Alejandro
Oh, yeah! Balut is the number one! when i went to the philippines for a vacation, i thought it's disgusting but it's not actually. I tried it and it's good. I feel sorry for the duck boiled inside though. Hahahahhaa! But yeah! It's delicious. And yeah they said it's an aphrodisiac but I tried eating 7 of it in a day but nothin' happened. But delicious!

Feiht
Wow, I wonder how people came up with the idea that these kinds of food can be considered delicacies....But to each his/her own, ne? Looking at the list, the silkworm pupae and shirako seem actually pretty good. Of course, followed by a shot of Habu Sake;D

The picture, I'm not sure, but in the Phil we have something called kalamay.. Its made out of glutinous rice flour, coconut milk and brown sugar.. Sometimes they are placed in bamboo, or coconut shell..I see it in the market.. The sannakji looks really yummy...and lively...

Mix & match is my cooking motto.. And in that picture, in my country call it as ข้าวหลาม or Khao Larm ; it's made of sticky rice, coconut milk, black beans and sugar

ukemextreme
i'm from the philippines and there are alot of weird delicacies in here. i most especially love the barbecue-ed stuff -- chicken feet, gizzard, etc. some restaurants in tourist areas have also been serving frog legs since they say it tastes alot like chicken wings. in a town near our place, pufferfish is a delicacy as well. Gatichan
Fried tarantula!?!? *turn green* ye-uch!! I'd rather gobble tem up with my vacuum cleaner than have to put them anywhere near my face! But Shirako does really taste surprisingly good. My Japanese teacher invited us to a Japanese restaurant and had us try different dishes and only after we'd tasted them did he bother to translate what it was that we were eating. Despite the slightly sick feeling upon hearing what it was, I have to admit it was tasty lol

Rhye_Meow
Oh, have you guys tried the fruit called DURIAN? the smell! It's super gross! It penetrates the clothes and the hair. I remember once my family had a vacation in davao phils. The minute they crack the thing open,my mouth spew profanities., but when they turned that durian into candies,.. ohh, it's really good,.sweet and has a creamy flavor, Balut from the phils.. i've seen them can't eat it, i can't eat the poor little chick inside ;( I've eaten alot of raw things from japan, that for me is weird. In a chinese restaurant i've dine once, they serve a breathing fish. Although it's already half cook. With sauce and everything.. (poor thing was tortured.) I waited till it died, then eat it( cause he was so expensive!) XD
