“Good to know. Security will be down for a few minutes while I deal with the guest.” Star added walking away to go greet the old man. While Yukie was away Star had thrown himself into self defense classes and upped his desire to help Tiernan. Having basically gone through some hard core training he worked alongside the medical specialists to up the amount of doctors for demons, and up the amount of humans that knew how to treat wounds and fight demons. 
 

“Stars been busy I see” Yukie mumbled amused by how energetic the male had become in his absence. “From what I hear he lives with the security guards and is quite the charmer.” Yukie added happy his friend was moving on like he had.

“He’s been bery helpful,” Tiernan said, looking after Star as he walked out. “We talked sometimes about work with the task force, his input are great. We’re getting along professionally well,” he told Yukie of their progress. Star was the go-to person if he wanted to know how Yukie was doing as well. “I think he’s seeing someone. Do you know him?”

“ I know everyone at this point” Yukie replied pulling out his phone that connected to the new demon database. “Mmh he’s three years older works a desk job. Quite cute if I say so myself” Yukie admitted smiling at the picture glad his friend had found a nice mate. “We will have to send them a nice bottle of wine when they do become full mates though” Yukie added indicating to a small box beside the picture that was empty implying that they hadn’t taken that step to become mates. “I was on bed rest for almost two weeks so I had time to mess around and create this for your task force. It’s basic info that’s only allowed between me and my mate to protect the others from hunters.” Yukie explained with a small smile.

"You were on bed rest but you're still working?" Tiernan raised an eyebrow. He wasn't beratig Yukie or anything, but amazed that his mate couldn't stil still even when he needed to. "I can upload that into our system as well, so my technical guy could input all the data of our members in the task force. Everyone has already been vetted, but with your database, we'd be more secured." He added, smiling at his mate. "Who would have thought my sweet chinchilla boy is the big shot now." He teased Yukie. The Yukie now was so different with the one Tiernan met for the first time months ago.

“I run a whole community hell one would call it an empire. There was a reason for my leaving.” Yukie replied with a small chuckle as he moved a little on his chair to get more comfy. “I can do a lot now. Learning about each part of me helped.” Yukie added with a small blush as he reached into his small back pulling out a tablet with the system fully running for Tiernan. “This one is yours comes complete with the program and a couple of my closer contracts. Each demon group is assigned a representative elder that takes problems to me to finalize and approve. I take the stress of the public eye off of every other demon around us and also push for them being represented like father and grandfather wanted...minus the war machine part and destruction” Yukie finished before picking up his cup and taking a sip watching the happy party.

Tiernan took the ipad from Yukie and upload all the infor to the taskforce database. "I would like to avoid war as much as you do. That's why these people wanted to work with you and create a more understanding society. It's time we change people's minds with ideas and unity, not weapons and violence," he added and put the gadget away once it was done what it had to do. "Will you still have time for me, though? For our little family?" Tiernan asked softly. He knew now Yukie don't only belong to him, but to his people and the new community that supported them.

“Oh yeah I’m taking time off to be at home with the kids when they are born and I only work when I feel like it other then that I have other people to look through things for me and summarize.” Yukie explained with a small sigh feeling a touch tiered. “In all honesty I wouldn’t mind taking a shower and going to bed. I’m rather exhausted” Yukie admitted with a small smile hoping his mate would understand.

Tiernan nodded and offered Yukie his hand. "Okay, why don't we say goodbye to our guests then I take you to our bedroom. While you get into that shower, I'll see them all off," Tiernan suggested and helped Yukie up. He knew their family would understand that Yukie had a long journey and needed his rest. They walked to the first group of people and thanked them for coming. "I'll call all of you again once we settled down. I think not just Yukie, even I have to adjust to this place as well. It will be my first night staying here," Tiernan told them. Even though he had moved all their things to the new house, Tiernan had been sleeping at the bunk in his office at the HQ.

“Yes thank you all for the party. But, I do need some rest and a shower” Yukie admitted with a blush as he looked at Yuen who slipped to the side waiting for Yukie. “I’m going to head off with Yuen to have him make sure things are fine before I settle down in bed” Yukie whispered to Tiernan before heading off and going with Yuen to find his room and shower. Once they had slipped away Yukie leaned on Yuen more for support.

”your on strict bed rest!” Yuen scolded Yukie who sighed defeated.

”yeah I know but I couldn’t just ignore everyone. Tiernan was so kind to welcome me home with a party” Yukie explained as Yuen settled him on the toilet and started up a bath letting Yukie undress himself.

”I received all the other doctors notes. From the broken ribs down to bruised organs. Their going to be rather strong” Yuen added as he looked at Yukie and walked over looking at his bruised covered body as a small foot kicked out. “We should talk about a c section. For your safety and health and to ease the stress on the babies. You can’t stretch anymore and they need more room you don’t want them fighting for space. At most you only have weeks until they loose what little elbow room they have” Yuen explained gently inspecting the babies positions and movements.

Tiernan waved the last of the guests goodbye and promised to get in touch with them after they had settled. Yue was still around waiting for Yuen, so Tiernan headed to the bathroom where he heard harsh whispers. "What was that I heard about c-section?" Tiernan pushed the door open. He didn't mean to eavesdrop, but when he heard the word, he knew immediately something must be wrong with Yukie. "Is there something I should know? Are the babies too big for Yukie?' He looked at both the doctor and his mate. Then his eyes were glued to the bruises on Yukie's body. "What the--! What are you not telling me, Yukie?" He demanded.

“The babies are growing to be big. I mean Yukie alone as a child was able to sit up after a week.” Yuen explained as he continued to gently check the children. “At this point I can tell the reason for the last doctor to advise bedrest. Any extreme movement or exercise could cause them stress or an early labor. And with three I’m not sure Yukie could handle it” Yuen added as he looked at Tiernan and mentioned him to come over and feel showing him through Yukies skin just how big the children where. “Keeping in mind that they are demon. They are strong enough to break ribs and bruise organs...if put in a panic...they might rip apart your mate trying to get out and we don’t have a matching blood type for Yukie so he would be regenerating at that point” Yuen mumbled worried about the worst possibilities at this point.

”your worried to much. And it’s rare for demons to rip out it’s only in high risk cases” Yukie replied with a sigh as he stretched a little.

"And you dont see yourself as a high risk case?" Tiernan snapped his head towards Yukie. "I know you're strong Yukie, more than I could even imagine. But you have three demons as powerful as you are. Weren't you the one who said you worked hard to be where you are right now? Putting yourself in high risk was an irresponsible thing for a leader to do," Tiernan said, then walked by Yukie and knelt down. "Please take a few days easy as the doctor suggest. We can put a hold on everything else, we have people we trust to do the work. Just until the babies are born." Tiernan said, almost begging. He then looked at Yuen. "Can Yukie deliver naturally? Would that be more high risk?" He asked, not knowing how Yukie was even going to deliver the kids if not for c-section.

“He can but like I said it would be hard. He can’t change forms as it is because of the babies so if he panicked and changed forms it would be problematic.” Yuen explained with a frown gently massaging Yukies stomach making Yukie instantly relax with a soft glare at Yuen for using such tricks on him. Looking at the two Yukie frowned a little.

”I will be fine. Your both fussing to much over this! I can work easily from bed if needed and as for labor I still have three months! Don’t forget they are half human!” Yukie replied with a soft groan enjoying the relaxing massage.

”I’ll show you how to do this” Yuen mumbled softly to Tiernan so only he could hear as he started showing him with his hands.

Tiernan sigh. His mate was a difficult one. He didn't understand why he liked being in pain so much. Was it because he was used to enduring torture in his younger days. He followed Yuen's instruction and put his hand where Yuen's was before. He could feel the bump, then followed by the movements of the babies, kicking and moving around in Yukie's belly. He was awed by them, but felt very scared for Yukie.

“...Yuen I’m sure Tiernan can properly watch over me so you don’t need to worry any pains or problems you’ll be the first we call” Yukie replied with a small smile just amazed as he watched his mate caress his bump. “Trust me I’ll take it easy and eat well...” Yukie added looking up at Yuen who sighed softly.

”fine...but on your word any uncomfortableness or even a twinge you’ll call me” Yuen asked as Yukie nodded leaving him to sigh and leave the two alone so Yukie could take a bath.

Tiernan thank Yuen and the older man said he would see himself and Yue out. Once the house was empty again, Tiernan looked at his stubborn mate. "I'm not going to ask, because I know you'd say you can do it on your own," he said and turned for the door. "Why don't you start the shower and I go get some clothes for your to wear. That way you'd have some time alone without be all over you. I'll be back after I take all your bags up to our room." Yukie's bags were still in the foyer of their new home. It would only be minutes for Tiernan to go and get them, so Yukie would have a little privacy in the shower until Tiernan got back.

“Oh...Yuen ran me a bath so I could soak. I was hoping you might stay with me....in...it” Yukie replied with a blush as he looked at Tiernan. Looking away almost as stubborn as before Yukie tried his best to get rid of the red in his cheeks. “I don’t mind my mate fussing over me...everyone else is a different story” Yukie muttered a touch embarrassed. “If I let everyone fuss over me I might get some creepy stalkers thinking it’s okay.” Yukie added trying to hide his embarrassment as he carefully got up and tested the temperature of the water for his bath glad to see it had cooled a little.

"You say that now, but later on you'd want me to stop," Tiernan chuckled and closed the door once more. Tiernan could be a little overbearing sometimes especially with an independent mate like Yukie. But he wasn't going to turn down soaking in the tub together when it had been months since they spent any time in each other's presence. Tiernan took his shirt off before undoing his belt and got rid of his trousers as well. "The bathtub here is much bigger than the one at the old house. More space for us," he said, getting into the water and offered his hand to Yukie to help him in.

“Don’t let me slip” Yukie whispered a little afraid as he carefully got in the water going to his chin in such a deep tub. “I think I’m a touch short” Yukie admitted as he moved over to where Tiernan was and settled into his lap the water lowering to the top of his chest. “I missed you.” Yukie replied as he looked up at Tiernan enjoying spending this close space with his mate.

“You know I’ll keep you safe,” Tiernan responded to Yukie’s request and they settled down together in the big tub. He wrapped his arms around Yukie’s shoulders and kissed the back of his head. “I like short guys, so lucky me. Seems like it was ages ago since I got to hold you like this. I’m glad you missed me too.” Tiernan said earnestly. He hadn’t had any time soaking in a tub since Yukie went away. “How was your travel? Did you get to soak in bathtubs while you were away?” Tiernan wondered how did Yukie live during his travels

Rolling his eyes Yukie settled down only to turn and look at Tiernan at the short comment. “I’m not short...if I wear heels I can be a little taller” Yukie replied enjoying the soak alongside his mate as he stuck out his tongue playfully to tease his lover. “My travel was interesting I met a lot of humans and demons but mostly demons. I learned how they lived alongside the humans better it was a good experience. As for baths I only got to take them if I lucked out on a house with a bath or there was a hot springs nearby” Yukie explained as he stretched out a little enjoying the heat. “I lived with the elders and they taught me how to be more of a demon and how to rule fairly and correctly...it was a lot to learn” Yukie admitted with a smile.

"I love you the same, in heels or otherwise." Tiernan tapped Yukie's nose affectionately. "Looks like we both have a lot to learn. Although I am in charge of this task force, I still have to answer to the higher ups. I need to be fair to my subordinates as well. They wanted to learn more about demons, and want to live alongside them as much as you do. The old man did made contacts a fe wtime, trying to turn us against our cause, but everyone had been loyal and knew the kind of world they would prefer to live in, and that's not the one your grandfather had proposed." Tiernan told Yukie. "We had some visits from your demon associates as well, and I'm happy to say, some of them had found mates in the task force. How cool is that?" Tiernan smiled amusedly.

“That’s wonderful! It’s always a great thing when they become mates” Yukie replied with a smile.  Resting more against his mate Yukie let out a soft yawn. “I’m glad to be home. While my travels and trip was exciting and nice...nothing beats being home even if it doesn’t smell like home” Yukie admitted before looking up at Tiernan. “Why didn’t you sleep here?” Yukie asked softly curious why his mates scent wasn’t flooding the house by this point.

"Indeed," Tiernan smiled sweetly thinking about the new society he and Yukie were building. "It's nice to see that some of them ate together during lunchtime at our in-house cafe. Some of their mates even brought homemade lunch for them as well," he chuckled at the reminder. big, stern looking military men went all mushy when their partners surprised them with home cooked meals. Then it reminded him that all he had during lunch was a quick bit of sandwich or burgers because his mate was away and he had himself to blame. "The house is too big to live alone,' Tiernan answered Yukie's question. "It feels cold." He fell asleep on the couch once after he had the movers brought some furniture and was woken up by a nightmare. It felt like he was alone in a tundra without his mate in the house. "So I was waiting for you to come home so the house is filled with your warmth," he told Yukie, smiling hopefully as he took Yukie's hand and kissed it.

“I don’t like how it smells...it’s to empty smelling. Smells to much like the facilities” Yukie mumbled as he looked at Tiernan resting more against him. “It will take weeks to make it feel like home and smell good” Yukie muttered annoyed that the house didn’t smell like his mate the place unsettling and hitting a nerve. “I don’t want to wait weeks I should be focusing on work and nesting.” Yukie added with a frown not liking that he hadn’t had time to prep a place for his babies to be hidden away. While other demons where fine carrying their kids around Yukie was more instinctive and wanted to have a nice hiding den to sleep and leave them in so he could go outside and hunt after they where born.
