Tiernan looked at Yukie and huffed. He walked in big strides, pulled out the plug from the bathtub and let the water drain. "You're not going to pull a bitch 'tude with me. I'm your mate, you're carrying my babies so you damn well need to eat even if I have to tie you up and feed you," he said, grabbing a towel from below the sink and wrapped it around Yukie and lifted him up from the bathtub. "I am tired and I'm upset that you're upset and I fuckin' want to cuddle with my mate on the bed, so no, I'm not leaving you to sulk in your hot water when I'm out here dreading our future!" Tiernan went off, for the first time channeling his frustration to Yukie.

“Well you don’t have to be my mate!” Yukie snapped back wiggling in Tiernan’s arms his spikes stabbing through the towel as he tried to get away from Tiernan’s hold. “I didn’t ask you to baby me or worry about me or our future! Your- just because we fucked and we became mates doesn’t mean you can control me!” Yukie added pushing Tiernan away as he stood five feet away his body shivering. His own words slicing at his skin and heart  hurting himself also...the feeling of having so many things changing was terrifying. Taking a breath Yukie covered his eyes just shaking his body at it breaking point and while it was no excuse for how he was acting it was only natural for Yukie to break down and lash back at Tiernan when feeling backed into a corner.

 

“I want space...I don’t want to be touched or held I just want to be alone....today’s been suffocating. I feel like I’m trapped and everything’s changing.” Yukie whispered as the room started to grow colder and the shadows around him took on a more Sinister look. Swaying a little while he stood Yukie stumbled to his knees his body breaking out in feathers while two black wings the size of Tiernan came out causing Yukie to just scream in anger and frustration his body having a complete mental breakdown at the change. “I want to go...I don’t want to stay here....” Yukie whispered his voice trembling as he broke down crying his mind only seeing how much he was trapped by those around him despite it not being true. Curling up Yukie hid under the thick feathers hiding away from everyone and everything as if it would make his problems go away.

"Fine," Tiernan said, his voice choking. They were both under a lot of stress but Yukie's words hurt him so much. "You want your space, you have it." Tiernan went back into the bathroom, hastily put on his crumpled clothes and grabbed his phone and wallet. The jacket was a nuisance with all the buttons and tassels, so Tiernan didn't bother with it and headed to the door. He stopped when he had opened it only a couple of inches, but didn't look at Yukie. "When you finally need your mate, one who worries about you, protects you, cares for you, loves you, you let me know," He said and got out from the room. 

Tiernan took the elevator to the lobby and headed outside. Some of the night staff greeted him asking if he needed assistance, but Tiernan ignored them. Once he was outside, he blew out a breath and a few tears escaped his eyes. It hurt him to leave Yukie in bad terms but if he stayed, they would fight and he didn't want to stress his mate more than he already was. Tiernan ignored the cold and walked down the streets. He could use a little walk before going back. But when he was passing an alley, suddenly he was grabbed and dragged into the darkness. Too many hands were on him at the same time, he sensed four people, maybe five. Normally Tiernan could handle them, but he was taken by surprise and three people were holding him down while the others bashed him. "Fuck!" he gasped when a hard boot connected to his sides. All he could do was roll over and protect his head and wished that the last thing Yukie remember about was not him walking out the door.

Yukie flinched at the door shutting and hearing Tiernan’s footsteps walk away only made him break down crying more. Moving to lay on the floor he just curled up and cried for a few minutes before getting up and going to the window only to watch Tiernan walk out of the hotel and away. It hurt the feelings of his mate leaving his side burning and ripping Yukies insides apart. Trying to get ahold of some of his emotions to think more clearly Yukie opened ( only a inch wide since most hotel windows only allow that) window to yell out at Tiernan to come back only to stop and watch as a man pulled him aside. Frowning Yukie watched confused and seeing him disappear sent him into a state of panic next thing he knew he was standing outside his arms blooded as he stood looking at the men. 
 

Standing a couple of feet away it was as if Yukies mind snapped back to his feral state and within second he had grabbed a male and had his fangs ripping into the males flesh. Tasting the hot fresh blood brought back so many memories to Yukies mind. The feeling of consuming such a forbidden drink....well it drove Yukie mad. Throwing the body to the side it hit the wall with a sickening thud. Snarling Yukie looked at the others his eyes hungry for more. Within minutes he had finished off another male and was ripping into his third his mind only on hunting and killing as many as he could to satisfy his appetite.

Tiernan didn't know how long he blacked out. His whole body ached and there were blood down his face. At least they were no longer beating him, but then when he tried to focus, he head sounds of people fighting, footsteps retreating and bones crunching. Tiernan wiped the blood that got into his eyes and tried to make out what was happening in front of him. In a blur, he saw a demonic figure, biting and tearing his attackers apart. When they finally made eye-contact, Tiernan finally recognized the figure. "Yu..kie?" He uttered difficultly, his throat were too bruised to call out his mates name. Tiernan got up on his feet, took a couple of steps towards his mates and fell down to the ground once again, and this time, everything went black.

Yukie looking at Tiernan hissed only to stop at the sigh of his mate. Stepping back Yukie quickly moved forward and grabbing his mates phone used the emergency button to call for an ambulance. Five minutes later one arrive and well...so did the chief. Looking at the mess and a bloodied demon he sighed and had the ambulance take Tiernan to the hospital while contacting Adrian (I think I’m right on the name?) to come down and stay with Tiernan. Looking over Yukie he went back to his car and grabbed a blanket hand it to the demon he also grabbed a leather muzzle (much like a dog one) for the demon not wanting to risk being torn apart like the men scattered at his feet. “Do you need any medical attention?” The chief asked carefully placing the cuffs on Yukies wrists as he led him back to the car.

”no...but I need you to call Yuen...” Yukie whispered his voice so quiet as he was shut in the back seat. Driving them off down the road away from Tiernan Yukie sat quietly in the back seat terrified out of his mind. A few hours later they arrived at the demon facility and within 20 minutes Yukie was booked in and transferred to his room the padded room stuffed with pillows and blankets for him to nest in while he waited for Yuen to come and set up his medical needs and check on the babies in place of his mate.

In the blackness, Tiernan kept calling for his mate. He felt like Yukie was being taken away from him but he wasn't able to stop it. He needed to be with his mate, needed to hold him close and tell him he loved him but his voice won't come out and his body wouldn't move. "Tiernan! Tiernan!" The voice calling his name jerked him out of his unconsciousness. When he came to, Tiernan heard beeping sounds and the smell of a sterile hospital. "Thank goodness you're awake, what  happened?" Instead on Yukie, it was Aidan by his side. Tiernan struggled to sit up with all the wires around him. 

"Yukie, where's Yukie?" He said, alarmed that his mate was not around. Aidan only looked at him sadly and shook his head. Tirnan's heart pounded. He needed to get to his mate. He pulled the needle that connected him to the IV drip and unhooked any other wires latched to his body.

"No, Tiernan. You can't go. You have a concussion." His brother tried to stop him.

"My mate needs me! He's pregnant Aidan. He's scared, he's stressed, he's sad....I don't know if he hates me but I need to be with him, I love him." Tiernan choked. He looked at his younger brother pleadingly. "Please, get Connor, I need to go to my mate." He begged. He was so close to lose it right then and there.

Aidan nodded and called for his husband. He was sending their baby to one of the McCabe's brothers' house so they can look after him and was on his way to the hospital as fast as he could. Aidan had found out from the chief where Yukie was taken and with Connor and Tiernan's connection, they could get to him, although with some resistance.

“don’t worry. Yuen went to go check on him. We got the call he had been moved to a facility until the investigation is over.” Yue explained as she stood outside of the hospital doorway looking at Tiernan. “I’ve asked him to call when he can so don’t rush. You’ll make Yukie worry and right now you need to be calm and collected...” Yue added with a small saddened smile.

“Your in a lot of trouble being sent here” Yuen explained to Yukie as the demon sat on a medical table his mouth still muzzled against Yuens wishes. “You killed three men and the third had to be taken to a hospital” Yuen added carefully removing the glass from his sons arm. Continuing his work he took blood samples and checked on the triplets sighing happily at the sight of them all happy and healthy. “You haven’t been taking your medicine...the doctors or people here are wanting you chained so I’m going to help you..... and with your condition I have to be very careful to give you a lower dose.” Yuen mumbled talking to himself as he carefully sedated Yukie so he wouldn’t fight getting locked up. He knew Yukie was still in such a feral state he wouldn’t even recognize Yuen at this point let alone that he shouldn’t hurt the workers. “Your going to be here awhile...so be good. I know you can’t understand who I am but don’t do anything stupid and just sleep” Yuen mumbled annoyed Yukie was back in one of his grandfathers facilities that where built to house unruly demons this of course being nothing like Yukies “fathers” facility. Finishing his work Yuen watched as Yukie was taken back to his new cell. After being chained and security procedures where in place Yukie finally laid down to sleep his body tiered and full.

When Connor arrived, Tiernan asked to be discharged from the hospital. The doctor gave his permission since there were people who could keep an eye on him. He told them to bring Tiernan to the hospital immediately if he starts vomiting or having a headache. The discharge already costed him more than an hour, so as soon as he was done, Tiernan asked to be brought to where Yukie was.

"Calm down, he's under care now. Yuen is with him." Connor tried to help Tiernan relax. They took Yue with them in case Yukie needed her later. 

"I won't calm down until I see my mate!" Tiernan said in frustration. "I left him in that room, Con, and for some reason he found me and kill people. It's my fault. He's pregnant. His hormones are unstable and I left him. How much of an idiot does that make me?" He wanted to be with his mate immediately. He was scared Yukie would be taken for him. he will do anything it took to get Yukie out of the place. They can't treat Yukie like a monster. Yukie was not a monster. Those guys attacked him first and that many people...Tiernan wondered who sent them. This was all a conspiracy.

“He’s going to be there for awhile darling he consumed actual human blood. Hell he murdered three people!” Yue explained with a saddened voice. “He was sent there once for a weekend for biting the chief. I don’t know how long he will be there or what the law is going to do. From what I gathered the male he left alive but bit is screaming in pain” Yue added not knowing that the man had taken Yukies venom.

"I don't care, he wasn't in the wrong. He was protecting me," Tiernan rebutted. Someone sent those men after them, Tiernan was sure. He didn't know how he was sure, but his instincts were never wrong. "Yukie will know me. I need to be there," Tiernan said adamantly. When they arrived at the facility, Aidan had to help him walking inside. There were a lot of fuss when they requested for entry, but Connor had arranged for their access earlier, so after a few minutes, they were allowed in. "Yue, do you think you can get Yuen and ask him to take me to where Yukie is?" Tiernan asked, almost begging. His heart hurt being so far away from his mate. He wanted Yukie in his arms.

He’s already waiting for you past the doors. I messaged him in the car” Yue added as Yuen waved and let Tiernan in. Looking at him he winced at the wounds. 
 

“If your actively bleeding you can’t see him. We don’t need him desiring more blood” Yuen explained leading Tiernan to an elevator and ten minutes later they where in a cold concrete basement with one cell containing Yukie who was asleep under a blanket and with a pillow on the floor the demon out cold. “Babies are fine and he’s alright just sedated. Granted I can’t get him more then a blanket and pillow but it’s better then nothing” Yuen mumbled watching the demon wishing he could change the rules. “He’s quite out of it so they won’t let you touch him unless he’s fully awake” Yuen added knowing Yukie would be awake soon. “He will be in here until the murder issue is figured out and he’s burned off the blood in his system. My guess is he wasn’t eating and it lead to this?” Yuen asked wondering why Yukie had snapped.

"I've stopped bleeding, it's fine." Tiernan insisted. When he saw Yukie in the cell, Tiernan slid on his knees and the tears started pouring. He hated that his mate was treated in such inhumane way. "Yukie is not a monster," he said, angry and frustrated that his mate had been taken away from him. "He won't hurt me, let me go inside. I want to take care of him." Tiernan banged on the cell. He wanted to hold his mate in his arms and told him he was sorry for leaving Yukie. "I told him to eat, but he didn't want to. I left him alone. It wasn't even five minutes." he rasped, reaching his hand into the cell trying to touch his sleeping mate. "Please, let me go inside. He won't hurt me."

“I can’t...because I thought the same also.” Yuen whispered gently rubbing Tiernan’s back. “Yukie was angry with me...back when he first came back home he wouldn’t eat or sleep. I pushed him...to hard and well he snapped. He ripped into my side. Took months to heal” Yuen mumbled feeling bad for Tiernan but...well there was only one other option but it was brutal. “There is one option but, it’s not fun for Yukie. We could let you in but if he even growls or hisses at you they will send a shock through his collar.” Yuen explained knowing that’s how he was able to get in to see Yukie and check him over. “He might not even know you” Yuen added trying to be realistic.

“I don’t care if he rip my throat out!” Tiernan almost scream. He needed to touch Yukie, the pain was almost unbearable. “He doesn’t need a collar, he’s not an animal!” Tiernan banged his hand against the metal, ignoring the injury he had sustained earlier. “Please, just let me go in there. He will recognize me. Even if he’s not himself he will know it’s me. I’m his mate.” Tiernan was insistent. He didn’t know for sire Yukie wouldn’t harm him but he believed in Yukie. He had to because everyone else didn’t.

“Alright alright.” Yune sighed as he mentioned to the guards to open the door. Watching the door slide open he stopped Tiernan first. “Give him space at first and a scent. He’s drugged to keep from stressing out the babies and his health” Yuen added as he watched Yukie who only still stayed quietly under the blankets. One of the guards walked down and in gun in hand as he checked on Yukie and backed off noticing his breathing was different then sleep and he was most likely awake. Looking at the guard from under the blanket Yukie let out a low hiss his chinchilla ears flat against his head as he showed off his sharp fangs.

"Get out," Tiernan whispered harshly at the guard and went down as close as possible to Yukie. He laid down next to the blanket, not touching Yukie but placed his hand as close as possible near his face so that Yukie could scent him. He was looking straight into Yukie's feral eyes, not flinching one bit. Be believed his mate will recognize him. It might be confusing at first, and there was the possibility of Yukie hurting him, but he knew his mate won't disappoint him. "Hey, love," he whispered softly. You remember your mate, don't you?" he asked hopefully. His fingertips was close enough for him to touch Yukie's face, but he waited until Yukie familiarize with his scent.

“You smell gross” Yukie mumbled tiredly as he nuzzled into his mates hand his eyes looking so tiered. “Did you get hurt bad?” Yukie asked softly not moving from his spot due to the sedatives he really couldn’t move unless he tried really hard. “I’m sorry for being angry.” Yukie added instantly slipping out of it as he tried so hard to fight off the need to sleep. “I’m sorry...Mmh I’m tiered Yuen...” Yukie mumbled slipping in and out of his feral and normal state unable to focus well.

Tiernan sobbed in relief when Yukie recognized him. "I'm sorry I'm gross, who knows what's in the alley," he tried to joke, but Yukie's drowsiness didn't give him any reply. Tiernan moved closer so he could touch his mate, pushing Yukie's hair away from his face and reached for his hand so he could hold them. "I wan't to stay here with you." He whispered softly. He didn't care if he had to be in a cell with Yukie, as long as they were going to be together. "Go to sleep now, love. I'm not going anywhere, I promise."

“My body feels sick...and tiered” Yukie mumbled as he snuggled into Tiernan despite the hospital smell. Closing his eyes Yukie stayed still before falling asleep allowing Yuen to enter. “Tiernan...you can’t stay with him they won’t allow it. Besides if he’s to get out I need your account of what happened if the court can be swayed he’s not a monster then it would help his case” Yuen added with a small frown not liking the news.

“I’ll do that in the morning.” Tiernan insisted. He didn’t want to leave Yukie alone. “Anyone could see that he’s not a monster, he would never harm me. That’s proof enough.” He held his mate’s hand and kissed it. “He killed those guys because they were hurting me. I don’t know how Yukie found out – I was dragged into an alley. He must have seen it from our hotel room.” Tiernan shook his jead in regret. He should have stayed with Yukie then. It was his fault. “Yukie needs me. He’s stressed because the old man found out about the babies.” Tiernan admitted, knowing Yuen would understand how bad the situation was with the grandfather.

“My hunch is Yukie really set him off and it’s much easier to hunt a demon without a mate to defend him.” Yuen mumbled as he knelt beside Yukie checking his temperature and vitals wanting to make sure he was at least more comfortable. “I can try and find some wiggle room but...it won’t be easy. Most demons use to be killed for drinking human blood hence the blood tablets. Drinking what he did was taboo and I’m trying to find a good reason why he would need the blood to begin with I mean he wasn’t injured from what I could tell.” Yuen added carefully running his hands over Yukies stomach to check on the babies and then leaning down he listened to his chest and lungs desperate to find something wrong with the demon to give him some footing on keeping his son safe. “Anything unusual about him before the attack? Any behavior changes or form issues?” Yuen asked wondering if it was a deeper mental problem.

Tiernan recalled the events of hours ago. "He was tired after talking to the old man, asking me to remove him from the room. Then he played the piano for them. The news about the babies spread, so we left for a hotel. Yukie was upset. When he was in the bath, he changed into another form - a mer. I told him he needed to eat, but he was being difficult about it. We argued, he changed again into something with feathers, then I left." Tiernan relayed his story to Yuen. "I was only going for a walk, so we have some time to clear up the air. Wasn't expecting those people to drag me into the alley and Yukie losing his mind like that."

“Mmh not eating is strange. His appetite should be increasing.” Yuen mumbled as he sat beside the two deep in thought. “Changing forms and not eating is unusual, I honestly think that the stress made him snap. I mean he’s been hit with life changes left and right. From gaining you for work and as a mate to suddenly being pregnant.”

”Not to mention the stress of his grandfather and then the added stress of so many eyes on him. He must feel like he did back at the old facility” Yuen whispered gently petting Yukies head soothingly. “When he came back home...he was like this though at the time we thought it was just readjustment. In reality it was instinct living in the facility with fighting and the hunts Yukie survived off the men he killed that hunted him. He must have thought they where the same and instinctively consumed their blood in hunger.”

 

”If I had a guess he’s off of his routine also and hasn’t been in other forms a lot. It’s got to be putting stress on his body to not adapt as needed” Yuen explained mentioning to the small fluff ball curled up tightly in the blankets. “I can write this off as an accident a mental slip due to moving into a restricted environment. I can claim that he was ill adapting to being back into full society and was defensive like most animals would be with mates and young” Yuen added as he looked at Tiernan. “There’s a chance we can stop this from getting worse...but he needs to stay like this feral and angry at everyone else but you so it proves he’s suffering” Yuen finished with a deepening frown.

"Then can I take him away from everyone and just keep to ourselves?" Tiernan looked up at Yuen with hope. "The house we're moving in is in a private land, far enough from other people. I'll take Yukie there and no one will bother us." He added. They were supposed to be moving into their new house that weekend anyway. "You can come and the chief can come and check him from time to time. We can spread rumours that yukie is locked up somewhere so his grandfather won't come looking for trouble. Please, I don't think keeping Yukie in cells would be good for his mental state especially if it reminds him of what happened back then." Tiernan tried to reason with the doctor. "I have contacted my connections in the Military, they can set up a parameter for us. It would be as secure as any place you thought about keeping Yukie in."
