"My Lord," An echoed voice whispered through the filled chamber. Voices stopped and as one, eyes glanced towards the interruption. "The humans have increased the numbers of agents investigating the murder incidents." A frown was directed at him and the Lord's displeasure was palpable. "They have also begun checking nearby establishments."

"And what, pray tell, are our agents doing?" Condescending as it was, one Elder need not have asked for it.

"As always, your grace. They are misleading the humans and removing every noticeable evidences of our existence." The Lord's frown deepened and the air grew chilly. "But," His embodied voice added hastily, not wanting to ire his Lord even further. "They sent me here to say that we should take even more precaution than usual as we do our own investigations."

"Leave." His Lord was pleased and the ghost shuddered his obedience as he vanished.

Silence reigned and the Elders waited with bated breath as to what their Lord wished. The man commanded the entire covenant with both fear and respect. As the Patriarch, he was the strongest and the most powerful of them all. And Vampire priorities came first before anything else.

"Send young Saito Zen to watch the newly appointed detective." Were his whispered words and the suddenness of it almost made everyone in the room flinch. "I believe his name is Dorian Grayson. Tell Saito to watch our Mr. Grey from the shadows and learn as much as he can." He stood and walked towards the elegant glass windows of the castle, overlooking the ruined courtyard of the once mighty palace. "Hajime, I want you to go to the deepest parts of the forests of Transylvania. There you will find an old manor, but be ware and never show sign of fear." He looked over his shoulder and gave the young elder a piercing look. "Enter the front doors and move no further. State that you are there by my orders and harm shall not befall you. Tell him that the covenant needs him." He gave a dry chuckle and the chill in the room turned into a blizzard. "Make sure to never overstay your welcome." And with a billow of robes, the Patriarch was gone and the meeting has finally concluded.

Age: Unknown

Personality: First is extremely silent, opting instead to speak through actions and sometimes through rare facial expressions. He is also observant and steadfast in his goals, taking nothing short of perfect cooperation from his underlings and companions. He is cold and apathetic, only caring on things which are closest to him. His trust is hard earned, often times to the extent of people walking beyond the line and out of their comfort zone just for him to give it.

Besides from people he trust, he considers everyone else as cannon-fodders and expendable resources for him to meet his goals. For that, he is often calm and level headed, preferring to finish any conflict with quick and efficient tactics. But once his temper flares it is certain that the one in the receiving end of it would suffer slow agony.

Beyond his cruelty, he feels deeply for the people he trusts although sometimes the way he shows that he does is through lessons they wouldn't forget. Should those lessons be necessary, First is not adverse in cutting off limbs just to make his point clear.

Yet in the core of it all, no one really knows but him.

Appearance:

314wa43.jpg

Age: Maybe 18? 19? 20? Who knows?

Personality: Playful, flirty, charming. What else? Ah. A happy-go-lucky guy, kinda. After all, he's always smiling and cheerful. His actions shows that he's quite caring, sweet and is happy to lend a hand. Is that all? No. In truth, he's merciless and cold-hearted. Trickery is his middle name. Everything about him is false. The moment you asked for help or a favor (which really depends on the continents), he'll help but in return, you own him a debt whether you know it or not. If failed to do his demands, prepare to face the consequences.

He loves watching anything that humors him. Feeling in pain? Entertaining. Wet your pants? Entertaining. Screaming incoherently? Entertaining. He sees everything as amusing.

Sharp, intimidating, deceiving.

An excellent observant liar, often bullshitting his way through and the people around him, "an annoying bastard" who really loves screwing around. His serious side is very rare if he even has one.

A mischievous guy who never reveals his secrets.

A cunning man who gets what he wants.

A heartless man who never cares for the world... and himself.

Vampire/Human: Vampire

Background: He's a person shrouded with mystery. He doesn't reveal his past and the only thing you can get is that he had a sibling. Currently where is his sibling? Gone. Vanished. Emphasizing on the "had". Did he even had a sibling? Who knows. No one knows him well, no one knows him too well. And even if you do - which will definitely not happen. maybe. - he won't tell. He doesn't even has a file about his past maybe because he managed to get a hold of it and deleted away from prying eyes or he really doesn't even know himself. Mysterious and confusing.

Profession: Given his personality, he can convince others to do his bidding. Able to cover his tracks. Getting or gathering information. Is able to convince you to believe his words when it's really all lies, deceiving you from the start. Maybe.

Seme/Uke/Seke: Seke

Weapon: Naginata

Unique Ability: -Able to look into one's brain and receive that person's memories, although not all of them are clear.

-Is able to create illusions by imprinting it into the victim's brain that causes them to hallucinate and it might be able to break their mentality, sending them into a mental frenzy, but it depends on the victim and unless the victim's mind (mental) is very strong, they'll be able to break it.

-Replace one's memories with another but it takes a toll of his energy (it depends) and chances are it might not succeed. If it does, the memories he replaced will go back to real memories but usually makes the victim's mind hazy, mixing fake memories with the real ones however, the succession is 10% meaning he doesn't use this. Very very rare. A huge risk in his opinion, he thinks.

He doubts everything and everyone else. Nothing bores him more than mediocrity. He's very good at manipulation and never do things by halves. His main flaw is his unbelievable self-confidence. He loves to play with people minds and always get what he wants.

Likes & Dislikes: Hajime likes silence, rain storms, dogs, martial arts and full moons. He dislikes crowds, cats, clear night skies and noises.

Vampire/Human: Vampire

Background: He don't like to speak about his past or to be asked about it. As an elder he knows many secrets and finds more each day. He prefers to live alone in a huge house away from other vampires and humans.

Dorian, because of his profession, is usually quite reserved and quiet. He has dedicated much of his time to his job and in doing so tends to try and blend in as much as possible; which earned him the title Grey. (Yes, it is also a play on his last name.) At home though, away from other seeing eyes, he is a colorful character, enjoying music, enjoying games by himself, dancing to his music. Though he is quiet and keeps to himself, he is warm and kind, always willing to listen to both parties, willing to try and help where he can. Being gentle like he is, he needed something to try and build up some sort defense, he was fortunate to have gotten his job.

Vampire/Human: Human

Background:

Dorian lived a fairly normal life. Middle class parents, went to school. During his childhood he had fun like every other kid, running around laughing. Things changed though when his father passed away at a fairly early age; his father worked as a Detective on the local police force. Without the man who would teach him what he needed in life, Dorian relied mostly on his mother after that, someone who would help him as he helped her. Family became a close thing for him, other people came and left though to him, he would always have his family.

When he entered highschool, he watched the other kids heard themselves into their usual cliques, something he wanted no part of. He studied hard then, trying to do what he could so he could try and become a detective himself, to try and let his Father's legacy live on. Because of his almost literal blindness to socializing, he graduated early; moving into college to study what he wanted.

His hard work eventually paid off, allowing him to become a Detective on the same police force his father worked on. It was a dream come true...

Until he was put on one investigation. A young lady who had moved there from Barcelona, was found murdered in her one room apartment. Dorian hadn't stopped, working day and night to try and decipher the case. His findings slowly lead him to a man who lived in Barcelona, history showing that they were once old lovers. Turned out she had moved to escape his abusive hand.

After closing the case with the local police there in Barcelona, he had caught attention from the FBI (who also helped on the case) who had requested he send a resume.

Now he was brought here, starting fresh in the FBI at the tender age of 22. It's been one whole year, he had been kept inside working the papers and behind the scenes. Though he had a feeling they would soon bring him out into the field to utilize his keen Investigation skills.

Profession: FBI Agent

Seme/Uke/Seke: Uke

Weapon: Two Silenced Handguns

Unique Ability: Keen Attention to Detail, and Investigation skills.

What we know about Dorian - He has never come in contact with anything that Was Not Human.

Somewhere in a dark alley, one can hear someone humming happily, in where Saito Zen is currently located.

"Zen."

The humming stopped.

"Well, well~ It it isn't one of my favorite Elders!" Saito chirped, a happy grin stretching across his face. It made the Elder frown, he can tell that the reddish brown-haired boy didn't even bother hiding the sarcasm laced on the words.

His happy grin looked mocking.

"So~?" He dragged out the 'o', "Did either you or the other old guys disappointed The First drastically to the point one of you was sent here to get the amazing me?" He purred, half-lidded ruby eyes smoldered with glee. "What happened to the proud boast the other day? Don't tell me that it was all bluff?" There was no doubt the older-looking will definitely rise to the bait.

He did.

The Elder growled at the balant disrespect. "We didn't fail." He snapped, "The Patriarch sent one of us to give out your mission!" The Elder narrowed his slight squinty eyes, chin lifted and shoulders raised, "Despite your skills, your attitude will not be tolerated within our ranks. Show respect! We are your Elders, your superiors, with our power; we can rid of you this instant." This would have intimidated the servants under their hold,

But Saito was no servant. He wasn't like those weak, obedient cowards. He was no idiot.

The Elder's arrogance was amusing, never failing to react the way Saito wanted him to react, always failing to notice he was already being toyed. Again. How pathetic, he thinks. "You do know that you have to get The First's permission, rii~iiight?" He drawled, enjoying the sudden paleness of the older one. "Since I know that you know that I know you loath my existence, why don't you just give me my mission?" Now matter how amusing the Elder's reaction is, he had to do The First's mission give to him.

Saito Zen didn't like being ordered, so there were times were he didn't do the missions that were went to him and didn't care at the fact that the Patriarch getting mad or irritated or whatever. Saito wouldn't let himself be caged by others, he wouldn't. Not even to the 'God' himself.

And it didn't matter, he didn't like doing 'errands' for free.

The Elder huffed, "Humph. Your mission is to watch Dorian Greyson from the shadows and gather information about him. That is all." He gave the other a critical eye, "Don't fail." Clearly, the older one wanted to jinx him.

"...You know." Only after a few seconds of silent did Saito spoke up, "Why didn't you just send one of your underlings instead of personally delivering the message yourself, when you really hate me?" His eyes sparked for a minuscule, grinning widely, "Oh-ho, I see now~" He widened his eyes, fake sympathy sparkling in his eyes, jutting out his lower lip, cooing at older one like he was a baby, "Aww~ You failed to get The Patriarch's approval, feeling like shit in which you really are and so you personally went here to make your chicken self better by bullying little ol' me? How lame!" He mockingly wailed at the end, purposely stretching out the letter 'a' to rile the old man up.

The Elder gritted his teeth behind tight-lipped lips. His face red with rage, feeling a touch of humiliation but his pride wouldn't let him feel it whole. Saito clearly looked through his memories with that damn annoying unique trait of his that annoyed the hell lot of them.

Closing his eyes, he silently took deep breaths, no no, he couldn't yell at the annoying boy because it'll be like him losing to a younger one than him (was the boy even younger than him?) in a battle. His arrogant pride couldn't- wouldn't let him lose.

But when the Elder opened his eyes, the boy was gone.

His eyes caught a note on the ground in front of him, words written in beautiful, elegent cursive; Saito's trademark handwriting.

'You suck, old lying fart! But you were entertaining though. Ha-ha-ha! ;P'

The volcano erupted.

"ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN SAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

It was a night with a beautiful full moon. Hajime loved this kind of night, the light of the moon was so bright and the air was fresh and cold. The shadows of the trees were playing in the night and Hajime could hear the noises of the wood. He enjoyed being alone in the nature so we was walking slowly to his house in the wood. He knew he must accomplish the Patriarch order. Once he arrived at home he changed the clothes and got prepared for his travel. He took the car out of the garage and left to town to catch his plane for Transylvania.

Hajime hated to spend too much time in the human town but it was the only solution to go in that far away land. Transylvania was one of his favourite places on Earth because of the wild landscape. The Mountains were high and full of wild animals. At night it was a scary place for humans but a pleasant one for vampires, for Hajime was a Heaven on Earth.

After a long trip the plane finally landed gently on the runway and Hajime just ran quick to a taxi. He just ordered “Please drive me in the wood” Hajime asked the taxi driver. The driver looked at his with a scary face “Are you sure my Lord you want to go there? Everybody here knows is a haunted place.” Hajime yelled “Keep your mouth shut and take me there!” The driver started the car and didn’t say at word again. Once they arrived there Hajime jumped from the car and the driver run quickly away.

Finally I’m here” Hajime said and smelt the fresh air. The driver wasn’t wrong. It was a scary place full of old trees many of them were broken or even rotten. The air was humid. So for the humans the smell was unbearable. But for Hajime it was like an ocean breeze. Soon Hajime entered in the woods looking for the house. Inside the wood was very dark and there was no moon that night so it was a difficult journey for Hajime to find the house. But once he found the alley which was leading to the manor he knew he arrived. The manor finally appeared in front of him.

It was an old house built from black bricks in an old style. The big windows were all broken and covered by the trees branches. The old trees were very noisy in the wind the same as the old gate. The gates where made from iron and were already rusty. “Such a nice house” Hajime thought and ran until the gate. But as soon as he tried to open it many bats flew above him trying to bite him. Hajime raised his arm and the birds ran into the house. As Hajime finally passed through the gates he could saw the manor in all its glory. The roof was so old that Hajime was wondering why he didn’t collapse under the weight of the sleepy ravens. There were so many of them in the two trees that were in front of the building too. The branches without leaves had strange forms and it was like they wanted to catch everything around them, they even entered on the house through the broken windows. In the empty garden three wolves were looking with hungry eyes at him. Hajime was impressed by the manor and was wondering who's living there.

"Hello is anybody there?" he yelled and waited for the answer.

Another night meant another day for Dorian as he gazed at himself in the bathroom mirror. His tie was straight; his hair laid perfectly framing his face, while his suit shaped him into the figure of the ‘Handsome Man’ much like his Father had been. A smile spread across his face as he leaned over placing his hands under the cold water that spouted from the faucet. It felt so good in the warming Spring weather. Shutting off the faucet he walked over pressing the button for the air dryer, a wonderful invention he thought as he moved away and opened the door.

His gait exuded confidence as he made his way down the corridor to his Boss’s office. He was happy to have gotten onto his first large investigation; his attention to detail had landed right in the middle of everything. He figured it was something he got from his father. Reaching his hand up he gently rapped on the door with his knuckle before he heard a deep ‘Come in’ echo from the other side of the wooden portal. His boss was an older graying gentleman, the years of his work etched themselves into the lines on his face that conveyed a sense of wisdom from the experience he had under his belt.

Dorian stood in front of his boss’s desk as he waited to be briefed on the details of the investigation he was supposed to be going on. The room was stuffy, large boxes littered the corners as the older man leaned back in his chair. Removing his glasses he rubbed his eyes before leaning forward to toss the spectacles onto the wood desk, his hands now grasping for a manila folder which he opened before once again leaning back in that relaxed manner.

“Mr. Grayson, Understand this investigation has been going on for years. We have always come close to where our targets should be however we always seemed to be met with a brick wall. I chose you to finally take it over because of your outstanding performance. You have noticed things that most other men would have never thought to look at. I am hoping you can change the dynamics of this investigation. With me?” He stopped and looked over at Dorian from the side as he swivled his chair.

Dorian nodded to him curtly. “I am with you. If I may I have over looked the file myself and it seems that these deaths and disappearances are never turned up. It is almost as if people are falling off the face of the earth. To be honest it looks like our suspects are convicted felons in the area, people that the victims have known. Those are obvious targets to look into, though they always turn up dry or dead. I think we are dealing with something much worse. My instinct is telling me that what is happening doesn’t have to do with usual obvious suspects. I think money and status are involved. I also think that someone who is knowledgeable on hiding their tracks is involved. If you’ll excuse me for saying, it can’t be the obvious. I already have a few places I plan on checking. On top of that, it doesn’t seem like it’s just one person either. I think there is a large group involved, not a known one mind you, but a group that is not known at all.” He ended his slight observations as he looked at the older agent smile and chuckle. His hand dropped the file on the desk before he looked up at him with those dark hazel eyes and smiled.

“That is why I put you on this. You are already showing up the older veterans here with what you have thought of. We needed a fresh face like yours to think outside the box. Now get out there then. Don’t disappoint me.” He said with a dismissive tone. Dorian bowed and grabbed the folder before spinning around towards the door to exit promptly. He had to disguise himself in order to do this. Whoever they are trying to track is already onto them and they know what to look for. He couldn’t just waltz up in his full suit attire and not be suspected.

Once he reached his desk, he grabbed a bag of clothing quickly and made his way to the bathroom. Once in the stall he stripped his suit off (wearing it to look good to the boss) and quickly donned the dark clothing meant to help him blend in with a certain dark underground play club. The club itself was high quality and meant for high rolling clientel. Because it was the highlife equivalent of an exotic club, there was nothing they could do to shut it down, since no prostitution came of it. Though he was about 70% sure that this was one of the places where some information could be found. It had no connections to anything, stood alone, and kept to itself. To him that was suspicious. Usually high clubs like that work with other clubs to help generate business.

He stepped out of the stall and made sure that his dark outfit looked pristine. Gothic chic it seemed. A soft smile crossed his lips as he nodded before walking back out of the bathroom. Passing by his desk he left the report there with his other clothes, tonight he was determined to get down to the bottom of this investigation and find the heart of what was going on.

As he stepped out of the building, the warm night air blew past him as he made his way to his sleek black BMW. Sliding into the driver’s seat he brought the engine to life and pressed on the gas. It purred beneath his feet. He pulled it out of park, backing up before darting off down into the heart of the city.

Club Silence seemed to be either well known though no one talks about it or it is not well known by the general public. Dorian had never been able to dig up any information on it in his preview of the investigation. It seemed like it was absolutely the perfect spot to start since all the other obvious places were dried up by previous investigators. He parked his car fairly far away, hoping to create the illusion that he had been walking around.

An hour had passed before he finally made it to his destination. Standing off leaning against the brick building across the street, he watched as people passed by, never once looking up to the Club. It almost appeared as if it were hidden directly in public. This didn’t seem quite right. After he finished observing the place, he strode across the street and looked up at the door. As he had the people passing by simply ignored him. It was as if he were invisible too… Inhaling softly, he pulled on the door and opened the portal. Looking inside it was dark save for a small light source down at the bottom of a spiral staircase. The door closed quietly behind him as he inhaled again.

“Here we go…” He said softly as he began to descend the stairs.

The wind whispered and whistled, the cold stinging and the darkness almost compressing. The gloomy trees that surrounded the decrepit manor creaked under unseen force, as if silently discouraging both animal and man to come even a yard close. The rusted gates shrieked as wind passed and caressed it to the side. Dead leaves swirled and chased each other as the visitor silently passed by.

The manor, itself, imposed a forgotten atmosphere, its rundown image stating that it was a couple of centuries old. Broken glasses littered the porch, statues; gone black with dirt and grime, adorned the entryway, uneven cobblestones decorated the path; silently stating that more than one foot had tripped on a misplaced step, and a once magnificent fountain sat destroyed on one corner of a dead garden. A wood creaked as a gust passed by.

Despite the darkness that sauntered outside, the inside of the manor was strangely illuminated by moonlight. Pale rays entered through gaping holes on a once aristocratic ceiling. A tap of a water droplet echoed through the ominous shadows, followed by the reverberated voice of the visitor. Then as if to answer the call, four sets of green orbs glowed from a deeply shadowed corner. They blinked, out of sync, and it was evident they were eyes.

"You are not human..." Was the croaked voice of the still shapeless entity. It didn't move, just stared at the visitor. "You smell...like the...last one..." Another croak and a faint rustling accompanied it this time. "Master said...not to...harm..." Then a ray moved, as the moon went high, and it illuminated half of the creature's form. It was humanoid from waist up, with a some kind of chitinous plating that covered her small breasts; it seemed to be integrated into her skin. Her neck was slim, shoulders small and frail arms with hands that were clasped together just against her middle. She had an angular face, with pointed chin and cheeks, three sets of eyes adorned her forehead; with them reducing in size the higher they were stationed. Above her eyes were her hair and each strand was about two inches thick; they wiggled and as one shifted it became noticeable that at the end of each strand lied a snake head. The lower part of her body was that of a snake, the entire length of it coiled in a tight circle, as if it was all the creature could do to stop herself from bounding across the room and killing the visitor.

She continued to stare for a few more minutes, probably deliberating if she would gain the master's favor if she killed him. Then just when she was about to move, either to retreat or to attack, a shadow passed through the manor. It stopped her, fear and delight warring to take over her scaly features. "The Master...will be...with you...shortly..." Her croaking voice almost sounded like a purr...as if saying the word 'Master' scratched an inch in her twisted soul.

"Izhma...Cerebro...Go." A surprisingly gentle voice stated as a figure, about six-foot-five, entered through the shredded front doors. While gleamed as moonlight illuminated his features, crimson eyes finally regarding the visitor once the snake-woman had left. "Sent by Patriarch?" Were his too silent words as a cold glint flashed through his eyes. His look did not waver, nor did it change but the room felt more hostile than it was before. Somewhere in the distance, a wolf howled at the moon.

(sorry about the lateness, I was really busy in real. Like really busy. >

"Heh, lucky~" Someone sang from the shadows, grinning madly that showed white pearly teeth, the only other thing that showed from the dark was amused ruby eyes watching the oblivious human went inside a certain building, "New little toy went inside my building, teehe~"

Let us begin, shall we?

The shadow's presence was no more.

-

"...Yes?" A lady behind the desk, typing something in a laptop looked up at the sound of the door opening. Her bright eyes blinked, surprised flitting across her eyes and face before she returned back to her professional look.

Her nose caught the person's scent. Huh? What was a human doing here in this building?

That's right. The lady is not human, she was a vampire. Under a certain someone's thumb. She inspected the human on the doorway, mind turning on what was this person's reason for being here. The lady knew there were rumors about this building, some about getting information here was true. But there was another reason why this building exist, not just having information, after all.

He must have let the human in, but it didn't matter. This wasn't her business anyway, all she knew was to serve him, she owe him a huge debt. The true owner of this building.

And yes, there was her 'boss' who was not really her boss. He was her true boss.

"What do you need, sir?" She asked professionally, slightly fixing her hair bun to make herself look tidy. It wouldn't do no good if she looked a mess.

"Yuuna-chii~! Here's your coffeeee~!" A male - judging by the voice - cried cheerfully, slamming the door behind the desk - to another room - open, one cup of coffee and one cup of chocolate in the male's hands. He slightly skipped to hand her coffee on the table, sending her a flirty smile, "Have I told you how beautiful you are?" He swooned until he caught a person he never saw before here inside.

"Oh! We have a guest? How surprising. It's polite to introduce ourselves right?" He gestured to the sitting lady beside him, "This is Mirui Yuuna~!" He ignored her muttered "I can introduce myself, idiot. And we do not need introductions."

He put a hand on his chest and smiled,

"My name is Zen Saito! Just call me by my first name! Nice to meet you~!"

“Hello” Hajime yelled one more time and waited for the mysterious person to show up. “The Patriarch sends me” he added but nobody answered. “Did I come in the wrong place?” he started to wonder himself and decided to leave. But in the moment he wanted to turn back finally he heard the house door creaking and a silhouette appeared in it.

The silhouette began to move forward with little steps like an old man. “So he’s a very old vampire. No wonder the Patriarch needs him” Hajime thought and waited for the person to approach him. But soon he realized the person who was walking on the alley was a younger one and not only that: it was a very beautiful vampire. When the vampire was at five meters from him Hajime could see him very well in the light of the moon.

First of all, Hajime was hypnotized by his red eyes full of secrets and mysteries. His hair was long and white and his long cat ears were so white and ready to catch all the noises from the cold air. But what impressed Hajime the most was the strong aura of the other vampire, the aura of a very wise and important person. The other vampire studied Hajime as well. Hajime didn’t forget Patriarch's words, not to show fear.

After they started at each other few more seconds Hajime decided it was time to say what he was doing there. “I’m Hajime Yamada and I’m here at Patriarch orders. He has a message for you” Hajime said and waited a word from the other person. Seeing the other vampire had nothing to say Hajime explained “ The covenant needs you. The Patriarch sent me to tell you this". The other vampire moved his ears then started to laugh.

The lighting was soft, making it difficult to see anything against the black painted walls of the club. As he came to the final stair, Dorian stopped for a moment. There was an odd feeling about this place... He looked around and had to wonder if there had been magnets installed into the walls. Sometimes if there is a strong enough magnetic field it can cause one to feel as if there is something supernatural present.

He shrugged it off though, tucking his speculation down into the back of his head as he stepped forward to push open two intricate doors decorated by a modern feel with tinted black glass panes. Inside there was a desk to the left, and a lovely lady behind it. Curious, what kind of club has a desk to pass by? Something else to tuck away for later use... A smile crossed his lips as he flashed his dazzling white teeth when she looked up to notice him.

"Evening to you Miss, I was just looking for a place to sit and enjoy myself. When I saw the-" His words were cut off as the sing-song voice of the new male rang out. He looked up as the door slammed open revealing a rather eccentric male. Dorian caught every detail of the man's face, his hair, and what he was wearing to keep for future records. Another smile crossed his face as he nodded to the gentleman.

"Hello there Zen. What kind of... Uh... Place is this? I saw the door and felt rather curious so I had to take a little look. I got the feeling that it was a club of some sort. I would be happy to stay and talk if you would be willing to give me the company?" He kept a cool composure as he spoke to the other man. He needed to know what was going on here, and try to get himself on the inside so he could derive any information. there were lives lost and something told him it was tied into this establishment somehow...

Upon looking closer at the one who called himself Zen, he noticed his eyes were red. was he wearing contacts? He must have been. He got a strange feeling from him... It wasn't good and his instincts were usually right. Internally, he narrowed his eyes as he processed everything so far. An unmarked building, staircase, underground, separate doors, desk, eccentric man, unknown establishment... So far it seemed fishy...

Crimson eyes narrowed at the implication of what the visitor had said. A small twitch; an almost imaginable crease marred First's indifferent expression. Such bravery for them to think that he was, anytime, at their beck and call. Annoyance stirred in his frozen veins, the feeling slow and consuming due to a millennium of indifference. Then a blink and those crimson eyes were now behind the visitor; glaring down at him as if the vampire was an infection that needed to be removed.

"I smell your blood." Were his too silent words, winds whistling outside the dilapidated manor making it almost impossible to hear. "You are an Elder. That is the only reason you are still alive." Those eyes narrowed and a small sneer appeared on his too red lips. "Tell Patriarch that a storm will announce my arrival. Better be prepared." Then he was walking away, the malevolent atmosphere that encased them following his stride. "Leave, youngling. No longer welcome, you are." Only a whisper remained but with it carried authority and command none could hope match.

"My Lord," Reluctant, timid, slow; afraid. "Are all these upgrades on our defenses really necessary?" A cringe then an audible swallow. "I mean all this extra protection for a friendly visit from one vampire?"

The Patriarch smiled, cold and sadistic. "What's the first thing a vampire is taught?" His tone was contemplative with a hint of familiarity and maybe awe around the edges.

"Our history, my Lord. Specifically the Dark Ages." The Patriarch nodded, clasped his hands together behind his back before inclining his head to let the Quartermaster know that he can continue. "It is said that our covenant started before the Dark Ages and that the Dark Ages only came to be because we almost had all the lesser beings in our thrall."

"Affirmative." A slow curving of his lips and the Patriarch almost looked amused. "Then will you be able to sit calmly when the vampire responsible for creating the Dark Ages is gonna be visiting your stronghold, knowing that somehow you're always in his bad list?"

"My Lord! Are you suggesting - "

"I am not suggesting anything, Quartermaster. But it's never bad to be prepared." A frown and the lesser of the two knew that it was time to clamp his mouth shut. "Recall all nearby Coven Members, no matter how important their missions are. Tell them that there is a high chance that the Covenant will be directly attacked." A nod was his answer, then small whispers started.

'How much damage can one vampire do against an army of vampires?' The Patriarch smiled at one such whisper. Probably not much of a fight if it were on normal ground. And First was anything but normal. He just hoped that the coming inspection would not have too much casualties.

Saito looked surprise with his eyes widening. He turned to Yuuna, "This is a club?" He asked, astonish like a little kid. Yuuna rolled her eyes. "It's because of the rumors, idiot." Rumors were powerful, and thanks to that this building became one.

"Oh." He was disappointed, pouting before he swung around to turn his attention to the other (human) detective guy. "We~ll, I didn't know this was a club. This place has information, mostly rumors from the beginning though but we check if it's accurate or something, so says the Mr. Boss. Information for Information." He informed. The red-eyed boy flashed the other a smile, "Please do! We love having some company, it gets lonely because Yuuna-chan doesn't like hanging out with me and this place is very private."

.

(Inwardly, he sneered, "O-ho! It seems this prey is a little more difficult than most of the pitiful preys." His sneer turned to a mocking smile, "Heh, this will be fun.")

.

Yuuna huffed, muttering something about 'you're annoying and I like my alone time.'

Cheerful ruby eyes pierced against Cautious blue eyes.

"Why don't we go to one of the rooms and maybe get to know each other, shall we? I love helping people so I'll try to help you as much as possible!" He chirped, with a dazzling grin.

.

("Come to my trap, little mouse. I'll try not to bite too hard.")

Hajime nodded before turned aside and passed through the old rusty gates. The meeting with the other vampire was over. He received the answer Patriarch wanted and was time to leave this wild land. Hajime didn’t look back instead he started to run as he wanted to be far away from there. The way to house was a long one.

…….......................................

Back home he took a shower and changed his dirty clothes. They smelt like that old and wet forest and threw them into the garbage. It was time to meet the Patriarch. Being an Elder meant he could speak with the Patriarch anytime. So he headed to the place he knew the Patriarch was at that time. Once he entered into the room he bowed and took a glass of blood from the table. After he drank it he was ready to speak.

“I’m back my Patriarch. I have the answer from that mysterious person” . The Patriarch made him a sign to seat down. Hajime did so as he took a deep breath “Tell Patriarch that a storm will announce my arrival. Better be prepared.” After he said that he remained silent for a while, then he said “That was his answer. Nothing more, nothing less”. Hajime stood up and asked “Do you need me for something else?” The Patriarch didn’t say a word and Hajime took that as a no. But he knew he couldn’t leave the palace now so he headed to his room from there.

As he walked on the corridor the other vampires started to gather around him and all wanted to know where he has been those days. “Patriarch gave me a mission. I know all of you want to know what was about but you must wait. Once all the vampires are here Patriarch will explain more.” Hajime smiled after saying that and let them to whisper.

The palace was a place he always liked but some vampires annoyed him sometimes and he enjoyed being alone into his personal room. Once he arrived there he jumped into a chair and called his personal servitor. “Bring me a drink, please”. The ghost nodded and quick vanished from his master sight. While waiting the drink his thoughts were around the storm, he could felt it closer and closer. The stood up and looked through the window at the shiny full moon. The world he knew could change forever.

So this place was meant for information was it? Not a club? Tucking this information away in his head, he couldn't help but wonder if it was just a trick to offset him from the real reason for the place. It could also not be a club at all. He narrowed his eyes as he watched the strange male with, red eyes? Again contacts... Or were they? He leaned over the counter to get a closer look as he appeared to be intently listening to the other male who spoke so freely. There weren't any contact lines from what he could tell... Did he have his eyes changed?

This guy was strange. He couldn't place whether he was sane or insane. As the receptionist mentioned that it was because of rumors, he seemed to get sad... This was strange behavior. He didn't seem to even know what was going on at all even... Leaning back he sighed gently and looked around. So he was in a dark place, with minimal decorations that people called a club... That was meant for information.

Grey sighed as he rubbed his eyes, he was here for information and he supposed that was what he was going to get. With a smile he addressed Saito.

"Of course I would love to come in and sit down and talk with you a while. I was looking for company anyway." Maybe he knew something about the murders that were happening and why they were being covered up... This was his job, why he was here. Looking over he saw a door to the left and pointed to it. "Is that a room where we could sit?"

dark-castle-251073.jpg

Dark was the night, thick angry clouds blanketing the heavens. A full moon the only source of light. The wind was cold and it howled in discordant shrieks. The trees swayed and the castle bell rang; struck by powerful hammers, signaling that the storm was upon the damned.

No lights were opened, but activity was evident beyond the black walls. Automated turrets groaned as their gears came to life. Heavy marching followed, as the main doors of the castle was opened, and out poured a battalion of ethereal creatures; Vampires. Each were armed, silver blades, arrowheads and polished armors all gleamed against the moonlight. They were beautiful; statuesque in their unholy glory. Then the ten Elders exited, clothed in velvety robes, they walked in equal strides and in their eyes the fire of war raged. Finally the Patriarch. He moved with grace unlike any of them. Garbed in his black armor, adorned with various gems of varying kinds, he walked with sure footing; a Master that every Vampire behind him looked up to. Then they waited.

And when the moon was high above; time at its peak, the ground began to shake. Birds, bats and small creatures scampered and flew, in a myriad of panicked haze, in their desperation to flee. Thunder echoed in the distance on every subsequent tremble and when it was over, everything was eerily silent. Then out of the darkness two figures appeared, both male and equally towering in their stature. With skin of ashen gray and bulbous muscles, both stood thirteen feet in height. With every step the ground shook, the army before them poised for attack. And still they came closer.

Then with a grunt, the beautiful army charged, automated turrets blaring the trumpets of gunfire against the two giants. Blades and arrows pierced their skins yet no blood poured and still they continued to advance, squishing unlucky Vampires along their path. And the Elders and the Patriarch watched. Where was he? Was the man they all feared became weak over the centuries? Or was he testing them? And with sudden realization, the battalion they have prepared was now no more than half of its original size. And the two behemoths were not even attacking.

They retreated, pulled back the bridge that connected the castle against land and closed the gates; It boomed with finality. And when they looked back, the giants were no longer there. With a start they looked up, but it was too late and the two behemoths crashed to the ground with a deafening roar. They had jumped the distance and now they were behind those closed gates. And when they stretched with a mighty bellow, it was fear, thick against the mist of dust, that finally made crimson eyes open.

They glowed, hanging like suspended wil-o-wisps against the darkness of the main doors of the castle. He had been inside all along and they had not even sensed him. Then the two giants knelt as the visage of First appeared out of the doorway. He gave them all a look; it was blank, but disappointment was evident in intensity.

Then the sound of nails scraping against a chalkboard screeched in every ear and the entire covenant fell to its knees in anguished wails. First was not pleased and the sound intensified. Among the clouds, the moon moved higher.
