“I don’t want a war Tiernan. I-I just want to stay by your side” Yukie whispered clinging all the more to his mate. Deep inside Yukie was worried his mate would leave him. It was a little scary now with the paparazzi and the world knowing everything well, he was worried it would be to much for Tiernan and he would slip away from him and not look back. While a part of Yukie knew this was a deeply stupid fear...he couldn’t help but worry about that there could be a sliver of a chance it could happen. “I want to soak now...alone for just a moment” Yukie whispered breaking out of Tiernan’s arms as he carefully pushed his mate away and went off to the bathroom to run the bath and take a moment to calm himself.

“I just want to be prepared. This is our future we’re talking about.” Tiernan justified himself. It saddened him that Yukie pushed him away and went to seclude himself in the bath. He sat at the edge of the bed, head in his hands, his fingers pulled at his hair if frustration. He took a minute to compose himself before he picked up the hotel phone and ordered some food from the room service. 

“Good evening sir, I hope I’m not bothering you so late at night,” Tiernan said to the person over the phone. He had used his mobile phone to call his military connection. Despite what Yukie had said, Tiernan needed some people he could trust on board his team. He may not be the highest in rank, but he was a good soldier and people owed him favours. It was time he claim those favours. He had a mate and children to think about.

Soaking in the hot water Yukie tried to calm his nerves and well, in all honesty what did he think would happen? Eventually everyone would have known enemies and friends alike. And while Yukie had shunned away from the media side of his popularity he did always step up when it came to trying to change things. Hell back when he was younger he and his brothers where considered pets to humans. It wasn’t until his fighting recently against it that he had almost got the stigma removed.

Granted some people still saw them as shiny accessories and well it made Yukie just a touch glad other demons ended up adopting instead of passing on the demon traits. But...because of this he was worried how his children would be in the world he grew up in would they be seen as he was or more like Tiernan? Closing his eyes Yukie sighed a little troubled by the stressful road ahead of them.

Done talking to the Sergeant Major, Tiernan was slightly relieved to hear that the other man was on board with his plans. He needed to meet them in person to iron out things but for now, he was promosed with backups. Tiernan put his phone aside and walked into the bathroom so he could check on his mate. He knocked on the door, then opened it slightly so he could peek inside but stayed behind the door. “How are you feeling?” He asked warily.

“Mildly panicking. Thinking of living back in the mountains as a wolf” Yukie mumbled his body covering itself in tons of opal scales. Looking at Tiernan his ears had changed into small fins and his body was starting to change into a merman. “I’m scared. For their future. How do I let them out in a world that was so cold and hurtful to me?” Yukie asked not even noticing that in his despair his body had fully changed and his tail was swaying under the water.

(Yukies coloration and fins that imagine have more flair and are beta like. But he can have spikes (spikes are toxic) like the second picture when aggressive.)

Tiernan entered the bathroom and was stunned at Yukie's transformation. He had seen the opal scales before but he didn't know it was part of another form. This made Yukie's fifth form that he had seen. "Yukie, honey." Tiernan gasped and knelt down beside the bathtub. He reached for Yukie's face and stroke his skin gently. "Your form...you're a merman." He whispered, feeling the situation was delicate between them. He didn't want Yukie to spooked out with his sudden body changes.

“Mmh?” Yukie replied confused as he looked down at his body a little pulling his face out of his mates hands as he looked at the fish tale relaxing in the warm water. “...ewwww...” Yukie whispered wondering if he would smell like the fish in the markets by the ocean. “I don’t want to smell like a fish” Yukie replied his mood shifting at the strange change as he poked at the scales and delicate fins. “Wait....will I even fit in your sink?” Yukie asked not sure if his mate had a space for him to soak.

Tiernan chuckled and splashed the water at Yukie. He was relieved that his mate's mood shifted to a lighter one. "You've been soaking in my bath tub, you know you'll fit. And you're tiny, so don't make it sound like I live in a Hobbit hole." Tiernan berated Yukie, although jokingly. He sat down on the floor by the tub, lacing his hands on the edge and stared at Yukie. "You're so beautiful," he sighed, admiring the new form his mate had taken. "In all forms, you're beautiful. How can people not see that?" He asked, more to himself than to Yukie.

“People tend to fear things they can’t understand” Yukie replied with a small sigh as he blushed a little at his mates words about his beauty. Reaching out his hand he took Tiernan’s softly and pulling it under the water let him touch the scales. Leading his hand to his stomach he smiled a little while pressing lightly onto his stomach feeling a tiny perfect foot stretch out and push back. “They like your touch” Yukie whispered enjoying this moment with Tiernan.

"People are idiots," Tiernan grumbled. He was happy touching Yukie, especially the small bump where he could feel his children growing. "I love touching them too," He said happily. Tiernan got up and undressed. He threw his clothes on the bathroom floor and told Yukie to scoot a little so he could get into the bathtub with him. He nestled behind his mate, arms wrapped around Yukie's scaly body and gentle fins. "Good thing our new home has a big swimming pool, huh," he said, kissing Yukie's exposed shoulder. "You can spend time swimming whenever you like."

“I don’t think I would survive well in the winter. It would be way to cold for me” Yukie replied his face reddening as he looked at Julius who was naked beside him. Turning away shyly Yukie tried to focus on anything else to keep his mind sane. “You already found a place?” Yukie asked curiously wondering where Tiernan found all the time to do such things. “Did you look at it? The house?” Yukie asked.

"You keep forgetting," Tiernan chuckled. "Weren't you the one who showed me the picture of that house the first day we meet? I already ask COnnor to get it done, so all we have to do is move in. But first, we need to start packing. Tomorrow. Maybe we could get Hal and Raven to pack." Tiernan wondered if the couple was coming in on the morning. He had told them to come, but if the paparazzi was going to crowd their home, it might be a little difficult. "I better get dressed. The room service will arrive soon." He kissed Yukie's neck and got out from the bath tub. Instead of going for the towel, Tiernan grabbed the fluffy bathrobe and wrapped it around himself. "Can you change your legs back? Otherwise I'll carry you to the bed." He looked at Yukie's mer-form.

“Mmh if I change back I can’t stay in the warm water” Yukie replied not wanting to get out of the bath. “I didn’t want to eat anyway so you go ahead” Yukie added sinking more into the water as he disappeared under the warm liquid. Settling down Yukies gills kicked in letting him breathe rather easily in the tub.

"No. You have to eat something," Tiernan said rather grimly. You're pregnant, not with one, but three so I won't tolerate you not eating after the night we had been through." He insisted and left the bathroom so he could wait for the room service to come. About five minutes later, the food was delivered and Tiernan tipped the bellboy. He had ordered a club sandwich for himself and mushroom risotto for Yukie. He also ordered chocolate pudding for dessert. He put the food aside then went to check on Yukie in the bathroom. "Either you get out of the tub yourself and eat or I will carry you out and feed you," he said, not exactly in a warning tone, but not too light either.

“No.” Yukie replied being stubborn as he rolled on his side and ignored Tiernan. This behavior while new to Tiernan was all to common to Yue and Yuen. With first form changes there was a two week bitchy period where Yukie was non compliant with anyone. “I don’t feel like getting out I want to stay here” Yukie added with a huff his eyes glaring at Tiernan as if daring him to challenge his desires
