Bear City 1

Plot:

 

Tyler is a perfectly gorgeous twink living the "twink dream". He lives with two other twinks who party a lot-one of the twinks (Simon) is close to Tyler but Tyler has a secret. Tyler is actually not attracted to twinks at all! He spends all his time secretly masturbating to bear porn ( basically hairy muscly/round men). He finally has enough of pretending and decides to move in with a bear couple - Fred and Brent. On the way he makes friends with other bears and comes clean to Simon.Through them he gets acquainted with the bear hierarchy and falls in love for the most desired bear - Roger. However, Tyler is does not even fit into the bear category let alone Rogers standards.

 

 

Bear City 2 The Proposal

Plot:

 

Tyler and Roger have been dating for a while now- Roger wants to make it official. He proposes to Tyler- who is not convinced he's ready. Initially, Tyler rejects him but then after thinking(or not thinking) he agrees. The wedding coincides with some big bear festival. The wedding party make their way to stay at Brents mother -Roses' house. Before the wedding commences, the group has some fun at the Bear festival.

Trouble ensues when Roger sees an old ex and Tyler spends time with a mega bear. The other couples are having issues too.Brent and Fred are not committed (married) even though its been years. Micheal and Carlos are so busy with their own businesses that they don't have time to talk. The wedding approaches and tensions are high- will they go through with it? Will it all be for nothing?

 

Review:

Again, i am reviewing together (sorry) it just helps me remember. This is not the kind of movie you take too seriously it is a comedy! It is full of stereotypes and general cheesiness. However, both films are quite feel good films. Tyler to me is actually an interesting character but the other couples are even more interesting than him and Roger. The other couples show a more realistic dynamic and set of problems. The first film is more shallow the second has a little more depth- with the story focusing on Brent more. The ending of part two was a little rushed to my liking but it was still good. Look out for Brents mother she is awesome!
