Hello everyone, I’m writing this caution thread to share about the stealing & reposting issues related to the Weibo (an exclusive Chinese social media platform). 

Firstly, I would like to emphasize that the main purpose of this thread is not a call for uploaders (incl. ex-uploaders, current uploaders, newbie and potential uploaders) to stop posting anything on the forum, but for being aware of these incidents and well-preparing your shared materials in the future. That caution targets to all kind of audiences, especially current uploaders and potential uploaders.

Secondly, you guys might well know Weibo is not an open and friendly app for all to use (especially for foreigners) and that’s the reason why we might have suspicions for a long time, but couldn’t catch solid evidences sooner. Recently, we could register for the Weibo international version and found a way to download some shared materials on Weibo to make an investigation and verification between our shared files on Yaoi Otaku and the same ones shared by a person on Weibo. The conclusion is we found out many of our files shared on YO have been stolen and reposted there. You guys can access these links as our solid evidences for further notices and verification:

Thirdly, some of us were wondering ourselves “why did they steal someone else’s files ?” “why they need to do such shameless actions?”. We can understand that if someone wants to gain “reputations”, “fondness”, “influence” or “money”, “donations” from their fans. But isn’t it better if they can build & achieve these things by their true own purchases? Taking advantage of the others’ kindness for your self-interest is an inexcusable action. And if these stealing matters still happen on Yaoi Otaku,  for sure no one is willing to share things publicly as an obvious consequence. To anyone who is part of these kind of thieves, please ask your conscience again and consider stopping your improper behaviors!

In general, some of us think that every member on Yaoi Otaku should be aware of these incidents; especially current uploaders - potential uploaders. If you guys want to share your own purchases, please try to research and learn how to modify your shared files in advance (i.e, adding watermarks, metadata, sound effects…). Here are some audio/video editing apps that we strongly recommend: Audacity, CapCut, InShot, Pinnacle Studio, Clipchamp, Filmora and audio editing would also be Ocenaudio, WavePad. As an experienced user in this case, I can suppose that it’s simple and not too hard to learn about this. At least, it will help you guys feel more safe, more secure and most important is you guys are able to track and trace to certain suspicious channels with certain evidences later on. Hopefully, this thread will be a helpful notice to all of you, who are real kind members, always follow the rules and who are planning to share something in public.

第三，有些人可能会想：“他们为什么要偷别人的文件？”、“他们为什么要做出如此无耻的行为？”我们可以理解他们可能是想获得“名声”、“好感”、“影响力”甚至“金钱”或“粉丝打赏”。但如果他们是通过真正的购买来获取这些东西，不是更好吗？利用他人的善意来谋取私利是不可原谅的行为。如果这些盗窃行为持续出现在Yaoi Otaku论坛，显而易见的后果就是再也没有人愿意公开分享资源了。对于参与这些盗窃行为的人，请再次问问自己的良心，并考虑停止这些不当行为。

Hello, everyone.  

I’d like to testify on behalf of DoX-san.  

I used to follow her on Weibo, and at the time, I wasn’t aware of the sources of all the files she shared, so I did download some of the materials she posted.  

After following her for a while, I joined her fan group and noticed that whenever new drama CDs were released on the forum, she would immediately engage in trading with her fans in the group. That’s when I realized she was also a member of this forum.

I just want to tell everyone that when releasing new CDs in the future, uploaders can add watermarks or sound effects to the audio to protect their files. Finally, thanks to DoX san for exposing her.

Welp, apparently this is not her first time stealing other people's work. I've followed a chinese translator on Weibo who translate and shared the manga for free. Her work has been stolen by cutting off her watermark. After she making complain bout this, this fella immediately deleted the stolen stuff and start blaming back the translator causing her being cyberbullied by this fella 'fans'. What a dxxk...

Theft is one of the most despicable aspects of human nature, especially when it's done for fame, status, admiration, or personal gain. On Weibo, I saw many instances where she stole content from various sources—drama CDs, doujinshi, manga—which earned her a large following of admirers. Gaining success by taking credit for others’ work is disgraceful. No matter how much praise she receives on the surface, at his core, she remains a contemptible thief.

Yeah, that's exactly the kind of person she is--stealing from others and then playing the victim on Weibo when she's exposed, manipulating her fans turning around and bullying other on her behalf.

I felt equally sorry for her. And the thief still doesn't think she is at fault, and even publicly posted a message asking her fans to attack her. She is really thick-skinned.

After studying Weibo, there is no such selfless sharing. There is a commission for publishing Weibo and you can make money.

Hello everyone. 
Thanks to all the uploaders.
 This issue is very serious.
 I do not want to share my data to yaoiotaku for the benefit of criminals.
When I uploaded here, I wrote “please enjoy yourself” and “please don't upload it to others”, but it didn't work. 
So I decided not to share it here anymore.
It pains me that the uploaders are still having a hard time right now.

I also want to take this opportunity to say. 
Has everyone read the rules here properly? 
When you want to re-upload, the rule is to use the “re-upload thread”
I see people asking for re-uploads over and over again in the “upload” thread. Isn't that causing trouble for the uploader?
You can wait for re-uploads, but please consider contributing to sales by making your own purchases.

i wanted to say big thank you to all the uploaders! when i first discovered this site i was ecstatic and been here for long. Also the main reason i got into BLCD, and exposure to DLsite (lots of genre that has been on my list). i even purchased there for the first time and been meaning to support them from now on.
