Please tell me. Thank you so much

A few months ago, an uploader said he was stopping uploading
I didn't know the details then.
I'm so angry to find out

Thank you so much to everyone who always uploads

Knowing the stealing behaviour in other platform, I feel sad.

For those who stop sharing file, thank you for your kindness for sharing file in the past and I would respect your decision.

For those who still willing to share, I would always stay thankful and keep it to myself.

I hope all of us in the forum would obey the rule.

You pinned this, thank you so much for doing that. It's helpful so the forum doesn't get bumped with nothing.

To all uploaders, I'm grateful for everything you've shared over the years and it's sad to see this is still happening.  Not sure why people can't just be grateful for taking what they're taking for free and just keep it to themselves. 😢 It's one of the reasons I had to change my signature here because people kept asking for others people's things from me without even reading what the uploaders had mentioned in their posts of not sharing. 😢 When you go through the trouble of downloading something someone else has shared for free, the least you could do is read their rules and follow them.

Profiting of these and selling things other people purchased and shared for free is uncalled for. Please stop doing that. 🚫

Yaoi Otaku and Y-Abyss (you know who you are) are my favourite communities for BLCD and discussions on topics. ❤️ Hope uploaders don't stop sharing so everyone like me has a chance to enjoy these, and to follow the steps in original post to mark what you're sharing. All the best to everyone. 💜

I'll take this opportunity to thank all the uploaders who shared before and the ones who keep sharing despite all the problems described. I have posted here before and stopped because of personal reasons but I'm not gonna lie that finding out about the reposting of works in other websites has discouraged me. I might share again in the future but first I need to figure out how to use watermarks and stuff because I have no idea. Special thanks to

for the tips about editing apps and everything really.

Also, I'd like to know since I don't know how Weibo works... is it possible to report the offending account? Is the person violating the website's guidelines or something? Because I might be a little pessimist but I don't expect people like that to suddenly grow a conscience.

I can't believe that such a person still exists. Isn't there any shame? Stealing the resources of the forum poster, I hope this kind of person can turn over a new leaf, take things that don't belong to him, pretend that they bought them and publish them, and don't admit their mistakes to gain the sympathy of others. It's really sad. Thanks again to the good people uploaded on the forum, I hope this person will stop stealing, and please buy genuine ones yourself.

He can't afford to buy it himself, and he takes what others share for free to get benefits. He is really a thief, and it is really shameful to resolutely resist the existence of such people.

I just want to tell everyone that when releasing new CDs in the future, uploaders can add watermarks or sound effects to the audio to protect their files. Finally, thanks to DoX san for exposing her.

It is really shamless for THE THEIF to take advantage of all the uploaders kindness and contribution!!

While the stealing in weibo do need to be addressed, I would also like to mention concerns regarding the public/private groups like Telegram channels, blogs, Discord servers, and streaming sites (i.e., soundcloud) that actively reupload BLCDs, Otome, and Doujin Audios without consent from the original owners, and some who repost behind their backs. We don't know how frequent they post files there, while also doing trades back and forth for something they possibly have never bought.

There are forum members who are part of those channels/groups. Sadly, most of them will have no plans of informing you if your file has been reshared, they'll keep their mouths shut even if they knew where it came from just so they can continue to access free crumbs, unwilling to lose their sole sustenance if it were reported. While few of these reposters don't change and modify anything like this weibo user does, they still violated the uploaders' rule of not reuploading outside the forum. Reposting comes in many forms that it has become a norm for everyone and majority supports it due to how limited sources are. But keep this in mind, YO and AF are one of those free forums where you don't pay anything to get in, nor give up a single dollar to download the files. If you can't get in, there are free VPNs you can use. Uploaders never asks for donations, CDs are not cheap but they are willing to share at the cost of being used by ungrateful people, what you can do at least is to respect whatever rules they place. If you were late to get the files, wait for another reupload unless the owner explicitly states otherwise. Either you buy it yourself or wait for a few more weeks to months for someone who's willing to share with you their purchase. And also, just because you don't reupload another's file doesn't make you any less different from reposters if you don't say anything when you know what group you're involved in.

In fact, I'd like to applaud these troublesome people for inspiring me to modify my files and put watermarks ever since. Play fire with fire. While I do know reposting won't ever stop as long as thieves are being continually fed, at least they will never get the authentic lossless files. And please, I encourage those who can afford to, who have no restrictions to their laws, to purchase a copy of their own if you like the work.

For those who plan to share audios, Dox already suggested a few apps that you can use. On how to use it, you can search for tips on which one you find easier on how you can apply the mixed watermarks / sfx into the tracks. Audacity or any audio editing apps help. I know it's a hassle but if you want your files protected while you wish to share to everyone, there's no other option. One opt is to not share anything to save time and effort with zero stress 🙂.

From here on out, uploaders can choose to share (with watermarks, or no watermarks – but you'll have a hard time if it gets stolen because of zero identifiable evidence you own the file, unless you don't mind), or not share anything at all. People who legitimately buy Drama CDs or mangas won't lose anything out by not contributing uploads. Reputation points? Likes? Follows? Popularity? What do we need these for? It won't pay and feed us. We honestly only wanted to share with good intentions from the beginning without asking anyone of anything in return.

Lastly, I highly advise everyone to properly read the uploader notices at the start or at the end of their post. It doesn't cost you anything to be kind and to respect their decision. Likewise, Google Translate and any TL tools are free if you don't understand English.

On another note, I'd also like to thank

I may not be a member of this for so long but I've seen enough to know what always happened in this forum. Honestly, I really hate when people take advantage of the kindness of others. I often ask myself from time to time, why can't they just be grateful. Is it really that hard to understand a simple rules of the uploaders whose making an effort of sharing despite consistently feel betrayed by those despicable thieves or is it some of the members keeps turning a blind eye to the plead and rules specifically always mentioned by the uploaders when they shared. Then if it is, I hope your rotten conscience gets to you everyday. Karma is real you know. We might don't know you, but you know yourself and it'll be always revert to you. Sadly the peace of this group had been broken for a long time but there's still unconditionally kind person who maybe always let it off for the sake of the good members of this forum. I really appreciate them and forever be thankful.

To all the the previous and currently uploaders we love you and will always support your decisions no matter what. And to all the stealer, I hope your conscience will hunt you for all I care but hopefully reflect and straighten up your actions.

"Please be kind to the Uploaders, we know how much it meant for them to us simply be thankful, followed their rules and keep it to ourself their shared files but at the same time how much it sadden, loses trust and angers them to do the otherwise".

I’m a socially anxious person who mostly lurks silently. Although I’ve been part of this forum for a long time, I rarely post. While expressing gratitude to forum members for their selfless uploads, I’d like to add a few thoughts.

I used to be active on Weibo for a period because it felt essential for connecting with hobbyists and creators. I did meet like-minded friends there, and I genuinely cherish those connections.

However, it’s also a toxic environment. Some users and content sharers exhibit ideas and mental maturity far below their actual age—even if they’re adults or well-educated. They often act on uncivilized impulses, targeting those they perceive as superior by nitpicking innocent mistakes or weaponizing casual jokes to spread rumors and attacks.

Since I’ve moved private communications with friends to other platforms, I rarely use Weibo now, though I still check for messages occasionally. (I’m also displeased that Weibo’s operators frequently manipulate my account to like ads for advertising revenue without my consent.)

While Weibo allows reporting and public call-outs, reporting only temporarily suspends accounts—they can be reactivated or replaced with new ones. Publicly exposing users with evidence is exhausting: you must constantly monitor their posts, and the back-and-forth arguments can drag on for days or weeks. If the accuser stops engaging, the target often declares unilateral victory. (Long-time Weibo users know these verbal wars are endless.)

Regarding reporting tactics: Accounts can be effectively banned by flagging adult content under pornography policies, as Weibo sometimes cracks down harshly. This becomes a war of attrition. I’ve seen free resource-sharing sites driven to shutdowns after being maliciously reported by profiteers who stole their content to run paid platforms under the guise of "free sharing."

Some fan translation groups embed anti-piracy watermarks—like website names or target IDs—in typeset text or audio/image watermarks (though determined thieves still remove them). I’ve noticed K-pop fans sharing resources via ad-infested file hosts, which frustrates me—one wrong click triggers endless waiting before downloads.

Ultimately, content thieves will never stop. Even without monetary gain, fan praise fuels their vanity. They’ll never admit wrongdoing, even when outright stealing.

I hope this provides some useful reference for you.

Welp, apparently this is not her first time stealing other people's work. I've followed a chinese translator on Weibo who translate and shared the manga for free. Reveal hidden contents

Yeah, that's exactly the kind of person she is--stealing from others and then playing the victim on Weibo when she's exposed, manipulating her fans turning around and bullying other on her behalf.

Hello everyone.
Thanks to all the uploaders.
 This issue is very serious.
I do not want to share my data to yaoiotaku for the benefit of criminals.
When I uploaded here, I wrote “please enjoy yourself” and “please don't upload it to others”, but it didn't work.
So I decided not to share it here anymore.
It pains me that the uploaders are still having a hard time right now.

I also want to take this opportunity to say.
Has everyone read the rules here properly?
When you want to re-upload, the rule is to use the “re-upload thread”
I see people asking for re-uploads over and over again in the “upload” thread. Isn't that causing trouble for the uploader?
You can wait for re-uploads, but please consider contributing to sales by making your own purchases.

Sorry for my poor English, thanks for reading this far.

To the criminals lurking on yaoiotaku, please get your good heart back!

Thank you

Yes, I agree. It's not your pessimist, but for the fact that this kind of public thief can't suddenly grow a conscience because she proclaimed to her fans (set at fan mode) that: "she is a person with corrupt morals and she only cares about profit". That means she already read our alert thread on Yaoi Otaku.

I thank you for your question & suggestion, some of us also don't know much about Weibo, but I personally think about plan B for that. Also, my chance to say: thank you for your kind contribution in the past.

We're grateful for your great contributions on the forum, your precious advice in this caution thread; and especially, additional addressing more channels/platforms where thieves and reposting users might be in. Yeah, Bilibili is another source you guys should regularly check as well.

Furthermore, I totally agree with you that we had to say "thank you" to these troublesome people that made us to be more careful and learn how to take precaution/ add modifications on our shared materials ever since we apprehended these stealing matters. We all came to this forum for simply enjoying & sharing our same passion on Yaoi/Boylove and almost uploaders started sharing something with innocence and full of kindness in the first place. However, there is always someone who is ready for taking advantage of our generosity. Hence, it's helpful to us in being aware of these issues to make the next option/ decision on keeping sharing in public or not; be mentally prepared & modified-stuffs are also ways to keep us feeling more comfortable & secure.

Also, Audacity app is my top choice for editing audio. And once again, I'm thankful to you and all ex-uploaders/ senior uploaders for generosity, efforts and contributions so far :D
