Silver Radiance
It had always worked out in books.. And in movies.. If you just waited, dug your feet in and stood by the woman you wanted as she got emotionally rejected by the coolest guy in school, she would eventually come to realise you were what she wanted all along... Right? Well.. The coolest guy, Kaname, was getting married and though Ruka had come to the realisation she couldn't have the man of her dreams, she wasn't willing to settle for Mr Reliable. It had been a harsh journey, just to find out the pain that he had wanted to comfort her from, was cast upon himself by the very woman he had tried to rescue from loneliness... The world had become a cruel, dark place. For someone who had always been there for others, always tried to do what was right.. Nothing seemed to work out. Resting an arm upon the pale window frame he gazed out into the night, vacant from its usual beauty, hollow and meaningless to those hurt eyes that inspected a single photograph. Ruka.. It was so unfair.. There was no one who would be as willing to make her happy as he was and yet there was nothing but cold rejection in response to his fiery devotion. But it was all too late now... The fire he'd kept burning for all those years had finally been snuffed out. Burnt orange eyes glared at the picture after a long moment of admiring the features of the woman depicted one last time, this would be the last thread to be cut. The strong fingers starting to lose their grasp upon the photograph as it started to bend and shrink against the molten touch, starting to burn and contort with flames that would only devour. As the picture slipped from the strong digits, it burned into dust, drifting into the night as an orange flicker before it was gone, just like the last shred of hope that Kain Akatsuki held within that burning heart. No more.. This feeling would not control him ever again.
KiraMidnight
Aido was calmly messing around in his room.He had now been packing up all of his things that were devoted to Kaname, when he lost his temper. Like Kain he had been beside the one person he wanted to be with for a long time.He let his do as he wished, even when it came to slappng him.And he did all he was told, despite not wanting to.But still Kaname wouldn't return his feelings. On the night before Kaname confessed Yuki was his womoan Aido had confessed his love for Kaname, only for Kaname to turn him down...and he didn't do it in the gentle way either...his words were still ringing in Aido's head and tears streaked his pale cheeks. As he packed everything up he whiped his icy eyes and continued what he was doing. As he did so he stared out the windw, watching the breeze blow the leaves from the tree and he sighed. His mind was raceing, his heart hurt and his eyes kept tearing up. Finally he finished and he sat on his bed, looking at the 10 full boxes. He sighed heavily and placed his head in his hands. He whiped his eyes and stood up,making a fist and stared at himself in the mirror. "Come on Aido! Don't let this thing brong you down!! You are better then this, you know you are!!Now,cheer up and be happy,or this house will be like a grave site...all quite and creepy...!!' After that little pep talk he became happy and cheerful again,he walked out and smiled at his cousin "Lets go out Akatsuki, we need to be happy!! So what if the ones we wanted doesn't want us, we have eachother, so lets go!!"
Silver Radiance
"Go out where?" Kain's expression was flat as usual, the enthusiasm that the other male presented not reflected in his own personality. Akatsuki had always been the calm and controlled one, always thinking things through and worrying about the consequences, he was not the type to just go and do something insane for the sake of going and doing something insane. Unfortunately the man of fire was trapped inside of this calm nature, a nature that was necessary in order to contain his explosive powers from running amok. Even so... When the greatest sadness had invaded his heart, the only thing he could do was burn a single photo when he had feared at one point he might lash out and burn everything around him to the ground. There was a strange hollow feeling inside, as if perhaps he was broken and couldn't feel things the way other Vampires seemed to.. There was... No passion in his heart. Even if there had been for Ruka, it was conveyed very poorly.. No wonder she rejected him. Why was he like this? Why couldn't he seem to be something... more? With a soft sigh he looked into those icy eyes, they had shared a room for so long, grown up together and Akatsuki could always tell when Aido wanted something for himself... This was one of those times where he wanted to drag the fiery male along because he needed the company. Perhaps he should be more considerate. "I don't know what you plan to do, but I am not in the mood for anything crazy."
KiraMidnight
Aido sighed a bit and smiled. He already knew Kain's reaction would be like this but he wouldn't give up on him.He knew ,kain was hurting inside just as much as he was,and he was determined to try and cheer him up.He knew Kain's natural calmness never meant he was happy.Others may not have caught onto it,but he knew, and at times he wished he could be like Kain and pretend not to care...but that was too hard He took hold of his cousin's hand and began to tug him out the door.He didn't want to be sad anymore, and he didn't want Kain to be sad anymore either. He stopped tugging though and just held onto the sleve of Kain's shirt, looking at the floor and trying to find the words to say,but at this moment he was at a loss for words...he just stood there, holding onto the shirt sleeve like a child clingling to his mother so not to get lost. "Lets go...and just do something...I don't want to be trapped here and I don't want you trapped here either....please....just lets go out...anywhere!" Silver Radiance
"Then let's just go for a walk in the park or something. Freeze up some trees to get out your frustrations and I'll thaw them." It seemed like a very silly task indeed, but it was at least something they could do that would not attract too much attention. It was necessary to train ones powers and abilities of course, and doing it in a way that did not injure others was always the desirable alternative to one on one combat. Still.... There was so much going through his head.. There were plenty of other women, he knew that was what they would all be telling him... But how could they ever come to understand how much he had invested in Ruka? Even as a child he had committed to her in his heart and mind, as if there was nothing else in the world for him and it was completely shattered into pieces.. With a sigh, he stood from the window sill and walked past Aido, just wanting to escape the place where he had been thinking far too much about all of this and be distracted by his friend instead. Maybe they should do something crazy and focus on that for a while instead of thinking such depressing throughts. "Come on then, Hanabusa." KiraMidnight
Aido smiled and quickly ran after Akatsuki, taking hold of his arm and leading him to a park they could play at.He had the same thoughts and intentions as Akatsuki, and from looking into the Vampires eyes earlier,he knew for a fact they had the same thoughts. He also wanted to escape, from that place, from the sarrow, and from a world where the one he wanted most rejected himso coldly...he did end up thinking of stupid things to do,but he wouldn't voice those thoughts, since Akatsuki wasn't the type to do such things. Aido wandered to a tree, and stared at it,making sure all other trees were taller and this specific tree was hidden by the others,so no one would catch them.Aido closed his eyes, focusing his anger and fustration onto all the trees sheilded by the taller trees. He the opened his eyes, which at this moment seemed to glow a bright icy blue.He used his powers, which seemed more to pour from him then anything, and in doing so he froze all 20 trees that surrounded them.He took a deep breath, and to much surprise it was cold enough around him that you could see his breath, like smoke blows from a cigarette. He turned to face Akatsuki, panting a bit and giving him a cute smile. And as he spoke his voice sounded cheerful and happy, just as it always did before Kaname turned his world to ashes. He knew to make Akatsuki happier he had to try and keep himself positive first, that way it would be easier to help him.He knew it would be hard, but he also knew that as long as he had Akatsuki he would be just fine "Your turn Akatsuki, just please,do not burn me!" Silver Radiance
It was quite dry outside which made for the perfect setting, though it was also fairly cold. Aido froze the initial tree and though the icy touch crawling over the branches was hard for anyone to spot, what came next would be beyond concealing so easily. "Don't burn you? Then how will I have any fun?" Those eyes narrowed darkly and the air seemed to grow thin as sparks ignited around the high ranking Vampire, dancing over each shoulder like warm flickers of rage all too eager to deliver the burning hand of vengeance onto their target. Burning brightly, guided by the unspoken commands of the auburn haired aristocrat. the flickering limbs of each flame latched onto the trees that surrounded the icy trunk, clinging to the branches and using that offered kindle to burn brightly all around the target. The ice began to melt, slowly, dripping down to the ground with each flame urging closer and closer, careful to avoid the liquid spilling forth. The puddles on the ground were not left to sink into the earth, instead the fire dancing around the dry leaves on the ground sought close to the liquid and burned brightly until it turned into hot steam, rising up against the ice clutching to the trunk to offer more heat to melt it. The blaze devoured more and more of the leaves and bark, fueling the heat that turned the ice straight into steam from the intensity until the tree was bare of the solid substance, merely wet to the touch. That rage burned still in Akatsuki's heart and the flames jumped over onto the wet tree, some instantly dying out while others managed to create enough heat to cause the water to turn to steam before impact, making for a dry enough patch to land. Soon there was no trace left that there had been any moisture on the tree, blazing dangerously as those determined eyes watched the fire consume and burn with such intensity it threatened to consume deeper into the bark and start affecting the tree its self. There was something about seeing that destruction that made the Vampire want to continue, to force every last branch to fall and be consumed by the flames, to erase every trace of its existence until nothing existed but dust blown away, the past erased... If only it was that easy. With a sigh, the flames died down, the tree now blackened and scorched, far more than it should have been and without a word he turned and started to walk away. KiraMidnight
Hearing Akatsuki's words made him wonder, just what was going through this man's mind.He knew Akatsuki would never burn him,he didn't have to fear that, but his words made him kind of hide behind Akatsuki's back so not to get hurt by the flames, even if it was by accident he still did not want to get hurt.So he would watch from a safe place. Aido blinked a bit peaking from behind Akatsuki's shoulder and watching his flames dance, loving the site that had unfolded before him.He watched as his ice was melted and turned to steam. The heat that had surrounded him and made him a bit warm, which he wasn't too fond of being, but he knew Akatsuki needed to calm himself as much as he could so he would not voice his dislike of the warmth. He didn't mind it so much though since it was Akatsuki who caused it. As Aido stared at the scorched tree he sighed with Akatsuki and watched as he walked away.He tried to think,of what tosay, what do do...or even how to calm him...he hated seeing Akatsuki that way...he adored him as he did the others, maybe not his calm ways all the time but just his knowladge and all.He stared at Akatsuki as he walked away.Aido looked at the ground, trying hard to think about what he could do to try and cheer up the depressed Vampire, and before he could think he realised if he didn't catch up with Akatsuki there was a chance he would abonden him there. So quickly, and without midding a beat Aido turned swiftly and dashed after Akatsuki, smiling a bit and keeping his happy look upon his face "Hey Akatsuki, don't leave me behind!!" He ran faster and faster untill he had caught upwith Akatsuki, and now he began walking next to him, still smiling and slightly pantng. He looked at Akatsuki, wondering still what was on the Vampire's mind, and wondering if his own ideas and cheerfulness could mend the Vampire's broken and destroyed heart...but to be honest he kind of dubted himself on the inside, bbut he also knew he had to not doubt himself,or else maybe...Akatsuki would sence his own inner sadness...and if he didn't fully make himself happy, and try hard to forget Kaname's words, then he would only hurt Akatsuki more...though he didn't feell that, that was possiable
Silver Radiance
The fiery Vampire died not respond to the calls of his comrade, instead he walked into the garden's maze, an entertaining stroll for most but a maddening struggle for Akatsuki.. It was like he had lost a piece of himself he feared was gone for good.. That pure calm nature, that laid back attitude was replaced with uneven panic making it hard to control the dangerous powers that could only be effectively wielded by one with a cool head. Why was it suddenly so hard? It was as if a candle had tipped over inside of him and the flames of fury had spread so far it was uncontrollable.. No matter how hard he tried to hide it, the blaze only grew to overcome the paper façade placed forth, leaving nothing but the evidence of chaos behind. No one could know about this.. Glancing up, those unearthly orange eyes did not recognise where they were.. The arches extended on each way, the roses cradled within their buds tangled in the same crimson red over the three choices of path.. What would he choose now? There was so much pressure to move forward.. Going back was never an option.. Yet where he had reached was not where he wanted to be.. What happened if he chose the wrong route? Complicated thoughts plagued him heavily as he stood there, unable to move, stuck inside this moment of torment. Though he was always labelled as being the wild one, all that remained now was a man made of glass, aching to find a way to hold the shattered pieces together and hide the truth. KiraMidnight
Aido followed through the maze, but he already knew his way around the maze having gone through it many, many times. But despite that he followed Akatsuki. He felt so speachless and unable to know what the right thing was to say....or even if he should speak. He felt bad for Akatsuki and he knew that if he said the wrong thing it would hurt his firey friend even worse... He stopped and looked down sadly. Finally he decided that he wanted to stop moving but just as he did he fell to his knees, realizing how much he hurt inside and realizing that he couldn't forget that feeling so quickly. He felt so sad....so helpless and so tworn inside. He opened his mouthto speak, his voice showing his teary eyes and sadness. "I know she hurt you...I know! B-but y-you aren't the only one hurt"
