Yukie spoke stating he didn’t smell any different and Inosuke just laughed softly as he rubbed his cheek “ lead the way my dear “ he said softly as he moved his body to the side as he looked up at the night sky smiling softly to himself. As he thought about the whole adventure feeling as if it was just the other day they met for the first time and was partnered with this man who standing next to him was the best part of his life.

Holding Innosukes hand Yukie lead him down a pathway that was lit with small lanterns. They walked in silence for a few minutes before they were greeted with noise and soft light showing quite the wonderful market set up. “Rownan took me here when I first was allowed out of Yue and Yuen’s sight, it was magical.” Yukie mumbled as he held Innosukes hand a little closer. “I want you to see the magic of his culture.” Yukie mumbled with a blush as he was unsure if he should go any closer to the vendors since he hadn’t ever gone without Rownan.

Innosuke smiled as he hold his hand gritting his teeth as Yukie was holding onto the bandaged hand he bit down on his lip looking  around “it sounds like a wonderful place and I’d love to see it with you” he said before biting down on his lip again trying to keep his cool from the small pain pulsating in and up his arm as he tried to keep calm and watched carefully to see if his mate his love needed anything.

“You okay?” Yukie asked looking at Innosuke as he stood just watching people for a moment. “Everything is so new with us…I don’t know when you’re unhappy or uncomfortable. I’m not sure how to really date you. Maybe it sounds silly…but could I start out by just asking you questions maybe show you some of my favorite stalls?” Yukie asked trying to ease into a date but well he wasn’t sure how to do such a thing with Innosuke since he didn’t really know more then basic info about his mate.

He looked at him softly and smiled “Yukie you um you are squeezing my bandaged hand pretty tight “ he softly looked around as Yukie looked to him for answers “yes you can ask me anything and show me anything you want I’d love to see what you enjoy here on this island that you worked so hard to create, do these people know you?” He spoke softly  as he looked at the lights and stalls and centaurs that walked about and him being the only human  on this island.

“Ah! Sorry…I forget…humans are delicate” Yukie mumbled more to himself as he kissed Innosukes bandaged hand in apology before letting it go. “I’m not use to being so close to humans yet so I forget they are so soft.” Yukie added as he blushed the demon embarrassed about making such a mistake. Taking Innosukes other hand he lead him slowly forward as he waved a little to the other demons Yukie feeling rather unsure as he stopped at a jewelry stand admiring the shining gems and jewelry.

Innosuke laughed  softly as he followed behind his love weaving as he held tightly as his mate stopped at a jewelry counter, the jewelry shined and gleamed and the gems shimmered and a necklace caught his eye he stared at it for a second only to pull away to look at his love as he leaned in to whisper into his ear “I’m not weak and is there something you see that you want?” He said trying to see what his mate may have lingered on long enough for him to know what he liked at this stall.

“They have some pretty bracelets and earrings.” Yukie mentioned to the gold earrings that held beautiful emeralds on a small chain. Gently picking up the set Yukie inspected it before matching it with a bracelet.  Setting it to the side he looked at Innosuke. “Want anything?” Yukie asked with a blush knowing most men would be unhappy with him wearing pretty jewelry or feminine clothes.

Innosuke smiled at the earring and bracelet Yukie showed him, they looked stunning on him regardless of anything they truly complimented him he softly pointed to a silver chain necklace it was just a plain silver color but it still looked nice as he spoke to Yukie. “Those are perfect for you as for me I think I like this one here”

“Yeah?” Yukie replied with a smile ad he took the chain and put it on his mates neck admiring it. Looking over at the vendor he smiled and paid for their things and took Innosukes hand. “Want to keep looking?” Yukie asked knowing there where games and eventually fireworks later in the night.

Innosuke chuckled softly as he looked at his mate holding his hand he smiled softly and nodded to Yukie question of wanting to look around more, Innosuke looked around unsure of what this whole event had to offer and it brought him to wonder as to what was available. “Yea let’s take a look” he smiled leaning forward whispering into his ear “when you decide you are too tired to walk I’ll carry you” he offered before lightly blowing into his ear gently and standing up straight he chuckled softly.

“Oh yeah? You’ll carry me?” Yukie teased as he laughed lightly. “I’d like to see you try.” Yukie mumbled as he playfully nudged Innosuke before letting go of his mates hand and running off down the pathway with a small laugh as the fireworks started overhead making the demon stop for a moment to watch.

Innosuke laughed as Yukie taunted him before letting go of his hand running towards the open area where folks seemed to be gathering to watch fireworks shoot off, Innosuke ran after Yukie “Hey get back here babe” Innosuke chased after him. Closing the gap between them he noticed Yukie slowing down and watching as fireworks shot off innosuke came up behind him slipping his hands and placing them on Yukies waist “Got you” he said softly with a huff to gather himself as he looked up “wow..” he said softly  resting his chin on Yukies shoulder.

“They do them here twice a year once in the spring and again in the fall.” Yukie explained as he looked up at the colors the crowd around them rather lively. “I think I first saw them in the spring. It was pretty the flowers were all in bloom and the air smelled sweet.” Yukie added as he blushed and leaned back into Innosuke.

“It looks amazing and you also look amazing In this light” innosuke added as he held his mate softly kissing his cheek “you know I heard from kids around school kissing during a firework festival means your bound to the person you kiss….wanna try it?” innosuke teased as he ran his thumbs along his waist  as he watched the fireworks.

“I don’t know if I believe in fate.” Yukie teased as he cheekily stole a kiss from Innosukes lips before turning to watch the fireworks again. “But then again…can’t hurt to try.” Yukie added with a playful smirk as he snuggled closer into Innosukes arms.

Innosuke smiled as he just had a kiss stolen from him as he softly placed his hand on his loves cheek “That was too fast I don’t think the fireworks saw” he said as he softly turned his own head and gently kissed Yukie. To Innosuke the sounds around him the people and the loud booms and cracks of fireworks had faded away all her could hear was how fast his heart was beating in his chest and his thoughts of this person next to him being the only person to really see him for a normal person and not some makeup magazine model

Blushing at the kiss Yukie after a moment broke it and turned away his face red. With burning cheeks he hid his face away in Innosukes chest as if melting away from the world. Yukie was a touch embarrassed having never been kissed like such in public, and well on top of that such displays of affection were so new to him it was like a short circuit to his brain making him easily embarrassed. Closing his eyes Yukie held onto Innosuke enjoying the closeness as he listened to the booming fireworks behind him.

Innsouke wraped his arms around his love as he looked up at the sky and whispers softly only loud enough for Yukie to hear as others seemed to join them in that very same area “Forever and always Yukie”  he said softly as he held him before softly petting his head watching them “today and tonight absolutely perfect” he said out loud smiling to himself as he blushed looking down at his love.

Yukie just blushed as he nodded softly still unsure how to confess his feelings. Holding Innosukes hand closely Yukie watched as the fireworks ended and the crowd left leaving the few busy stalls open and a lively group gathered around the festival. “Want to try and win a goldfish?” Yukie asked curiously as he kept ahold of Innosukes hand pulling him a little bite towards the stall. Smiling happily Yukie looked at his new mate before a sudden deep blood red spot appeared from his shoulder soaking into Yukies clothes as the sound of a gunshot rang behind him. Yukie seemed almost immune to the pain as he noticed the slowly drenched shirt before a few demons came out with their own guns surrounding the two as they searched for the hidden gun. “Ah… those bullets sting.” Yukie mumbled as his hand shook slightly his shirt growing darker in two more places as he moved to the side a bullet slicing his cheek as he picked up Innosuke and moved his feet and with a small shift they where in the air only a few feet from the ground. Flapping his big black wings Yukie clearly wasn’t great at flying and with a small stumble at landed ended up with them rolling into some flower patches the two guards with wings following them the other two staying behind to hunt down the demon hunter who was after yukie.

”you two alright?” The guard asked as he offered a hand to Innosuke to help him off of Yukie who just laid still in the flowers as the other man grabbed a small first aide bag from his waist.

 The moment seemed so quick like a flash the fireworks slowly coming to an end his mate lightly pulling him to go get goldfish at another stall and then Bang…Bang….Bang the sounds rang out so quick it was hard for anyone to react to do anything in defence the crowd rushing past them and that moment is when innosuke noticed it, Blood soaking yukie’s shirt…one spot no two spots no three spots where visible though more could be there, in an instant surrounded by others circling the two and then suddenly in the air it  felt like someone was showing innosuke pictures of the event, it made no sense nor did it run cohesively like a proper thought. The landing was tough which jarred innosuke back to normal he landed on Yukie as he touched his face “Yukie, don’t move” he said as he looked around trying to find something to stop the blood from spilling out. Wings flapping behind them innosuke turned his head as he saw they were gaurds. “Help Yukie…tell Rownan….” innosuke said as he was pulled up from the flowers and stood there his body covered by his mates blood. Innosukes hands clenched, he was sad and angry he wanted to hurt the people or person who did this. Slipping to the ground he Punched the ground over and over as his eyes welled up. Innosuke felt like he failed protecting Yukie.

“Easy there.” The guard reassured Innosuke as he pulled out a small med kit from his own pocket. “Are you hurt? Anything broken?” The guard asked as he knelt by Innosuke the man wondering if the human was in shock.

“Oh you look so pale young prince. Almost as pale as Snow White.” The other guard teased Yukie knowing that the demons albinism couldn’t make him anymore whiter. “Come on you know the drill your mate is panicked, don’t make him worry more.” The guard added as he helped Yukie roll a little the demon coughing up blood as he gagged and continued to throw up until five very sharp and shiny bullets where in his hand.

”Here a gift.” Yukie groaned out as he placed the bloody bullets in the guards hand the guards face going a little pale at the sudden blood in his hand. “Snow White my ass.” Yukie mumbled as he coughed a little more his body aching and burning all over. “They are coated so make sure to deposit them properly.” Yukie added as he looked over at Innouske. “No need for tears, if it was that easy to kill me father would have done it long ago.” Yukie explained as ye sat back a little his body a touch in shock as he was badly bruised and cut from the landing. Wincing as he moved Yukie’s ears were ringing as the guard called for medical the demon looked over as an arrange of men stormed over along with the medical vehicle to help them. Looking around almost in a daze Yukie looked for Innosuke…”please come with me?” Yukie asked Innosuke not wanting to be alone in the chaos to the hospital.

“Yukie… not me” innosuke said as he heard Yukie speak which innosuke looked up and over to see blood still coating his mate and the flowers around him, the guard that sat by him had a disgusted look on his face and his hand been covered in blood, Innosuke in a small internal panic praying that what the guard was holding wasn’t anything vital, hearing his mate speak in a bratty tone for a nickname the guard called him and then calling to himself he looked at him directly “I want to find those fuckers and end them” Innosuke said as he wiped his face spreading blood across his face which coated his sleeve from holding Yukie, moments passed as a medical team was called and Yukie calling to innosuke as innosuke nodded “Ill go with you to the end of my days” he said sternly and honestly as he stood moving to his mates side following him with the rest “I want to know who did this and why… hey um gaurd.. Let me know when you find out who did this who orchestrated this insanity…I wanna talk to them” he said almost in an ordering tone though he was sure he would be rejected to this information or even be able to speak to the person though speaking was not exactly what innosuke had in mind, he wanted to beat the shit out of the person.

“Demon hunters, seems they recruited a demon by the looks of it. From what o heard the man’s already in custody. Basically this means more security measures for the demon island. But for Yukie this is a normal Tuesday.” The guard explained to Innouske as he helped load Yukie onto the stretcher and Yu was waiting in the ambulance already to help his son. 

“mmmh remind me why I even let you out of the house?” Yu asked Yukie half teasing as he started working on an Iv line and getting Yukie stabled.

”you don’t I break out like the delinquent I am.” Yukie groaned as he winced in pain his body violently shaking as he tried to control his reactions to pain hating how quickly he was breaking down from his injuries. “It hurts to breathe.” Yukie moaned as he winced from even the slightest touch while Yu added an oxygen mask.

”alright, you should go with them. Once Yukies stable I’ll let you know where you can meet our offender.” The guard added as he finished packing away his medical supplies.

”you’ll do no such thing! You’ll drop any thought of revenge and leave it to the elder system.” Yukie snapped as he had removed the mask only struggling more to breathe as he looked at the guard who sighed and shrugged as he knew Yukie had quite the distaste for violence and couldn’t be argued with.

Innosuke crawled in holding Yukies hand as he watched Yu work his wish to be a doctor to help others still on his mind and still wishing he could do more to help, his attention drawn as the guard spoke more about what to do Innosuke smiled “great I just-“ Yukie cut innosuke off as he snapped at the guard denying innosuke any right to see this person and in no way was allowed to intervene in the system set to punish them Innsouke watched the guard quickly shrug  with a sigh as he commented no further.

Innosuke looked at Yukie as he pleaded “let me talk to him I want to help lock him away for good… besides a small punch to the face for almost making me loose the love of my life I never want to be so unsure of your safety Yukie never” he looked up at Yu as he sighed “I’ll take your offer I want to volunteer at the clinic till you feel I am good enough to take a job… anything to be there for Yukie I’ll do it” he said firmly recalling Yu had offered him a job at the clinic to be a doctor.
