So I told my boyfriend about me liking Boy's love. You see he's new to anime/manga even though he likes Pokemon and collects the cards. Anyways, it wasn't easy, I'm still embarrassed :cuteonion57: and this morning I told him about Loveless and Gravation then he made a joke about the whole cat ears thing in Loveless and how he's cat ears are rusted for being there so long, :cuteonion41: he's open-minded to begin with. I guess My point to this post is just sharing something ^_^ and if you wanna talk about if something like this has happened to you that's fine go ahead ^_^ thanks for listening guys.

boy friends - wait! not boy friend/s ok, they are my friends who happen to be boys xD anyways everytime they see me reading yaoi or at least mentioned it or even that I won't get bothered by seeing gay couple walking together - we would ended up arguing seeing yaoi is for gay people i'm like exactly cuz they are gay couple - yeh and the argument would just go on

Well, I haven't had a boyfriend so far, so I don't have any experience with telling about my addiction towards someone like that.

 

But my parents and sister know I read it (well, I'm not sure whether my dad really knows it - he tends to be oblivious regarding my hobbies). My sister finds it weird, but doesn't say much about it. My mother doesn't mind at all - she even knows how explicit some (okay, well, most >_>) of them can get and just said she tries to be as openminded as possible LOL Which is awesome if you ask me :_red_fox 2

 

Then some of my friends are yaoi fans as well, so it's fun to talk about it with them. Some of my friends aren't but don't mind if I talk about it occassionally.

A guy in my group (I study Japanese and we're all divided into five groups) even admits to preferring Sasuke and Naruto to end up together - and that's a straight guy XD So yeah, even he doesn't mind if I talk about yaoi. When I have a manga with me and a girl is leafing through it he never knows whether he wants to look or not :cuteonion26:

That's great! ^_^ I want Sasunaru together as well, but cause how the fandom can be I'm not into Naruto anymore, though sometimes I wish I still was. Well my boyfriend was the first I ever told anybody I've dated, openly about it.. though I did have a ex- who liked Gravaiton, and I know alot of times he questioned he's sexuality (the ex- I mean) lol.

i told my friends about this and they were 'WHAT?!"..hahah.,, you guys should see their faces..haha.. but, they accepted me so its really good for me.. i always tease my friend who's straight, i always send him yaoi pictures in fb and he would say "sh*t! grace, stop it! F**k you! hahahha,..

Only one of my friends knows about my yaoi addiction and she doesn't get it. I don't even bother trying to explain that I like reading yaoi since I already got laughed at when I started studying Japanese and told my friends that I had started reading manga. Their picture of "manga" equals to "girly stories" and they don't know that there are different genres. Well, two like the Vampire Knight anime, but that's it. I'm pretty much on my own, so I'm even gladder to have found YO :-)
