I'm getting too old for this

“Mmh I don’t mind people knowing but if Myles wants to keep it out of our coworkers ears I’m fine with that.” Yukie explained as he set Tama down the infant rolling around on the floor with a happy giggle. “Either way. I think you need to take a step back and let us figure things out I still don’t even know if Myles is attracted to me or my lifestyle.” Yukie added as he looked at Darrius. “You thought…you’ve been very forceful in pushing us to move things faster then we feel comfortable and you have no regard for others plans. For now I’ve made my feelings known and that I accept Myles feelings and that’s all that’s going to happen today. Going forward if Myles wants a casual date we can plan it another time when I don’t have kids that have been promised a vacation, and by the way while I’m thrilled you might feel the same way…because of this I’ve missed my reservation at our hotel and I’m going to have to drive extremely late and sleep in the car.” Yukie added snapping a little at Myles as he huffed and took Haru from Myles so he could pack the kids in the car.

Myles startles in his spot before the young child is snatched from him. The older man pouts, actually pouts a little, and droops as if he was just reprimanded like a child. 

"What if .... I could get you another reservation?" He mumbles quietly after Yukie. Darrius looks at the two. "Oh bitch you are NOT!?" 

Myles huffs at Darrius, "this is mostly your fault anyway, now hush!" The elder already picking up his phone sending a text at rapid fire. 

"I'm not made of money like you two but I do have. A few friends in high places."

“Look I’m willing to pay more if you can but this is their first outing as a family…I don’t want them to be disappointed. They’ve already had a crappy start to life at least this is a good effort making up for it.” Yukie replied as he frowned and looked at Myles who was busy making calls.

Darrius snickered, "Suga lump he knows. He's bout to pull some strings and you ain't gonna pay a diiiimmme~ relax" darrius raises his legs to settle on the counter. 

Myles was texting for a little longer before finally putting away the phone. "So um... Your reservation is fixed, you'll be given a discount for room service and I was able to move you to a double so the kids could have a bed and you could as well" the older explains looking nervous afraid Yukie wouldn't like his reparations

“Oh thank you.” Yukie replied his face a bit red as he blushed the poor man amazed by how well Myles handed everything. “I’m guessing it helps you sound older?” Yukie asked a little playfully as he settled Haru back down the boy huffing at being moved around so much. “Though I guess I only have one question. Do you still want to go? I mean originally we planned to go together but I understand if you need more space.” Yukie offered with another deepening blush as he focused on fussing over Tama to avoid either men’s stares.

If Myles had a tail.it would be wagging at the thought of still getting to go. "I-I .... I .... I don't think i shou--" 

"OMIGOD YES HE DOES!" Darrius butts in yet again. He barges into Myles room, packs up an overnight bag for the man and shoves it in his arms. He looks to Yukie,"Get this mans in the car before he can talk himself out of going!"

“Easy, he doesn’t even know what all I have planned he might not even be packed for a full trip.” Yukie explained as he held up his hands to motion for Darius to cool it. “Myles, he needs to calm down because it’s a touch overwhelming and he keeps answering for you. I want to know if you want to go it’s more than just seeing fish. Not only that if your going we need to discuss plans and adjust them as needed.” Yukie explained gently as he was trying very very hard to be patient with Mr. Third wheel.

-see fishies?- Haru asked curiously as he pulled on Yukies shirt having already gotten over being moved so much. Haru of course understood one English word in the last two weeks and it was fish or fishies, this of course was a delight to Yukie as he worked on helping him learn more.

-ah.- “fishies” -they are sleeping since it’s dark we will see them tomorrow, where did you place your shark?- Yukie asked as he held Tama in one arm and searched around the room for the toy shark that had movable jaws along with fins and tails.

Myles felt his head spinning. So much was happening at once! How was he gonna answer!??! Of course he still wanted to go, the red head was ecstatic the moment the trip was mentioned but how could he possibly ask for that after ghosting both Yukie and the kids for days and if he DID go, then he would unending all the plans Yukie had put in place! 

Darrius sighs and leans over to whisper at Yukie, "Look you may as well take him with you. It's obvious he's dying to go! Ruby tudy is amazing in high stress situations in the office and in the streets when it matters but when it comes to his own personal life, the man is absolutely lost!" Their coworker was pleading to Yukie by this point. "Please .... I know he wants to go with you" Darrius looks back to Myles. The older man flinched. 

"You still wanna go right?" Darrius raises a brow, knowing fully that the red head did. 

The ever telling sign of the older twirling and tugging his hair before nodding. " .... If it wouldn't be much trouble .... Yea ....I would be very happy to go" Myles looked down to little Haru and Tama who seemed to handle this whole situation so much better than he would've as a child. He smiles, apologetically since he was why they were all so far behind their trip.

“Alright, I’m assuming you drive better then Darrius, and I only know I basics enough to pass the test….so you can drive us in the morning.” Yukie replied as he grabbed his bag and Tama then Haru. “I’m going to get the kids bathed and dressed for bed. We can camp out in your living room unless you really want to be driving at night.” Yukie added not confident in his driving since he had only be learning the last year. Gathering up the boys he dragged them off to Myles bathroom to get them cleaned up and tended to.

"No no you all can take the bed, I'll take the couch. It'll be more comfortable for them, and safer. My apartment isn't baby proofed." Myles quickly states, grabbing the kids things and placing them in his room. 

Darrius meanwhile looks a little offended. "Hey! I'm an amazing driver!! Did we get killed? Run and red lights?! No! Yea maybe i was speeding a little bit but this was an emergency!" 

"You had children in the car who when they came up and I saw them were covered head to toe in their own sick!" Myles scolds voice suddenly booming. He comes out of the room wearing the meanest look anyone's ever seen. "Your lucky I don't call the cops for reckless driving and endangerment you ass!" 

Darrius, normally the chatter box is suddenly very quiet and sitting up straight. He whispers over to Yukie. "Greeeeaaaaat now he puts the daddy pants on to yell at me. Thanks a bunch"

“Mmh you deserve to be yelled at and scolded you drive like a crazy person and tried to feed a six month old solid food.” Yukie replied as he came back out with Haru who was in cute shark pajamas and Tama who was snuggled against him in bear Jammie’s looking like he was cursing the world. Haru looking at the two ran over to Myles as he snuggled into the man’s leg.

“Shark” Haru exclaimed as he showed Myles his shirt a huge smile on his face. -up please- Haru asked as he held out his arms wanting to be held.

" Actually that's about the normal age for a baby to start on solid foods here." Myles chimed in before feeling a weight against his leg. He looks down seeing little Haru and gives him a smile. Myles feels his heart melt when the little boy shows off his little shark shirt off and hoods up his little arms. The redhead happily scoops him up to hold him and blow raspberries in his little cheek. 

"Regardless of that however, Darrius you can't start a baby off with sugar! And you certainly shouldn't be weaving in and out of traffic with children in the car!! That's just idiocy and a wreck waiting to happen!" Myles scolds more. Darrius begins to sink a bit in the chair he sits in. "I told you both this was an emergency!" He whines.

“Ah well back home we make sure they eat lots of veggies and healthy food sugar should only be from fruits and an occasional treat.” Yukie explained as he looked at Myles adoring how well him and Haru got along. 
 

“look I could overlook the sugar every now and then but Yue told me to be careful and to get them both allergy tested. Yuen said I was very allergic to a variety of things around Haru’s age and that when I was Tama’s I had a very sensitive stomach that lead to the problems I had at Haru’s age. He warned me that some things like that can be hereditary and don’t show up at first and it can be terrifying if it’s a bad reaction.” Yukie explained not trying to be overly strict but well he believed Yuen and Yue when they warned him what not to do with the kids diet.

"Understandable, which leads to my next point-- Darrius what are you doing feeding a kid you barely.know!?!?" 

Myles spent the next hour scolding at Darrius whom spent that same hour trying to run away. Haru was sadly along for the ride as Myles held the little boy on his hip. 

By the time Myles was finished and kicked Darrius out, it was extremely late and well past these poor boys bedtime. With an exhausted sigh Myles looks to Yukie, "Well cmon lets get you all to bed, yea?" 

The red head leads them all to his bedroom, setting Haru down to take out the spare blankets and pillows. "I don't have a basant for Tama but I have a large laundry basket and some throw pillows we can use to settle him in for the night so then you and Haru will have room in the bed."

“Laundry basket works. I used it for the first two weeks until I found a portable bassinet I liked.” Yukie admitted as he picked up Tama and carried him to the room the baby already drifting in and out of sleep. Haru holding his shark toy close snuggled down into the bed as he mumbled a few words as he looked at Myles.

”He asked if you could read to him. He’s quite fond of you. I’m afraid you’ll have to always stay around, unless his heart gets broke” Yukie whispered as he worked on swaddling Tama the infant fussing at the swaddling but sleeping better at night because of it. “I packed the book I’ve been reading in their diaper bag.” Yukie explained as he sighed and finally finished wrapping Tama settled him down on the bed as he grumbled cutely as he still tried to fight sleeping. Settling on the bed Yukie gently hummed as he patted Tamas back having gotten used to soothing him to sleep every night for a few hours.

Myles chuckled bashfully. "I can but I'm afraid I'm not a very good story teller.... Would he even enjoy it since he can hardly understand me?" The older man asks as he fishes around for the book. 

Nonetheless, Myles waits for everybody to get settled in before reading a few pages looking up every so often to check and see whose still awake and whose dozed off. His voice was low, Myles doing his best to be soothing and calm.

“They don’t understand but they kinda enjoy when I just talk to them it’s soothing I guess?” Yukie replied as he snuggled down beside Haru who snuggled cutely into Yukie. After a few minutes Yukie was out cold while Haru was still listening trying to fight off sleep. Tama of course was the first to fall asleep the infant grumbling a little in his sleep as Yukie kept a light hand in his bed for him to hold his other arm around Tama this being how he had been sleeping since they got there.

Myles took a moment to enjoy the sight, before getting up and putting a blanket over Yukie and haru, checking to be sure little Tama was still safely snuggled in the makeshift bed. 

He left as quietly as he could to head for the living room, rummaging through the overnight bag to see what darrius packed him. ' Let's see... Clothes, toothbrush, deodorant, lu--!?!?! ' Myles swore his face was even redder than his hair and he was gonna kill Darrius the second he saw him again!! What the hell was that man thinking, packing lube?! Mylea groans, unbelievable embarrassed! He takes out the little bottle, question where the hell Darrius even found it unless-- .... Shit he went though his drawer in his closet didn't he?! 

Myles wanted to scream. He quickly tossed the bottle.behind the couch in hopes neither kid or Yukie found it later before he locked it back up tight. 

Once everything settled, Myles did his best to get as much sleep as he could for tomorrow...

As Yukie slept deep into the night he only got up to make a bottle for Tama and take Haru to the bathroom as needed. As he tucked Haru back into bed he hummed softly as he walked Tama around the house the infant struggling to fall back asleep again as Yukie soothed him and rocked him. Eventually after a few hours he had finally settled Tama into sleep again and crawled back into the bed falling asleep between the two for about four hours only to be woken up again by Tama being fussy and Haru watching Tama fuss. ~Goodness. You’re quite full of anger today.~ Yukie mumbled softly as he got up and carried Tama with him to the kitchen to make another bottle Haru following behind holding onto Yukies shirt.

~Strawberry man sleeping.~ Haru replied to Yukie as he looked over at the couch and chuckled. 

~yeah he is let’s not wake him okay?~ Yukie whispered to Haru as he shook the bottle and lead the way back so he could change and dress the kids. Once they were dressed Yukie sighed as he noticed the sun was just barely coming up. “Shall we go pick up breakfast?” Yukie asked the two as Haru nodded and smiled the three leaving the house quietly Yukie leaving Myles a text and taking his keys after a few minutes of searching so he could let himself back in.

It would be a good while before Myles woke up. He was stiff and groggy. He stretches and bends backwards, an audible crack to his back. 

Checking his phone, Myles spotted the text from Yukie. He smiles groggily before shooting off a text of acknowledgement, and hobbling to his little kitchen to start a pot of coffee to have ready for himself and Yukie when he and the children are back. Once set, the older man hobbles to his bathroom to get freshened up for the day and pack a better bag for the trip to the aquarium. 

Myles would be changing his shirt when Yukie finally made it back.

Yukie coming back with the kids let himself in and after setting Haru down on the floor he set Tama beside him on his belly heading instantly to the bedroom for a fresh shirt Tama having spit up gloriously all over his shirt. “Honestly Tama.” Yukie sighed as he let himself into the room before stopping his face flushing red as he couldn’t help but stare at the half naked Myles.

The older man froze mid way through removing his shirt, his tattoo fully on display. Vines and flower along his ribcage, sitting above what looked like downturned wings. Leafy vines leading down below his pants giving hints to there being more ink below. The middle of his chest was sporting more ink as well. A beaded lace piece in between his pecs, looking like delicate, fine jewelry. 

Myles felt his own blush reaching down his shoulders, he sputtered, making an attempt to cover himself, "S-s-sorry I didn't think you'd b-be back so quickly!! I-I'll be out shortly!!"

“Ah. I’m sorry…I shouldn’t have just walked in here without knocking.” Yukie replied his face blood red as he covered his face in embarrassment and stumbled out of the room hitting into the wall a little as he closed the door behind him. Hiding back out in the living room he let out a small groan as he blushed even more red unable to get such a beautiful image out of his head. Getting up off the couch he busied himself quickly prepping their breakfast and getting the kids situated and fed. After a few minutes he had calmed down from his surprise embarrassment and became a little more relaxed.

~strawberries! Strawberries!~Haru sang happily as he showed Yukie his food at the end of his chopsticks the toddler giggling happily as he munched on his plate of fruit. Looking over Yukie chuckled as he gently wiped off Tamas face and got him changed and dressed into a new onesie that had lizards all over it.

'OMIGOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!'  Myles wanted to scream! Myles had never been so embarrassed in his life! Why didn't he lock the door?! 

Now it wasn't so much Myles HAD the tattoo, but he reason as to why and how he got it. He was young, dumb, and fresh from a break up from a shitty boyfriend. But that was a story to be told at another time! The red head took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down to finish dressing and packing and prep himself to face Yukie .... And the questions coming his way. It's fine... We're both adults, we can handle a talk about exes and tats. It's fine! 

Another deep breath, and steps out into the living room still a little flushed. "Ok! We all ready to go? I'll go pack up the car, and you all get cleaned up and use the bathroom if ya need, I have coffee ready if you Wana get a to go cup ready!" And Myles bolts down to the car.

“Ah, alright.” Yukie replied as he finished drying the dishes. Grabbing the kids he carried them with him to sit in the bathroom since he didn’t trust the kids alone in the house to eat. As he sighed Yukie made sure they where settled while he showered and got ready.
 

~Haru , are you excited?~ Yukie asked Haru who nodded more focused on eating his food.

~Is fluffy hair coming?~ Haru asked with a look up at Yukie who was drying his hair with a towel.

~Yes, his name is Myles and he’s going to be coming. He might be around more often to visit…are you okay with that?” Yukie asked softly as Haru nodded and smiled before giggling and finishing his food. ~What about you Tama?~ Yukie asked in a cute baby talk voice as he made faces at the baby making him squeal and laugh in amusement. “Now then I think we are all ready,” Yukie replied more to himself as he repacked the kids bags and the small bassinet before picking up Haru and Tama and carried them down to his car.
