Kiyoye
Intro Its the year 4020 A.D. Earth is no longer as it once was. Humanity is but a dream of the past while evolved creatures, the fittest of the selected few have only managed to survive. Society is no more, Mother Earth has reclaimed what was once rightly fully hers slowly washing away the stain of human presence. The cities have crumbled; the tall skyscrapers nothing but a shattered rubble of ruins, home to the fearsome mutated beasts that now roam the land in search of any remaining humans and weaker creatures they can feast on. The towns deserted, people no longer able to live in the communities they once had in fear that the advancement of society will bring about their despair once more. Instead what is left of the humans live in small little huts, clustered in packs of no more then 40 or so people young to old, fearing the monsters that had come from the bowels of those they once hunted for meat, and the evolved humans, no longer considered human but not quite savage mindless beast. If this had not been enough now turmoil to survive a plague has been unleashed upon the mortal humans. Determined to fully cleanse her lands, Mother Earth has released a poison toxic in the form of spores that sporadically pop up along the roots of trees. These spores release a deadly gas that weakens the human body deteriorating it from the inside out, making the body unable to take in any nutrients, until the person withers up likes a dried root and dies. Humans call the disease Gnarl, for one looks like a gnarled tree root by the time the sickness has overwhelmed and killed them. However recently there has been rumor across the world of a rose, a single rose that can cure Gnarl. A rose able to allow humans to live peacefully among the lands in cohabitation with the plant life. However, the rose is hidden deep within a jungle that no man has touched since the world first ended. Adventurers Me Name: Shiki Age: Unknown (But presumed to be the first evolved human) Species: Tulipia Position: Uke Description of Appearance: Terribly small; shorter then even average height humans. Pale luminous skin with a slight blue tint. Hair down past his ankles in hues of orange and reds, threads of green vines sprinkle his forehead bleeding into his hair, which is partially soft tulip petals. A dust of freckles right above his nose and down his spin like tiny little mushroom tops. Large crystal blue eyes that seem to take up his entire face. Short Bio: Shiki has lived in the deep jungles with very little to no contact of the humans. He remembers a time long ago when he'd adventure out more, trying to seek companionship from the humans but the adults would attempt to burn him thinking he was like the monsters that roamed the land. Children would tend to pull the petals from his hair so he stayed deep in the jungle, isolated, fearful and so very alone. Extras: Rather shy upon first getting to know but once he opens up he blossoms becoming a rather vibrant energetic being. He can be rather playful, a trickster and a good conversationalist though the only things he's had to talk to was other plant life for the last couple decades he could remember. His favorite thing to eat is the rebaudiana leaves (naturally sweet plant). The plant Shiki is modeled after. Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. Name: Takura Yamigashi. Age: 23. Species: Human. Position (Seme, Seke, Uke): Seme. Description of Appearance (or picture if you like): Takura is around 5 foot 8 inches, lean but muscular and well defined. His blue hair is short and spiky stopping just short of his shoulders, his eyes a pale lavender whilst the whites are tinted slightly yellow due to the gnarl disease. His skin is naturally a pale peach but due to the disease it is even paler than normal Short Bio: Takura's places his survival on the fact that he is strong willed and physically capable, he knew he wasn't one of the strongest to survive but he had the will to keep fighting to live. When he contracts the gnarl disease he decides he isn't going to be beat by it but knowing even the strongest can't live once having the disease he knows the only chance he has is if the legend is true. Extra (optional): The Gnarl is in it's first stages of development with in his body. Personality: Kind, thoughtful, strong willed, determined, outgoing. Anything else you want me to add or change feel free to message me). Name: Akito Age: 18 Species: Human/Salix Position: Uke Description of Appearance : Fairly tall with dark brown hair with light pink streaks. His eyes are green, and his arms have leaves over them a little bit Short Bio: He is a half breed of Human and Salix. He has lived his whole life in the forests, never venturing out as he is frightened of the humans and what they might do to him. He has been alone since he was a child and his only friends are the animals and trees of the forest. He can manipulate the earth slightly, but his great weakness is fire and sharp objects. Please Register/ Sign In, in order to see the links. Name: Miko ( But he hates his real name and demands to be called Vincent. ) Age: 19 Species: Human Position (Seme, Seke, Uke): Seke Description of Appearance (or picture if you like): tall (about 182cm) with heavy long straight violet hair. He has pale blue beautiful eyes with curved lovely eaves and face with mild features. His skin is almost white and his shoulders are broad. He usually wears comfortable clothes like black jeans, snickers, grey T-shirt with long sleeves. Short Bio: Actually, he was always an unwanted child. He is a child of a man that his mother hated the most. It has happened that, according to his mother, he looks exactly like his father and has the same talent - singing. Because of this his mother detested him with all her heart. She always punched him, made him do all the work. She said that he should have never born in this world. However, his mother always was nice to him in front others. She lashed at him out just when nobody was looking. Due to this situation everything turned out that Miko detest humans, his own species and himself. He never has met his own father. He doesn’t want to see him at all. One year ago his mother died by committing suicide. He didn’t feel a thing. When he realized it, he started to hate himself even more. This detestation suffocates him and he understands it pretty well. His life is like hell to him. Just singing is his only salvation. All pain and hatred he put under the lyrics. While he’s singing, he doesn’t feel any pain. To others he’s always nice, helpful and cheerful. Nobody knows what is really going on in his heart. Suddenly he heard about the rose, which can bring joy to humanity and that there’re even brave people, who started to search for it. The thought that others can be happy, while he can't, makes him sick. He thought that this world is too unfair. He decided to find this flower and destroy it with his own hands. He said to others that he’ll try to find this flower for their own sake. People wrongly thought that he wants to save them from their pain. So, they let him go to this risky journey as a hero. Everything will change when he finds his one special person, who will change him little by little. Extra (optional): Likes to read, to philosophise a little. He is a very good actor and knows how to control himself and deseve others. He has a complex with his violet hair. Miko was his real father‘s name, so, he hates it very much and demands to be called Vincent. Other Tidbits To make it more official I used the scientific name for both Shiki and Akito. For those that don't know what Tulipia and Salix are; Shiki is derived from the tulip while Akito is from the willow (i.e willow tree). Kiyoye
Something wasn’t right, what per say wasn’t right Shiki couldn’t tell. He sat perched on a middle branch of a broad old oak tree, the branch nearly as wide as he was long allowing him to perch comfortable without fear of falling even if he dozed off, and something in the wind unsettled him greatly. The forest was bright, sunny, humid even. The damp cloying heat creating a muggy uncomfortable feeling towards those not accustomed to such temperatures. It wasn’t just that the heat seemed unnecessarily hot, but it was the closeness of the leaves as the touched upon ones skin. Things were crowded in this area of the jungle, as though the very leaves were alive seeking to caress one’s skin. No human settlement traversed in this area, none had ever seen this area of the world in centuries. Even the creatures of the land treaded lightly while in the forest. The trees held an unnatural hum of energy that crawled across the skin or fur leaving one on edge. All that had been happening for as far back as the young male could remember, continued to happen. So what was it that caressed the soft amber like petals blended in his vibrant locks that had him peering off into the deep green foliage covered horizon? Huffing at the irritable state his body spiraled into at his inability to figure out what was off about the jungle, Shiki pushed up, standing to his meager 4’5” of height that the small lithe body stood at. His thick mane of red and orange locks unfurling from his lap where he’d been brushing it out in the sun giving the petals that lay deeply entwined in his locks to get the proper amount of sunlight they needed, flopped to his feet. The tip of the high ponytail still lay limply on the ground despite how high he had it on his head. He took two steps forward towards the edge of the branch, his bare feet barely making the softest patter as he trekked closer to the edge. His pale bluish hued body clothed in an over-sized tunic sewn together by two large palm leaves that fluttered in wind. Closing his eyes, he stepped closer to the edge, toes curling over the edge before he plunged off the branch, wind whipping back his ponytail behind him as his body plummeted towards the ground. Closer and closer he inched towards the ground before with less than a foot between him and the unforgiving earth, large fluffy leaves of the Campanula spring up, enfolding his body. He rolls, tumbling down to the stem of the leaf all the way to the ground with a small oomph. Dirt and small leaves clung to him; he shook them off till the fluttered back to the ground. Pushing up till he stood once more on his feet, Shiki took off into the jungles after whatever was bothering him.
lKiyoshil
I contracted the disease a mere week ago and I can already tell that changes are happening within my body, my skin has a visible paler tone whilst my eyes have yellowed, those are the physical signs but then of course is the intense pain searing through my body like a wildfire consuming all in it's path. They only last for a few seconds and they rarely exceed more than 5 a day but damn are they painful, the constant vomiting the first three days was more than enough to make me want to try anything to cure myself. So I took it upon myself to go on a mission to find the rumoured cure, even if it isn't real I have too try I feel it in my blood. Something is pulling me towards the cure I have no doubt about it, so here I am at the start of this dense jungle. I am not even sure which way I am going seeing as I can't even see much past my arms width around me due to all the overgrown plant life, I am not a nature loving person but this place is spectacular. It always surprised me how humans could just happily destroy the very essence of our being, without nature we couldn't survive and now that is literally proving to be true. I still wonder though if human's can really change or whether we are destined to just all disintegrate into nothing but bones and ash, can humans truly let go of the hatred they have not only towards themselves but nature too? Can we truly find a way to live in harmony with the now unforgiving world instead of living in fear of it? I dunno the answers but I sure do hope that his rose can do all it's rumoured too, if we can live in harmony again it would be a blessing. He had barely stepped into the jungle undergrowth when these thoughts began to flood his head, his hands carefully pushing aside the growth of the plants as he tried to make his way through the thick over grown jungle. His lavender eyes trying to search for anything that would help him find his way but finding nothing but green, browns and oranges, the pull towards the cure was all he was relying on to be able to find his way. His eyes being impaired by the dense nature of the undergrowth, his ears straining to hear any noises as he walked almost blindly towards his destiny. He had decide just two days ago that he would do one of two things, he would either confirm the existence of the forbidden rose that lay deep within the center of this untravelled jungle and cure the disease that changed his body from within or he would prove it just to be a rumour and would die whilst trying to find it. Which ever fate had in store for him he was determined to fight to the very end, as the wind blew through the undergrowth sending his blue spiked hair into a wave behind him he picked up on something. Something that was moving with in the jungle though he couldn't tell how close it was he could tell it was some distance not being able to pick up on it's scent or sounds, he frowned and glanced around him finding the closest sturdy tree he climbed the thick trunk until he was sat on one of it's many branches. Gazing through the canopy he smiled to himself, it all looked so peaceful beneath him if he was going to die he had certainly picked the most tranquil place to end it all. Shaking the thoughts from his head his lean body slipped from the branch using his hands to dangle before he released his grip and and landed on the branches below before he lowered himself much in the same way until he was close enough to the ground that his lean muscular body could drop without any damage, his feet once again starting up their purposed walk towards the mysterious pull he could feel. littlemissyaoi
Akito sniffed the air. He had been following someone for a little while now, but had no idea who it was. But he knew it was a human. Akito shook his head and darted quickly behind a tree. Humans were bad. They hurt the forest and killed everything. Akito was half human himself, but he belonged to the forest. Placing his hand on the tree, he closed his eyes and concentrated. He could hear the forests voice. It was angry that the human was there, but did nothing to stop him proceeding. It also sensed another human, who was some way behind Akito. Akito thanked the tree for its assistance and continued his pursuit after the human. Normally, Akito would hide from the humans. He had seen what they could do to his kind, and was frightened for his safety. But today, Akito had sensed the human going deeper into the jungle than usual, so went to investigate. As he ran past a bush, it released a cloud of purplish coloured spores. Akito raised his arms over his face and turned them into bark, so to protect himself. The spores attacked the human body, making them suffereing a disease that was known as gnarl. Even though Akito was half-plant, the gnarl could still affect him slightly, and in an extreme dose of spores, actually kill him, like it killed humans. The other human seemed to be closer now, so Akito transformed his whole body into bark. His brown hair became green and leafy, and his body leant over to one side. Where Akito had stood, there was now a Willow tree.
Neja
*In Vincent‘s eyes* Say Hello to Miko "This world.... This world is so empty, but among all of the living creatures, I‘m the emptiest of all. I live therebay with these beings like myself. I live and I laugh at myself, them...at the same time.“ These words were fluently emerging from my heart. They filled all the space with strange feelings, which were throbbing in my soul. Every pronounced word from my lips relieved these hurtful sentiments little by little. Thus, they were making me calmer. I guess that’s why I liked to sing…. To easier the pain of being alive. Though, I hated it a little bit, too. Because the moment I have stopped singing, all these uneasy feelings have always come back with even greater power. However, I couldn’t stop it. Because I have known for sure that if I did this, I wouldn't be able to live any longer. So, I sang for myself and for these lonely walls. All these strange, yet well known thoughts kept appearing in my head. I watched the place, while I was still singing. These cold and timid walls…. Now they were so precious to me, so very near to my spirit. Even I have felt a little tiny bit happiness of my life, because of the melody of my pain. Yes, I should have born as a melody, but I have born in this meat and bones instead. Life sometimes is just so unfair. “Miko, are you there?” Suddenly my melody vanished tandem with my little bits of cheerfulness. This abruptly appeared voice irritated me. Furthermore, my heart throbbed even more painfully, because I heard this cursed word, which has hunted me for ages… That damned name Miko. Like always in my mind appeared these two cold eyes and these freezing words, which were only dedicated to me. “Miko. Hey! Miko! Can you hear me? Hey!” Again this word pierced my mind. I slightly scowled, took a deep brief and sat on the bed, where not too long ago I was one with my consciousness, and pulled myself together, because I couldn’t show myself to others in this state, in which I have looked right now. “What is it? What has happened?” I said as tender as possible. Then door has opened widely. Very quickly in front of my face appeared a smiling middle aged woman. So, that was the one, who had cramped my time of silence. That old witch! “Oh, I hope I haven’t disturbed you. After all this is your last day in this room. However we need to check your bags one more time and with you, too. We can’t afford to make mistakes.” “Please, my dear madam, you know that you can come to this room whenever you want. I am sorry that I have forced you came here, because of my well being. You are so generous.” I replied. The woman just smiled and suddenly asked me in tearful face. “Do you really have to go for this flower? We don’t even know if this is true or just another legacy. Please, reconsider your decision. It would be very hurtful to lose such a good boy like you.” Didn’t you want to say: ”We will still need to use you for our own needs”? I thought. But instead I have formed as much as possible kind and yet sad face. “Madam. I really want to help human kind if I can. During these past few years I have seen how much you were all suffering, due to this catastrophe. My heart can’t take it anymore. Please, you are sensible woman. If there is even a glance of chance that because of this flower we could save so many lives… It’s really worth at least trying to find it.” After these words a little tear drops glinted near woman’s eyes. “Uh, if only all the people in the world could be so brave and so kind as you…” “Please. Don’t say that! I am not doing this for you or for the villagers, but for myself. I just can’t bear to look at it. I’m the fraud here. I am so scared to face the reality that I even going to search for this flower.” “You’re really….” “I beg of you, don’t tear your voice anymore. I just can’t bear to see you in pain, too.” I said as emotional as I could. She just wiped her tears off and I stood up. Together we went out of the room. The room where once I and my mother lived… In this little place I had encountered everything and now I was leaving it with this stranger near me. In the outside I was surrounded with about 20 one of these empty creatures. They were egoistically looking at me and even calling me Miko. Despite the fact that they felt deep in their hearts that I hated that name, they still repeated it like some kind of thoughtless rattles. I felt very disgusted, but I just smiled, because I didn’t have another choice. I again with everyone else checked my bag. After that I took it and went out to the deep jungle surrounded by applause. When I have realized that the villagers didn’t see me anymore, I started to run from them as fast as possible. I wanted to get out of there. My life was so messed up. So damned messed up and I hated it. Anyways, I didn’t have any intentions of saving this flower for these conceited humans. The only desire that I had at the moment was destroy this cursed flower no matter what whether it’s a legacy or not. All my life I have suffered because of these people, because of them and me… my mother died. Yeah, they could say that it was from the disease that she had left. But I remembered even now how she desperately tried to find these spores and to go to the heaven as fast as possible. She succeeded and now her mind was at peace. I wanted to come along with her, but I was scared of dying… I was scared of the painful disease….I was such a coward like everyone else in this filthy planet that it made me ill. I won’t forgive them, I won’t forgive myself… However I won’t let them have a happy life. Even a glimpse of faith is too much for them. It’s not fair that I have to suffer. I’m not doing anything wrong. I’ll just restore everything how should it be. I have thought. After that I let myself be taking away by this green nature… By this peaceful land, where deep inside there was a rose that should have never been born. Kiyoye
Shiki bound through the dense foliage quite easily. It was like the very roots and branches moved out of his way so instead of slicing through his skin they merely caressed his pale skin. Something was not right. Something was terribly off about the forest and he couldn’t stick his finger as bad vibes hit his skin. “What is wrong?” He stopped looking about, placing his palm on a rather thick tree that was growing next to him. It pulsed gently against his hand. Seeking out comfort from the young sapling. “Is something happening to the forest?” He nibbled his lip in fear. What if the humans were attacking the forest and that was what he was feeling? He hoped it was not the case but you never knew. Humans were crafting spiteful beings that tended to trek and expand to their hearts content without a care for their surroundings. He turned away from the tree and kept running blindly around the forest. His heart thudding faster than a sparrows wings nearly deafening him. There wasn’t much to hear, this part of the forest was completely silent, it was too thick for even most animals to comfortably live however distantly, faintly, there it was. Shiki gasped before leaning forward, his body falling to the ground but before he could capsize a vine shot from the ground, wrapping around his ankle as a giant Venus flytrap surfaced swallowing him whole. A tulip bud sprouted on the branch of a nearby tree, rapidly growing till it was a large orangish red bud, blooming. Out of the tulip blossom Shiki stepped out onto the branch and peered down. He was a good number of feet of the ground and looking up from the ground he couldn’t be seen through all the branches below. Walking by, right below him was…he tilted his head and sniffed. Well they weren’t human, or at least not all human. The other seemed to be one of him, or something similar to him. How had he gotten into this forest? Sure this wasn’t the first time Shiki had seen others similar to him though definitely not completely like him. They were still disconnected from the forest. They couldn’t hear the forest’s voice, the forest didn’t feel the need to help them as it did him, they were essentially human with a stronger resistance against the spores. Speaking of, he looked up towards the branch above him and there a massive swarm of spores covered the bottom of the branch like a sea of dandelion seeds. They were waiting for a nice wind to pick up and carry them off so they could breed way for more spore seedlings. Once the seeds had been given enough time to pass through proper germination, they would then take root and sprout into saplings that would one day become the beginnings of an even bigger forest. However the humans burned the seedlings outside of here so the only place they had a chance to properly thrive was inside his dense home. Was this boy going to destroy the spore seedlings? He frowned reaching up and scooping a handful of the spores before blowing them down towards the boy allowing them to attach to the nearby foliage. They released from a bush and he saw the boy change his arm to protect himself. Shiki grumbled as he then completely turned into a small willow tree. Sure it might have seemed big and impressive to the half human but considering Shiki slept in trees that were at least fifty times bigger than the other he would not be easily impressed. He laid down flat on the branch and decided to see what would happen. He couldn’t have people coming into his forest and destroying parts of it. And certainly where there was one outsider there would be more.
