Neja Posted May 19, 2013 Share Posted May 19, 2013 Hello everyone, You can call me Neja. I‘m a little bit crazy girl from Far Away. To tell you the truth, not so long ago I was one of the point-blank people, who thought that gays are some kind of creeps, who don’t know their place and what they’re doing with their lives. Every thought, which referred to this kind of homo relationship, made me sick. In short, I just couldn’t tolerate and understand it. I guess that’s understandable considering the fact that I grew up in the normal heterosexual family and that I’m living in this very blunt society, which still can’t accept different ones even right now. So, how did I end up here? Fortunately, everything now is different. Fate decided to change my life completely by throwing new challenges at me. There were a few events in my so called life, which have changed my thinking for eternity. First of all, I’ve fallen in love with anime. Interesting stories, unique characters, philosophical thoughts, action, comedy pledged in one just captivated me. But that was just the beginning. One day, when I was searching for new anime to watch, I accidentally saw anime “Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi”. At first I was horrified. I couldn’t understand why in the world gay anime is in the top of the best anime lists. I frankly thought that the world has gone insane. Then, after long hours of thinking, I’ve decided to give it a try. I clearly remembered how I thought that I’ll laugh at it, especially at people who watch this nonsense. But I was damn wrong. I really liked this anime very much. Forbidden love, real and sweet feelings just gripped my girly heart, thirsting for romance. Then I have watched “Junjou Romantica”. After that I have started to read lots of yaoi, shounen-ai manga, which let understood something new in this life. It gave me tolerance and a little bit of strange wisdom. Now I think that it doesn’t matter what kind of orientation you’re. As long as these feelings are frank and mutual, everything is fine. I still think that I’m heterosexual, but if someday I’ll fall in love with a woman, I don’t see any problem at all. So that’s how I end up as yaoi fan. Honestly, I’m glad that I’ve found this forum, because lately I was thinking that maybe I’m the only one crazy here. I hope that we’ll become great friends ( or maybe unique enemies?).
